Sage Intacct is a very nice and powerful accounting tool that enables us to manage our business expenditures with ease. I like how it displays the consolidated total balance sheet of the subsidiary. Also, i like the ability to create reports specific to our department executives using the reporting tools and the dimensions structure. It has a very responsive and helpful customer support team.
  • Sage Intacct is very user-friendly and intuitive when correcting something.
  • Ability to place your recurring custom templates in your favorite section for ease of access since reporting is highly customizable.
  • Ability to track accounts payable.
  • Asset management.
  • Sometimes the system is slow.
  • Printed documents templates can be cumbersome to create.
Sage Intacct is suitable for all sizes of companies. It's one of the best and most secure accounting and financial management application i have ever used. It makes it extremely easy to handle basic accounting needs such as tracking AP, generating financial statements and invoicing.

Sage Intacct is a very intuitive accounting software. It is one of the modern accounting ERP systems that exist. The reporting is clear and easy to run and edit. You can drill into different general ledger account details in a quick way. This is a great software to teach the accounting team. Customer service is also great when needed. The learning modules if purchased is also helpful. I recommend this software for any startup or big company.
  • Journal Entries
  • Reporting
  • General Ledger details
  • Depreciation module is cumbersome
  • If bill.com and Sage and sync bilaterally on certain features for example if an EFT payment was made and recorded in Sage it will not sync to Bill.com
  • If bank reconciliations can be fed in an easier way
I recommend Sage Intacct for just about any industry out there. Implementing Sage Intacct is not very clunky as they have smooth transition plans.

Sage Intacct is being used to consolidate across 6 different countries. It is also used to manage over 200 restricted funds within each country. It helps in consolidating over multi currency accounts. It allows for each individual entity (country) to use and produce reports. In addition the consolidated reports can be produced to use as those are needed. These are each different types of reporting.
  • Reporting based on many dimensions.
  • Handling of multi currency.
  • Ability to access a cloud based system from anywhere.
  • Setting up of reporting can be an issue.
  • Tracking entries that did not use proper dimensions.
  • Reports when exported to excel do not include the formulas.
Sage Intacct is well suited when you have multiple people needing to access from multiple locations. It is very helpful especially when over multiple time zones. It is less appropriate for those that do not have a basic accounting background. The usability of the wording on tasks is more accounting language.

We are a Non profit-Behavioral health contracted with the State of Oregon to administer the Oregon Health Plan.
I do not have a good answer for this question
  • system is user friendly
  • support is great if you are doing online.
  • Community help is also available.
  • in AP they could show where the checks are cashed so you dont have to go look for it
  • spelling issues in VENDORS be able to change a name if necessary
  • Vendors - if one is inactive, and now is going active would like the system to at least acknowledge that is a duplicate if you are trying to add a new vendor.
  • AP-Be able to warn about duplicate payments or possibly a duplicate payment
I think implementation is very important, make sure you get a person who understands your business so that the right decisions for setting up your accounting system are correct.

Our company uses Sage Intacct for almost all accounting needs. Our use of the program ranges from creating and emailing invoices, A/P, journal entries, and amortizing prepaid expenses. Having most of our accounting needs met with a single program has made our job simpler. However, the biggest issue we have with the program is overall system slowness. The offline job queue can get backed up with thousands of jobs during the month, which can result in jobs we attempt to process offline failing due to timing out. Additionally, it can take over a week for prepaid expense schedules to generate and post entries. Contacting customer support will not result in an immediate solution if it requires their engineering team to look into the issue; we have support cases outstanding for months now. Overall, Sage Intacct meets our company's basic needs, but I would not recommend it if you want to implement multiple modules as their current program does not seem capable of doing so.
  • Easy to use
  • All inclusive
  • Makes invoicing simple
  • System slowness
  • Customer support response time
  • Printed doc templates can be frustrating to create
Sage Intacct is well suited for handling basic accounting needs for a business. This includes invoicing, tracking A/P, and generating financial statements. Sage Intacct would not be appropriate if your business plans to implement various add-ons, as this can result in system slowness that the Sage Intacct support team will not be able to fix in a timely manner.

Great product, much better than QuickBooks overall. The issue we had with QuickBooks - > It was not conducive for multiple entity accounting and consolidations. Intacct solves this issue; we use Intacct to do the accounting for a parent partnership that has multiple entities it owns, so for consolidation accounting purposes, this is a good accounting system that displays the consolidated total balance sheet and income statements as well as standalone ability when you want to get the balance sheet of the subsidiary; the reports within Intacct are highly customizable. When you are onboarding to Intacct please ensure you understand what you want (i.e. dynamic allocations?) and discuss if you need extra modules to get what you want with your sales rep. We use the basic version - no extra modules however, other businesses may benefit from the dynamic allocation module add-on.
  • Pricing - fair pricing relative to competitors.
  • Good uptime - no slowdowns, no downtime to note. I have used this program for several years. Outages are not a thing.
  • Not buggy - Intacct doesnt allow you to upload buggy data. It spits out error messages that tell you exactly what to fix.
  • Customizable - Reporting is customizable and you can place your recurring custom templates in your favorites section for ease of access.
  • Good Help - the help button at the top right of each webpage goes to the overview of how the system works. It has answered all my questions which is handy when you want to get work done fast and an answer fast.
  • Untagged entries could be more easily seen in the reports.
  • Allocations split the debits up by the allocated amount would be nice to run GL unallocated so we can get unbroken out debits.
Well-suited Accounting for all companies. You can have a proper control environment with access controls (i.e., AR only has access to the AR module). We switched to Intacct for the ability to do multiple-entity accounting and consolidations well. It is well suited for reporting for multiple entities that consolidate into one parent company (or more than one parent). I would recommend this to pretty much every company that needs an accounting system that can handle multiple entities.

Many of the features we were sold with Sage Intacct do not work as promised. The bank feeds don't auto load, the locations don't operate as we were told so our core Chart of Accounts was very difficult to make work and their suggestions for tracking restricted assets don't work. Reports are extremely difficult to customize. Account "groupings" make it too easy to leave data out of financial reports.
  • Online access.
  • Bank feeds.
  • Support - doesn't actually resolve anything beyond simple issues.
Sage is good for basic accounting. Its departments and locations give a lot of flexibility.

We use Sage Intacct for our accounting package for our project here in San Antonio, Texas. I use Sage Intacct with entering AP and AR invoices, submitting them for payment; paying the invoices, setting up the check runs; reconciling all balance sheet accounts; running month end reports, either standard or customized ones; posting monthly journal entries, running trial balances, reconciling all our bank accounts, just to name a few.
  • Accounts Payable Tracking
  • General Ledger Detail
  • Very user friendly when correcting something
  • Report Writing
We're working with a project where Sage Intacct allows us to focus on all areas. We're a small company and the following modules are well suited for our organization: Cash Management - reconciling our cash accounts, weekly and monthly; General Ledger - posting monthly journal entries, looking up detail information, recurring journals, activity reports and standard reports, i.e. journals, trial balances, gl details; Accounts payables - entering vendors/bills, paying them, setting up recurring bills; preparing check runs; printing checks; running 1099 reports; approving payments; custom and standard reports i.e. agings, check registers, vendor listings, and bills analysis; and Accounts Receivables - entering new customers/invoices; receiving payments; running custom and standard reports. We also use the reporting module for any custom or standard reports for our finanacial analysis. Less appropriate would be for tracking inventory, as we do not track it in Sage nor use Sage for payroll either nor tracking fixed assets, as this is done on our corporate software.

We use Sage Intact as our daily General Ledger System. We use several other aviation software systems and upload the revenue/cgs into Sage from those systems. The dimensions allow us to create reports for our different department executives. We can look at our business by location/department/tail number and even down to a single trip using the dimension tools. The budgeting tools are exceptional and allow us to plan and make changes in time to make a difference.
  • Dimensions
  • Budgeting
  • Reporting
  • Asset management
As stated before, Sage allows us to be able to create reports specific to our executives and department heads using the dimensions structure and reporting tools. We are able to dissect our business by dimensions that we were never able to with other systems. We can look at our business by location and every department in a specific location. We can also look at our business by department and every location in that department. We can get as granular as to look at what impact a specific tail number made or even whether or not a specific trip was profitable. Sage is continually working to make improvements to the different features.

The company uses Sage Intacct to ensure a flawless financial and accounting system. The technological infrastructure of this software allows accounting systems to have a fluid exchange of data to keep accounts in total order. One of the problems that the accounting department has solved is the variance of the payment order data and the capabilities to achieve that the budget can be distributed according to the estimates of the expenses.
  • Sage Intacct's technology infrastructure is secure to process and exchange data seamlessly.
  • Accounting modules are intuitive and reduce dependency on manual billing and money orders.
  • Price can be a problem if there is no planning and a list of problems to solve.
The procedures to operate payment orders, direct transactions with clients, security with payment orders, and in all accounting and financial areas are the work of Sage Intacct, of course, there is no one tool that does all the accounting work, but if it is the one that organizes and integrates software that is visibly complex and turns them into tools that can work together.

The impact that Sage Intacct has generated in the financial and account results is positive and satisfactory to continue making progress in meeting the budget. In addition, it is possible to manage payroll by generating good profitability systems. Sage Intacct is the main tool for our financial and account management, we have an efficient system to avoid loss of income with a robust billing system. Setting up Sage Intacct is always a simple task because technical support is kindly helpful and generally always available.
  • The robust payroll management
  • Simple control of settings
  • Importing data is complex
  • It is a tool that does not have a simple learning curve
The financial reporting process with Sage Intacct is fast, it has customization tools that help to easily monitor projects, I also like it because it is a collaboration platform, the ROI is very generous with the implementation of Sage Intacct I can also recommend it for the modules that have enabled amazing achievements in finance.

Sage Intacct is used as our accounting system. Intacct is great for multi-entity reporting. We prepare the accounting for 7 entities that include noncontrolling interests and we love the ability to account for all entities in the same system and with the same login. We are able to create robust reporting and dashboards to track each companies performance.
  • Multi-Entity Reporting
  • Dashboards
  • Custom Reporting
  • Reclassification of certain transactions not possible
  • Audit trail functionality with integrations shows blank
  • Refunding customers is not intuitive or an easy process
Sage Intacct is a good reporting system for accounting departments who want a more robust system, generally, once companies are not necessarily considered small businesses but enter the mid-size realm. Small businesses would find the system too robust and too much time to configure. Sage Intacct is great for multi-entity reporting and has a robust reporting feature.

Sage Intacct was our full ERP solution that captured and reported on all of the data from our integrated systems. We used it to generate reports for month-end reporting, budget analysis, and flux analysis and generated dashboards for various department heads so they could quickly view their status and self-serve answers to common questions.
  • Dimensions are the building blocks for custom reports
  • Drilling into details is as easy as clicking on anything that's a link
  • Permissions are fairly customizable by user or role, allowing for controls and segregation of duties
  • The Fixed Asset and Prepaids modules could be updated to match the usability of the rest of the product.
  • The Charge Payoff screen should have a "match transactions" feature like the bank/credit card reconciliations do.
  • Very large transactions (AP bills and JEs with over 500 lines) take a very long time to load and sometimes crash in a Chrome browser. If you need to edit one mistake, it's almost easier to reverse the entry and re-upload via csv.
Sage Intacct is very well suited for mid-size companies with complexity in their accounting or reporting processes and a high volume of data. While Sage is focusing efforts on making Sage Intacct a best-in-class for all processes, using disparate systems is still the way to go for things like expense reports, asset management, PO requests, sales contracts, corporate card use, and payroll. Sage Intacct does integrate very well with a lot of those systems, and suggests their partners on the Sage Intacct Marketplace.

I use Sage Intacct for invoicing, paying bills, 1099s, and tracking of GL accounts. I enter all invoices and submit for payment. We have recently went paperless, so I now save all invoice copies as attachments in each bill entered. I set up all new vendors and am able to save W-9s in each vendor file. I solely do 1099/1096 reports each year. I also run reports to see where GL accounts stand at certain times, which also helps identify errors in coding.
  • Tracking capabilites.
  • Allowing attachments with entries.
  • Ability to pay bills directly from Sage Intacct.
  • They are always adding or improving features.
  • I would like to see the automated invoice entry eventually.
  • I think that getting the settings correct to print on 1099s can be difficult.
  • I would like to see the ability to for attachments to save with their name instead of Sage Intacct generated numbers.
  • I would like to be notified of possible duplicate entries for vendors based on name, address, FEIN, etc.
Sage Intacct is amazing for any company's accounting purposes. A smaller company may be better suited with less than Sage Intacct offers, but mid to large-size companies will definitely benefit from all this software has to offer. The invoice entry and bill paying is amazing for the volume of bills we have on a daily basis. The fact that it is cloud-based offers unlimited storage capabilities, which is helpful in being a paperless company. I honestly think that any company can use Sage in some fashion for its accounting purposes.

We use Sage Intacct in our day to day operations from AP to AR and month-close tasks and reporting. We have had issues in the past that included glitches in the system and syncing issues on the AP side that causes delays in our month-close. The slow response time from their support team also does not help.
  • User-friendly, easy to navigate
  • Importing data
  • Report pulls
  • Customer support team time
  • Too many system updates every Friday evening
  • Glitches in data at times
Running reports is very easy to use. I like the layouts of the financial statements and the ease of getting the data from these reports.

I have a retail client in multiple states with multiple stores. We setup allocations that allow us to just select the proper allocation. Sage Intacct is used as our complete accounting systems; however, integration with payroll, accounts payable and accounts received systems have been challenging. Further, electronic data interchange between our asset management system, expense reimbursement systems and credit card reconciliation platforms also are less than desirable. I believe the platform has tremendous functionality and with the write partners in the systems category could proof to be very promising.
  • Dashboards

  • Custom reporting
  • Payroll
  • Payables
  • Receivables
Purely from a reporting standpoint and customization standpoint it is excellent. When it comes to talking to other systems and allowing varying access for different level employees, there is a lot of work to be done. Integrations with other platforms is essential. There are also too many add ins that I’m sure are used universally and should be included in the base package.

I use the General Ledger for AR to create Journal entries and like the ease of duplicating those, which allow me to quickly add a new one or edit an existing one without creating/reversing the batch. A plus I find is the ability to search multiple ways within those to easily find posted JE. The use of the reporting features is most helpful for my monthly reconciliations and for preparing for my company's yearly audit.
  • Reporting
  • Accounting
  • Accounts payable
  • Better/more ability to use keystrokes for data entry
  • Templates for journal entry in AR
  • Shortcut keys
I work in a nonprofit organization which has a yearly audit, so the ease of the auditing team's ability to access the accounting information is a huge time saver for all. The ability to drill down and customize reporting to fit my specific need. The journal entry process has been streamlined with the option to duplicate JE transactions.

We use Sage Intacct accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger modules for our main book of business and our smaller nonprofit entities. It's nice to have one system to store the backup we need. The only issue I have is the canned reports are not always user-friendly to modify.

Sage Intacct has made it easier for us to import data from our billing software into our accounting software. Sage Intacct allows us to utilize one product to manage multiple entities. The ability to easily export to Excel makes sharing data with other departments less cumbersome.

Overall great product that's capable of managing nearly every aspect of our business. As a user with no experience I found it very easy to learn and work with on a daily basis. • Bill payment
  • Project management
  • Financial reporting
  • Receivable history could be easier to navigate
  • Printed doc templates could be simpler to create
Intact is user friendly and relatively quick with load times and report results. I can easily enter bills and have checks ready to print in minutes. We are the back office providing financial services for Charter Schools through out America, and we are using Sage Intacct to our accounting function. We are making a lot of journal entries to reclass, and would like to have a provisional post functionality in Sage Intacct.
  • Bank Feed: making it easy to do bank reconciliation
  • Customize Dash Board: creating customize reports for specific viewers
  • Smart rules: a little changeling for someone who has no coding knowledge to do
  • Provisional post: Sage 300 has a functionality where it allows us to see what the ending trial balance looks like if we provisional post a journal entry/entries
  • Smart rules: an easier guidelines would be help full

From a finance standpoint, we love the report building tools largely replace the hodgepodge of SAS queries, Power BI, and Excel reports we cobbled together every month. Likewise, Sage Intacct Planning (SIP) had made our budgeting process much faster and easier. Accounting love the interface and we are just beginning to experiment with the AI/ML outlier detection, which thus far looks to be incredible. And our IT is glad for the API environment that eases integration with other systems.

  • The integration between Intacct and SIP leaves much to be desired. We should not have to recreate the dimensions and rollups (departments, categories, etc.) we set up in Intacct again in SIP.
  • We upgraded to Intacct from Sage 100C. There was absolutely zero integration between the two Sage tools. The conversion was as difficult as if we had converted to a third party ERP because there were not conversion tools to aid in upgrade from 100C to Intacct as there are in other ERP ecosystems.
  • Consultant “partners” are terrible. Our chosen partner delayed our conversion about a year, and we only executed the conversion after our IT department largely took the conversion over from them. At Transform I talked to other recently converted companies who had similar experiences. Sage should do a better job at certifying who they allow to represent them to their end users.
Our rapidly growing company completely outgrew our former ERP and were in need of a platform robust enough to match our growth without the complexities and costs of the Big Boy platforms like SAP, Oracle, etc. I would recommend Intacct to other emerging companies such as our own.

We use Sage Intacct for our Financial Platform.
  • Accounts payable.
  • Financial reporting.
  • Dashboards.
  • Implementing fixed assets into Sage.
Sage has allowed us to automate our processes. It made auditing very easy this year. Our auditors were able to go in and pull their reports.
