I close out travel trips and as well issue travel checks when other employees travel for business.
  • Watch out for errors
  • quick
  • thorough
  • When getting error show what needs to be done so we can pinpoint what's wrong
  • Not freeze when going through certain prompts
Overall it very good to use with the work I do minus the minor bugs that any other system has it has been great.

time management and expense management...one tool for both business processes
  • time sheet management
  • expense management
  • training management
  • cloning a previous timesheet does not work easily; in fact every time I attempt to clone it has not worked
  • the interface to upload images in the expense report system is not clear. i often upload the incorrect file as it is not clear on how to use the interface
i think Sage is a solid tool for small businesses who are looking to centralize talent management or some HCM capabilities

Sage Intacct was easy to implement. It is very user intuitive.
  • Running Financial Reports
  • Journal Entries
  • Accounts Payable
  • Integrating for bank reconciliations with more banks
  • Payment posting for Accounts Receivable
We do not use Intacct to its fullest capabilities. It is well suited for day to day accounting functions and reporting. The one area that could be improved and what they are working on is adding more banks for direct feeds on bank reconciliations.

Sage Intacct was implemented at Potatoes SA to modernize and simplify our financial accounting system as well as to implement a project management system for our Core Business Units. Previously project management was conducted across various programmes and platforms, with no cohesion and often difficult to manage, between our CBU. Sage Intacct's project management module made it easy to implement, standardized layout, language and almost one-touch reporting capabilities. Making our business streamlined and efficient.
  • Budgeting
  • Project Management
  • Bank Management
  • Credit Card Management
  • Invoice & Statement send functionality to Customers not automated
Sage Intacct with all its functionalities will be best suited to a medium to large company, as most small companies might not need all the functionalities.
However, for a medium to large company, Sage Intacct is a fantastic product.

Sage Intacct is used as our primary ERP system. We are going to have 2 proprietary systems that work with Intacct that will handle Purchase Orders and Payments that will include OSV technology to streamline the process. We use it for budgeting, P&L and general entry and cash reconciliation.
  • General Ledger Reports
  • Reversals
  • Editing Entries
  • Attachments to add onto Entries
  • Permission Issues on Top Level and Entity Level
  • Making importing entries easier
Intacct is well suited for general entry and reports. It is extremely useful at reversing entries accurately. The Recurring Entries feel clunky and take awhile to complete and occasionally makes mistakes (especially when posting to the past). It is a bit unwieldy when it comes to reconciling when there are multiple methods of payments.

I currently use Sage Intacct for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Reporting. The product helps us to streamline our invoice approval process for AP, as well as it helps us to create invoices for AR. The product also helps us with financial reporting. It is very easy to send reports internally, as well as externally.
  • Allowing users to customize financial reports
  • Creating invoices for Accounts Receivable
  • Sage Intacct makes reconciling bank accounts a smooth process
  • Being able to view multiple AR accounts at once. Instead of having to select one at a time
  • Allowing the memo in Accounts Payable entries to auto update like journal entries do.
  • Bank feeds for Fifth Third Direct for reconciliations.
Sage is perfect for creating invoices with ease for AR and being able to send payables to different individuals in your organization for approval. Sage is also excellent for non- profit organizations, the financial reports can be customized in so many different ways. If you have multiple bank reconciliations that you have to complete each month Sage is also a great product. You can complete bank reconciliations with ease and even drill directly into entries from the recons to make changes. The only thing that I would like to see is more direct one on one customer support for specific issues that you may run into when using the system. Other than that, I am very pleased with the product overall.

We are a non-profit organization that operates afterschool programs for children from TK-12th grade in Los Angeles California area and some surrounding communities. The main obstacle with non-profit finances is compliance and Sage Intacct provides what is necessary for the yearly audit process performed by the IRS. This is my first time ever using Sage and honestly, the ability of the Reporting portion of the software is overwhelming compared to Intuit Quickbooks; a program I have used for almost 10 years. Compared to the desktop version of Quickbooks, Sage Intacct provides a more user-friendly approach with it's basic formatting and simplicity of it's processes, making for a more sincere fiscal atmosphere.
  • Financial statements/reporting - formal presentation of financials is very clean
  • Categorizing activity - the amount of ways to detail a single transaction seems endless
  • Journal Entries - categorizing the TYPE of journal entry allows one more level of detail to the financials
  • Accounts receivable payment processing - the page is confusing when it comes to selecting the invoices the payment will be applied to
  • Allow journal entries to be adjusted without having to reverse then re-enter; then leaving a note or something for that transaction showing the update
  • Allow posted invoices to accept/obtain attachments; not locked after "Posted" status hits
For the approaching audit season, Sage Intacct will produce reports in a format that is "reviewer-ready". There is minimal to no formatting or reorganizing needing to be done to the reports. The data is clearly presented based on the detailed categorization and classification process as finance activity is entered into the system.

Sage Intacct allows us to access our information remotely and also, to streamline our processes. It is a much more efficient program than what we used in the past and provides the ability to see many facets of a project simultaneously.
  • Sending invoices and customer statements
  • unique design capability for custom reporting
  • customizing to each industry
  • in person support
Sage Intacct is well suited for quicker "one and done" jobs and is a bit more tedious for larger, multi-phased, progress billed projects... there are recent improvements to the program that appear like they will help with the larger projects. Also, somehow making it more obvious what the additional features are that could assist in streamlining processes.

Our business relies on Sage Intacct for almost all of our accounting needs. We use it to maintain our accounting records, run reports, pay AP bills, record and bill sales, and more. It helps us stay organized by keeping everything in one system and can easily integrate with our other software systems.
  • It gives users access to a vast array of reporting options with the ICRW add-on.
  • It easily syncs with other software systems, like Salesforce, to make day-to-day work seamless.
  • It provides the freedom to customize all aspects of the system to meet your company's needs.
  • The self-help and training resources could be better. It is difficult to find quick answers sometimes, especially for reporting questions.
  • Complex reports can experience regular downtime around the end of the month.
Sage Intacct is ideal for more complex businesses that are looking for a highly-customizable accounting solution. It may not be the best choice for a small business where the primary user does not have the time to explore the capabilities of the software fully or utilize the reporting options.

I use Sage Intacct to record and approve my Time and Expenses and use it for Project Purchase Requisition. I also use it to request company time off. There are no significant problems with this product that my company has. I am an Employee so I not familiar with the advanced features of the product, only with the basics.
  • Creates an organized format for the requested and completed reports
  • Easy to read and record times in the timesheets
  • The Project Purchase requisition tab allows for a customizable panel to allow to search for name, price, vendor, etc
  • The UI could have more colors to make is visually more appealing
  • There can be a settings menu to change the font size to the desired size
  • The search feature in the project purchase requisition tab allows the search for full phrases and not words. For example, for a PR labelled "PVDF HSV900", searching for HSV900 would not return that PR
The UI is easy to use but it would more visually appealing

We use it as accounting software for our outsourced accounting clients
  • Prevents mistakes
  • Pulls reports acceptable by the AICPA
  • Not too many confusing features
  • The inability to delete a transaction entered in error even right after it was entered is a bit limiting
  • Some kind of batch enter function would be nice for AP runs
  • I find the menu system could be simplified
It is perfect for AP runs and compilations. I like how everything is as simple as possible as compared to quickbooks, which puts a bunch of confusing features in your face and gives the user many opportunities to mess everything up.

We use this product with out Indigenous Service Niche which cuts down the time spent on everyday processing, approvals are all digital, streamlines EFT processing and provides on demand Fund income statements and opening and surplus closing balances without have to use 3rd party application.
  • Digital Approval System
  • Quicker processing times
  • Easier Fund Reporting
  • Easy interface for clients to learn
  • Paperless system
  • Add Digital timestamp of approvers to cheque req's and purchase req's when document is printed. Otherwise the approver is essentially approving it twice, digitally and hand written
  • Finance Report Writer - have the ability to edit excel table lines. Opening closing surplus flows through with a budget and variance and should not be pulling down the formula of those two columns
  • When notes are added to decline transactions, have those notes available to anyone to read so when declined, a user can check what the issue is and why it was declined
  • Allow a testing environment or have other users other than Business to try other roles
  • Secure attachments from being viewed between other departments even though users are restricted to certain funds. The GST or balance sheet account is enabling users to be able to drill into other accounts and see coding preventing a risk of confidentially
It's my favorite software. it works extremely well in the Indigenous Niche and I think it would work well with others. I am unsure on the pricing for small business so if the price was affordable to those users, I think this is better software than Sage Business Cloud Accounting.

We used Sage 300 and transitioned to Sage Intacct. The transition went well. We now are able to eliminate almost all of the paper we used to store as a result of being able to keep everything electronically. In addition, our auditors don't have to burden us with as many questions as they have access to everything remotely. We used to have auditors on site for 3 weeks. They now come on site for 1 day.

The software is very user friendly, especially considering the software we used to use. The cost is variable based on modules used and number of users. So, it would be affordable for any company in my opinion. With the system being cloud based, it makes having a hybrid work structure significantly easier to manage.

I would recommend this software to almost anyone!
  • Detailed information by drilling
  • Cloud based accessibility
  • User friendly
  • Reasonable cost for the benefits received
  • With our configuration, it is sometimes difficult to have multiple windows open with similar information (say if you are comparing things).
  • Online help could be improved.
This is the best software I have used. I have used SAP, Quickbooks, and everything in between.

For extremely large companies, I don't think this would be a good fit, but for most companies, I think this would be an exceptional tool. I would encourage people to at least get a demo to determine if it appears to be a good fit for them.

We use sage to assist us in our monthly financial closings. from the experience I had in the past with other accounting software's, Sage Intact is by far the easiest and most user friendly system that I have worked with. Sage allows you to easily fix wrong entries and navigate through task efficiently.
  • Sage is very Simply to use
  • Easily create and fix journal entries.
  • Sage is able to coordinate with other accounting tools such as Excel and Xchive
  • Sage can implement tutorials for new users.
Sage is well suited for any time of business. I think every company should switch over to sage if they want to further grow their business. The amount of time saved using Sage is only one of the perks it has to offer. In addition, the easy to use interface allows almost any professional to understand in no time

We use Sage for accountings payable, cash management, credit card, and bank reconciliation.
  • Easy bank reconciliation with rules and bank feeds.
  • Intercompany multi-entity property entries in the general ledger and AP.
  • Drag and drop attachments into journal entries and AP bills.
  • Credit card payments via AP. If an invoice is recorded in AP and then paid by CC, you can make the payment via AP instead of reversing and creating a new entry in the cash management module.
  • Making corrections to bills in the payment request field instead of having to back out and unselect bills first.
Sage is very user-friendly. The Sage University and help pages are fantastic.

Sage Intacct is mainly used for financial journal entries and monthly general ledger reports. Software is used daily in the company and proves to be extremely important. My position incorporates a ton of work on Sage and uploading and accessing the files there.
  • Organized

  • When 'Done' with a screen, you're returned to the top of the origin. Screen. I'd like to return to the item I was done with. (To be able to move to the next transaction in line.)

Create Financial reports, Load GL Entries, Update and pull fixed assets, Switch between different entities, and Love the easiness and friendliness of the application. Being able to adjust entries after posting is one of the best features. Tracking bills and Vendors is easy, and being able to input and modify is a breeze. Sometimes the fixed asset module gets updated incorrectly, but I think the last update fixed the issue. I use the product mainly for accounting and finance functions.
  • Journal Entries.
  • Financial Reports.
  • Accounts Payable.
  • General Ledger.
  • Fixed Asset Module.
  • Automation features.
  • Friendlier reporting tools.
It is a great General Ledger and Accounts Payable system. The fixed assets module is great but sometimes has problems with the asset sub-ledger not working properly and always have to contact a third party to correct the issue. Wish there was a way for the users to correct the issue and not have a time lag. Sometimes a bill was entered twice and the system will not let the user delete the duplicate bill and another annoyance to have to contact support.

We use Sage Intacct daily to record daily receipts and refunds, which are used to reconcile our bank accounts. Daily and monthly journal entries are posted as part of the consolidation for our multi-company setup. Payments are received against invoices entered for AR. Checks and electronic payments are recorded against AP bills entered into the system.
  • Consolidation of multiple companies to the top level for financial reporting.
  • Helpful tips and tricks on most screens to walk you through the steps.
  • Creating custom reports, without training or much research, has been relatively easy!
  • Intercompany entries: during implementation, automatic intercompany entries were not a priority, but they should have been. We have to create an AR Advance and an AP Advance to transfer funds between accounts. I've worked with other software (NetSuite) that allows you to create one side and click a button to auto-create the opposite intercompany side, saving valuable time and less room for error.
  • The attachment function is great, but if you want to use it in different companies, you have to create a JE at the top level, add an attachment, save it, then cancel the JE, then you will be able to use the attachment in multiple companies.
  • Sage Intacct help ticketing community is slow to resolve (known) issues.
Sage Intacct is well suited for our Finance and Accounting team. However, Sage Intacct is not well suited for our business niche of mass invoicing customers, receiving electronic payments, recording notes, and keeping customer records.

Our company uses Sage Intacct for our accounting system. We have a multi-entity organization that often makes inter-entity transactions and Sage Intacct has always made it very easy and straighforward to do so. We use Sage to store not only our regular general journal transactions but we also use the accounts payable module, accounts receivable and order entry. We invoice our customers in each entity from this software with no issue. It has always made it very easy for there to not be any confusion even when customers are being billed from different entities.
  • Invoicing
  • Bill Paying
  • Inter-entity transactions
  • Contract module is hard to work with
  • The activation and inactivation of vendors, and what it does with entries
  • Prepaid module is hard to work with
Sage Intacct shows its proficiency every month for our company. When it is time to make entries not only within one entity, but within several ones, it never fails to make the entries exactly as needed. We have international companies with different currencies and it is accurate and helpful in even those cases.

Fairmount moved to Sage Intacct after a failed implementation of SAP Concur. We engaged Concur to handle payables processing, but after two years with the product, we had experienced no real gain in efficiency or reduction in staff time dedicated to payables. The reporting was also lackluster at best. Around the same time, our Fixed Asset software was expiring as was our budgeting software. We used our EMR for financial reporting, which was limited at best!

Sage has solved multiple issues for us. First, its replaced an entire file room of paper documents, as we now attach all invoices to the electronic record in sage. Our managers LOVE having instant access to their invoices. Second, we have built out far more robust reporting, with each manager having real time access to their actual vs. budget reporting. Our old software required all managers to work with accounting for any kind of detailed reporting, but with sage, managers can drill down and answer 90% of their own questions without the intervention of a finance team member.

We have also used sage to formalize an invoice approval process. We love that approvals are saved on the invoice record, and are easy to show our auditors how each transaction moved through our process.

We see so many future opportunities to continue rolling out new (and automated) reporting to our leadership team!
  • Fixed Asset Management
  • Dynamic reporting
  • Accounts Payable Processing
  • fully integrated donor tracking
  • Fixed asset is older/clunky module. Glad its included in the package, but newer interface would be helpful, along with additional reporting options
  • Custom Report writer - Not super easy to use, but seems to have nearly limitless options.
I think Service oriented businesses with relatively few users are VERY well served by sage. I'd like to try sage in an inventory environment to see how it preforms there.

We use Sage Intacct as our accounting system. We record all transactions for the company within Intacct. From paying bills, to creating invoices, and all transactions in between, it all goes into Intacct.
  • Custom Reports
  • Dig into transactions and related support
  • User-friendly navigation
  • Speed of reports - large files could take a long time to upload
  • Speed of imports - large imports you have to wait to receive an email while it loads
  • Excel-based connectivity - be able to link into an excel add-in to create custom reports in excel
It is well suited for mid-large sized companies who are looking to use Intacct for their whole accounting function. Less appropriate for small businesses who could do with a less-costly option.
