We are using it to automate our email campaigns and for tracking our leads. The problem we have is not being able to report open and click rates because the data is not accurate. Now we have had to switch out strategy and find other ways around it.
  • It allows good ways for us to manage leads.
  • They should work on better ways to make automation easier with better triggers and filters.
It suits us well when we want to send a list down a certain action group or work flow.

We are a Marketing Agency and we first used it for ourselves (having moved from HubSpot) to test that it worked well and we'd be confident to add it to the Marketing Automation Platform solutions we'd recommend to our clients. Our clients often had highly manual, disjointed and often even random marketing processes that didn't join with their sales processes. Sharpspring allows us to help them not only have formalised processes (with transparency and visibility for users and management alike) but also the data to show what works and what needs changing. These have significant benefits across sales and profitability (also through reducing costs in managing the sales processes).
  • Pricing - when compared to other providers, like HubSpot, Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce (all of which have their own pros & cons) most of our SMB clients will pick SharSpring because of the value for money (features build-in -vs- cost).
  • Usability - Both the CRM and now Sales Process Automation is easy for our clients to use and can often mean ditching clunky systems they'd been using before.
  • Features - The marketing teams love the automation processes (customer profiling/lead score etc.) and new features like the integration with appointment booking 'out of the box' as well as the social listening and posting features, means that it is an extremely comprehensive platform at an economic cost.
  • I would like SMS functionality to be built in as well as email (I appreciate it's not as big in the USA where SharpSpring's biggest customer base is) but it's big here in the UK.
  • Although SharSpring has implemented visualization of MA processes, they are not always as intuitive as they might be (although the online help/videos do help).
  • If someone is moving from an existing platform (like HubSpot) it's not always easy to bring in all the data (often that's the 3rd party making it difficult!). So the help of 3rd parties who've been through this will help.
It's well suited:
  • To help you map out your marketing process.
  • Your sales processes.
  • Create and track marketing leads.
  • Prioritize and track those into sales prospects and eventual ROI.
  • For sales management to keep an eye on the relative performance of their sales team members.
It's less well suited:
  • If you have little or no technical ability (as setting up the landing pages and emails does require some technical capability).

SharpSpring is being used across the sales, marketing, and client success teams. In client success, we are leveraging the outbound engagement functions to engage with clients in notifying them of releases as well as the meeting scheduling tool. Our sales team uses the product to track new leads and nurture those that need more time to mature.
  • Lead scoring allows our sales team to identify how strong a lead is.
  • Meeting scheduler gives our client success team along with sales to get meetings scheduled more efficiently, especially using the team meeting function.
  • Lead tracking allows us to know when the person opens and reads an email, that way we can follow up when the time is right.
  • An end-user issue that could be resolved with effort on my part is taking advantage of any end-user training opportunities available.
  • When a new user is added automatically send end-user training documents to the new user.
The new Meeting Scheduler has reduced the effort required to get time with my clients. Instead of having to open a calendar on one screen and my email on another I am able to just include in my email to use the button below to schedule a mutually beneficial time. When performing new client meetings I am able to use team meetings to merge multiple calendars so any other relevant party can be represented in the available time.

We like having everything in one place. SharpSpring helped us to do this. I love how easy it is to use, and even better how easy it is for me to help others navigate it as well. My use is primarily creating e-news campaigns and it is easy to design, create work-flows, and get reports.

  • So far I do not have any cons. They have solved all the problems we hoped to solve by using their platform.
SharpSpring is great for e-news campaigns. One thing that could be improved is the linking of social media accounts. That is still a little clunky.

SharpSpring is being used in the Marketing Department. We use it to send emails to customers and prospects. SharpSpring has the capability to track open emails and clicks. We can send nicely designed emails for a multitude of reasons, then track who opens and give that info to sales. SharpSpring is a great tool to use!
  • Easy to design templates. We use the existing templates, then adjust them to our brand.
  • You have the ability to schedule an email to send days before you want it to. Set and forget!
  • It's easy to set up newsletters, event emails, etc... the look of the template is so easy to change.
  • When designing the email, for the pre-existing templates, it's very difficult to change something that they have already created. For example, if you want to change the color of a line, you cannot, as it's embedded in the code.
  • SharpSpring monitors content and sends lists extremely closely. For example, if after three times you send an email to someone and they don't open it, they will automatically unsubscribe that user for you. This can be frustrating because that contact is unsubscribed from all the emails you want to send them going forward... whether it be a newsletter or other.
  • The contact manager is a little confusing to use... you have to click around until you can find what you want or who you want.
SharpSpring is well suited for small or large corporations. I think it's better suited for B2C rather than B2B businesses. We are B2B, which makes it frustrating when they unsubscribe our confirmed contact who does not open a newsletter, but it's still important that they get our business communications about product updates, etc.

I use Sharpspring daily as our internal CRM. It helps me as an account executive to follow up on my client's payment status. Also, I used it with some of my clients in creating marketing automation strategies and campaigns, to nurture the different kind of leads they receive with the forms that we embed in their websites.
It is really easy to create different kinds of forms and landing pages that help us and our clients to create and follow up on databases. For some of my clients, it is helpful, as it is an easy way to follow on "opportunities", to know what kind of interactions they have with possible clients and to follow on additional purchases.

  • Easy to follow up on opportunities.
  • The dashboard gives an overview of the sales projection for the month.
  • I think it would be good to give some kind of priority to automation.
  • Improve smartphone notifications to make it easier to know when tasks are due.
SharpSpring is great for medium and big businesses due to its price. I think that it would be very well suited for eCommerce businesses, in which knowing sales information and how to promote repurchases through marketing automation is the best way to increase sales and the relationship with a customer base.

SharpSpring is currently being used across our entire organization. Marketing, sales and customer support all use SharpSpring to keep track of customer communications as well as tracking marketing efforts as well as sales. SharpSpring allows us to bring many different technologies into a single platform so we can now see the full life cycle of a customer, from click to the sale and beyond. By being able to track the results of our marketing efforts, we have been able to focus more on marketing efforts that are actually bringing in results and to stop wasting money on efforts that do not.
  • The UI is really nice and intuitive, everything is exactly where you would expect it to be. Even non-tech people are easily able to figure out how to use and implement the software.
  • Customer support is really good. In my experience, support tickets are always responded to within an hour and always helpful.
  • The feature set in relation to pricing is as good as you will find anywhere in the marketing automation industry. Sharpspring gives you some serious bang for your buck.
  • The email editor is drag and drop and easy to use, but still has bugs that need to be worked out.
  • Specific event-based automation are missing. An example is sending an email on a contacts birthday or anniversary, there is currently no way to do this in Shaprpsring
  • Email deliverability was a real issue for a while but I believe has been sorted out. Sharpspring had a hard-line approach to email sending which resulted in many emails being suppressed without cause., but have fixed the issues users where having
I would highly recommend SharpSpring to businesses large and small that want to move beyond basic email marketing and want to improve their marketing efficiency and customer communications. SharpSpring is a full-featured marketing automation platform that is within reach of most small businesses due to its cost and ease of use. It has features to satisfy both large and small businesses and can be customized for any industry. We have successfully implemented SharpSpring with small businesses that tried other marketing automation platforms in the past but left due to the costs and complexity of the platforms. Business owners are amazed at how easy SharpSpring is to use.

As a creative marketing services firm, we know that marketing automation is quickly becoming the center of any good marketing strategy. We've been able to trial and work with a few different systems, most notably HubSpot (the Gold Standard), and we selected SharpSpring primarily because they 1. didn't bully us into their system and 2. they work WITH agencies and don't compete with them and 3. they let agencies sell the system to their clients creating a new revenue stream and ensuring that the agency's clients continue to work with people they trust. Those three reasons alone were enough to make the decision.
  • SharpSpring is RAZOR FOCUSED on partnering with agencies, not competing against them for the same client. In this context, we experience top-notch support, quarterly town-halls, and lots of communication.
  • SharpSpring is terrific to work with in implementing the platform. They will work with you to help you pitch, and they will work with you to help you install.
  • While all marketing automation platforms are confusing (I'm looking at you, HubSpot!), SharpSpring is constantly refining its interface to become CLEARER and more intuitive. Sometimes these efforts backfire, but the relationship is so good, if enough feedback is received, changes are made. They listen carefully.
  • SharpSpring's email editor is NOT as good as HubSpot's. That said, it is constantly improving and is easier to use all the time.
  • Small things can be frustrating, such as labeling contacts, or some workflows. But this is offset by the company's willingness to listen and implement change from it's users.
  • Certain automations (such as pushed content via RSS feeds) are missing.
If you're an agency working with SMB's, SharpSpring is the way to go. If you're working with a major corporation, SharpSpring doesn't scale as well as you'd like. But for the majority of agencies, SharpSpring's focus on you is what is game changing. And instead of sales bullying you to sign up, they work hard to help you understand the value by asking you to compare platforms. How refreshing!

FairMarketing uses SharpSpring primarily as a CRM for managing new business development. We have SharpSpring forms on our website for each of our products/services. When a prospect fills out a form, they are imported as a new contact and added to an initial list with a trigger that sends an auto-response email and a link to schedule an appointment. Internally, we create an opportunity from that contact, assign the lead to a sales rep and place him/her in the "Discovery Call" stage of our customized pipeline. If the prospect doesn't set up an appointment to speak with us via the auto-response, our sales coordinator reaches out by phone to set up the discovery call appointment with the sales rep and updates notes, etc. in the CRM. They move it to stage 2 of the pipeline with the easy drag-n-drop interface. We use SharpSpring to move the lead through the entire pipeline until the business closes. Along the way, like after we've met in person to do a demo, we'll add the prospect to lists which have drip campaign emails that go out by email to keep us top-of-mind. The system is very easy to use. We love it.

Anything that can make this easier is welcome! SharpSpring does have a pretty extensive database for help and support, and some videos that can be accessed directly from the platform. But more would be nice!
I think that SharpSpring is very well suited for any business looking to manage its customer data internally. It is great for email marketing and a perfect solution for managing new business development. We even use it for our monthly newsletters. SharpSpring is a great choice! It may not be as feature-rich as Salesforce, but it is a fraction of the cost and does everything we need it to do. Again, very intuitive and easy to learn and use! (unlike SalesForce).

SharpSpring is the perfect combination of CRM, Email Marketing, and Landing Page builder in one. It can be white-labeled for our clients to use as well as integrated with other marketing tools. We have been definitely enjoying SharpSpring since using it. For its price, it completely unbeatable!

The marketing automation and CRM is a fantastic tool for all these departments and helps to generate, nurture and close leads. All of the information collected during the marketing & sales process is being utilized by our customer service department, allowing us to deliver on what we promised. We use SharpSpring in our Marketing & Sales Department. It helps us organize our client flow, social media strategy and investigation for several purposes. SharpSpring is a very complete and useful tool, its versatiliy allows us to have an internal order and makes it easier to work as a team.

  • When you schedule social post sometimes the clock changes and you can't set the time.

Its a really good tool but somethimes the usabily and the spanish transition aren't the best. You can fix it by just changing a few words and improving the user experience. Please check your calendar, especially the clock.

We use SharpSpring across the whole organization to automate internal and outgoing tasks. Mainly we utilize lead tracking, lead scoring, and the forms. The daily lead tracking notification allows us to know how well we are capturing foot traffic. While the lead scoring helps us capitalize on those incoming potential leads. Additionally, we do utilize forms in conjunction with the tools above and visual workflows. SharpSpring essentially is a Swiss army knife that has allowed us to save time, save money, and compile our incoming data within a centralized location instead of all over the place.

Through the platforms transparency and its wide-range of automation tools, it is hard to describe a scenario where it is less inappropriate. Maybe if your business is one man operation it might not be viable. However, as mentioned before, if you can afford it then it could potentially help take your organization to the next level.

SharpSpring allows me to do unlimited testing and very quickly assess the results of my marketing efforts in multiple ways. I cannot stress "multiple ways" enough. For instance, if you're using MailChimp you get to assess your results from an email campaign you're only getting 10% of the data you need to make decisions on how to increase the effectiveness of that campaign. SharpSpring gives you an entire ecosphere of data to help you drive your campaign in a more effective way. It's like the science station on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise. This is only one facet of how we use this system.

Perhaps the most effective use of SS is in client nurturing. Most of the companies are focused on bringing in more customers. However, that's not the most effective use of their marketing efforts. Your current customers are always a much easier sell. SharpSpring allows us to be in a constant state of nurturing clients and easing them back through the sales funnel. By providing a system of client scoring, we always know who is most interested and most ready to buy.

ALL of your efforts register on your dashboard and you can evaluate them comprehensively. We weren't a super-analytics driven agency before SS but the platform has allowed us to drive our efforts in a much more focused direction.

There are a whole host of other benefits but I don't have the time to cover them all in this short review. However, I don't want to close this out without commenting on their outstanding customer service. They are always highly motivated to help me solve my problems and answer questions I have about their system. I can always schedule more live training for myself at no additional cost. They really are a terrific company with an outstanding product.

I'd urge you to visit SharpSpring, get a demo and see the process for yourself.

  • SharpSpring offers outstanding tools for marketing automation. We researched a lot of platforms ranging from free to $1000s before going with SharpSpring. They have just the right amount of features that makes it the most useful for all of our clients, leaving off the bells and whistles that would inflate the price.
  • The dashboard gives you a comprehensive look at everything you’re running. Moving around the system is super simple and they make it easy to jump to different areas when you’re building a sales program. I’d urge you to check out all the features on their website because there are too many to list, but I can say that what they have offered us is unbelievably comprehensive.
  • As mentioned previously, their customer service is outstanding!
  • I was not prepared for the steep learning curve that is required to take full advantage of this platform. I was a bit discouraged at first by everything there was to learn but I realized it’s part of working with such a comprehensive platform. It’s like moving to a new town and trying to figure out all the roads and highways. I don’t know if that’s really a “con” but it is something you must be aware of. You’re going to need to spend some serious time learning it but once you do, navigating the system easily becomes second nature.

We automate our sales workflows via email with drip campaigns rather than setting manual reminders to send out manual emails. If SharpSpring only did that, we'd more than make our money back for what we pay... but on top of that we get visitor tracking, customer lead scores, lead tracking, dynamic content depending on who's viewing, custom forms with custom fields, landing pages, social posting... the list just goes on and on. We even have our support guys using it to capture leads, and our human resources team uses it to capture performance reviews.
  • SharpSpring has allowed us to automate so many processes that we've recouped almost 20 hours of manual labor each week, plus we've eliminated human errors, leads don't slip through the cracks, and there's an uptick in email engagement.
  • We've had some issues with the email editor acting a little buggy, but the customer support team has always been able to straighten out any trouble with a simple phone call.
If you're technology-savvy and familiar with the digital marketing industry in general, the tool is intuitive and immensely helpful. If you're less technically-inclined, there are tons of resources to learn the material, just be ready for a learning curve. If you're completely new to digital marketing and marketing technology, it's still a great tool, but bringing in a specialist for strategy would be ideal.

We use the system for sales efforts and aarketing automatization. We have been using it for this year. The problems we have solved are: keeping all leads in one place from all sales people and being able to track when sales are happening and what to expect from each sales person. We also use it to create reports. We also solved the problem of mass email and content creation. Also we are able to see all communications done by our sales people with their contacts and are able to provide marketing material for them within the system.

We use SharpSpring internally for our own marketing efforts, including emails and landing pages. We also manage the software for our clients on the platform. We create the content and build the automation for our clients. It takes a lot of the manual work off our clients with our automated workflows and behavior based marketing capabilities.
  • Always improving the software - because they primarily work with agencies, they are always continuing to improve and launch new features to help the agencies in managing their own clients.
  • Adaptability - we started with them when they were still a start-up company. Throughout the years, we've seen them adapt to trends in the marketplace, new compliance and partner requests/needs. They have grown a lot over the years, but continue to do it strategically and in a way that the Partners are always first.
  • User friendly interface - when I provide demos or training, I'm continually told how user-friendly the platform is. It's very intuitive and easy to follow.
  • While they are continually launching new features, I sometimes feel that they need to improve their current features first.
  • Improve Support - They have a dedicated Partner Support team which is great, but when submitting cases, I often get different feedback from different people on the team. They aren't very consistent and I have to often push for them to answer the actual question.
SharpSpring is great for marketing agencies, especially those interested in offering marketing automation as one of their services as SharpSpring's business model is built specifically for that.

It's not going to be a good fit for a business who doesn't have those resources available. SharpSpring does not create content for you, or build the automation for you - you need to be able to do that on your own.

SharpSpring allows organizations to consolidate all their different applications and services into one platform. Being a marketer, not having to log in to Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Sharp, Instapages and other platforms saves me a lot of time because I have that access and capability through SharpSpring. This has been a game changer for me and my team as the platforms all speak to each other and can help leverage sales opportunities for our company. Apart from that, SharpSpring has been very transparent with their new features and have announced several features coming up in the near future! I welcome anything that will make my job easier and in turn make money for my organization.

Scheduling marketing materials to go out is easy. We use it for our marketing and automation and we only are currently using it inside Marketing. There are sales capabilities, but none of our clients are using any of those. For us, the most valuable use of the tool is a cost-effective way for us to manage CRMs and engage in marketing automation.
  • Email automations: Whether it's sending periodical newsletters and updates, or running automations based on user behavior, Sharpspring is a tool with a lot of capabilities.
  • High-functioning software at an affordable price.
  • Lead Scoring: SharpSpring does a fantastic job in providing us insights into ways to score, rank, and follow-up with leads.
  • More specific examples of Action Groups and Workflows and quick trigger ways to set them up.
  • They are constantly looking at adding new tools and our team sometimes has a hard time keeping up (a good thing!)
SharpSpring is well-suited for medium to small businesses with a desire to automate their marketing and do effective digital marketing. SharpSpring is for the company who wants to use the internet to not only acquire leads, but also nurture them, store them, and allow you to grow sales through them.

It is not the appropriate tool for the company looking to make a quick buck with marketing.
