Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I've used a variety of different platforms for video conferencing and webinars. Zoom is consistently the best, best looking, easiest to use, with great video and audio. It even fails intelligently when things go wrong.

Zoom is simple, streamlined, and easy to access for me and my clients. Zoom is NOT a website based application which means it has a cleaner look and I think the functionality is much smoother and user-friendly. When I have tried other systems there's always too many instructions, logging in to calls is confusing, or you have to make sure you've found your contacts correctly before beginning.

It is competitively priced and offers robust functionality. It was an easy decision to use Zoom over these others. Mainly value for the price made it an easy decision. A critical component was reliable connection (audio and visual) and ability to recording capabilities.

UberConference was a great, but couldn't record and connection wasn't always solid. UberConference was very easy to use and prospects loved it, but when there were audio issues, it was a real mess and I'd have to have a backup plan ready.

Join.me was a little less easy to use and we weren't as comfortable or confident in it.

We knew GoToMeeting would be a great solution, but it's also clunky and expensive.

It beats GTM on price, picture quality and ease of use for my clients. Fuze was pretty good and similar cost, but their technical support was dreadful and closed down at weekends when I would most often need it.

I have used Skype, AnyMeeting, Facetime, and have preferred Zoom over the others. Sound and video quality, features, and pricing wre the main factors that drove my decision to select Zoom.

We have been using Zoom free with just 2 people. We plan to switch to Zoom for all meetings and webinars because the cost is half as much. We will know more about the differences after our 30-person Board goes through the learning process.

Compared to WebEx, it's super user-friendly and recording is easy as pie.
Compared to Hangouts, its capacity is wider (recording, passing control etc.).
Compared to Join.me, it's simpler to use.
I even recommended it to people outside of my work circle who had technical problems during a video conference. They didn't look back...

I haven't used GoToMeeting for about a year but the functionality seems pretty similar, I remember GoToMeeting having a very robust calendar function and you could add meetings straight from gmail which was really helpful - I haven't seen this with Zoom.

We also use UberConference, its great because you dont have to enter a conference pin. Although the big downside is that you can only share screens and NOT see the faces.

Hangouts is built into our work emails, so everyone on my team is always on Hangouts, enabling easy, instant video calls if we choose.
Skype is a RAM hog, authenticates to Microsoft accounts (for whatever reason), crashes many devices, and has a pitiful UI.
WebEx is renowned for causing meeting delays because it exists as an invisible browser extension, which might not actually be installed yet. (Oops!)
Zoom is just one more entrant in the space. Not as annoying as Skype, a little less prone to delays than WebEx, but nowhere near as useful as Hangouts.

GoToMeeting was very long and not as intuitive for people to use, as they had to install the software on the computer and it always took 10 minutes for clients to do that, plus the audio kept going on and off, and we always had to switch between dialing in and using the computer as the audio was so poor and kept losing the connection. We had a similar experience with Skype for Business.

  • Skype for Business and WebEx Meetings
We have used both of these solutions. In our case, both were locally hosted, so we had to maintain the platform that ran the solution ourselves. That need is completely gone with Zoom. Running those solutions on in-house computers was relatively easy, but interfacing with individuals and devices outside of our organization was difficult, or sometimes impossible. Again, that problem went away with the adoption of Zoom.
