I have used UserTesting in three studies. Twice it was to gain feedback on concepts/prototypes. Those two sessions gave us the insights to prioritize projects and also iterate on the original design for maximum usability.

Everything we do, including research and testing in User Testing is about improving our products and services. Having a digital tool that allows us to work with internal users remotely gives us a wider foundation for testing than using internal users we can interview face-to-face. It's improved the quality (and reliability) of the research we are able to conduct, which gives us much more credibility with those who are making business decisions.

User Testing is awesome in helping me finding the participants I need for my research. It allows me to set up screeners for the participants that I'm looking for and I always get these participants very quickly. That's really helped me to test our designs quickly and being able to share it with stakeholders in a short time so they can decide on a feature or design that would help improving the product in a less time

This has been invaluable for helping to improve our designs. A lot of designers had just been pushing designs to development without incorporating any testing into their process, so having a quick way to collect feedback to quickly iterate helps design to incorporate this into their process without too much pushback. The amount of effort it requires to put together the test isn't terribly difficult.

Developing a prototype can be time-consuming even with a persona as a reference, that is when UserTesting comes in handy. My process often involves coming up with multiple variations and then launching a preference test to see how the users react to them. It is extremely helpful to get unbiased opinions within a short amount of time to help me make a final decision and proceed to develop a fully-functional prototype.

By improving my website copy, I was able to adjust the on-page viewership and click-through to demos which was the ultimate goal. Having customer feedback is beneficial if you are used to developing landing pages quite frequently and only have yourself or your own team to rely on. There's a lot that an outside pair of eyes can provide that will truly make a major difference in your click-through.

I like that you can dial in on a target audience, but I think that it is easy for the testers to answer the screening questions in such a way to do the test, even if they are not reflecting their true knowledge. I have used some fairly specific criteria, only to end up with a lackluster test because the person just goes "I don't understand what this is."

Now that they have moved to a more expensive monthly payment option I cannot justify making that kind of purchase for people to sort of dodge the screening questions and deliver useable tests.

UserTesting feedback is fundamental to documenting and describing specific design decisions. In general, the two streams where the tool was helping my team were in particular the validation of specific UX patterns (in terms of user acceptance, overall validity, and stakeholder decision-making input on implementation) and the validation of strategic company business decisions in which area/experience we should focus according to the qualitative inputs from concept test evaluations

Getting feedback with UserTesting has become a standard way of doing business now that it's difficult to piece apart from the various ways in which we benefit. I have some clients who won't make any decisions without first getting feedback so, for those clients, I'm logged into UserTesting all day long and running studies.

Absolutely. The findings and insights I gather from users while using UserTesting have really elevated the value of my user experience team as a whole. We have garnered more respect within our organization for being able to showcase real consumer behaviors in a natural and everyday way. Our better understanding of our consumers has led to dramatic design changes in our sites and products.

To be able to listen to user feedback, and test potential designs, has saved time, developer hours, designer hours, potentially failed experiences, the list goes on. Additionally, to test a market that we haven't tapped into yet, and find out what customers are interested in has been invaluable and mitigates risk.

One of the silver linings in using the platform is establishing best practices. Not only did UserTesting allow us to start testing early and often, it also got our product partners and the rest of the company more familiar with user-centered design. When they were able to see the difference the feedback made by virtue of improvements to our applications, it was like night and day. Coworkers and colleagues actually started becoming advocates, which was an important milestone for UX maturity at any organization. We could easily target the audience with speed and efficiency, cutting our testing down from weeks to days with greater impact.

YES! This is the main reason I am using UserTesting. That authentic, quick feedback from customers is invaluable. So many times in the past, I've designed solutions that turned out to be not useable. I was able to save expensive development time by iterating on the design solutions and making them more useable and valuable to users by testing them in UserTesting.

We've benefited in so many ways. The speed of getting tests up and running is really useful. I'm almost always able to target the exact customer I'm looking for and field the test quite quickly. I'm quickly able to gather data to help support my stakeholders in their decision-making. We used to rely only on focus groups and in-depth interviews to gather information about product expectations. While these methods do serve their purpose, it took over 60 days to work with an external team to develop discussion guides and secure a location/participants. We only had access to audio recordings, so we were not able to see user behavior in real-time. Now, we can deploy tests and gather feedback in a matter of a few days. It's helped us to stay relevant in a changing market—especially as we all recover from the global pandemic.

Having enough audience to get valuable insights is what the business always wanted, with real people feedback, reactions, suggestions and numbers to back it up. So having insights backed with data and reporting make it easier to implement design and user experience to market. It also eliminates some guesswork and quality assurance tests from the team.
