Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I trialed around 7 products, which include 4 education products and 3 online products at least. I can't remember all of the pros and cons as it was a couple of years ago and I am now upgrading from a free plan to a paid one. Suffice to say, Airtable beat all of them hands down, for ease of use and flexibility.

We tried one other tool before trying Airtable, 2 years ago. I can't remember the name but it just didn't have the same ability to automate business processes with Zapier, it has since gone out of business.

The only comparable product is Google Sheets, which has the easy to use spreadsheet and the ease of collaboration. Airtable far exceeds Google Sheets for its ability to upload into cells, and organize, use templates, etc., however, it does not completely replace the need for Google Sheets, especially for data sets and storage, sorting, or to be able to see more text at a glance.

I am very familiar with FileMaker Pro. I grew up on FMP. But unless you "grew up" with FMP, the learning curve for newbies is really steep. Also, we are a very small, start-up nonprofit and Airtable not only fits our immediate needs but it also will allow us to grow into the full robustness of this application for a far more reasonable cost.... bigger bang for the buck. Since I will be the one to train people on the use of Airtable, it is cost-effective in terms of my using my time and energy to show volunteers how to use the database.

Airtable has a nice mix of all of the heat features found in both Trello and Asana. I find Airtable to be a bit more attractive than Asana. Although that's mostly cosmetic, I find that visual appeal is imperative to use experience and increased productivity.

Airtable is way more powerful than Trello, while still incorporating the Kanban boards. However, in Airtable, you can customize the Kanban boards since they are actually database records, allowing for a lot more functionality.

With the tagging feature in Airtable, it is also a lot more versatile than Basecamp in tracking projects and assigning tasks.

We weren't able to find anything that can do what Airtable does within the free version. We have very simple needs but needed records to connect between sheets, and that's what Airtable does. We also needed something that could easily be passed on to new employees as current employees move on.

There's a load of free functionality available with Airtable, so it's less expensive. It's also way more intuitive and user-friendly compared to Insightly. As for Asana, I don't need that level of team collaboration at the moment, but I like that I can share whatever I create in Airtable with my clients.

Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Access offer some of the same functionality but Airtable affords more team collaboration tools and organization functions that the other databases lack. We use Access for one of our programs, but it is very complicated and not user-friendly like Airtable--it's not suitable for every staff member, where Airtable can be. Excel also doesn't allow multiple users to be in the file at the same time and managing changes (saves) is difficult--Airtable has a record of who makes changes/when which is helpful for quality assurance of our bases.

Our existing database was created for us several years ago in Filemaker. It is incredibly sophisticated but often times is proving to be challenging to operate or update for current uses. Airtable has provided a level of flexibility to create a number of workarounds outside of our Filemaker environment which fit easily with how our business is currently operating rather than how we were operating 10 years ago. In-house staff can easily make changes as required, without needing the assistance of external suppliers with development expertise.

Airtable is by far the best online collaboration - project - task management and database system on the market. I wish I would have known about this sooner. Gone are the days of reconfiguring my MS Access database. Airtable is so easy to use, and I will continue to use this platform for years to come!

While almost all the alternatives of Airtable also collect, store and analyze data (spreadsheets), none are true databases. While Airtable, when deployed, can act from a process start to its end, automating the whole process. Airtable is more efficient than its alternatives to automate an entire process or standard operating procedure to cloud, bringing efficiency not only to data management and generation of insights, but also to overall operations in the organization. This is one of the primary reason why I selected Airtable.

Airtable offers fewer features when it comes to HTML/web forms and user management, but has great plugins, and its straight-forward, intuitive UI offers a solution for users looking for an immediate answer on cloud-based relational database challenges.

We need more light tools right now for PM, so big products aren't a fit. We looked at other smaller products/players but none have nearly the features and ease of use as Airtable. Airtable has more flexibility in its views (Kanban plus Grid, Calendar view, named custom views, and filters), and a nice set of templates. You can also take your existing data/csv/spreadsheets, and upload them into Airtable. We haven't used Airtable for any large/huge data sets, so cannot speak to scalability. I preferred the Airtable billing model. You pay only for users that are shared/accessing your tables.
