We currently use it for our sales team, and it is managed by the finance and sales ops team. I am in the finance team, and since we don't have a compensation analyst, I, as a member of the FP&A team, handle all incentives. It helps automate our sales incentives process and reduces manual errors.
  • Reduces manual errors by helping double check.
  • It's easy to use for the sales team to see their targets and attainment.
  • It helps keep everything centralized on one system.
  • It reduces the use of manual spreadsheets.
Cons
  • It is still very manual, and requires a lot of uploading.
  • It can be very finicky.
  • It requires a lot of training for the admin.
  • It's very limited in transferring data between the different modules.
I keep feeling like there is a lot of great potential with Xactly Incent. However, it is still very manual and quite labor intensive for an admin. The process is very time-consuming, and can have many errors very quickly. It is great for the sales team, and they seem to enjoy it, but as an admin, it is only really helpful in reducing manual errors because there are so many checks.

It is the software we use in my company for commissions. There we can have visibility of the deals we closed, the commission attached to each deal, and visbility of our quoted split by quarter.
  • Visibility of all the commissions. Per quarter and per opportunity
  • Visibility of how much we've achieved in % and amount of our annual quota.
  • Visibility of our quota overlay, based on the uplifts we've made
Cons
  • The way they organize the detailed information of each opp.
  • The filters they use to search for an opp.
  • It could include more details about your profile and how you calculate the commissions.
I love the way you visualize the overall commission dashboard, the dollar amount of what I closed, and the numbers divided by Q and month. However, when analyzing the information in more depth, it seems confusing and complicated to me.

Xactly Incent® is good tool to handle the bulk data . good at plan document routing. It handle calculations and shows statements in detail. But it fail at reporting part. Building the custom report is big task need to do back and fortth with Xactly Incent® consultant. It is not flexible in terms of statement view modification. and plug in with other applications. AI capabilities are missing in it. However itis good tool for any organization having bulk data to process.

  • Configuration part could be made easier. so that Admin will not require consultant's help whenever there is change
  • Sequencing of batch processing gives trouble many times. if we miss to allign correct sequence at the time of batch processing

We use it to calculate the sales commission for all the GTM representatives. It was implemented to calculate and display commissions for Sales, pre-sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and support staff. It has an estimator, a Dashboard for overview and a Team Dashboard & individual incentive statement. It also has Target acceptance module to ensure no discrepancy in Targets assigned in Power BI & the Xactly Incent®.

We use Xactly Incent® to track OTE, comp, quota, variable comp and define compensation strategies. it has simplified and streamline our end-to-end incentive compensation programs both for sales and services organization. We use it in conjunction with Anaplan that sets the GRD, and targets by different lines of business. Have been using it for over 5 years at my current company
