What is Ascentis (discontinued)?

Ascentis was an a-la carte full suite workforce management (WFM) technology platform and human capital solutions. Ascentis WFM provided time and attendance solutions that provided clients with scheduling, compliance, complex calculations, and time collection options. The HCM suite, included a fully a-la carte solution.

Ascentis was acquired by UKG in March of 2022. The service will be discontinued.

  • Ascentis has cost more to our bottom line because we always had an in house system that we only paid an annual maintenance fee that was very minimal.
  • But it has decreased the amount of time an employee spends on new hire paperwork etc.

  • Benefits platform has been positive investment for how we manage our plans and the ease of employees being able to elect their plans. The OE implantation has been done with ease each year, making that process successful.

  • From a recruiting standpoint we have one and a half recruiters that have hired 200 new candidates this year. Without Ascentis recruiting tools I'm not sure we could have done this.
  • Applicant tracking alone has helped in our efficiencies.

  • Training and learning for managers are ongoing. We have been finding some things that need reinforcement as we move along.
  • Keeping open during COVID has been daunting. Some PPP and FFCRA codes have been used and disseminated as we go. None of those expenses has been aggregated yet.

  • Ascentis has enabled us to reduce the man-hours associated with recruiting and on-boarding.
  • Ascentis has enabled us to have a more successful open enrollment experience. Our open enrollment process has gone from over a month to two (2) weeks.
  • The self-service function has placed the responsibility of updating personal information on the employees. This is verified annually.

  • We are still in the early stages of the product use (6 months), but overall it has shortened the time our Recruiting and HR processes so much, that we have been able to focus our time on more strategic initiatives like creating talent pipelines and sourcing for active roles within the organization.
