Reviews
(1-25 of 104)Best marketing automation platform
- Lead Nurturing
- Automation through Program Canvas
- Lead Scoring
- Integration with native apps
- Custom Data Object Management
- Real time based email triggers
- Customer Support is very bad
- Initial setup is quite complex
Powerful marketing automation tool.
- We are managing marketing via emails using it and hence I can claim that its email marketing is transcendent.
- We can interpret and analyze data as well.
- The insight it provides and analytics are quite helpful for us.
- The level of Flexibility.
- Mobile access.
- Sometimes it starts working automatically and installs the data which is incorrect and I really need the Oracle team to get it fixed.
- It hasn’t provided any update for long.
- Not a user-friendly marketing automation tool.
A highly intuitive and efficient tool for marketing.
- Automated email responses provide supports in creating a better relationship with the clients.
- The way it allows the tracking of online behavior is extensive.
- It is amazing in handling the bulk of data and records as well.
- It facilitates us with the graphical representation of the performance of our campaign which helps in better understanding.
- Reports need to be more detailed and equipped with all the nitty-gritty detail in a precise manner.
- The cost is quite outrageous and I am not satisfied with such a high price as it is the highest among all its competitors.
- A complicated tool that demands brainstorming.
Using Eloqua for large-scale campaigns
- Real-time performance measurement
- Cross-channel marketing
- Critical campaign can be handled smoothly
- The price is expensive as compared to other options
- Long implementation process
- The sync time between the platform and the CRM is slow at times
- Campaign management is very easy and intuitive to send out email campaigns and build workflows.
- Support for multi-channel campaigns not limited to emails - works well as a CDP that provides a 360 view of a prospect/customer.
- Good integration with CRM (Salesforce).
- Implementation and roll-out wasn't very easy and had some hiccups
- Lead scoring is not as intuitive as other similar programs
- Onboarding and training lacked resources
1) Providing a 360 view of the customer/prospect
2) Accepts 1st and 3rd party data to build prospect profiles
3) Easily integrates with most major SaaS MarTech products
Some scenarios where less so are:
1) Automating Ad Campaigns wasn't very easy to manage.
2) ABM campaigns faced challenges due to how the interface is set up.
Oracle isn’t just for ERP!
- Lead scoring
- Email engagement
- Not as user friendly
Big marketing automation software
- Campaign management is very easy and intuitive to send out email campaigns
- Possibility of working with various channels
- Synchronization with CRM; new contacts are added automatically
- Lead scoring could be more robust
- Setting up the platform is not easy
- Long implementation process
Oracle Marketing Cloud is best suited for medium, large, and enterprise companies.
Eloqua Rocks!
- Oracle Eloqua has powerful functions and features that allow our campaign designers to implement the campaign flows the way we need to achieve our complex business processes.
- Oracle Eloqua provides lots of integration points with other B2B products, such as CVENT, Linkedin, ON24, Salesforce, etc. Once the integrations are connected, the data flows directly and systematically between multiple systems. It eliminates a lot of manual process and human errors.
- Oracle Eloqua also provides rich reporting capabilities for marketers to view their campaign performance.
- Some people found it hard to get started using the tool as it does take a bit of training to get used to.
- It's not cheap.
- Some people don't like the user interface.
A great tool for marketers
- It has an amazing A/B testing mechanism, which helps to test different assets
- It provides features such as dynamic content and progressive profiling for personalization
- Easy creation of landing pages and web forms
- The platform can be a bit confusing; the same is true of the process for setting up segments
- The platform is expensive as compared to similar products that offer similar features
- Customization is difficult after a process has been automatically scheduled
Boost your marketing potential with Oracle CX Marketing
- Built-in integration between Eloqua and SalesForce
- Tableau for reporting
- Integration with sales cloud or other CRM systems is a great feature
- Excellent lead scoring abilities. You can create custom models using weight-ages
- Simple and easy-to-learn user experience to build campaigns, launch them, and monitor them
- Reporting and dashboarding capabilities can improved; now they are shallow and difficult to use
- Sometimes we face hurdles in using email designer
- Data export capabilities are limited; not everything can be exported
- APIs to export data REST mechanism are confusing
Eloqua--still a great go-to CRM
- WYSIWYG editor--Most of my clients do not feel comfortable working with any HTML, and this tool made it super easy for these types of users. They always pick it up really quickly and don't need much help with it.
- Campaign Tracker--As a data nerd, I love the fact that there are so many different metrics that can be analyzed when running your campaigns. They make it very clear how areas of your marketing are performing, which ultimately makes it easier for people to understand what they are doing right and wrong.
- Overall Community--You'll have an easy time getting up to speed if you're a new user. And the community is very receptive to folks who need help.
- Best for enterprises, but I always find many SMBs that ask me about using their tool, but the hard truth is it would be too robust for their needs
- They need to improve the way the tool looks. I'm a big HubSpot user and the difference in UI is night and day. It's too clunky is some areas.
Prior to Eloqua, we also did not have a mechanism that allowed us to score and prioritize leads for follow-up, which we were able to do after implementation to a good deal of success.
- Execution of email campaigns.
- Lead management and scoring.
- Landing page management.
- Customizable levels of access to the platform.
- Security.
- Template management.
- Unintuitive interface.
- Requires a good level of technical knowledge to leverage fully.
- 3rd party implementations.
- Expensive.
- Lengthy onboarding process.
Eloqua: getting it done
- Automate event registration process
- Utilize third party connectors like ReadyTalk for the complete webinar process
- Dig into our prospects with offers and track the entire process of lead conversion
- User friendly interface, which can be easily picked up without deep technological skills.
- Many features that are powerful for lead nurturing like dynamic content, custom object, segmentation
- CRM integration is seamless, which is very important to our organization. This integration mapping is also easy to audit.
- Tracking on user activities such modifications to programs and campaigns
- Bulk-creation in dynamic content setup
- More date tools that can be used for Segments
- What training programs are available to get new users up to speed?
- How emergency situations are handled like system crashed?
- How feature roadmap is introduced, tested and implemented?
- How responsive the vendor is responding to service/issue request, as well as the wish-list?
- Are the basic features of marketing automation exist: email, landing page, form, program, segmentation, and integration?
Pricey, but fulfills a specific niche.
- Unrivaled integration with WeChat. Many of our customers are based in China, so built-in integration with WeChat has really helped us.
- Abundance of integrations. Based on past experience, Oracle Eloqua offers more integrations than any other marketing automation software.
- HyperSite Builder is simple and easy to use, allowing us to create customizable sites based on each customer.
- Harsh pricing and contract. Oracle Eloqua isn't accessible to businesses of all sizes, and the long-term contract requirement makes Oracle Eloqua a burden on the company's budget.
- Lack of integrations with Google Adwords. We have yet to see this feature be added to Eloqua.
- Implementation takes a long time. Due to the number of features that are available, it took 4-5 months for us to fully integrate Eloqua into our workflow.
Helpful for Business!
- Aggregating data.
- Creating weekly reports.
- Allowing plenty of fields to be filled out for MQL calculation purposes.
- Less technical issues with email deliveries.
- Sometimes the weekly reports don't seem to align with the daily ones.
- I didn't receive contact information for several leads that told us they previously submitted our form.
Great Marketing Automation Product!
- Lead Management
- Email Marketing
- Lead Scoring
- Reporting
- Better UI for list builds
Eloqua offers a wide range of tools, integrations, and capabilities
- Detailed segmentation using contact attributes, account attributes, or custom data object attributes.
- High level of integration with other systems via apps or custom-built integrations using the Eloqua API.
- Detailed contact scoring based on activities, fit, custom objects, or account info.
- Multiple CRM integrations - Eloqua works VERY will with singular integrations with a CRM system, but has trouble when integrating with multiple CRM systems simultaneously.
- Making social sign-on and progressive profiling available using Eloqua forms outside of Eloqua landing pages, so we can get those features on Eloqua forms that we put on company pages built outside of Eloqua.
- Easy contact transfers between Eloqua instances. This would greatly improve the usability when we need to have contacts transfer instances for legal reasons (separating out our GDPR contacts to our EU instance for example) or for transferring contacts from production to the sandbox environment for testing purposes.
Great Marketing Platform !
- Email Marketing
- Lead Automation
- Ok2Contact Criteria
- There is a room for improvement for mobile marketing.
- Interface is not very great or user-friendly. It's not intuitive and some of the tags on the website are misleading.
- Some part of automation requires you to do the same steps and processes again and again which is cumbersome.
- Visual campaign canvas that allows you to map out your marketing campaigns and automation, ensuring there aren't any gaps.
- Easy-to-use, responsive WYSIWYG email, form, and landing page editors.
- Robust Cloud Marketplace with lots of apps that make setting integrations up quick and easy.
- The clunky reporting user interface has a steep learning curve.
- Lack of customization for email design systems: unable to create and save your own drag and drop WYSIWYG modules.
Eloqua: going downhill but could be worse
- Provides a canvas to create multi-step campaigns.
- Allows for robust segmentation based on characteristics, behavior, demographics.
- Allows for customized workflows to process and route marketing contacts, both within the Eloqua platform and to external systems.
- The CRM/Salesforce integration is very clunky to use. There’s a new app that was recently released to help alleviate this well-known pain point.
- Reporting. Eloqua was in an unstable analytics platform with consistent performance issues for several years, but the transition to a reporting platform hosted by Oracle Business Intelligence has been disastrous, as the new platform is very user unfriendly and still struggles to reach parity with the old version.
- Release management. Each release seems to take one step forward and two steps back as new functionality frequently breaks existing functionality, and communication about newly introduced issues that impact customer operations are slow and inaccurate.
Oracle Eloqua Review
- CRM integration and customized automated processes like sending working nurses an automated reminder each week to submit their time sheets (this is unique because our nurses in "working status" changes every single week, so it's a dynamic integrated campaign)
- Notifies us when leads from our website do not successfully go into our CRM
- Automates several of the manual recruiting follow up and paper work processes
- Would like to be able to put a form or video content into the body of an email
- Would like to integrate with our SMS platform
- Would like to view digital body language on a segment level view, rather than on the individual profile
Eloqua is less appropriate when trying to create large scale forms and surveys, as it does not include benefits like skip logic.
One of the best MAP in business (with a few drawbacks)
- Custom Data Objects: Eloqua CDOs are one of the key factors that distinguishes it from other MAPs. The ability to store and process data in custom tables, provides a ton of flexibility to the users.
- Reporting and Insights: Eloqua reporting and analytics engine is pretty strong and powerful, which crunches data and provide all types of custom reports quickly and with relative ease.
- Ability to handle large databases: One of the main reasons why Eloqua is looked upon as "Enterprise" grade marketing automation solution is because of its ability to handle and process large databases i.e. 5M+ records.
- DB Management: Eloqua should look into providing more flexibility and user friendliness around DB management tasks i.e. field and assets deletion etc. currently any such tasks requires tremendous time and resources to be performed due to complications related to "dependencies".
- User Friendliness around "Testing": Eloqua should provide some native functionalities for testing different assets i.e. Emails and Landing Pages on various platforms (different browsers, email clients etc.).
- Assets 'back-up' functionality during maintenance hours: There are many business that build their web landing pages entirely on Eloqua. When Eloqua goes down and is not available during maintenance hours, these businesses suffers tremendous loss of opportunity due to unavailability of their assets. Eloqua folks should think and plan around provisioning a 'back-up' mechanism to support such activities without making their customers suffer.

Eloqua Review
- Database segmentation is streamlined and easy to understand.
- Lead scoring and setup is helpful across multiple teams (marketing and sales) and able to segment into different business units/target audiences.
- Automation for our sales team provides real-time followup.
- The look and feel could be improved. I've used HubSpot in the past and it was more user-friendly with colors, inviting messaging, etc.
- More in-app instructions would be helpful. If I am a new user, I would appreciate tutorials or instructions in-app.
- More timely help. Without designated support, if issues are pressing I would appreciate quicker followup.
The truth about Oracle Eloqua
- Enterprise grade solution built for big companies who need a robust Marketing Automation Solution
- Excellent customer service that is able to solve complex issues with the clients and work with them to customize tools
- Global support community of users and experts who beginners can approach for questions and bring up to speed on
- Available tools and resources to self-direct and self-educate before going for a P2P consultation
- You need to be Eloqua certified in order to use their tools it's that complex
- Minimal customization for SMB if they have tailored needs. Big clients get all the attention
- Eloqua is built for enterprises, not so much for SMBs; I wish their tools could fit a broader spectrum of audiences and not just to the big guys
