We use SmartRecruiters to do all our recruitment up to onboarding. SmartRecruiters solved our problem with multicasting, delayed responses and application tracking. We use it with our different managers, all our regions and recruiters. This makes it possible to track applications in the pipeline. This allowed us to implement more processes.

SmartRecruiters is very useful for putting an ad online. Multicasting is also well done because it allows you to send an ad to several different job boards in one click. On the other hand, the egonomics needs to be reviewed, the different tabs are poorly placed, just like the visualization of the CV.

We use SmartRecruiters as our ATS for both US and Barcelona open requisitions. I would say our hiring needs are a bit volatile, and quite dormant in 2023 but we've been able to solely focus on this tool for our applicant tracking needs. I'd say something I'd like to be implemented within the system is to have it a bit more user friendly, and to have a support chat tool to answer any questions I have right at the moment. That would be super helpful.

I think SmartRecruiters is well suited for smaller companies with low budget to get started with the recruitment processes. I think once the company is more established, there are other better solutions like Greenhouse or Lever which are more user friendly, have a vast suite of solutions for more reporting or convenience tools

My team and I use SmartRecruiters to post jobs, communicate with potential candidates, schedule interviews, send offer letters, hire candidates in conjunction with Workday. Using SmartRecruiters allows us to track all actions related to the hiring process.

SmartRecruiters is a great tool. We could schedule up to 100 interviews per week spread across out global offices. We are able to do this fast and efficiently with the help of SR. We are easily able to directly email and coordinate both to internal teams and with external candidates. We are also able to track all activity when it comes to scheduling, reviews and job postings.

SmartRecruiters is used by our stores and support services. It allows: the complete dematerialization of the recruitment process (everything is centralized in the same tool, and for people who are not in the recruitment business, SmartRecruiters makes it possible to guide and facilitate the process and collaborative work), saving time (thanks to job templates, email templates, integration with Microsoft Office 365, job boards...), optimizing our processes, and centralizing and securing data.

We use SmartRecruiters as our main Applicant Tracking System. We post all of our jobs through SmartRecruiters, Track Candidates through the entire process from identification to onboarding, schedule the interviews in the system and use it for candidate reach out. It is our primary platform for recruiting and talent management. It is super helpful because we can create templates for common messages like interview scheduling and even integrate SmartRecruiters with our Outlook Calendars so easier scheduling with multiple people and even invite candidates to do self scheduling. This platform is a one stop shop for everything recruiting related that we need.

It is a very user friendly interface that can list all of our open jobs (or filter down to just the ones I want to see) and I am able to find candidates quickly based on where they are in process. The forms are easy to fill out and it is very collaborative to tag people for updates. The interview scheduling capability is easy and shows me my team's calendars (based on their outlook calendar) so I can push out invites with all necessary information. Some of the downside are when reviewing a candidate the resume does not always display properly, however I can download a copy. It also could use a better search function for the candidate database to identify proper talent. Also, when we move candidates between jobs, not all of their information flows through requiring additional manual intervention.

We use SmartRecruiters as a full applicant tracking system, integrated with PhenomPeople on our front-end careers page. We use it to obtain job hire approvals and post job ads to our careers page and other integrated job boards such as TradeMe, LinkedIn and Seek. We also track external and internal applications, process applications through the hiring process (reviewing screening questions and CVs, phone screening, interviewing, submitting applicant comments and ratings, declining applications, and submitting job offers). Our SmartRecruiters is also integrated with DocuSign, allowing us to generate offer details inside SmartRecruiters, which can then flow through to DocuSign to generate contract paperwork. We utilise back-end reporting as well to track our hire and turnover statistics.

Useful for dealing with small and bulk applications, and when you need to post the same types of roles multiple times/regularly. It is more useful when integrated with other systems, e.g. a front-end careers site and a document signing system, to maximise the end-to-end usage.

I was facing various issues at my organization regarding recruitment, not able to centralize data of my team, my recruiters in one place. Then I switch to SmartRecruiters. It had made my life so easy and simple that now I can manage my team data in one place. I can get a report of my single individual member just in a click away. I also like about smart recruiters that it helps in managing and show data in a single view dashboard. It also helps recruiters to see their data in just one screen along with a pool of potential candidates in an organized manner.

It is being well suited to my organization where previously I was facing major issues regarding data centralization, reports of individuals, recruitment issues. Now with SmartRecruiters, all my problems got vanish away. Also, another thing that got solved is that resumes are saved as a backup in case needed. We can also update candidates about their job status through this portal as previously it was very hectic to tell candidates manually. Now in just one click, it will be updated to candidates.

We use SmartRecruiters company-wide. It is used by our recruitment team and hiring managers. We recently transitioned from another ATS with the hopes of better streamlining our hiring process. This includes posting jobs, booking interviews, candidate communication, etc.

It has the potential to be a good ATS but it needs some tweaking in order to handle large volume recruitment and make the process much smoother instead of adding more steps.

We use SmartRecruiters company wide for internal and external hires. It allows all communication and documentation to be tracked in a single place, which makes reporting and processing simpler. Having a single platform with workflows and templates also assures consistency and quality control, not to mention enforcement of legal and compliance matters.
  • Organization - SmartRecruiters is not so busy that I cannot easily tell what I am looking at. Everything is easy to navigate and follow intuitively.
  • Workflow - SmartRecruiters allows me to set up logical connections to automate subsequent fields in job creation. This aids in accuracy of job creation to match our payroll system, plus makes the process of creating a new requisition/ad faster.
  • Approvals - Approvals of job requisitions and offers could not be simpler.
  • Customization - There is very little that cannot be customized and/or branded to fit my organization's needs, including connecting to my other business platforms.
  • Reporting - There are several fields that are not easily reported on in SmartRecruiters. They have made some significant improvements, but there are still inaccessible fields in the reporting tool that would help me avoid using another service to build my reports.
  • Posting Partners - SmartRecruiters has made recent changes in their contracts with high visibility platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed which may not fit with what I am trying to do or what I have done in the past.
  • Offer Templates - Creating a good looking offer template that goes to the recipient exactly the way it looks when I built it is nearly impossible. The import mechanism only accepts .doc (but really wants a .doc created in LibreOffice if you want spacing and paragraphing to work perfectly). In short, there is a lot of guessing to getting offer letters just right, unless you want a plain text offer letter (and who does?).
I think any business can benefit from SmartRecruiters, but especially businesses of 300 or more employees. Smaller independent businesses might find SmartRecruiters a little too feature rich, especially if there is only one recruiter or only one or two hiring locations. I believe SmartRecruiters works very well for enterprise level companies with 5000+ employees. This is a good system and it does what it is supposed to do. Reliability is high. Service and response is reasonably fast.

SmartRecruiters is used organization-wide for recruitment for a wide range of types of contracts. It is used by recruiters in the HR department, but also by the recruiting managers in the corresponding business unit. It is a central place where everyone can share and access information about job candidates within the organization.
  • It has a nice modern design.
  • Most of the application is rather user-friendly.
  • It provides links to both documentation as well as communication with the candidate.
  • Speed. The cloud solution has a tendency to be solved.
  • Exporting of data. In some cases, it would be nice to consult data offline, which currently is not possible to do.
  • Random sorting of data. Different people that connect have the candidates sorted in different orders.
SmartRecruiters is a modern and nice looking tool that overall is very good, but during frequent or intense usage it feels sluggish, and generates some frustration among users. For sporadic checking of candidates and CVs it is very well suited, but as the main working tool for an HR professional throughout a whole day, it is simply too slow, and the hosted cloud solution is simply not quick enough.

SmartRecruiters is our primary talent acquisition (TA) platform used by HR and all the hiring managers across sales and services within the company. It allows for a transparent and organized recruitment feed between TA and the hiring managers. It stores all candidate information and notes from those involved in the screening and interview process.
  • It provides better viability and stronger collaboration efforts between TA and hiring managers.
  • One-stop tool for all things recruiting.
  • Keeps historical data.
  • There are a couple of different ways you can view candidate profiles, and depending on the route you chose to access, certain info varies. Would be nice to simplify this.
  • Intelligence to make recommendations on other company positions per candidate submittal.
SmartRecruiters a great platform to keep TA and hiring managers connected and storing all candidate information historically. It helped keep everyone in the loop with minimal effort. I think it needs to have the ability for multiple ratings to be provided from different interviewers. I only saw one, yet I had three people interviewing who may all have a different rating they wish to give. The notes section does help with this though.

We currently use SmartRecruiters as aggregate sourcing for new-hire candidates that cover all of our territories in FL, NY, CT, NJ, PA, TN, VA, MI, DC, and MD.
  • The user-facing interface is intuitive and extraordinarily navigable.
  • It has a robust scope of partnerships with other platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn, which broadens the pool of candidates to whom we have access.
  • Front-end customization of response templates and dispositions.
  • Batch processing of candidates would be nice. When we have over 1,000 candidates to review-- a quarter of which we can summarily dismiss due the candidates' physical location being dozens, if not hundreds of miles from our nearest territory (residing within the territory is the expectation)-- it would be beneficial and a more efficient process to have the ability to check a box next to each candidate and click on "Reject," rather than rejecting every one of them individually.
SmartRecruiters is well suited to accomplish what it is intended to accomplish: maximize exposure of our job posting across multiple platforms, providing a much broader talent base from which we may choose the most qualified candidate for our open positions.

The entire organization uses SmartRecruiters to track the entire recruiting process. It addresses the problem of organizing the candidate review, interview, and offer process. It allows team members across the globe easy access to review and share reviews of candidates along the way. It also supports recruiters in providing easily accessible review details.

I use SmartRecruiter as a freelancer to hire candidates for a specific job I want done. At some point I get hired by companies to run this software and help them in hiring applicants and managing users too. The way it integrates with Google Calendar is amazing as it gives us notifications on when the set interview is available and on which day for preparations on both the candidates and the hiring managers.

Our small entrepreneurial enterprise used SmartRecruiters for all HR Recruiting work throughout the organization. The software suite and support team helped us tremendously by helping us to cut costs in recruiting new FTE, as well as form a buttoned-up recruiting process. In about two months time, I was able single-handedly post three job postings, scour through literally hundreds of legitimate applicants, filter out candidates that were not a match while at the same time sending out friendly notifications communicating clearly each candidate status, and utilize a single centralized dashboard for each interview and hiring process. We used all this to collaborate as a hiring time - I went on to involve 3-4 of my non-management team members to help review each top-rated candidate in a clean, consistent, collaborative manner. A bonus value-add was having everything at one glance, with comprehensive reporting abilities for our senior management and company partners. Hands down, one of the most flexible, collaborative recruiting tools with amazing buttoned-up processes.

  • SmartRecruiters could easily use some lower tier pricing packages - particularly for super small companies with smaller budgets who may be unable to keep up one year agreements. Option to downgrade during time of need, or during lull in hiring, should be easy - would help retain SmartRecruiters clients while clients maintain full access to their recruiting software systems.
  • SmartRecruiters staff could be more helpful when the business has a need to downgrade levels (from $300/mo) to save in monthly expenditures, in order to keep clients. Or, at least offer an option to downgrade for little/no fee simply to have the business data retention factor - enabling for easy, quick upgrades for full access at later date (as in, seasonal businesses who hire once or twice per year).
The cash saved in using a truly comprehensive software suite such as SmartRecruiters is, hands down, a no-brainer, if a business is hiring or re-hiring numerous staff each year. The alternative often is paying a recruiting firm several thousand dollars per head for finders' fees, or a recruiting staffing firm in overage fees for contract staff adds.

It is used across the entire organization as a simple platform for candidate life-cycle management when tracking prospective candidates for open positions. Really simply it fills that need without any burdensome overhead for implementation and integration with the rest of the HR suite of tools currently used.

  • Integration with Workday to transfer user content into the HR system
Great for tracking candidates in the hiring life cycle; really in my opinion [it] shouldn't be used for other use cases which would be better suited for other tools.

We employ SmartRecruiters to distribute open requisitions to job aggregates for sourcing and to post to our website. We also use the applicant tracking features to screen candidates, to schedule interviews, rate and review candidates and to notify candidates of hiring decisions. The message templates are customizable and easy to use and a real time saver! We also use the hiring analytics tools to analyze past hiring trends and costs and to shape our future hiring decisions, which ultimately affect the direction and nature of future business growth - after all a business is its people! Best thing about SmartRecruiters is the support team!
  • The Support Team is super responsive and quick to resolve issues accurately the first time! They are also super friendly, which goes a long way!
  • SmartRecruiters allows users to customize the workflow based on their particular needs.
  • The platform in general is very user friendly and compared to other ATS it is very intuitive and easy to train others on.
  • The mobile app is great!
  • As an agency, we would love to see SmartRecruiters roll out nationwide job listings that can push to aggregates in multiple locations!
  • We would also like to see the platform tie into local and state college jobs boards including an integration with HandShake!
SmartRecruiters is suited toward filling single job openings, but is less user friendly when you would like to fill multiple positions in varying locations with one job posting.

We use it in the recruiting department to manage external applicants. We have many users who work remotely and log in via smartphone, tablet, laptop, and desktop and needed a platform that can be used across multiple verticals. This works flawlessly and interchangeably on a MAC, a PC, or a smartphone.
  • Easy to use
  • Fast
  • Easy to sponsor an ad on multiple platforms
  • Even my "non-tech savvy" employees can navigate this easily
  • Very quick to navigate
  • Logical approach to a recruiting tool
  • Customer service is great but more "glitches" than I'd like
  • No ability to text candidates, emails are clunky
  • It's expensive compared to other similar platforms (paid version)
  • Not as easy to customize
  • Limited reporting features
Well suited for a basic application for a medium sized business where everything is funneled through 1 or 2 users. It would be a little clunky for a very small business (less than 75 employees) as you wouldn't use it regularly enough to remember some of the operating quirks. There are very few platforms specifically for the mid sized business market and this one definitely delivers the needs of that niche.

SmartRecruiters is our go-to hiring platform at Sculpt. We're a small shop, so lots of people have their hands in HR. I need administrative control of our software, but want others to collaborate. SR made that easy. We also needed a product that would streamline the chaotic process of recruiting, vetting and evaluating potential candidates, and nothing has come close to SmartRecruiters. We don't hire frequently, but when we do, it has to be smart.
  • Creating and seamlessly syndicating job postings across the right places on the web
  • Managing a database of job candidates in an easy-to-navigate interface
  • Collaborating with our team throughout the entire selection process
  • Communicating with candidates through the hiring process
  • Sorting candidates by various attributes and ratings
  • We never nail a job description the first time. A more clear and seamless edit function would ensure we can make changes on the fly without walking through the entire publishing process again
  • Making blind hiring easier would be helpful
  • Candidates often miss our request to upload additional documents because the only place to add it is buried in the main description
  • Would be nice to upload or embed better media from more sources
  • Integration with other job networks means the formatting looks a little funky when uploaded
Some recruiters may require additional form fields, SR leaves things pretty open. I was perfectly happy with that. SR's SmartStart product is perfect for a small company hiring a few people a year.
