We have had a lot of issues with clients and subcontractors not wanting to utilize the software in the past but this is progressively getting better. Procore is becoming more common in the industry in Darwin. Those that have used the software have had positive feedback.

Procore has improved the communication of changes in costs and production across all levels of our company. The drawing feature updates everyone and allows the people on site to see real-time changes. The Prime contract change orders and subcontract change orders are linked and self populate for ease in producing those.

We have benefited from these capabilities in terms of communication between the parties. It is very convenient to manage the directory as much as the project requires, expanding the contacts without the need of incurring in additional costs. The cloud-based access is also useful for the site personnel who are able to collaborate with the office, design team, and consultants.

Yes, its been very convenient with sharing submittals and RFI's with owners, subcontractors, and the Design team. For specific examples, the concrete subcontractor needed to know where to place embeds before a concrete pour. We were able to email him a copy of the approved pre-pour drawings through Procore. From there, he could access the plans from his iPad on site.

Efficient and Effective!

We have absolutely benefited from Procore enabling collaboration between various Project stakeholders such as owners, GCs, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors. Being able to create a transmittal and directly send the transmittal and related documents all in one email has made us more efficient in sending important documents such as pay applications, various project reports, etc.

Also, being able to send submittals directly to the Engineer and have them review the submittal on Procore has streamlined our processes and makes getting responses much quicker. Also, we love hearing that our Engineers, Subs, and vendors are already familiar with Procore.

We had over 100 users. Collaboration was key and Procore did an OK job. New users were able to use the tool with minimal training. When Procore did not work well it caused a lot of issues.

Having an unlimited number of users allows us to have everyone involved in a workflow participate in Procore. I can invite a person, have them log in, test their permissions by seeing the right items, and then make any adjustments to their access in about 15 minutes. They can get right to the job at hand and submit pricing or a submittal immediately.
The workflow handoffs are great for knowing who to call to get any stuck process moving again. At the start of a project, one of our architects was "ball-in-court" for a number of items lagging behind. When I called, I found out that they were new to Procore and needed some one-on-one training. After about 5 to 10 minutes of Q&A, all the items were back on track. This is huge because spending 5 to 10 minutes right away keeps delays from escalating to days or weeks.

The ability to have anyone involved in a project added to Procore and given access to the project is very helpful. Understandably, outside parties are generally not as inclined to learn the program and change their work process, but it is helpful in granting access to the project information for anyone that is interested in it.

I do not have much experience with this. I do know that the freedom to set gradual permissions allowed us to create a system that gave our management team a comfort level with letting partners have access to some of our data.

We have had several occasions where a dispute with a subcontractor was settled on the spot as a result of being able to call up the subcontract agreement "on the fly". Getting RFI information to the appropriate station is another big plus. When all players are plugged in, there is very little room for conjecture, and a lot more truth.

We have a set of owners that we do on average two projects a year with. They can be very needy and it can be time-consuming when it comes to providing updates and answering questions. With Procore, we can upload photos daily, track our progress against the schedule, and produce daily reports; the owners can log in and review at their convenience. They like using Procore and it has freed up a measurable amount of time for our project manager.

While Procore's unlimited user licenses give us greater adoption by our stakeholders, we have had issues with Architects and subs refusing to use it. I've spent scores of hours training on Procore and still find its user interface cluttered and confusing. A stakeholder logging in for the first time has no motivation to adopt if they become frustrated within the first 15 minutes.

We as a company have been able to take advantage of the collaboration tools. They work extremely well for providing instant communication between our office and remote staff. We have also been able to include subcontractors with accounts in order to provide details and images to the ones working on certain projects.

Yes, we have benefited using Procore collaboratively. We have used Procore in a design-build application and is great to notify consultants subcontractors as well as owners representatives. It is great to have the mobile app to access documents in the field for all parties. The job we are finishing up for a University has multiple users and stakeholders, while they use a different system for document storage we have found it beneficial for notification purposes. We have great success with document distribution and collaboration with the design team as well.

We have not benefited from these capabilities because we only receive access to GC's versions of a project, and manage our own version of that project in separate instances of Procore...because there is no way to sync our version of the project with the GCs.
