Quosal is an integral portion of our daily operations. The amount of benefit we have gained and continue to gain from using Quosal continues to outweigh any of the minor issues we experience. The time we've invested in Quosal, while significant, has been wholly worthwhile.

Netsuite CRM is used to manage leads, contacts, opportunities, and to prepare itemized quotations. It allows us to forecast and to track activity and quantity of work among our sales directors. We also manage our cases and support issues in NetSuite CRM.

SFDC is great for lead funnels or basic quotes but if you need a more specialized or comprehensive quoting ability, SteelBrick gives you that option.

If you're looking for a template repository that will enable your sales team to initiate agreements or to be able to track the status of contracts in process, then I believe Apttus is a useful tool. Anything more in depth than that would be pointless.

We have almost 100% user adoption with BigMachines now, and everyone is accustomed to using it, so we want to stick with what works. The software gets the job we need done easily and with minimal hassle, but is also easy to setup for a lot more advanced quotes and proposals if needed.

It's a 50-50 likelihood. I'd like to see the product flaws all fixed and the on-line reliability improved. If I find something that works better I'll leap at it to avoid the same frustrations.

NetSuite is great for the small business that does very simple orders processing and accounting. For everyone I suggest you look very long and in depth at all of your options and find the best solution that meets your business model... If you want to proceed with "Best-Better-Good" proposal, check out the QuoteValet function before you proceed. There are ways of making it happen in QuoteWerks but I don't know if there are better alternatives out there. However, it works really well if you are generating one proposal.

Unless CPQ is available on cloud or available as platform as service, I am less likely to consider it again. The initial cost involved is high and also the time required for that.

We feel there are too many additional costs to NetSuite to make it "our own" ...Not having complete control of our customer data worries us, and the slowness or "lag" in the shopping cart is effecting our checkout flow.

I really enjoy the product. I think it has a very clean approach to the CPQ space. Many small businesses will be able to use this "right out of the box" with only some basic configuration changes.

I was using BigMachines with Salesforce and I would strongly suggest skipping CPQ and customizing Salesforce instead. If that is not sufficient, if your product catalog is large and you add a large amount of different products per opportunity, I would suggest scanning the market for other options.
