Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite has a more professional feel, an easier way of organizing and a simpler look. Miro, while very similar, has more aggressive color schemes and a more toy like UI that does not inspire as much confidence in our stakeholders.

I did not select Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. That decision was taken by others in the organization. Given a choice, I am not sure I would have selected Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. Miro was already established and, with a local client, was a better user experience in many ways.

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite does better with its Visio-like diagraming ability.

Much better, it doesn't get the steps in lines even a tenth as much as Visio, can use custom shapes as actual shapes rather than images, and aligns much easier. Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is easily the best and I have tried about 4-5 programs over the last 5 years.

Miro had an advantage with the unlimited canvas until Lucidchart recently added that feature. Lucidchart seems to be better designed for creating drawings, incredibly technical or software architectural diagrams. Miro appears to be more designed for non-technical folks as a digital whiteboard for collaboration. Performance-wise, Lucidchart works much better. Miro tends to get slow once the board starts getting busy with many items.

The choice to go with Lucidspark was a company decision.

draw.io is a free tool which has very limited functionality. Some of the advanced features like AI based generation and templates are not available in other applications. Also, I’ve used bot framework for different purposes. If customer wants to collaborate and they don’t have Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite I tend to build the same in draw.io

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite was simply better, it had all the functionalities of Miro but with the increased performance.

Lucid is easier and more intuitive.

We use Miro within our organization as well. Miro is used more for PI planning, while Lucid is focused on process and flows.

I have used Miro, but we use them for different things. There's not much I can compare as we use them only for what each one of them is strong, but if I had to compare, Miro doesn't have the power to deal with database diagrams like Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite Lucidchart as Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite Lucidchart's strengths is not the creation of Org charts.

Figma is a little more robust but can turn new users off by looking too complicated.

The interface of Lucidchart is a clear winner versus other platforms - the rest are very intimidating and very cluttered. One factor as well is that by using Lucidchart any changes are saved automatically in the cloud hence eliminating manual saving and sharing to people easily regardless of departments that they're in.

I like Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite more than both of those for the ease of use and collaboration. Miro is similar with collaboration but didn't find as easy to use and Visio is similar to use but a bit harder to collaborate with.

Lucidchart is well beyond Microsoft Visio and is constantly improving. Visio is pretty much stagnant and hasn't been improved for several years, Lucid is constantly adding new functionality like AI powered functions and tools. We have no reason to pay for Visio licenses when Lucid can provide so much more for less.

SmartDraw's templates appeared to offer more selection and were slightly better. They offer desktop apps for Mac and Windows (if that's your thing). However, we feel that Lucidchart has better sharing and collaboration tools and we opted to go with this software over SmartDraw in the end. We are happy with our decision as it does everything we were hoping for.

Lucidchart stands out among diagramming tools due to its intuitive interface, extensive template library, and robust real-time collaboration features. While other tools like Microsoft Visio, draw.io, Creately, and Gliffy offer powerful features, Lucidchart's cloud-based accessibility, ease of use, and integration options align better with our organization's need for agility and seamless teamwork, making it our top choice.

Visio is easier to use, save and share. Also print and to convert to PDF for training manuals.

We used both solutions before deciding to use LucidChart. Creately works really great and is an excellent option, but their pricing was so outside of our requirements that it did not make sense to continue with our demo. Also, their salespeople did not follow up with us, they were difficult to reach and find, and they did not send out quotes.
draw.io is free and works great for what it is, but it did not offer any options to collaborate between people and users, and did not allow us to make the changes that we needed (massive changes to charts) Also, since it is an XML file, it is missing a lot of formatting and configuration options for each chart

Smoother interface and diagrams look great. Easy to draw saves time so better than above tools.
