  • Using the HubSpot integration, my thumbnail is really small. So I have to paste in from Chrome which negates the HubSpot Sales Pro upgrade.
  • The HubSpot integration is only basic at best.
  • I should have more options for placing my video image when showing my screen. Like split-screen, thumbnail size/placement.
  • I should really get more than 5 shared videos per license.
The sales tool could have better and more intuitive integration with HubSpot. I should be able to share more 5 marketing videos while in the sales process.

It is used by the entire organization. We use it to establish a closer connection with our customers. We work with customers all over the world, and travel is not always possible, especially these days. So having Vidyard allows us to send them videos and make communications a little warmer. It also simplifies when you have to provide step by step instructions to some process, that enables our customers to follow what we are doing on the screen.

We use Vidyard several times a week, if not daily. Primarily in Customer Support. When clients ask a support question, we could send them to a generic video library that sort of answers their question, but instead, we create a super quick custom Vidyard video specifically answering their question/concern. It only takes a couple of minutes, it's really faster than finding a help file. We speak directly to the client in the audio and show the software screen responding to their specific need. Our clients tell us they love the personal touch they get from these quick videos.

Our agency uses Vidyard as part of our own sales process, as part of our client services offering, and for internal communications and training. We also support multiple clients using Vidyard (including the native HubSpot integration) for similar use cases. The product plays an important role in humanizing our sales process and streamlining support and training (especially on complex martech products).

We use Vidyard across the whole organisation to educate and entertain our audience with helpful, informative video content. That audience includes anyone from casual website visitors to prospects and existing customers looking to understand how to unlock the most value from our software.
  • Vidyard can be used by the whole organisation to create a consistently high standard of video content — no shadow IT here!
  • Vidyard integrates really easily with our main tech stack, HubSpot, so it's simple to include videos in our written content, send them out across social, or include in emails!
  • Because it's integrated, the video engagement data is right there in our platform. I can dive into an article's analytics and see at a glance how engaging and effective the video we've included in there is! (No need to switch between systems or log in and out of different places — ain't nobody got time for dat.)
  • Because there's so much functionality, it can be a little overwhelming when you first go behind the scenes. Anything to simplify this or make it more accessible to new users would be fab.
It's one thing to write an awesome piece of content. It's another to get eyes on it. Vidyard has proven superb at helping us to promote our written assets, improving blog views, time on page, and even conversions. These promos might introduce the article across social or they might feature the article's author giving a little background behind what they've written or highlighting a key point. They take no more than 30/45 seconds to watch, they're engaging, and it's a great way of using written and video content in collaboration to get the best of both.

We also use Vidyard to reach out to new prospects in the sales process. No more stuffy, unwelcome emails from complete strangers — watching the videos, our prospects feel like they're meeting our sales reps face to face. They're also quickly become used to receiving video communication from us, meaning the sales reps can use video throughout the process to nurture and advance them. It's human and it's personal, which we love.

Both our internal and client-facing teams use Vidyard. We use the platform to host videos for our websites and the tool enables us to measure those videos' performance so we can optimize our video strategy. We use the GoVideo tool to record personalized videos that are used in our sales process and for client communications. Vidyard makes it easy for everyone to efficiently create video content that streamlines communications and clarifies messaging to eliminate confusion and build trust. Additionally, internally, we use Vidyard to document processes and create tutorials around how to use our tools so that onboarding can happen faster.

I use Vidyard for pre-discovery call explanations. When a prospect books a discovery call with me, they get an email with a video of me talking about what to expect for our discovery call, demo, etc. I have also used it for some personalized outbound prospecting to put a face to the name on cold emails. I believe our marketing department uses Vidyard to host our website videos as well.

  • Ability to customize thumbnail post video is useful.
  • Videos can be challenging to edit. The time increments when editing are not in 1-second intervals, and you don't know if you have edited properly until after you have saved the edit. It can lead to some hassles and headaches.
  • The first 3 seconds of the video are used for the GIF in the thumbnail. This is really awkward if you are just waiving silently for the first 3 seconds of the video. The ability to add a gif thumbnail after the video is done would be really nice.
  • Back end UI/UX could use a bit of work as far as creating a more user-friendly interface. It isn't a big deal, but just a bit clunky, and I am sure it will get better over time.
Vidyard is well suited for outbound prospecting because it adds that extra little personal touch that is so important in cold emails these days. I only use the static thumbnail because I have found that the gif thumbnail is awkward, as well as cumbersome to set up and get right. Outbound prospecting and sending videos to current clients are the only activities I use Vidyard for right now and it suits its purpose. I actually enjoy using it (and what salesperson likes using new tools?) and have just been a bit nit-picky with the UI/UX details.

Vidyard provides tremendous integration with HubSpot's CRM. It is great to see very detailed information such as video parts played, percentage watch on a contact to contact basis. The amount of analytics available makes other popular choices pale in comparison. Do yourself a favor, if Vidyard is in your budget, switch to their services now.

We use Vidyard to host all of the videos on our websites. We have 2 websites: one focused on our proprietary web app and one for our primary business in consulting/training large B2B businesses. On both websites, we have a content library where we created media that we can send to prospects and share insight.

  • Updating a video within a player shouldn't lose all previous analytics—there should be an option to update the video file with a newer version while retaining previous engagement insights.
  • Their UI is confusing to use at first (i.e., duplicating players versus duplicating videos).
  • More customization options for the player controls, not just changing the color.
  • Bulk actions/templates to change the color or branding across multiple videos at once, instead of one at a time.
If you're looking for a hosting service that will provide detailed insights on engagement and analytics, then Vidyard is great. It's been very reliable for our hundreds of videos. However, if you're wanting very tight control over the player controls, the appearance of the video when it's embedded, etc., then Vidyard still has some kinks to work out.

We use Vidyard on a few different levels within our organization - from housing our marketing videos shown on our website to sending sales-related follow-up videos using additional tools from the platform. It helps us host our marketing videos on a tool that doesn't advertise over us (YouTube) while giving us actionable insights into how the videos are performing and who is watching from our database while even allowing us to convert new leads directly within the video. From the sales side, it allows us to customize our email communication to a level that sets us apart from our competitors and helps us connect and get across ideas faster.

Vidyard is a good tool that allows you to dip your toes into video marketing and automation while also helping you move quickly into some of the more technical elements as you progress. Small to medium businesses who know they are going to be creating a lot of video content that they want to "own" (vs. just using YouTube) are perfect for this. People who are just looking for a place to house a few key videos that they've created but won't be focusing on growth and improvement of those videos need not buy this platform. Sales people of all kinds can find great value in the sales tools though.

I use Vidyard as part of my regular support and training workflow. It gives me a quick, easy, and convenient way to record instructions or demonstrate a feature in video format and share it with the client or prospective client. The whole process can typically be achieved in a few minutes.

If you frequently need to provide clear instructions to a customer remotely, Vidyard is a very effective way to do that quickly and easily. As well, if you need to provide proposals or demonstrations to prospective clients remotely, the addition of being able to include your webcam capture to the recording for a more personal touch is amazing.

At our organization, Vidyard is being used as a training tool internally for team members and externally as client-facing. It is being used by the entire organization from marketing, to sales, to account managers. The biggest problem the platform solves is that it allows us to have a resource library available for internal and external use. It also makes project communication more efficient.
  • Video quality is great
  • Intuitive user interface
  • Easy to use Chrome extension
  • Easy to share videos to anyone
  • Custom date ranges for insights would be great to have.
  • Bulk transfer of videos should be implemented.
The platform is appropriate for internal and external use for trainings, resource libraries, quick explanations, or detailed walkthroughs. It might be less appropriate if a short email would do the trick instead of a short video.

We use Vidyard to make different types of videos for our customers. I believe it is being used throughout the organization. In my department, which is Sales and Marketing, it allows us to connect with leads on a more personal level. They get more than just an email from us, they get to see our face and connect with a real person.
  • GIF video previews (instead of just an image)

  • Analytics to see how your video is performing
  • Ability to add call to action buttons
  • I would like to see virtual backgrounds.
  • I would like to be able to edit how the call to action buttons look.
  • Maybe filter options to allow you look better on camera
Vidyard is great for sending short videos in emails. It can also be used to make longer videos for answering questions and doing mini demos. I'm not sure if can be used for super long videos though (over 20 minutes).

We are using Vidyard primarily with our Sales team to reach out to prospective customers. It gives us the opportunity to connect with prospects in a more personal manner rather than a phone call. Additionally, it saves our team time by allowing them to record messages rather than type our a long email.
  • Our team members like that it is easy to create videos right off the cuff and put them directly in emails.
  • The interface is very easy to use.
  • The analytics are very helpful and help our team determine who is engaged in the process.
  • The ability to put calls to action in videos or below videos makes it easy to move prospects down the funnel in a natural way.
  • The difference between team accounts and individual accounts is a bit confusing.
  • The inability to download videos with the free version is a con.
  • You can't trim the middle of videos, only the beginning and end.
Vidyard is perfect for organizations where face to face contact isn't possible. If your organization values developing relationships and trust but struggles to over the phone or email, this is a great solution to engage prospects and earn their trust right off the bat. It is also helpful for remote teams to stay in contact.

We use Vidyard externally for recording prospecting and recap videos on our software. We use it internally to share videos on Salesforce/Outreach processes, product knowledge updates, and more. It helps us show users versus telling them.
  • Simplified overviews.
  • Personal, face to a message.

  • Editing and adding other videos in.
Vidyard is awesome for follow ups when prospects want to internalize what they saw on a demo quickly to internal stakeholders not involved in the sales process. A quick Vidyard allows us to speed that process up without having to pull together another call.

Our sales team use Vidyard for quickly creating personal video emails to introduce our solution or to progress through a sales process. We have also used Vidyard for simple support issues, explainer videos.

Sales at SeeClickFix uses Vidyard to put a face on our outreach whether it's opening conversations with new prospects or guiding would-be clients through the buyer's journey. Vidyard helps by humanizing our interactions and by letting us know when we have the attention of our prospects so we can time follow-up outreach.
  • Alerts account execs when their videos have been viewed.
  • It's easy to create video content from a browser window.
  • Organizing and reusing videos is simplified with their content library.
  • I like SoapBox's video capture tool better as it lets you easily toggle back and forth from speaker to browser window after the video has been captured.
  • I'd like to be able to track video interactions housed on other platforms through Vidyard e.g. Wistia without having to upload the content into Vidyard.
Vidyard is well-suited for business development activities where you're focused on human-to-human outreach.

Vidyard is being used to take video marketing to new levels and is giving sales teams access to on-the-fly video selling tools that simply didn't exist previously. Vidyard is solving significant issues with social distancing and helping individuals personalize their communication. It's a great supplement to email, contains fantastic tools for insights and conversion points in videos, and helps marketers easily inject video into their assets.
  • Conversion paths in existing videos.
  • Click to record sales videos.
  • Controlling the viewing experience with share pages.
  • Provides deep analytics and intelligence.
  • They could use some work on their internal dashboard. It's hard to navigate and difficult to find specific videos.
  • It's impossible to share through 3rd party outlets with branded URL, making it cumbersome to string URLs together.
Vidyard is the best solution on the market for managing, marketing, and producing video. If you have videos, want to make more, and want to turn views into leads this is the software for you.
