We use SurveyMonkey for both gathering feedback from our employees, as well as our clients. It is a great way for us to communicate with and get feedback from employees before making a business decision that may have an impact on them - or just to see how they feel about certain aspects or changes within the business.
  • Easy to use interface.
  • Robust design features for survey variations.
  • Great free plan.
  • More customization for forms colors/design on free plan.
  • Analytics and reporting could be revamped.
  • UX could be improved.
SurveyMonkey really excels in the survey design aspect of the surveying process. They have so many different question types that you can use to create your questions. The analytics and reporting are basic but ok for those wanting simple insights into their survey answers. Their free plan should suffice for any business that needs the fundamentals of surveying - i.e. survey builder, sharing, and viewing answers.

[In my experience,] the SurveyMonkey team decided to push through the renewal without our consent, and [I believe they] are now providing false information concerning the renewal conditions. [In my opinion, you should] please note that their conditions do not respect Consumer Laws. [I feel that] this is considered fraud. [Because of our experience,] we recently decided to cancel our renewal subscription because our teams using the survey functionalities [feel that] the product [is] archaic and very costly for what it provides. [I believe] other products in the market do a better job for less. We are now turning to other products and companies that are worthy of our business. [Personally,] we do not tolerate fraud and misuse of consumer conditions.
  • Building a question
  • [I believe that the] renewal conditions [could be done differently].
  • [I think that the] survey functionality beyond the questions [is] archaic and dysfunctional.
  • [In my opinion, the] graphs are rudimentary and are not usable when presenting results.
[I think that] SurveyMonkey is too basic to actually permit any use. The functionalities that [are] interesting are very costly and [I think that] with the technology evolution of the past 2 years, we consider SurveyMonkey a market lagger.

This software is being used by my school district, across all schools, mainly for feedback in professional development classes but also from principals to teachers as a way of receiving multiple feedback.
  • Makes it simple to use, answer questions and submit the answers.
  • Provides good generalizations according to the feedback received.
  • Is a simple way of accumulating opinions about a variety of topics while not being too invasive.
  • Provide some ways to remedy the data accumulated by the administrator.
  • Making the questions more engaging with a gif or an image to encourage usage.
  • Keeping the surveys to a minimum of 3-5 main questions is needed in order to reduce the likelihood of non-participants.
This software is very well suited for situations where a group of individuals is being asked about their work experience, meeting, professional development, training, etc.. in any way while it is desired by the admin to alter the way content is delivered for better results to educators, etc…
This software would be less appropriate in a setting where questions from only a few individuals are taken, making it easier to tell which person likely answered which survey.

SurveyMonkey is an easy to use service by the company and consumer. Individuals on marketing or account management utilize the service to get feedback and/or reviews about their experience with our product and how well we're servicing them.

The surveys are both easy and fun to build on SurveyMonkey. With simple 1 to 10 scale question, multiple choice, short answers, and more the process of building a survey is very fluid. This translates well for a product that any type of individual without computer experience could easily compete.
  • Quick surveys

  • Easy
  • Fun
  • Entertaining

  • Better marketing to consumers
  • Custom URL's
  • Consumer login to see their surveys
SurveyMonkey is great to get quick and also detailed feedback based on recent customer interactions. A strong feature is the ability to incorporate surveys into email followup campaigns. Consumers tend to recognize this is easy and worthwhile for them to complete.
While you can get a sense of a Net Promoter score based on 1 to 10 responses , I wouldn't recommend this being used to rank a company.

We developed 360 evaluations for our team using SurveyMonkey. The software made it easy for us to email the survey to each team member and really gave us some valuable insight from our team. We have also used SurveyMonkey for pulse points on our team's overall engagement with our hospital. We also used SurveyMonkey to develop surveys with our clients to determine interest in various products/services.
  • SurveyMonkey templates have made it very user-friendly. It is very efficient to create a survey.
  • I love that they have multiple ways to answer questions. For example, short answer, paragraph, and radio buttons to name a few.
  • The surveys are very easy to share. You can import a large list of email addresses or free type just a few.
  • I like that you can test the survey before sending it out live. I send it to myself to verify how it will look and feel to the end-user.
  • I would like to have more customizable options for branding it to our hospital colors. Some survey options allow you to enter html color codes. SurveyMonkey allows you to change colors and you have to pick from selected options.
  • Embedding the surveys into a webpage, like WordPress is not as seamless as other services.
We have been able to utilize SurveyMonkey in a variety of ways for our hospital. We conducted internal staff polling and 360 reviews. We also utilized it for larger projects by sending out surveys to a large list of clients. I have used SurveyMonkey in both large and small organizations and it seems to fit well. The price point is great too, there is a lot of options in the free version and for a small fee small businesses have the same capabilities as larger organizations.

SurveyMonkey is being used across our organization to conduct market research and gather customer feedback. It is also used to gather employee feedback within the organization by filing out surveys that are shared across teams. Whether simple or complex surveys are created within minutes and reaching millions of respondents to collect and analyze data has become hassle free through SurveyMonkey.
  • A wide question bank that offers customization questions of different types such as market research, customer satisfaction, employee feedback, demographics etc.
  • The surveys can be customized to match our brand by adding the company logo, company name and images.
  • One handy URL to collect responses from millions of respondents.
  • More options to customize the look of the surveys for a full custom branding
  • They should be able to offer live support within their site for faster communication with users.
SurveyMonkey is appropriate for creating online surveys from scratch and even while on the go that are used to access a huge number of respondents who provide answers that are needed to make critical decisions. There is an option of using a URL that can be linked to the company website, Facebook account, emails and more.

In our organization of over 200,000 members, we use SurveyMonkey to build surveys, forms, polls, and quizzes using a variety of question types (e.g., initial proposals, check-ins with our members during the pandemic, assessment of how they are using our website). Each chapter also uses it for specific process, and some use it to gain a quick assessment of an inquiry.
  • Design themes are user friendly
  • Logo customization is a plus
  • Ability to create a custom template is advantageous among 11 different offices
  • Provides more dynamic collaboration
  • Free plan could offer a bit more so users can see the benefit to go with a premium plan
  • More survey templates
SurveyMonkey is a tool that offers any novice almost 200 survey templates. The user is able to view each one and see which one is most appropriate for their intended use. Their surveys are presented very well and are very well thought out, which maximizes the audience response quantity and quality.

We specifically use SurveyMonkey to get quick and easy feedback from employees. For example, discussions around future work from home opportunities throughout the pandemic, willingness to participate in different culture committee events, and general feedback on technology roll outs. We use it as needed as opposed to something on a regular basis.
  • Quick.
  • Easy.
  • User friendly.
  • Security - I haven't spent much time exploring their security, but by default would not put sensitive information in any of the surveys.
  • Notifications - I think the logistics of setting up notifications as a survey creator are a little clunky.
It's appropriate to get quick, short responses from employees/end users. There are great options for varied answer types (i.e. multiple choice, drop downs, text responses) that allow it to suit most needs. I think the most important thing is to keep surveys as concise as possible in order to solicit the best responses.

SurveyMonkey has been used to provide surveys to users of software applications developed by our company. It is currently only used by the Software Development Department. It provides a turnkey solution for putting together comprehensive surveys and questions, and the full lifecycle and feedback loop for those questions and the users that answer them. It also provides comprehensive statistics on the results of the surveys deployed.
  • Allows users to build surveys, including custom survey questions and/or survey templates for common applications.
  • Provides a wide variety of distribution methods and means of collecting answers.
  • Provides comprehensive results including graphs and diagrams that help interpret the results.
  • Friendly reminders to help target audiences complete their survey.
  • Customized survey forms that can include company branding/style.
  • Wide variety of survey methods/question types (i.e. scale of 1 to 10, multiple answers, etc.)
  • Simple surveys are free to design and deploy, but more sophisticated options require payment.
SurveyMonkey provides really simple tools to build, deploy, and interpret any kind of survey. It even provides suggestions and analyzes questions posed in your surveys to make sure it fits your strategy and goal towards interpreting results. It offers a wide variety of business categories to choose from in order to develop specific, well-targeted surveys for the appropriate audience. It's a complete, turn-key, solution for building and managing surveys and obtaining the feedback you need.

My organization uses SurveyMonkey for B2C clients to survey current and potential customers to gauge interest in possible expansions to the product line or preferred versions of new product packaging; for B2B clients, we use SurveyMonkey to do occasional check-ins with customers to make sure their needs/our services are aligned, and also to get feedback on events to make them more impactful the next time around.
  • Intuitive survey-building interface with many possible question types
  • Allows to pay for targeted survey respondents if you don't have audience already
  • Multiple methods for distributing services, makes easy to disseminate
  • Not enough on the design-customization side to fully brand surveys in the way you'd always want to
  • Pricing models are not always well-fitted to business needs or company size
  • Customer service can be subpar
If you reach the stage in the decision-making process where you have a number of possible right answers before you, SurveyMonkey is well-suited to collecting data that'll help you make a more informed decision. For example, my agency will use SurveyMonkey to send out possible packaging-and-label designs for a forthcoming product to an audience of our client's most loyal customers, and thereby find out which packaging concepts are the most likely to hit home with our target audience.

We mainly use SurveyMonkey throughout the organization to carry out surveys where everyone participates and contributes their personal opinion on various issues that concern us in general, regarding the organization of work and commercial plans. With surveys, we revolutionize the way we collect information, it is now more effective, speeding up data collection and processing. Now with the COVID-19, we can do remote work and be able to follow up on employee and customer feedback.
  • It is fairly affordable with respect to the features it offers.
  • I can create as many survey quantities as I want without limitations.
  • It also provides a wide variety of tools to configure and customize forms, with several languages available, predesigned templates and different text formats that make the experience more comfortable.
  • It has a limitation in the integrations of applications.
  • It needs a more interactive interface, its structure is somewhat boring.
  • The file formats that can be added to surveys are few.
It is really easy to create surveys, access all the information I need and speed up the collection of data, but on the other hand the experience would improve if they expand the features they offer, even if they ask to charge a higher price for that.

We have used SurveyMonkey on many occasions within our organization. The biggest purpose we use SurveyMonkey is to get a general vote on an idea, activity, etc. and we want to send it out to the team while keeping the votes anonymous. Examples of when we have used it is to determine where we should do our summer or holiday party, when we do fun superlative games within the office, or when we are decided on heavier topics within the office and want a general idea of what the team would like while maintaining their confidentiality.
  • It does a great job by tailoring what you use it for, whether it's in college to do a survey for a project, see what the team wants to do for activities in the workplace, or even propose a new change to the company and get an idea of how people will react to this.
  • I love that the answers provided by the users remain anonymous, this allows you to get an accurate answer.
  • SurveyMonkey can be used in so many ways and I think so many people can use it for a variety of reasons, it'd be interesting to see how else they can grow into a new space.
  • When waiting for results, since it is anonymous it doesn't tell you who has not completed the survey. If there was a way for it to constantly be in your inbox to prompt the person to complete it quickly, that'd be great.
  • We have used SurveyMonkey to play superlatives in the office. For example, you can ask any question and then throw the names of your work colleagues as the options and then everyone will have to pick who they think fits that superlative. This makes for lots of fun!
  • We use it when deciding what type of activity our team would like to do at work outings.
  • I've also used it in the past for miscellaneous college projects.

SurveyMonkey is being used by our team to create surveys and deploy them on other channels. They use it for collecting data for various types of research being done for diverse industries. Since SM is such a complete and flexible tool it makes it very convenient to be applied in many industries and situations.
  • Lots of question types and customization.
  • AI to rate your survey quality.
  • Bad support.
  • Lack of white labeling regarding domain names.
It's a great and powerful platform and compared to its competitors it's an easy pick. It is good for both small and large companies. The analytics part of it is fine, but since we don't use it much there is not much to be said about it.

SurveyMonkey was used to develop and distribute surveys that we would us to gather, feedback, data, opinions and many other data types in order to conduct research and analyst for a myriad of companies. We also used SurveyMonkey to get quick insights of opinions on internal questions as well.

Used mainly internally to survey usage and satisfaction with the organization's system, mainly around training and knowledge. Also, from time to time, to survey customers satisfaction.
  • Easy to build from scratch, the wizard approach takes you through steps.
  • Easy to collect answers: a really easy way to distribute the survey as needed.
  • Quick analysis as responses are sent because managers want 'early results,' so having the statistics nicely ready right away is good.
  • UI is too loaded; there's a mix of the functions, "added value" info (like tips and benchmark data) and upgrades offered.
  • Speed of the site could be better. Not that it is extremely slow, but if work a lot with the site, it might be painful.
  • Although the wizard approach for building surveys A-Z is great, it would also be great to have a shortcut to build and send short "quick and dirty" surveys.
Lately, we send customers satisfaction surveys. SurveyMonkey was a good tool for that, as all the requirements were met (question types, distributing, collecting the data, the ability to turn the collector on/off, and download the numbers to an XLS file). What we were missing though, is the option to send the same questions in different languages in a way that collect responses regardless of the language the survey is written in.

We use SurveyMonkey to collect data for our annual goals and objectives assessment. This software is easy to use and provides clear survey analysis while providing visually pleasing charts. By being web-based, we can access our data from any location. Many departments across our campus use SurveyMonkey for data collection.
  • Ease of use.
  • A wide variety of question types.
  • Can easily import email addresses.
  • The basic plan eliminated the option to export data. This should be free.
  • There needs to be a more cost-effective option for small businesses.

I have used SurveyMonkey for almost a year. I had heard some friends talk about it, but the first time had not paid much attention. Then on another occasion I was with them asking them for some way to be able to have more contact with the visitors of my web page (at that time I had a page about literature) and to be able to know in a better way what things should improve and also get their opinions about some classic terror. My first experience with the product was very good. The truth is that I had been looking for videos and reading about this platform, so I had no problem creating my account and conducting my first survey. Currently I still use it, and although I no longer have my literature web page (I do not have much time), I have a friend who is working in an independent publishing house in South America and he is also a writer, so I help him to viralize the sketches of covers or some new novels, and with SurveyMonkey you can do a small survey to know what people think about these topics.
  • It is very easy to create and modify surveys, you just have to make some clicks to be able to configure it and give it a personal touch.
  • The program tabulates and gives results automatically, so you should not break your head to create graphics.
  • If you are looking to make some simple surveys, you can use the free version without problem, which is really good since not everyone has money to invest in these programs.
  • Nothing in particular.
From my experience, SurveyMonkey works very well either using the free version or using the paid version, which is why the truth is it works wonders in almost all settings, whether you want to carry out a survey between the school's parents where your son attends, even a survey of skills in the workers of a company, I have even read that some teachers use it in their classes to corroborate the learning of their students. As far as a scenario where it does not work, I think there are not many, since most users, especially paid ones, can have the right data they need and can edit their accounts in their own way.

SurveyMonkey is mostly used by the marketing department to send out post-event surveys and product surveys. Other team members have access to SurveyMonkey as well to view the results of different surveys. The business problem that SurveyMonkey solves is that it gives us a way to collect and measure customer feedback so we can assess how we're doing in different areas. It also helps us collect information on our customers.
  • SurveyMonkey makes it really easy to create surveys and structure different questions. There's a good variety of different question types to select from.
  • The workflow of the survey builder makes a lot of sense and is very user-friendly. You don't need to be super tech savvy to use the platform.
  • I've been impressed with the reporting features that SurveyMonkey provides. It has multiple chart types to select from to view the survey responses. It also lets you export all the results as a CSV.
  • The design capabilities in SurveyMonkey are pretty limited. The templates they provide aren't great.
  • The survey logic flow could be better. If you want to use conditional logic in your survey you need to have all questions on their own pages. I prefer Qualtrics in this sense.
  • A lot of the main things you need require an upgrade, such as adding a logo to the survey. So any brand hoping to use SurveyMonkey will definitely need to upgrade their plan.
SurveyMonkey is appropriate for businesses doing a smaller number of basic surveys. It's great for standard customer satisfaction surveys or for collecting demographic information. It's fairly inexpensive and gets the job done.

SurveyMonkey is not for businesses that need to do more in-depth and complex research. In this scenario, a platform like Qualtrics would be much better suited. SurveyMonkey's features and capabilities are too basic to meet these needs.

We utilize SurveyMonkey for a variety of surveys we conduct, but mainly for our large spring survey. This program is being utilized specifically by CCR&R. SurveyMonkey allows for us to survey a wide number of providers in order to collect data for the following year.
  • A strength for SurveyMonkey is that it is very user friendly. If one should become stuck in an area, the guides that are provided work nicely.
  • Allowing for a large number of participants to be mailed at once is a huge plus.
  • Being able to offer providers a link directly, being FB friendly, is a HUGE plus for our business.
  • I truly feel there is room for improvement around the cost associated with an account. We are a 100% nonprofit, do not raise any type of funds, operating solely on a grant. Providing a deep discount for nonprofits like myself would get you further word of mouth than a review.
SurveyMonkey is well suited for someone collecting data for more than 10 questions. It's also suited for those that have a large population to survey.

Surveymonkey was used for internal evaluations. The surveys were analyzed to make research management improvements. The option of anonymity allowed us to receive additional comments for improvements. • Provides options for survey responses
  • Easy to share survey for responses via emails
  • Anonymous responses can be collected
  • Free version works well for basic creating survey, collection of data and analysis
  • You can track the progress of the survey
  • Exporting data in the free version
  • Does not allow collaborations
  • Questionnaire is limited to 10 questions
Surveymonkey is best for quick short surveys. It does provide you the option of additional comments. You may have to check the paid versions for longer research type surveys which have a lot more than 10 questions. You don't have to analyze the data. Surveymonkey does it for you and you can dig in deeper for some more details. Progress tracking is also a great feature. You don't have a survey closing date option.

Surveymonkey is the kind of web-service that suits everyone. We are currently using SurveyMonkey in our organization, especially by marketing and information technology departments, but I want to talk about my experience. I am individually using SurveyMonkey for collect responses from my staff and from clients. SurveyMonkey is the best survey app. It works so smoothly. And you can create your surveys quickly and you can share them in the way you like. The functions and tools are so useful.
  • So simple.
  • Quickest way to create surveys.
  • Friendly customer service.
  • Extra question types would be nice.
  • Features leads to add graphic stuff like videos.
  • There is no way to change your font type.
We first started using the free version of SurveyMonkey to collect the basic information. But there was a huge limitation to creating big surveys, and getting responses. And that wasn't enough for working in professional environment, so we changed our plan and we loved it. And price of SurveyMonkey is quite cost effective and reasonable. It helps us greatly. It is useful, and works properly. Now it's like a daily program for me. Almost every day I use it to create surveys about our needs.

Surveymonkey is used by several students because of its ease of use. So support is hardly needed from our support department. Teachers and professors mostly use another application for surveys and examination.

Focus on privacy is an issue. In the free account, SurveyMonkey privacy is not guaranteed. In those cases, our company suggests using the business application for surveys.

  • Create new surveys.
  • Layout is pretty good.
  • The different question types make a survey more beautiful.
  • For more depth, more questions should be available in one survey.
  • Also for more depth, more question types should be available.
  • The limit of survey responses should be higher.
For a 'quick and dirty' easy survey this is a great option. For more depth, the free account should have more options which the paid application has. Also, privacy is an issue. When respondents feel that privacy is not handled in a good way they won't respond to a survey.
