Track service opportunities.
  • Single view of all customer-related transactions and support data.
  • Ability to scale as business needs change.
  • Speed and performance.
Good for billing. Not great for professional services time entry/project management.

Implement for multiple industries. Problems with variant pricing. Custom-build the solution. The NetSuite does not also support real-time purchase tracking or entitlement. So we hired custom partners as integrators to give a real-time integration to the purchasing data. That brings the item procurement to real-time tracking.
  • Customer Sales processing.
  • Electronics payment.
  • Revenue Recognition.
  • Expense management.
  • Supplier collaborations.
  • Vendor Payments.
  • Variant configuration.
Well: sales order processing, customer master, Item records, pick, pack, ship, capturing detail line item data, invoicing, revenue management, customer billing and payment processing, purchase order creation and processing, vendor payment processing, revenue recognition not well: pricing and variant configuration, usage related billing, complex pricing, demand planning, and real-time integration.

We use NetSuite for our Finance and Accounting dept. It is a big win for us in automating our finance processes - P2P, AR, R2R.
  • GL Ledger posting and Trial balance.
  • Finance reporting - Saved searches.
  • Integrating with other systems.
  • Customization of workflows.
  • It should enhance the EFT module for Global payments instead of having the client build the integrations.
  • The approvals for bills / PO, etc, should be email enabled. Users should not be required to log into Netsuite just for approval.
  • It should allow flexibility in restricting accounts/dept/segments.
A very stable cloud-based ERP system Can be customized. Many bolt-on products in the market to meet specific needs.

NetSuite is Suite!

We have used NetSuite for company-wide financials for five years, and one year ago, we deployed advanced manufacturing for the operations side of our business. We use MRP, Procurement, Order management, marketing, and financials today.
  • No downtime! We haven't had any outages in a year!
  • Easily extensible with partner applications such as Tipalti, RFSmart, PaceJet, and Celigo.
  • Integrated data across operational functions.
  • Ease of creating simple customizations via workflows.
  • WMS does not have enough features to be robust enough for use: License Plating, UCC labeling and shipment rate shopping.
  • Outsourced manufacturing requires lots of manual effort to realize - 6 transactions to receive inbound completed manufactured products! (TO to the manufacturer, IR, PO for finished goods, WO completion, TO, IR).
  • MRP does not have enough training materials available.
In general, it was relatively easy to implement and extend to areas where we have more complexity.

Manufacturing various products across multiple I diatribes. My team supports the users of NetSuite by transitioning them from their old ERP to NetSuite. We also help them maintain their website via SCA.
  • Streamlined mcf process.
  • Easy reporting.
  • All communication within NetSuite.
  • SCA is kind of clunky.
  • CRM campaign templates aren’t user-friendly.
It does a great job with our simple manufacturing processes.

We mostly use it to keep track of customer information and opportunities, invoicing, and accounting.
  • Allows customization.
  • Enabled automation.
  • Provides data visibility.
  • Easier to access documentation.
  • Better customer support.
  • More tutorials.
It seems great for keeping track of records and data. It seems difficult to use for field service companies natively, but Suiteworld unveiled a new module so maybe that will change.

Netsuite is well suited for cash management and revenue recognition; however, it has a big learning curve. It is not the most user-friendly system. I have used Salesforce CRM for years, and it makes so much more sense. NetSuite has a big learning curve.

We use Netsuite as an ERP system and provide consultancy to other users. It addresses mainly the GL part for most of my customers. It is making the AP and AR process simple by making a good level of automation. Apart from this it is very easy to access from mobile/tab/laptop.
  • Account Payables.
  • Book Keeping.
  • Roles and access structure.
  • Integration to other systems.
  • Form customization.
NetSuite is a very good ERP tool I have used in my 12 years of experience. This allows a very good control over customization and data import/export. The reporting capability of the product is also very flexible and good. The dashboard can be tailored to any person/role of the organization and it makes the workday easy.

One source of truth. Have all business processes captured in one system? In the US, live for only one month. The biggest challenge currently is to get everybody up to speed with their current processes in a new system. Implement the requirements that fell off the scope due to go-live pressure.
  • It is very customizable via custom fields and transactions.
  • Very automation-driven with Suiteapps, workflows, and custom scripts.
  • It is fun to make the business insightful via Saved Searches and analytics.
  • User interface. Headers are not visible in the lines. Too much data in a GL report is only displayed at the bottom of the page in a super small font. The resizing of lines in edit mode vs view mode.
  • The Excel download not being a normal xlsx (if I could get a quarter for every extra click I have to make when opening the Excel, I would be a millionaire).
  • The complexity and openness for everything if you are a new user. It takes years of experience to get to know all the field options when creating a Transaction search f.e.
  • Start or switch to a newbie mode where you add in the interface what you need. Versus the current mode where you hide what you don't need (and then never do).
Same topic but different user. For high performance/ IQ/ ambition users it super great that everything is customizable. Searches, dashboards, reminders, shortcuts, forms, transactions. If you have the time and the willpower, you can really make the ERP your 'suite'. If you are a lower ambition employee/user (Accounts payable cleric for example) you cannot be bothered with all those tweaks, you just want to do your job in a system that works and then go home. (Why are all these fields here? They have not been hidden. Why can I not see this? You need a saved search and a reminder. Pfff, why is the system not already set up for me? .... because it is super fun to make it your own system. No! I just want to do my job ... ok.

We use NetSuite for a variety of purposes, making it super important for our organization. The main uses are around the procurement of inventory, and processing the sale of that inventory. We also use NetSuite to create invoices and process POs.
  • It can be used anywhere.
  • Huge customer base, allowing for easy searches for almost anything.
  • Easy to find staff with past experience.
  • More cost-effective licenses.
  • Simpler to perform password resets for users.
NetSuite is powerful enough to do what we need but still easily managed without a team to maintain.

Finance, Management Accounting, Project Delivery, Billing, Sales, Support, CRM. We use NetSuite across the organization to manage service delivery and finance.
  • Reporting Income Statements and Balance Sheets across different segments of the organization.
  • Allowing Customisation to fit specific business needs.
  • Security
  • Reporting is segmented, so it is hard to report across different aspects of the organization in a single report.
  • Project budgets are limited.
  • Time entry to the project either increases the budget or restricts additional time, so reporting is impossible.

We have all processes integrated, including purchase orders, sales, and Fix assets. We will start to use project and budgeting! Netsuite works like We expect!! Also, We have some apps Like FloQast; we installed Notes, and it works perfectly.
  • Fix Assets, with the enhancements, works so well.
  • The full integration for AP, purchase orders, receives, and bills. Works like a clock.
  • Sales, we have small sales, but it is fully integrated.
  • Workflows are amazing!! We have many controls for auditors.
  • Maintenance, we can have a better provider than the actual one.
The integration with the email to be able to approve transactions! Is amazing!

Fionic is a financial services company and uses NetSuite as its financial book of records. It is used for financial reporting and cash collections.
  • Flexibility of financial reporting process.
  • Vast infrastructure to support various needs.
  • Able to scale to a much larger organization dealing with multiple jurisdictions.
  • Learning curve to start functioning efficiently.
  • Ability to easily connect with Canadian banks and the application of cash to a large number of customer receivables.
  • Support for multi-currency reporting/implementation.
NetSuite is an investment into the finance/accounting department. When the company is large and the finance/accounting department, there is additional room for efficiencies, which can be had with the deployment of NetSuite. The implementation process and learning curve are also an investment, and it takes time to understand the best way to develop processes.

NS is our core business system. We use it for all our finance and accounting day-to-day. The most important module we use is ARM. ARM helped us to properly allocate revenue, recognize different schedules, and reclass.
  • Roles and permissions.
  • Order to cash.
  • ARM
  • Project management.
  • Employee management.
I found NS is very good at handling procurement and order to cash process. Project and resource planning is also good, but a little bit complicated for customers who are new to the system. The learning curve is a bit long.

We use NetSuite ERP mainly for accounting and financials. We use SuiteApprovals heavily as we enter vendor bills and send them to three layers of approvals. We use journal entries and vendor bills the most out of all the transactions. We rely on many of the financial reports to make business decisions. We are currently expanding our NetSuite ERP users to more people in the company beyond the accounting team. We are in the process of creating dashboards and roles. We have created many saved searches and customized reports as well.
  • SuiteApprovals
  • Reporting (Financial reports)
  • Customization of saved searches to show many forms of data
  • Vendor ACH bank payments module
  • Greater CRM capabilities
  • Different types of licenses (somewhere in the middle between full license and employee center)
  • More customizable dashboards with a more friendly UI (change in creative design)
NetSuite EPR is great for a company that wants to see basic reports and wants to pull easy datasets together to create business solutions. The saved searches capability is great and such a quick tool to get fast reports. Also, the customizations (such as custom fields, records, and workflows) allow you to make your NetSuite personal to your company which is great for businesses who have unique circumstances. I've found the reports themselves are difficult to customize and do not have a lot of options for making data visually appealing. I've also found it is difficult to edit the SuiteApprovals and it would be nice to have more controls to go in and make changes as an Admin. I believe some settings are not as intuitive, such as the reporting setting that only shows financial reports during accounting period. I believe these tips and tricks should be more accessible.

We use NetSuite EPR to manage the GL record revenue and for Ecommerce among other things. NetSuite EPR has helped us streamline our monthly close functions as well as provides us with ample ability to customize our instance to meet the specific needs of our business. We have also use the expense module to help us streamline our expense/reimbursement process with the correct approvals to get them out in a timely manner.
  • Fixed asset depreciation is a smooth process
  • the ability to upload transactions in bulk via csv
  • The ability to connect to the jdbc driver and build complex queries that aren't available in a single saved search.
  • Saved searches while robust, I've found sometimes don't include all fields, and some tables can't be joined in
  • I'v found with deleted transactions it doesn't hold the gl impact data
  • I've found certain permissions aren't available for view only
NetSuite EPR excels as a corporate GL. It also does AP and AR well, and connects to 3rd parties well. I have not used every module but I think there is room for improvement on the expense side we have ran into issues with multiple card feeds and itemization. Overall NetSuite EPR is a great tool.

NetSuite ERP is our daily-use software - we use it for everything. Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Revenue Recognition, financial reporting. NetSuite ERP allows us to manage our inventory across multiple locations, enter sales and keep track of customer data in a secure and one-stop platform. All of our payables and purchases are handled through NetSuite ERP - demand planning, forecasting, and merchandising are all run through the system. We have about 250 users and run north of $300mm in yearly revenue. We handle revenue recognition with real-time billing updates, automated emailing of invoices to customers, and have also integrated NetSuite ERP with our e-commerce platform to allow for seamless order updates and management. Our showrooms utilize NetSuite POS software to enter sales, update orders, receive payments, and fulfill customer pickups. Our warehouse and fulfillment teams use a host of features within the software to track inbound and outbound shipments, conduct physical inventory cycle counts, and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • General Ledger reporting
  • Sales Order entry and maintenance
  • Customization of forms/dashboards
  • Searches and reports for all different types of data
  • Integrate with other software systems - AR, AP, banking, WMS, logistics
  • Support is expensive
  • There aren't a lot of options for third-party financing in a retail space
  • the CRM module could be more robust.
While not technically suited for a retail operation out of the box, it is possible to customize the system to work for retail. Additionally, we had to tailor the system to meet our needs as a white-goods retailer; in our industry it's not very common to stick product on a FedEx or UPS truck and send it out, but rather the goods are white-glove type deliveries with specialized skills needed for install. We had to customize the platform accordingly to account for these variances. Additionally, NetSuite ERP gave us the flexibility to "control the narrative" - we are able to set custom pricing and costing measures by item or by sales rep, we implemented a robust clearance item process, and we've integrated our pricing module with an e-tag solution at all of our stores. While the system may not be the best for retail without customization, it's the ability to mold the platform to fit your needs that really is its strong suit.

We use NetSuite EPR for our Accounting and Financial processes. We use it to process orders and invoice our customers, generate revenue arrangements, and recognize revenue. We also use it for our fixed asset management, Procurement and AP functions. We are using it to feed actual information to our budgeting and planning tool as well.
  • Simplifies Accounting processes
  • Excellent UI
  • Flexibility to add custom objects
  • Edge processes outside of core accounting functions are lacking
  • Complex approval routing
  • complex order processes
NetSuite ERP in general is very well suited for many business in the mid-to-large market and I would recommend it for accounting and financial processes. It does great for Procure-to-pay, fixed asset, and revenue recognition. I also appreciate the audit trail that NetSuite ERP provides, allowing you to see everything that happens in the system.

We use NetSuite ERP to manage financials for our BPO and SP clients. Usually we move clients to NetSuite ERP when audits begin to consider controls, or if the client comes across the need for more robust reporting, a higher volume of entries, inventory/procurement management, or fixed assets. NetSuite ERP is typically the primary ERP we suggest for clients we take on that are already at this level.
  • Data Extraction
  • Transaction Imports
  • Fixed Asset Handling
  • Advanced/Custom Approval Routing
  • Banking Integration
  • Payment Provider Expansion (for AP)
  • More Readily Available Training/Support Programs for Partners
I think NetSuite ERP addresses most of the primary account and finance concerns that a business would have when determining the best option for an ERP system. The only cases I wouldn't recommend NetSuite ERP in are for clients where the cost would be prohibitive or where clients require an all-in-one system that includes payment processing through any banking institution.

Financials, order management, webstore, assets and digital fulfillment. We implemented NetSuite ERP 4 years ago and it has helped us during the pandemic (since cloud based) with working from home. Having our financials in same place as our order manager has helped us with month end close.
  • Customization possibilities
  • Financials
  • Order management
  • Security
  • performance
  • development can sometimes be painful
  • In my opinion, SuiteCommerce Advanced needs to mature
  • In my opinion, even with deep customization to made dummy proof, UX can be confusing to some
  • I believe limitations with extracting our data (SQL ingetration tool isn't the greatest)
NetSuite ERP is great for small companies that are growing and wish to move to the cloud off of on-prem environments. If you are mainly an eCommerce business, I believe Suite Commerce Advanced needs to mature/ grow. I believe there are 3rd party solutions that can be managed and customized much easier than SCA

We use NetSuite ERP as our general ledger system. We also use this system for billing, procurement and Fixed Asset management. We have been using NetSuite ERP for the last 7 years, it helps us with payment approval and accelerate with financial close and speed up the payment process. So far we have been very happy with it.
  • Scheduled Payments
  • Payment Approval
  • Billing Schedule
  • Purchase Order approval process needs more room for customization..
  • Fixed Assets and depreciation
  • New upgrades sometimes overwrite saved changes.
Sometimes when a new update comes out, it would reset some of our configurations that have been set before. I believe it creates inconveniences for our existing users. And we need to read script to understand what was changed, what fields should be changed. It may be a problem for small organizations without NetSuite ERP developers in house like us.
