Easy to implement and set up. Strong track record of success (arguably market leader), including validation through case studies, and through G2Crowd and TrustRadius reviews. The Zendesk integration is great -- users won't have to hop out of the app to access knowledgebase articles. A strong support and service team.

It's infinitely easier to tag features in Pendo than other tools - the designer makes feature tagging and guide creation really, really simple and fast.
Much easier to use, richer insight, visual and connects more with what needs to happen next.

Pendo.io: Analytics for Anyone
Pendo is much simpler than the competition:
- WalkMe seems to be very robust for guided walkthroughs, but the UI for both authors and visitors is clunky by comparison to Pendo.
- Google Analytics tracks anything and everything... but only if someone else has set it up properly. It's very difficult for someone without direct access to the code to start tracking anything, or to make sense of it once they do. Pendo is lightyears ahead in this regard.

I came into the department four years after product launch, and Pendo had been selected a couple of years before. I was not involved in the evaluation of any competitive products--just told that "this is what we use." So I have no basis for comparison. I will say however that I have never felt the need to look around for a "better alternative" because Pendo does everything I need it to do.

Stellar communication tool from a stellar team
- Heap
Heap is a tool used only for engagement analytics. It is quite robust and provides a flexible solution for collecting large sets of very granular user engagement data within our application. Definitions are easily created, definition rules are flexible and intuitive, and on-demand reporting is very fast. I use Heap to complement Pendo reporting data as I'm able to report on a more granular basis, and will continue to use it until Pendo is able to offer the same level of flexibility & granularity.

Pendo is much easier to use than Adobe Analytics. The interface is presented in a simplistic manner that can be quickly digested for any user to get started without having to rely on training or intensive tutorials.

We previously subscribed to Intercom for product announcements but went with Pendo.io because it also gives us robust product usage analytics and polls, and allows us more flexibility in posting targeted product announcements. We phased out Intercom after we purchased Pendo.io because they were duplicative.

I prefer Pendo strongly to all the above competitors. We came from WalkMe and it was a nightmare of a tool, slow, horrible analytics, no real SFDC integration, and an unintuitive guide builder. I found Pendo's analytics much easier to understand than Appcues and Totango isn't really a direct competitor but there is some overlap and we use them as well.

Pendo's level of analytics that they provide on how our customers are performing and what they're using within our platform is second to none. We use the guides a lot but we really get value out of being able to see how our customers are using our platform. We're now able to quantify our customer health scores with usage data, instead of it being a manual gut check.
