We were able to build out a platform that most of our initial goals. Admittedly, I have not used half of the available features, but what I needed is easy to use. Customization is the most valuable feature. No product out there, without customizations, would work for most companies. I don't know how I could live without it.

Yes, the software can be configured to do almost anything within the confines of a browser. As I elaborated earlier that we use the software in several ways and each "app" is configured differently. But this does cause some difficulty that I would compare the blank canvass problem. I.E. it can be configured anyway and do many things so how it can be difficult to start the process because of the huge range of options.

It's very flexible but some of that flexibility requires quite technical engagement. The solution works and has been very effective at 'professionalizing' a very complex workflow. The business likes to use the portal that we created and the flexibility of the tool has enabled us to create the workflow to work with multiple teams on a consistent basis. I searched extensively for tools that could offer us this functionality and no other provider could support our exact requirements.

Kintone has been exactly what we didn’t realize we needed. The only limitation to its capabilities is the user putting together the applications. It’s sort of a “the sky is the limit” scenario. There are also a vast array of examples and tutorials to teach users how to use the software and solve specific, common problems.

Kintone has been awesome at meeting the needs of extensive needs of RRCA. So far we have developed hundreds of apps, divided into 10 spaces for 3 divisions. One of those divisions is the largest in RRCA and will have another 15 programs to add to the build. Then there are still 2 more divisions. One with multiple programs and one with crazy strict visibility restrictions.

We have some solutions but are still lacking in depth of information available. Kintone provides easy ways to set up databases, but its flexibility also means that if you don't understand how databases are created and used you may have trouble getting the results you want. The downloadable examples can be helpful, but organizations will still need to edit those.

Data management is a huge need for us, and Kintone excels in this. It has cut down on the amount of time we spend entering and re-entering information in various places and has allowed us to automatically reference specific information when and where we want it. I use the Related Records feature in almost every app to provide windows and one-click links into relevant records in other apps quickly and easily. We also use a lot of color-coding with their Conditional Formatting plugin to quickly highlight missing and important data, project stages, etc.
