Rippling - All in one stop for HR.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Rippling is used for my start and end of shift and meal timekeeping. It has an easy-to-use interface over multiple devices with an integrated mobile app. This is a one-stop shop for everything HR. It included my payroll data, timekeeping, and documents, making it perfect for viewing and managing everything important to my daily work tasks.

Pros

  • Timekeeping. Clock-in and clock-out times and total hours worked.
  • Payroll stubs are easily accessible.
  • Contracts and documents are stored and easy to sign.

Cons

  • Have an easy-to-navigate homepage.
  • Include a suggestion option for employees.
  • Organizational charts should be integrated better and should be more user-friendly.

Return on Investment

  • It ensures easy approval of timesheets.
  • Easy to post pay stubs for pay cycles.
  • Document updates are easy to locate through notifications.

Usability

A wonderful tool could use a bit more customization capabilities

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Rippling for payroll, employee management, benefits and 401k, IT provisioning, password management, and time tracking. Our business problems that Rippling is solving is mainly automation and policies! We had a very manual process before and it left room for a lot of human error that caused many a problem. Setting up Rippling to follow all of our company policies and guidelines was very easy, and now I know that all time tracking and payroll policies are being followed without ever thinking about it. We also had a half baked desktop tool for password management, and it was failing us. So having an online password sharer is a massive help to us.

Pros

  • Running payroll, so seamless and quick now!
  • Password sharing and security, it's very customizable
  • Integrations to the critical tools we use like Basecamp, Trainual, NetSuite
  • Auto creates accounts to our integrated software for new hires

Cons

  • The "personal vault" in RPass feels very unstable, if you forget your password, you lose your vault
  • Needs more time policy customizations for time tracking and payroll
  • A few integrations keep disconnecting and I have to completely remove it and reinstall

Return on Investment

  • We were previously paying ~$600 a month just to track time and run payroll. We're now paying ~800 a month for time tracking, payroll, benefits management, password sharing, IT management, employment tasks, and great reporting capabilities. It was a no-brainer to switch from our past tool.
  • We now have a confidence that each employee's information is correct! It easily became outdate in our last tool because employees did not have the option to update their own information.
  • Our password sharing process previously was an absolute mess. It was a desktop only tool that our IT team had to download to each computer and it wouldn't auto sync, so if someone made a change while another employee was in there, it wouldn't go through. So having RPass be online, everyone has their specific access, and the policies are in place, we no longer lose passwords!

Great tool for HR Management.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to track attendance, time, vacation days, PTOs, and One-on-one sessions. I have been using it for almost a year, and some of the features I like and have helped me a lot are how easy it is to track activity. It saves all changes. Rippling has helped me create good templates for one-on-one sessions with my team and customize them. You can keep track of all approvals, which is great when you have a large or small team.

Pros

  • Tracking your team's (and own) attendance.
  • Clock in and time tracking.
  • One-on-one sessions.

Cons

  • Navigation when you are a new user.
  • Keeping your own favorite pages.
  • Nitpicking: be able to change its theme.

Return on Investment

  • It saves times.
  • Easy to use.
  • Great IA assistance.

Best Company to use for managing your company.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Rippling to manage our financial matters, 401(k) distributions, PTO requests, and company credit cards. Rippling, as of late, has been addressing 401(k) distribution issues. The last company they used was not doing well, so they switched to a different one. Things went well until the company was bought out, and Rippling had to find another solution.

Pros

  • Rippling does a good job of making their website very user friendly.
  • They also make managing employees and benefits very well.
  • They handle the 401k distribution and which company is used very well also.

Cons

  • Rippling could improve their payment days. Currently they make employee payments around the 15th and 30th of the month, but it varies slightly with every month. It would make more sense to do this payment on every other Friday or every other Monday.

Return on Investment

  • We do not usually use rippling for this type of thing, so I cannot add anything to this section.

Usability

Rippling is a great investment 8/10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am the Human Resources Coordinator for the organization. While the software has IT and Financial features, the organization only utizlies the HR functionality of the software. We have since switched our corporate cards to the Rippling Finance/Cards, but most of our usage is strictly HR functions only.

Pros

  • Payroll processing
  • Job and pay changes
  • Calculating retropay
  • Reviews/feedback
  • Expenses/Reimbursements
  • Training/education
  • Helpdesk/Customer support

Cons

  • Password resets - admins should be able to reset passwords for users
  • Reporting - i can pull the same report twice and get two completely different outputs
  • Less dependency on AI. The Rippling on the Road 2026 felt like an AI positive brainwashing session. It felt like we were being forced to learn about/utilize AI functionality within the software. We need to depend on computers less as a society. Its dumbing us as a civilization.

Return on Investment

  • Faster hiring process w/ integration w/ Checkr - has doubled our orientation class group size
  • Easier reviews/promotions/salary increases
  • More accurate timekeeping
