In my business we use Sage Intacct for various different things. These mostly include general accounting, PR creation and payroll. We also take advantage of the integration features on offer which has helped us address efficiency problems within the business and streamline processes.

This has helped to eliminate human error from everyday accounting tasks.
• Sage Intacct's customisation features are quite useful since they enable us to customise it to meet our specific business requirements. Custom reports and account charts are something we can create to improve the overall experience.
• Payroll and CRM integration have really helped us as a business. This has increased the accuracy across the department and ensures we are all looking at up to date information.
• Perhaps most useful of them all is how simple Sage Intacct is to use, even for the new user. We have found it very intuitive to use and like the modern design that makes finding the necessary information straightforward.
• We have found that some users find it difficult to get started on Sage Intacct, as all the information can be a little overwhelming for the new user. A guided approach for new users or a simpler set up could assist with this.
• We have also found there can be quite a steep learning curve when it comes to learning the full functionality of Sage Intacct. This can be even harder if the new users aren't familiar with accounting software in general. I think having more support during on boarding would help with this.
• We have had some issues with setting up some of the integration features. Once set up they are fantastic and help a lot but getting through the initial set up can be challenging and take quite some time and effort.
I find that Sage Intacct has been very well suited to our business, this is due to our business being a large international business with employees worldwide. This means we needed our accounting software to be accessed and processed by people world wide. We needed software that could keep up with our demands as a business. It may be less suited to very small start ups that only have a handful of employees.

I use Sage to track all the monthly financial activities. So there is a lot of entries I am posting in Sage on a monthly basis.
The problems that Sage addresses for me is being able to easily correct an entry if it was posted wrong. The Edit feature saves a lot of time and allows the data to look cleaner rather having voided entries on the reports.
• Journal Entries
• Customizable Reports
• A/P
• Even though the reports are customizable I wish it was easier to pull P&L for any unique date range
• For Bank Reconciliation I like seeing the Debit and Credits all on page instead of having to use the filter buttons
• Also on Bank Reconciliation I like to see what had already been matched still on the same page as the unmatched ones but still have the option to filter them off of course but sometimes being able to see it all on one page instead of filtering back and forth
Well suited for many journal entries and being able to research entries are easy.

Not well suited for pulling P&L for unique dates without having to add in special reporting

We use Sage Intacct as the GL system for our restaurant. It does a good job handling our multi-entity setup. It also interfaces with the other tools we use, which is extremely helpful.
• Integrations
• Reclassifying Entries
• Reporting
• Navigation has a learning curve
• Inherent limitations of web browser
Sage is well-suited to a multi-entity environment. It is probably over-kill for a small business.

Personally, I utilize Sage for Accounts Payable. Coming from a non-finance background and working at a non-profit organization with many funding sources and departments, I have found Sage Intaact to have a moderate learning curve. Overall, the system offers many capabilities, but is not very intuitive. Small tweaks to the system based on customer feedback would make working within the software more efficient and useful.
• Ability to export data in various formats
• Sorting functions
• Custom views
• Detailed explanations when "errors" are generated in various environments such as uploads and invoice entry (currently the details provided don't seem to end up matching what the issue actually is and are not clear in terms of how to resolve/proceed)
• No ability to merge duplicate vendors
• Lacking option to "post" multiple bills in draft state, must do individually which takes a lot of time each week when we pay bills
Sage seems to be more appropriate for larger, corporate type companies that are focused on purchasing with limited funding sources and grant requirements. As a nonprofit user, the system is very finance oriented, which isn't as approachable when trying to outsource/train certain tasks to our various departments.

My experience with Sage Intacct has been amazing and awesome. I have used it for more than 2 years and I must disclose that it is an excellent and outstanding solution for accounting management. I like the ability to monitor transactions across all saving accounts in real-time.
• Sage Intacct makes financial budgeting and planning very effective.
• It allows us to see what we have sold, what is in store.
• It allows us to track our payments in one place.
• The application sometimes hangs especially on large data sets.
• I don't like how Sage Intacct's customer support team sometimes takes longer to respond.
• The application has a steep learning curve, getting started with it especially for new users can be a bit tedious.
Sage Intacct is one of the best and most reliable software for accounting. Since I started using it, it has brought a very huge impact on our company since it allows us to manage our business workflow with ease. It is convenient with resource management, time tracking, and project management.

Sage Intacct is used as our complete accounting software. We started using Intacct in Jan 2024 and i use it in my role as assistant accountant to assist with month end prep, bank reconciliation and accruals/prepayments. The duplicate and reverse journal entries is massively helpful as it cuts out a lot of the manual correction time that was required previously.
• Bank reconciliation with the automatic bank feeds
• Journal duplication
• Reversals
• ease to unallocate applied payments in accounts payable
• Handling of intercompany payments seems a little difficult
• Menu options being able to be set to a default e.g. 'Inception to date' has to be selected every time on a customer/supplier account
The ability to use adjustments/reversals means a lot of the tedious correction work that was done by manually journaling items is no longer required. The UI is fairly straightforward and similar to a lot of other accounting packages meaning the move from our previous provider has been simple as the menus are intuitive

We use Sage Intacct as our accounting platform and are developing the automatic reporting that gets emailed out on a regular basis to our project managers so they do not have to go in and run their required reports.
• Integrations with other platforms
• Ability to look at data in different ways
• The use of dimensions to create additional subsets
• Some of the custom reports and the ability to get to specific fields
• The complex computations with subtotals and sorting by dimensions could use some improvement
• The ease of the integrations with other platforms
It just depends on what the colleague was looking for and trying to accomplish.

We use Sage Intacct to pull data into our system and generate optimised cash flow mechanisms, allowing users to track inflows and outflows better and suggest ways to improve and forecast cash flow. We use Sage Intacct as part of our AP and AR automation where we help users to strategically plan and optimise working capital.
• The documentation is self explanatory most of the times, helps in understanding the entity better
• The help section is very useful when it's difficult to create any transaction
• The categorisation is clear and concise, I use AP,AR, GL mostly
• I also liked the UI part
• Sometimes its difficult to understand why a particular transaction is failing, and the error information may not be understandable. This could be done better
• documentation which has the error codes and relevant solutions to resolve that could be a feature i would suggest
Sage Intacct is well suited for most companies as it is beginner friendly and with right learning time usable by anyone. It is well suited for companies where there is a hierarchy of users as each user has a particular role and clearly defined permissions. The employee expenses allows the employee information to be tracked better and this is something crucial for most companies.

Sage Intacct has been exactly what we needed to expand our business capabilities. The ability to track fixed assets, increase automation, and track inventory across locations and warehouses is indispensable. Reporting and budgeting across different departments within the business has greatly improved our decision making. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has outgrown QuickBooks.

Sage Intacct does well with inventory control! We have inventory in over 100 locations that needs to be tracked and valued and any adjustments and transfers that we need to make are very easy to initiate within the Inventory Control module. Reporting on inventory has been very helpful for me to give to other managers in the company to aid their decision making.

I am using Sage Intacct for Accounting and bookkeeping purpose, In my company we are Managing Accounts Payables for our clients and Sage Intacct is very useful for doing that. This gives client transparency and power to approve or denied PO's so that the approval will be as per the requirements. Sage Intacct is providing reports in almost every manner. It gives whatever you want and it thoroughly meets the client needs. This is so useful for bookkeeping as well as reconciliation.
• The PO's approval flow, its so flexible we can change the approvers and also we can approve on behalf of approvers.
• It gives reports for each category and this reports helps in satisfying client needs ie. GL, T&E, Unapproved PO reports etc.
• The interface is so good and easy to understand, There is no need of giving hardcore training to anyone to use this application. Anyone with sound knowledge can operate.
• Intacct is providing a platform where the user and client both can draft PO's change the things and edit the things if needed
• The interface can be more attractive
• when logged out we have to again select the company and then entities, so its better when we login again it display the same page at which we were.
There is one scenario where Sage Intacct is well suited as we have to provide data to client and client needs the specific biils for specific vendor from last 3 years. so this GL report and BILL customer report gives the whole thing and client was happy on that.

I use Sage to input my project hours. The interface is clean and works far more intuitively than the last couple programs my work tried. So far Sage has saved time by allowing me to quickly amass my various workflows and enter without any problems (You wouldn't believe how difficult my last account site made it.) Kudos, Sage.
• Clean interface
• Intuitive
• Simple
• The home page is cluttered. Way too much information.
• Wish I could attach my calendar for even easier inputting
If you're a professional creative, who needs to log your hours in order to illustrate the "burn" on every account, you could do much worse that pushing your agency to adopt Sage as their record system. The transition to Sage has been painless, and beleieve me, all of us in the office were groaning upon learning we'd be migrating somewhere new.

Sage Intacct is a brilliant tool which provides a support to help our clients to get a complete Accounting Solution Package. It is very user friendly and provides a solution for every ask and requirement of the client effectively.
• Readymade reports – There are multiple readymade reports available within Sage Intacct, which usually serve the purpose. These will be mostly the reports which are used on a very regular basis. This shows, how the tool understands the requirements of the people. This would help management for financial analysis with ease.
• Very good features – it has some very good features such as payment application, GJ upload, which will be very easy and anyone can perform the activity just by learning once.
• Journal Entries – Usually posting reclassification or any other JE for that matter would be a complex process and chances of going wrong would be very high, however Sage Intacct makes it very easy and help users to understand it very quickly.
• As soon as the payment status turns to “Paid” the entry gets blocked, not allowing us to make any changes. However, in practical scenarios, there will be instances where we need to make some corrections. It would be of great help if we could get this feature enabled.
• Audit Log – Need to improve the audit log to provide more accurate and complete information about any changes.
• Since we are in an era of Social Marketing – more the visual impact, more the over all impact. So need to incorporate Dashboard Feature to get a glimpse of the health of the process/company by an eagle eye view.
I think Sage Intacct is a perfect application for small and mid-sized businesses which are looking to effectively manage their accounting framework. In my experience, it enables businesses to make decisions in an informed and timely manner, helping them shape their organization in a competitive market. With the help of accurate financial statements, businesses can secure additional funding through loans or other advances, which in turn allows for expansion and increased business opportunities.

Payroll Journal Entries, Accounts Payable - I primarily use Intacct to print checks for our clients and enter payroll journal entries.
• Import journal entries
• Dashboards are nice - just learning to use them
• Checks are easy to print
• Credits do not sync well from Bill.com
I like the Applications tab that can take me directly to specific items.
It is sometimes cumbersome to move from one area to the other, but I feel like it is more of a learning curve for me than a fault with Intacct

We moved from QB to Intacct because we needed multi-entity support. It was very helpful for that. We use it to run the books for our business - from credit card spend and AP Bills to tracking commissions (a weakness of Intacct), and our general ledger.
• multi-entity
• interface and design - not intuitive
• reporting and ease of creating advanced reports with filters
• searching the system (basically doesn't work)
• advanced filtering of lists (anything other than exact match and wildcards on a list aren't possible)
• custom objects are customizable, but lacking in fully powerful customizations
• API access seems difficult - platforms like Zapier (which could be hugely helpful) do not integrate with Sage Intacct
• support is total crap
• invoice document templates run on MS Word 2007 which is highly limiting for advanced customizations
• slow and not always the most responsive when processing or saving certain things
• user interface is a steep learning curve and seemingly hasn't been updated since the early 2000s
• very few keyboard shortcuts available, which is frustrating when trying to key in lots of data
it's good for multi-entity usage, but it's also not the most intuitive thing to use, is sold as "cloud first" but doesn't integrate with everyone (they just tried to shake us down for more money to re-build the integration with Citibank, one of the largest banks in the united states), and is slow and unresponsive when processing certain things

We are a General Contractor that used Sage 100 for 10 years before making to switch to Intacct
• Integrates with Procore
• Extensive reporting capabilities
• Automated monthly activities
• Sage 100 had a Project Summary Screen. A one stop shop for all project related information. We can build something similar in a Dashboard but it isn't as good as Sage 100.
• In Sage 100 issuing joint checks was a breeze. It is a very frustrating and time consuming process in Intacct.
• We have only been live for a couple of months but these are the two most frustrating issues at the moment.
Overall SAGE Intacct is a vast improvement over Sage 100. However, there are some simple features in 100 that we took for granted that are not in Intacct which is frustrating.

This product helps streamline accounting tasks such as journal entries, cash management, accounts payable and accounts receivable, invoicing. I mainly use the Accounts receivable functions, such as receipting payments and depositing to our bank through the Sage system. From there I use the AR and AP functions simultaneously to use the Cash Reconciliation factor.
• Invoicing
• Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable
• I recommend that when viewing a customer or vendor in a specific entity it should show you their invoices and payment statuses
I have used multiple different accounting software and this is by far the easiest to understand and use. The user interface is kind of clunky, but once you figure it out, it becomes easier to follow from start to finish. Intacct seems to interact with numerous other software systems to allow for seamless integration.

We use Sage Intacct for full cycle accounting and reporting and have even started to use the more advanced report features to create custom reports that are unique to Sage Intacct. It helps manage all of our data and organize it into easy to use data storage for future manipulation.

Sage is very user friendly and makes onboarding new accounting professionals easier and faster. The dimensions features rather than incorporating those into the account strings is something that adds versatility and makes it future proof so that when new business units come on line or there is a need for added reporting we can pivot to pull in additional data without the need to completely rework the GL.

I use Accounts Payable, Positive Pay, & Reports applications. It has helped streamline a few processes that were previously manual, which has been a big help. This has helped us become more efficient & productive as a team. Use case in place we have certain users with access to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management without access to the other applications. We implemented this to have controls in place so there isn't conflict of interest.
• uploading of invoices, vendor details, etc
• being able to customize reports
• process of printing checks easy & can be sorted to specifics
• the implementation process wasn't as smooth, & it's not as easy to view the aging that was added from our previous accounting system.
It's an up to date accounting software with a lot of potential. Still learning the system, but it's definitely an improvement over the prior system we had. I would definitely recommend it, as it will keep you applicable in today's market. You can have users with full access all way down to just view only access. So the potential is endless, & they are constantly updating.

Sage Intacct allows us to access our information remotely and also, to streamline our processes. It is a much more efficient program than what we used in the past and provides the ability to see many facets of a project simultaneously.
• Sending invoices and customer statements
• unique design capability for custom reporting
• customizing to each industry
• in person support
Sage Intacct is well suited for quicker "one and done" jobs and is a bit more tedious for larger, multi-phased, progress billed projects... there are recent improvements to the program that appear like they will help with the larger projects. Also, somehow making it more obvious what the additional features are that could assist in streamlining processes.

Our business relies on Sage Intacct for almost all of our accounting needs. We use it to maintain our accounting records, run reports, pay AP bills, record and bill sales, and more. It helps us stay organized by keeping everything in one system and can easily integrate with our other software systems.
• It gives users access to a vast array of reporting options with the ICRW add-on.
• It easily syncs with other software systems, like Salesforce, to make day-to-day work seamless.
• It provides the freedom to customize all aspects of the system to meet your company's needs.
• The self-help and training resources could be better. It is difficult to find quick answers sometimes, especially for reporting questions.
• Complex reports can experience regular downtime around the end of the month.
Sage Intacct is ideal for more complex businesses that are looking for a highly-customizable accounting solution. It may not be the best choice for a small business where the primary user does not have the time to explore the capabilities of the software fully or utilize the reporting options.

We upgraded our local accounting software to Intacct 4 years ago. We were looking for a software that provided more functions and usability and Intacct has provided that for our company. The features have been a great fit for our company and the accounting team has enjoyed using the software. it is helpful that our IT department can assist in customizing the standard features provided to best suit our company needs.
• The menu is organized in a way that is effective for the different functions of accounting. The applications are broken out by function such as Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Order Entry, Accounts Receivable, etc.
• The reporting functions for each application are very useful. There is also the ability to create custom reports to fit a specific need, which has also been helpful.
• Sage Intacct releases new features multiple times throughout the year to create better functionality for customers. It is nice that they are invested in keeping the software up to date and easy to use.
• The Fixed Asset module is out of date. While some of the other applications do feed into it, the credit card transaction upload that we perform does not feed over to the account and requires a manual asset creation if necessary.
• Some programs do not feed over to Sage Intacct. For instance, we have had two payroll providers where the general ledger from payroll does not upload the Sage Intacct and is therefore a manual entry. We do not mind since we often have one off situations where we have to adjust accounts, but for some this may create more work. In addition, we do not have our bank transactions feed over either. This requires an upgraded charge to Intacct and we did not see it fit for our company at the time. Again, not something we mind, but might be a pain point for others.
The order entry application allows our company to have our sales operations department input the order and mark it as "ready for accounting" so that accounting can review the order and create an invoice if everything looks good on the order. Intacct communicates with our "back office" once the invoice is created, which creates a seamless process as long as there are no sync errors. Our company provides digital subscriptions and we just recently introduced physical products. The inventory module that Intacct provides at an upgraded cost did not meet our companies needs at this time.

We predominantly use Sage Intacct for core finance activities and management, in addition to tracking project time and labor costs. The biggest problem the product has addressed for us is the ability to track project hours and associated labor costs, allowing for more accurate forecasts and insight into project margin.
• Automated billable expenses - the ability to automate the process of re-billing a customer for such expenses (i.e., travel expenses).
• The ability to automate time and material billings.
• Being able to extract financial data in usable CSV formats for deeper analysis.
• Reporting is incredibly bulky and inefficient. Custom reports are very hard to produce without a very in-depth knowledge of many variables. There’s also an Inability to run reports at the transactional currency level.
• The modules don’t all “talk” to each other, which again makes reporting or analysis difficult. Hybrid billing methods (for example, milestones + t&m) are not really supported, as the contracts module doesn’t “speak” to the projects module, and you cannot include t&m billings in a contract in order to track all billings in the same report.
• The entire system itself is not very user-friendly or intuitive. Each aspect has a fairly large learning curve.

We use Sage Intaact daily to generate ledgers and keep track of files, payments, reconciliations, contacts and more. The business problems the product addresses are log and storing issues such as syncing with with our other accounting systems.
• Storage
• Maneuvering
• Syncing/Collaborating
• Access to Correcting Mistakes easier
• More access to non-administrators
• Locating vendors by a few letter
The storage of information is amazing and we love how it automatically generates reports.
