BeyondTrust offers deployment options that can fit a company’s business needs. The vendor says their on-premises physical and virtual appliances have helped enterprises satisfy regulatory requirements for years. Additionally, the vendor says the unique segmentation capabilities of their cloud deployment gives users cloud without compromise.

With BeyondTrust, users can support all of their systems over the web, even if they are behind firewalls they don't control. BeyondTrust Remote Support (also known as Bomgar) stacks up excellently amongst other remote support tools because it is very robust and backed by a trusted vendor that offers a wide variety of other products. This means the possibility of a wide range of cross integrations. They also hold SOC and many other audit and compliance certificates which gives customers extra confidence.

When we used Webex our customers often had issues because staff in medical offices don't always have easy access to browse the internet. We could send them an invitation but we would often go round and round with them. With BeyondTrust Remote [Support (Legacy)] we don't have that problem as it allows easy access for these customers.

Bomgar gives us the ability to extend our technical support out to users who are not on campus. This comes in handy when employees have issues with passwords or registration and they need a little assistance. And [BeyondTrust Remote Support (Legacy)] works across many platforms and devices. We have also used GoToAssist in the past and Log Me In, but this is the best

I also use Chrome Remote Desktop to connect to unattended digital signage, but that requires installing an agent on each target machine. Windows Remote Desktop works in some cases, but you cannot connect to a user's active desktop. Bomgar is the perfect support tool as it allows you to see exactly what your user is seeing without pre-installing an agent. You can chat with the user while you help them and the chat will pop up on top of their other windows if it is below other windows. You are able to see all of the user's monitors either one at a time or all of them at once. It's a great tool!

BeyondTrust Remote Support is one of the most feature rich remote support systems on the market. It is fast and efficient. It allows our large base of technicians to share our license pool so that we don't have to license every technician individually. I love the ability to create custom scripts that can be run from a menu during any remote session, speeding up mundane, repetitive tasks.

I think Bomgar is slightly less user-friendly than LogMeIn from the technician side. There are a bunch of icons on the Bomgar console but there is very little explanation of what they do. LogMeIn is a bit more user-friendly and often offers a smoother connection process with the user.

Ease of use, we are able to use Bomgar hand in hand with Ghost Solutions Suite to remotely access any computer that has the client on it. All the user has to do is click allow, and the session will be connected with the rep from IT effortlessly, and within less than 5 seconds.

We used a VNC product for several years because it was free and we couldn't talk management into purchasing a product. Bomgar offers so much more for our support personnel. We evaluated TeamViewer, which I use for personnel use, along with Bomgar and would have been a product we would have purchased had Bomgar not won out.

When asked to report on how many remote sessions have I done I now can give that information accurately. I use the exit surveys for improvement of service and tracking. I have tried the major players out there and Bomgar stood out above the rest.

Hands down, Bomgar out performs the previous remote applications I have used. It also trumps them in features and options. It is far more capable when it comes to escalation permissions and passing over sessions to other people or even getting others involved. And the ease of use is like no other I have seen.

One thing I like about Dameware is that you have access to a remote command prompt and that has been very handy at times. But Dameware is limited to on the network support, last time I used it. Bomgar can handle multiple platforms and operating systems. I cant email an invite from Dameware for remote support over the internet.
