Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. Sage Intacct delivers an array of core accounting applications such as a general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and order management to any accounting department or finance team. At my company we use sage intacct for our accounting processes. This allows us to generate any and all reports and or financial statements that we may need to present to our investors. This program makes our daily tasks easier by allowing us to upload a lot of our statements and invoices.

I use Sage Intacct for the whole of my job. There have been no business problems on my end. It's very useful and helps a bunch when applying payments and making invoices. It definitely makes accounting much easier and faster. I'm so happy my company uses this website. Thanks a lot Sage Intacct!

Sage Intacct is used for our financial and accounting needs and helps us with the payroll process, accounting and reporting. It has also provided a place to systematically organize all the organizations information. I used it primarily to pull and analyze reports.

We use Sage Intacct as our accounting software and the basis for a lot of our reporting. The level of detail that Sage allows us to capture, particularly via import, makes our reporting much more robust. The ability to create custom reports with relative ease has not only sped up our monthly reporting process but also allowed us to customize reporting to track our KPIs and quickly report to our operations team so they can address issues. Within the next year, we will be integrating Sage with our CRM via API to eliminate many of our manual imports and make reporting even faster and more reliable.

Well suited for multi-location, multi-dimensional users (i.e. multiple products, multiple customers, etc.). It is also well-suited for users who want to be able to create their own custom reports. The only scenario I can think of where Sage wouldn't be appropriate is very small, straightforward businesses that may not need all the functionality that Sage can provide.

We use Intacct as an ERP. We issue invoices and track inventory daily. The scope of our case is that the system is that the customisation of the system is very limited. In my opinion, the manufacturing ability of the product is also very limited and does not correspond or live up to the expectations that the sales person said the product can do when it was demonstrated to us.
It is less than appropriate when used in a manufacturing environment. Perhaps consider adding an MRP system. It also needs to improve its training material, as the training material available is very basic and does not cater for more advanced scenarios. In my opinion, the stock valuation is also incorrect based on our take on values that were incorrect - Intacct is posting the average costing values at values that we cannot determine with certainty.

We use Sage for AP entry and producing Financials. The Updates provided by Sage are going backward inefficiencies. They are creating duplicate work versus creating efficiencies. Now when you go to the vendor and click the vendor name, it brings you to the vendor card versus the vendor history. This makes the "View and Edit" options on the line ineffective since it will only open the vendor card and not the vendor History. In order to get to vendors' history, you now have increased steps to get there as you have to use the AP Ledger. Meanwhile, in the past two years, you cannot effectively get credit history to a vendor or recreate a check remit to provide to the vendor when credits are applied, which is an issue with Sage.

Sage is great in ease of basic AP ENTRY, but after that, it is one of the worst products out there. It is ineffective and inefficient in most tasks, and you have to create everything you wish to do from scratch EVERY USE because the system resets to new every time you need something. The training we received from Jean was the worst training I have ever received on any product I have ever used.

We transitioned from a license/maintenance software that was hosted onsite to Sage Intacct’s SaaS solution in 2019. This transition allowed our organization to transition to all SaaS tool, and create immense flexibility across our departments. We can now customize tools to best meet our ministry needs. This tool also allowed for near live-time reporting, which was key to navigating COVID’s impact over the past few years.

It has been great with integration. Connecting Intacct to expense management and budgeting/reporting tools has greatly served our organization.

It is not very suited to accept customer payments via an integrated ACH or credit card processor. It would be super helpful to allow a customer to make a payment directly from an invoice.

I use Sage Intacct for my grant accounting. The main modules I use are the general ledger, grant module, and financial reports module. A couple of the problems I've encountered are limited reporting for grants and options for maintaining grants.

I am the end user and also an implementer of Sage Intacct. I help different types of companies: for profit, non-profit and government to develop Intacct to meet their business needs.
  • Reporting - you are able to report on data in numerous ways
  • Grant tracking - being able to track grants has helped our clients tremendously!
  • Automated bank reconciliations
  • AP Approvals - this needs to be enhanced! Many other platforms do this better than what Intacct currently has and is a frustration to many companies.
  • AP Automation - this is a new feature, but I can already tell that other platforms do this better.
Sage Intacct is amazing at being able to consolidate your companies into one easy to use software! The ability to tag records by using dimensions allows users to create financial reports with ease and provides visibility into records. Sage Intacct also works well with non-profits who typically track grants or funding on spreadsheets. This is no longer needed as tracking at this level in Sage Intacct allows for easy insight into grant related data. It is simply the best ERP out there!

We use Intacct in as a multi-entity accounting package for all GL, AP, AR, and financial reporting purposes.

  • In my experience, customer service is essentially non-existent
  • In my opinion, pricing is unreasonable; we had a 45% increase year-over-year for same services
  • Problem and bug resolution time is unreasonable; often takes months to resolve issues.
  • In my opinion, training and support are very poor; the subscription and exhorbitant fees does not provide any worthwhile software support.
Software updates have been implemented that caused reduced functionality resulting in 10's of thousands of dollars to correct issues. The knowledge of the customer representatives is equivalent to that of a sales person, they have never offered any resolution beyond providing a quote for them to look at any problems we may have. For the price they charge, I expect some support, they have provided none.

Sage Intacct is used as our Financial Accounting System of record. We use Sage to provide Financial Reporting, Cash Flow analysis, and Data Entry. We integrate our Bank financial statements, HR platform, T&E platform, Invoicing platform, and Expense platform with Sage. This product addresses our eco system to make sure all revenue and expenses are booked to have an accurate reading on your financial health.

Sage is well suited for small and medium-sized businesses for financial reporting, other products Sage offers we decided not to use due to the lack of capabilities. Particularly the T&E feature. We really like Sage as our accounting platform of choice because of the multiple features it has to offer. We are able to easily split revenue across business lines, depreciate assets on a case-by-case basis, and have visibility into cash flow.

Sage Intacct is used by our accounting team to maintain the books of our Organization and its subsidiaries as well as by all employees of the Organization for time entry. Sage Intacct helps us maintain accurate records and track how much time employees are spending on projects. The time entries help us with our statement of functional expenses

We purchased this product to replace our previous system and consolidate multiple system into one. Our goal was to have one financial system to provide insight into all financial aspects of the organization. We also we planning to grow the organization and this platform provided more opportunities to easily grow our services and track that growth. We were looking to empower our project managers to have more control and insight into their projects which this package could provide.

  • Reporting is not straight forward and can be difficult to pick up
  • There is extensive help, but it is often hard to search and find what you are looking for and is often missing simple material that would be helpful; it lacks any concrete examples
  • The support site is makes it time consuming and difficult to submit a case; there is a lot of unnecessary information required.
  • My experience in getting things resolved through support cases has not been ideal; items in the help that are clearly inaccurate and have been pointed out still have not been updated or fixed 8 months later.
It is well suited in organizations that have a larger financial staff that has time to learn the intricacies and teach other staff members.

It will be less suited to organizations that have fewer dedicated financial staff or high turnover; there is definitely a learning curve.

If you are looking to be able to get detailed information about you finances, as long as the information is there you will be able to slice and dice data, however, the simpler your organization the less likely this will be useful - there are other programs that will provide an easier opportunity to get the information you need.

It is currently being used in the finance department. We are in the process of implementing the purchasing model so our supervisors can also have access to their budget and approve invoices.
  • Doesn't allow you to enter duplicated invoices.
  • Reconciliation of credit cards.
  • Reports. There's various options.
  • Credit Cards. You can not reclassify an invoice once a credit card payment has be entered.
  • Our total due to vendor will change from our top level and company level.
Intacct allows approval process. Accounts payable was having to send emails to department managers to make sure they agreed with the pricing and save that email then enter the invoice. Now with us setting up the purchasing process I can enter the purchase request and have them approve it and saves me a multiple steps.

I find that Sage Intacct is well suited to financial reporting. It allows me to produce reports that I can present to the non-accounting managers.

What I can say about Sage Intacct is that it's an ideal application for financial management and it makes every process easier and faster. It works as ERP where we can easily track all our accounting related activities. Sage Intacct works smoothly and perfectly compared to its competitors. It has a very intuitive and user-friendly interface that makes it super easy to get started with.

Sage makes it so easy for all users to report their monthly transactions in a timely manner. With our current set up and the start to a new fiscal year Sage has made it so easy for users to see their monthly budgets and track their usage for the month.

I produce Financials, reconcile accounts including bank accounts, pay the bills weekly and support the yearly Audit. I also process and journal entries for Sage Intacct and manage users (IDs/security). I create sales orders and support all purchase orders for the company. We were able to transition to a paperless environment in 2020 and attach all supporting documentation in Sage for journal entries and Invoices.

  • The help functionality can be improved with explanations and topics that are clearer.
  • Would like to see better formatting of 1099 forms for IRS reporting
Well suited for small organizations. The downloading of data is excellent for use in reconciling accounts. The security features are vague and I usually need help for Sage/Intacct to complete.
