We are using ON24 across multiple departments to hold webinars and virtual events. This helps with lead generation as well as educational sessions for our existing customers. We integrate with our CRM, and we have multiple events each month using the platform. Our annual customer conference was shifted from an in-person one to a virtual event in 2020. We used ON24 to host the conference, which we were then able to expand into multiple "seasons" of content that were released over the course of 6 months after the initial live conference dates.
  • Audience Console Customization
  • Streaming capabilities
  • Analytics
  • The current Presentation Manager UI looks outdated
  • There are limitations to the number of presenters
  • The available audience console designs are not responsive
  • The platform updates for ease of use and session formats are slow to be incorporated
  • The session settings are not always clearly defined and cannot be changed within 2 hours of a live time
  • Some edits are unavailable to users so adjustments require reaching out to tech support each time
  • The video archiving feature for sessions does not work well
  • The screenshare function requires an additional browser extension and device permissions, and has not worked well for us in a live setting
  • After a simulive presentation, the only option for the presenters to do a live Q&A segment is via conference phone bridge--no video.
  • Streamed video resolution and bitrate are very low
ON24 is well suited for controlled, one-way communications to an audience of any scale. Their simulive functionality works well and it is easy to duplicate sessions, create branded templates, and integrate with CRM tools. It is not currently as well suited for events with lots of people on camera at one time, or the need for high resolution video playback. The presenter console is a separate screen and does not look the same as the audience view, so you won't be able to turn audience members into presenters or shift permissions at the drop of a hat.

We produce technical training sections for customers through ON24.
We use for the marketing department and hotline.
  • Have more than one presenter.
  • Make polls for live lives.
  • Leave documents for download.
  • Does not let you have more than one presenter in the OnDemand version.
  • Has no option to divide participants into groups.
  • Not an easy tool for beginners to use.
It is an excellent platform, but currently there are platforms that are simpler to use and have more functionality.

This tool was primarily vetted to be in place of our in person Annual Sales and Partner Summits. These take place globally and are executed by each region. My hope was the tool would stick and we as a marketing team could find ways to use this in partner onboard and sales enablement as well. Some of which is in the works now!
  • Audience experience.
  • Widgets/customization.
  • Reporting.
  • One consistent point person. We have had several CSMs and AMs.
  • Web cam/speaker issues.
  • Breakouts (now available but have yet to try).
  • China capabilities.
  • Additional language support.
ON24 is our go-to tool for externally facing webinars and presentation where only one way communication is necessary. The on brand look, user friendly interface, and reporting make this ideal for our partner webinars and sales summits.

Where we don't find this tool useful is for our internal sales enablement sessions where we want to allow back and forth communication. The breakout rooms is a step in the right direction for this need and we look forward to trying it.

ON24 is utilized across several divisions of our company as a webinar platform. Some of our clients also utilize ON24s content engagement center. The main reason we utilize this platform is to use content to generate leads.
  • GDPR compliant registration form.
  • Registration forms accommodate dynamic and custom questions.
  • Attendee view is professional looking.
  • Attendee questions cannot be edited or rearranged on the backend.
  • The backend conference line isn't available until live day, so you have to use a different line to hold a training call.
  • No background blur option for webcam events.
ON24 is not suitable if the speakers want to interact audibly or visibly with the audience.

It's used for all webinars we use across the company. It's primarily used by our Marketing organization. It addresses the problem of needing to deliver virtual events and demos online. I primarily use it for our demo program that we deliver for prospects across all segments.
  • Reliable platform.
  • Ability to ask question.
  • It's an antiquated system.
  • I don't have the ability to run analytics across multiple webinar events. It's frustrating to have to look at webinar events one at a time.
  • The ON24 internal page takes a long time to load.
It's well suited for webinar events you want to produce over and over again. It's less intuitive to use if you're running it for the first time.

We use it globally to run webinars across multiple marketing functions. It has good interface which the attendees can see and interact with the webinar organizers. The tool is easy to use and the best thing is the support, whenever we had any questions the chat support was quick in responding and helped to solve our issues.
  • Chat support.
  • Nice user interface.
  • User engagement.
  • Less clarity of new feature roll outs.
  • Analytics section could be improved.
  • Engagement needs to be more flexible.
When we have a huge team of marketers which have to do webinars globally on a large scale, that is the best use case scenario.

We are using it for one of our large clients, EXIM Bank, to help promote their programs and get leads/customers.
  • Reporting is great and easy to understand.
  • Love the new elite platform.
  • Setup is great.
  • On-demand archiving afterwards can take awhile.
  • We've had issues with polls not launching correctly.
  • I'd like to be able to have more than 10 people join on the presenter/producer end.
It's easy to use, reporting is great and accurate, and we've had minimal issues during live events.

Used by marketing for hosting webinars globally to target audiences.
  • Full service webinar facility.
  • Ability to brand webinar templates is good.
  • Robust platform.
  • Too complex. Other webinar providers have a much simpler interface.
  • Not exactly intuitive to use. Fine if you are a 'pro' user, but too much head-scratching involved if you are not.
  • Daylight saving time (GMT vs BST) is a pain in the rear and caused one of our webinars not to run. Just format the time as the local time on the day of the webinar - much simpler
Good for pro users who want lots of customisation and are running big complex webinars.

Time consuming and not intuitive to use for those of us dipping in and out of it.

ON24 is used by the marketing department for digital events such as webinars and virtual conferences. It allows the marketing department to seamlessly deliver our message by video and audio to a large international audience whilst connecting integrating with our marketing automation platform. It provides a solid report after each event, which was lacking with our previous digital event software solution.
  • Reports post-event.
  • Different webinar formats.
  • Comprehensive online knowledge library.
  • Quick and easy live chat support.
  • Missing data in the downloaded Excel reports
  • Not enabling video when the simu-live webinar is finished
  • Not being able to edit the presentation notes without uploading the entire deck again
ON24 is a good tool for webinars, particularly since there are different types or formats on offer. It is also good for marketers like me who prefer a solid report on all aspects of a webinar such as how many attendees were engaged, who accessed engagement tools, what questions they asked, how many watched the on-demand recording, and so on. I also like the easy functionality of copying a previous webinar and using a console template.

Our company does a variety of digital marketing and web consulting across a variety of clients. The digital marketing department uses ON24 primarily for one client in the government sector, although we have used it on occasion for others. The main client's marketing strategy as a whole is inbound relying upon a constant stream of educational and thought leadership campaigns. ON24 allows us to create webinars rapidly using a repeatable process with consistent results; we have created around 80 since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The audience tools allow customization that can suit each individual webinar's goals.
  • The data supported by the registration page are a value add for potential registrants.
  • The reporting is infinitely valuable in tracking leads and engagement, particularly across the bulk of webinars we do.
  • Our guest participants often have connection or usage issues. We have implemented a dry run policy to account for this, but sometimes it requires our IT team to support it.
  • The PowerPoint upload process is slow, can be confusing (why can the last file never be deleted?), and sometimes alters the design of the deck.
  • While we like that presenters are saved so their information and photo can be reused, there is no way to access that universal information to update it.
ON24 has done well for the standard webinars we produce- a low number of participants, a structured time, single topics, etc. However, it has not been as useful for atypical webinars - those with a high number of speakers, those with multiple panels or sessions in which the same registration page is desired, etc. In those cases we have had to consider other platforms.

ON24 is being used as an online events platform for our webinars and online conferences. It is primarily being used by the INET Live Events team, but is also available to each department to use. ON24 is great as an events platform as it allows for additional content, not just a video, to be seen by attendees all at once.
  • Resources: Offers additional reading for our event attendees.
  • Engagement Hub: Provides a "one stop shop" for all of our content.
  • How to documentation: once you know where to find it/what it's all called, there's an answer for just about every question I've had readily available.
  • Pricing structures/transparency: I have no idea what's an add on/what comes with our previously purchased service until I hit a pay wall. I wish there was an easy way to see what is included and what's an add on in an upfront manner.
  • Uploading a recording to an event: We like to clean up event recordings after they happen on ON24; I hate that I can't take that recording and then upload it to the ON24 event. It means there's no longevity for the event platform/audience view.
  • Audience on video/audio: We'd like to have the features of the breakout rooms as an option within the main event, so audience members could also be seen and ask questions directly. (Note: Breakout room functionality isn't robust enough for us yet, though, so we're not going to be using it yet.)
Works Well:
  • Events with a few speakers
  • Guides for training/education
  • Ehub: Showing multiple seasons of content

Doesn't Work Well:
  • Events where we want everyone to be seen/heard.
  • Events that include people who are not tech savvy.
  • Events where you'd like a cleaner version to be shown after the live recording.

For the centralized marketing organization -- so across the enterprise but for external marketing/thought leadership events.
  • Great attendee experience.
  • Most elegant user experience as a webinar producer/speaker -- integration of slides, polls, videos, screen share -- very seamless compared to other platforms (e.g. Webex, GoToMeeting).
  • Data management - very detailed data for marketing/sales follow-up and lead generation.
  • Unable to use backgrounds when presenting.
  • The captioning/transcript feature is terrible.
  • The advanced reporting tool has too many restrictions/limitations.
  • The Target engagement hub is way too expensive for the functionality offered.
Good for very large external events where you want the audience in listen-only mode, but want to take questions via online chat, and engage them with polls, videos, demos/screen share.

Not good for smaller, more intimate meetings/events where you want everyone to be visible and be able to speak (more like a Zoom call).

We use On24 to conduct professional development webinars and conferences. Sessions are executed by our Professional Development team and our Marketing team buildings the sessions and conference hubs.
  • Conference hub.
  • Templated structure.
  • Easy to use widgets.
  • Frequent enhancements to platform.
  • Automated messaging features.
  • No way to easily remove all sessions from an old conference hub.
  • Scaling for screen sizes is not responsive, although an update for this is may be in the works.
  • Additional features can be very expensive.
We have used ON24 for several virtual conferences with several thousand attendees as well as smaller webinars with less than 100 - it is well suited for either option. Currently, the platform is best suited for a speaker driven session, not for meetings where all involved need to have the ability to present (like a Zoom or Teams meeting).

Chartwell produces weekly webinars to bring Utilities around the US and Canada together to share best practices and other knowledge. These are typically attended by 20 to 200 utility professionals. When I arrived in December of 2019 we were using a very outdated version of Webex to conduct these webinars. We also produce monthly "council calls," which is more of an open discussion setup, so Webex's ability to mute and unmute over 200 people was helpful as we typically had anywhere from 50 to 200 on the call. After experiencing endless problems with our attendees being able to download, access, and navigate Webex, we searched and searched for a platform that would look and function better. Zoom was off the table since our attendees have strict government regulations on what they can and cannot use. After trying another platform with TERRIBLE bandwidth issues, we found ON24. Since we cannot see or verbally speak with other attendees, we moved our monthly council calls over to Teams. The switch was timely as COVID hit and with the help of ON24 made the decision to pivot our 300-person conference in June AND our 500-person conference in November to a virtual setting.
  • It is completely aesthetically customizable.
  • It is very user friendly.
  • It has great bandwidth and rarely malfunctions during live events (1 in 100 times).
  • It is easy to navigate on the production side.
  • It collects fantastic, helpful data.
  • I would LOVE a time warning function in Elite Studio to allow me as a producer to politely let my speaker know they only have 10min, 5min, 2min, etc. and they need to wrap it up.
  • Building the console out for various screen-sizes is a challenge. I wish there were a way to have everything built on a small, laptop view expand to fit any larger screen the same way instead of remaining the same size but having awkward blank space.
  • It's so small, but I begin every tech-run explaining to my speakers how to minimize the slides in Elite Studio and make it more of a 50/50 split screen. It would be great if that was the default setup. The issue is that when I try to teach them to highlight and jump to a slide they are typically on a laptop and their screen is so small that they need to scroll down to see the "move to slide" (not sure that verbiage is correct but you get the gist.) This is hard to explain remotely to them so most of them give up and don't know how to do it.
If your company is looking for a platform to conduct an event that you want to brand and present in an attractive way with the option to link out to company websites and documents, test or poll your viewers, allow (or don't) your viewers to text-chat with one another, and so much more, all from a web-based site that doesn't require you to download a single thing, this is the best platform there is. It is also a very user-friendly experience for speakers and producers. The customization and ability to make it work for your company are virtually limitless with a little creative thinking.

If you are looking for a platform that is all about seeing and verbally hearing others and less about a presentation, this may not be what you need.

ON24 is being used for the firm's online virtual seminar events, across our three offices.
  • The branding/customizing experience is very professional.
  • The reporting analytics are excellent.
  • The customizable view for audience members.
  • Sometimes the PowerPoint presentation uploads with duplicate slides. It is very tedious to go through and cross check which slides are duplicated.
  • When you download the recording (single file archive) to an mp4 file with the "entire console view" instead of just slides and video, the mp4 file shows a very cropped and low quality image.
ON24 is well suited for virtual conferences and webinars, especially ones with heavy content. I would say ON24 is not appropriate for virtual social events, especially - of course - where attendees are meant to be able to communicate with one another.

We use ON24 to deliver professional development courses ranging from a traditional webinar to 3-day multi-track, multi-session conferences. We've been using ON24 for almost 3 years and in March of 2020 used it to quickly move all our training virtually (including a multi-session conference we had to move virtually in less than 3 weeks).
  • The ability to customize to your brand.
  • ON24 is receptive to customer feedback and adds new features regularly.
  • Seamless registration and APIs allow you to integrate ON24 with many systems.
  • Add-ons like the Hub and Target allow you to run larger events easily.
  • Limited networking capabilities for attendees.
  • Not able to have live video Q&A for a previously recorded session.
ON24 offers an impressive array of features. They are constantly developing the product, but oftentimes new features are an additional fee (like live captioning and breakout rooms). For some of our pain points, like limited networking options, we've had to use third-party solutions that don't integrate well with ON24. This works but isn't always the best customer experience. Overall, ON24 allowed us to move all of our in-person training virtually very quickly during the pandemic. It works well and the service is reliable.

ON24 is used by Valeo Service to educate and train a variety of people interested in or working in the automotive sector. The webinar training platform ensures we can deliver professional train both live and on-demand focusing on various areas of the business. These include product demonstration training, detailed presentations on new technology that has both launched and being created by Valeo, as well as best fitment practice advice or a whole array of products to help users and fitters avoid warranty issues and secondary fitments. This is a great tool used by both our Marketing team and our TechCare Training team.
  • Offers multiple ways of presenting webinars. Such as; live, on demand and semi live.
  • Allows you to upload documents and training material that attendees can download and take away.
  • Has an excellent chat service where you can speak to ON24 staff about any issues you may be experiencing.
  • Improved use of animations in slide deck transfer uploads.
  • Improved use of videos that are embedded into presentation slides.
  • The ability to accept video formats other than MP4.
It is well suited for uploads of ready-built presentations and for people already trained in Microsoft Powerpoint who want to present to an audience via webinar. Scenarios that require live presentations and demonstrations are less suited to ON24 and would require a different platform or a different approach to the training that needs to be delivered.

The main use of ON24 is within the Marketing department, the complete set up of webinars and being the host of a webinar are all part of the Marketing team. The speakers of our webinars are colleagues from the Marketing department and also colleagues from other departments are joining. One of the problems it addresses is to cover some brand awareness and lead generation.
  • The webinar experience: As a user being able to move all the widgets as how you like to see them (moving them to another part of the screen, re-sizing).
  • The quality: Thinking of how smoothly it runs as a visitor, sound, and video without interruptions.
  • Easy set up of webinars, registration page, emails, and the webinar itself.
  • Hubspot integration: Really basic fields of data, the detailed information needs to be imported manually. Also, the standard fields need to be mapped, there is no native integration with Hubspot.
  • The package they sell: Selling a package with hundreds of fields, however, they are not available. After speaking with a lot of contacts to get it solved, we now have some fields automated.
  • Customer service: Could be better to get the setup and Hubspot integration solved. We really needed to push them to help solve issues.
In general, ON24 is a great webinar platform, using the platform is really easy and the quality is really good (besides a 4-5 second delay of a new slide). Also, the many functionalities it offers (especially compared to their competitors). The package you buy, ask questions if there are for example hundreds of fields of data that can be integrated or are there just a few and the rest needs to be done manually, or you will need to buy an expensive additional package.

We are using it across the organization to host our client events. My department puts on the events on behalf of other groups in the firm. It addresses the business problem of how we can reach global audiences, particularly in the absence of our in-person events.
  • Clean end user interface.
  • Not an outrageous number of issues for audience to view presentations.
  • Setting up a single event is easy (minus the hub look and feel—that's a pain).
  • Ease of use for scaled event building (many events of similar type)—not everything copies over when you copy an event, plus, the process of moving events/materials to a hub is also pretty manual. We need to be able to do more things in bulk since we have hundreds of events under a single hub.
  • Data reporting is glitchy and is manual when pulling reports for multiple events under the same hub.
  • Preparing the orientation of windows on the backend of a presentation is an annoying process and things do not move fluidly or help you center them/align them with other windows, etc.
  • Transcripts should not cost $750—that is ridiculous.
  • Cvent integration is not meeting our needs.
  • Every event, we get complaints of the feed cutting out.
  • The presenter portal feels a bit bulky; people seem to get confused pretty easily when we try to acclimate them to it.
More suited for single, stand-alone one-off webinars. Less appropriate for our use—large 100+ webinar conferences all joined together under a hub.

Higher-level thought leadership events/webinars where brand and experience are most important. It allows us to deliver a highly targeted experience to prospects and customers while maintaining insights and control into the engagement.
  • Provides great user console experience flexibility (customization).
  • Incredible service and support.
  • Stream and service stability is top notch.
  • Speaker/panelist interface and log-on process: still too fragmented and kludgy for such a mature product.
  • Console building tools need an update and more mature functionality as well—too easy to mess things up because the tools are so manually intense.
  • ALLOW US TO RESET EVENTS THAT HAVE PASSED THAT WERE NEVER RUN! Sometimes we mess up and list an incorrect date, then publish the login URLs. If we go "past" the original date specified the event (not yet run) should be reschedulable into the future.
  • Redirect functionality: If for whatever reason we need to abandon one event and create a new one, the ability to redirect registrants from the old event to the new one would be key, and it's really an obvious one here.
Again, it supports our more branded, thought-leadership events where spit-polish is so very important.
For smaller events where we want to share demos on an ad hoc basis, we'll still use WebEx.

ON24 is being used as an online platform to provide product webinars and CE (continue Education) credits for the advisor. It is used within the department. It also help with providing the advisor education to over 60000 advisors across the country. We use ON24 for also some SME webcast. We have done a few video webcasts as well.
  • Excellent customer service, our account manager is great.
  • Good platform within the industry.
  • User friendly in terms of customer experience.
  • Video webcast needs to be improved... the video with large speaker icon is not good.
  • Also need more customer tailoring (the old WCC allows admin to do more stuff).

I think ON24 is a great vendor to have for webcasting, it does its job for sure. The normal PowerPoint webcast works great with all these widgets for you to choose and add to the marketing side of things, the lead generation is also good. I would say they need more improvement on the video webcast, it is still not perfect compare to Zoom, MS Teams and other platforms. Archive and other editing can also be enhanced (compared to other company), they allow admin to do video editing on the platform back end.

ON24 is used on a regular basis to run webinars for our customer base. We host around 8 webinars each week on a variety of topics to support the teachers that use our platform. There are 3 people in the marketing team who set up the webinars on On24, however we have many staff members at the company who host and run the webinars. ON24 is a good platform for us as it is fully customisable with our brand, easy to use and with the ability to pre-record Simu-live webinars, it allows us to deliver excellent-quality professional development across many time zones.
  • Fully customisable interface - giving a great user experience.
  • The ON24 Support is fantastic, the live chat feature makes troubleshooting an issue a breeze.
  • The Advanced Analytics provide deep insight to our audience, allowing us to continually improve.
  • There always appears to be a bit of an issue when uploading PowerPoints to webinars. Extra slides added, etc.
  • Sometimes the sound cuts in and out, presenters need to refresh - not ideal when running a live session.
ON24 is a great platform to provide webinars. It is easy to use, provides great analytics and the user experience is good. We find ON24 great for hosting webinars with our customer base. It is best used for a passive audience where you do not require audience interaction. We find that for more collaborative events we would use alternative platforms.

ON24 is being used by both the Sales and Marketing teams. We use it for our virtual global sales kick-offs and demand generation webinars. We needed a webinar platform that can be synced to Marketo, our primary marketing automation tool. Because of the pandemic, we had to switch from physical events to virtual events and that's where ON24 came in.
  • Good platform for webinars.
  • Has lead scoring + webinar engagement scoring.
  • Has all the widgets needed to run a webinar.
  • Webinar support is expensive.
  • UX experience when requesting for a paid service needs improvement.
If you're looking for a webinar platform that can provide all the features you would be needing to run a successful webinar, then ON24 is the one for you. It has built-in widgets that you can use to enrich the experience of your audience. The whole webinar creation is also fairly intuitive and easy. It can be synced to your platform for lead generation. They also have webinar engagement and lead scoring that's very useful for the sales team in qualifying leads into the funnel.
