It's used in every aspect of our organization. We use it for support, account, sales, and more. It is vital to our business as we received lots of calls every day.
  • It works 90% of the time
  • It has a lot of features (that sometimes work)
  • It's ok, if you are ok with ok.
  • Calls drop.
  • Call Quality, people have trouble hearing.
  • Call groups do not work.
  • Cannot forward to an external number.
  • Cannot group text message.
  • LOTS AND LOTS OF BUGS.
I would not recommend this phone system for any business, small or large. A phone system that is buggy, drops on customers and is not built for any serious company with real customers. This is a company that has an auto-renew yearly contract with month to month payments and when service and support go out the windows and the phone system doesn't work, you are still locked into a contract.

We used RingEX for an e-fax solution for our entire organization. We handle escrow real estate closings, title insurance, and title abstracting. While much of our client and vendor communications are served by email and cloud systems; many still rely on facsimile for simple and secure communication. One key advantage of e-fax is making the documents directly available to our users as .pdf files which are ready for import into our cloud based management systems. It is also very useful to be able to send documents for fax delivery directly from our applications. In the end RingEX e-fax was a failure.
  • Apps for Mac, iOS, and other platforms
  • Consistent interface on various platforms
  • Consistent performance
  • Excellent availability
  • Reliability
  • We used multiple fax numbers - but couldn't differentiate between them in the apps
  • Faxes would show up in the 'Call Log' but not in 'Messages' - and were then not readable
  • Faxes frequently showed up garbled and unreadable
  • Faxes disappeared altogether
There is no way to recommend a fax service that cannot dependably deliver incoming faxes from real world users. It isn't an overstatement that the majority of our faxes were lost, incomplete, or garbled. To make matters worse, after discontinuing our service, it appears that RingEX has inadvertently re-captured our fax number and doesn't seem to have a vehicle to restore it to us, causing our business fax line to be disconnected.

This service is horrible. I would never wish it upon my competitor. It is crippling. Cuts in and out all the time, when they have an issue be prepared to be on a chat window on a phone call holding all day. Service is absolutely horrid - I would give zero stars. Do not trust ANY of the reviews that say this company has the best customer service ever encountered. I have been trying 5 different ways for 2 hours just to get a rep or get verified. It is ridiculous.
  • nothing
  • putting you on hold
  • taking 2 hours to verify your account
  • customer service
  • stop the service from not working each week, call drop, call mishandling
  • promise the stars but deliver dirt
would never recommend my worst competitor to use this service

I have been a customer since 2013 and I raise donations to save animals who have been abused. I got RingEX in 2013 so I can talk to the 600 nonprofits I support. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, I had to close my doors and we no longer need RingEX service. I have spent over 4 hours on hold with 5 different reps and they refuse to help me. They keep transferring us around to different people and will leave you on hold and even just hang up on me. We have helped save thousands of animals since 2013 and I cannot believe this is how they treat customers like me. We have asked them to send me the signed agreements and they cannot produce any other agreements they have lied and said I have signed. RingEX said we signed an extra 2 years magically the day we called to cancel. Isn't that convenient? Take a look at another review such as Yelp and you will see they are trying this same exact tactic with other customers. I have spoken to RingEX customer service reps like Jesus and Ralph and neither will handle my cancellation and both have kept us on hold for hours. Anytime you ask for someone’s contact information they say they do not have it. Can you believe this is how they treat customers of 8 years? Since RingEX refuses to cancel our service we are now forced to take further action. 1. We have contacted our attorney to take on our case now. 2. We have canceled the card on file with them and contacted our Chase Business Service Rep and let them know RingEX is trying to scam us. 3. We let our 2 million fans, followers, and likes know that RingEX is trying to scam our business. These supporters are extremely passionate about our work and will not be happy with how we are being treated. 4. We are leaving negative reviews on any service so as many people as possible knows to avoid RingEX.
  • [In my opinion,] None.
  • Stop scamming customers into paying for an extra 2 years as they try to cancel!

We have been experiencing voice delays of 3 to 4 seconds on all calls for the past year. I have contacted and been working with two of RingEX’s overseas tech reps. Nice guys but they really have no idea how to help. They have asked me to perform the same phone test 6 times during this time and still no help. Now they have sent me links on how to reconfigure our phones, along with our routers, firewalls, network switches, and modems. I am not a trained IT tech. And, I don’t have the time nor the inclination to tackle this problem. This is what I pay you for. And you have no problem being there when it is time to collect, I see. Face it RingEX, your customer service is terrible at best. What you have put my company through, and others that I have talked to is unacceptable. I just can’t take this anymore. And please do not send me your cookie-cutter response: we're so sorry to hear about your experience. We'd love to help. We'll be sending you the Review Team Email, please reach out! If you really want to make me a happy customer…FIX MY VOICE DELAY PROBLEM!

I am being held in professional hostage by RingEX by being forced to reopen a canceled trial account because RingEX's account team did not cancel my porting request when I canceled my trial account (before the expiration). This was after I specifically requested and received assurances that the porting request would also be canceled (which it was not). I was subsequently forced to reopen the account to port MY number away to my new provider. Further to that injury, I was forced to pay the fees associated with the canceled trial account to ensure the porting went through (even though the porting error was due to no fault of my own). Moreover, I have been now BILLED TWICE FOR THE SAME SERVICE today (on a Saturday)! I further am inconvenienced by not having access to customer support to resolve the billing issue because RingEX does not employ people on weekends! I will be sharing my experience with every social media and business watchdog outlet I can find as soon as this nightmare is resolved.
I truthfully have not found or experienced any positive aspects of RingEX's product. My other feedback will clearly explain why this is the case. I welcome RingEX to reach out to me and work with me to correct their multitude of errors as a service and as a company. They can start by correcting the overbilling issue and own up to their mistake with porting my number, even though the account was canceled (twice the agreed-to amount, for a grand total of $517.39)!

We unfortunately use RingEX comprehensively for all our conferencing, calling, call monitoring / management, and is our default source as far as those tools are concerned. A few of us in management have been rebelling and using our cell phones for calling and TEAMs for conferencing because it is SO BAD from my experience. Buggy and not user friendly....
I would think anyone would recommend RingEX for anything are only the bean counters and not the users in my opinion. My reports are required to use the RingEX system and I have to pretend it's not a disaster when I wont even use it myself. The only logic I can find is it's cheap and you definitely get what you pay for.

We use the voip phone, we signed up a few years ago for the service a sales rep called us and said we would get a discount if we sign a 1 year contract, they they emailed us a 3 year and 3 year auto renew contract baud and switch. In our experience, RingEX refuses to stand behind this and do anything about it, all we want to do is downgrade some users but do no avail
  • In my opinion, Bait and switch
  • In my opinion, Long annoying contracts
  • In my experience, Give you the run around to cancel
  • Stand behind sales people
  • Show some compassion to your customers
  • Allow companies to add or remove users as needed
I don’t recommend RingEX for any company due to them, in my opinion, not being honest, the actual service works ok. Although, I think it is really complicated to use and to take advantage of the full features they offer

I have been a relatively happy RingEX customer. I recently got a quote from another provider. I am switching, only to be told that RingEX auto-renews contracts for 24 months. Any business that auto-renews a contract for 24 months after 5 years is not a good customer service company. Any company that does not allow any ability for the customers to leave obviously is not concerned with working to keep them.
  • Good phones
  • Good technology
  • Contracts. Initial contracts I understand, as you have costs associated with setup. But ongoing business should be kept by providing good service and good pricing. Any company that has to auto-renew for long periods to avoid losing customers should be avoided.
Would have been a 10 if they didn't have such lousy contract language. I just went from liking them, to making sure that I tell everyone not to use them.

I had to spend almost 2 hours on the phone with your agents to figure out why I was not getting calls. The first agent I spoke with removed me from the queue when she was in my account because I asked to speak with a supervisor since she could not fix the problem. I was not receiving my fair share of calls. I am very disappointed with the CSR agent I started with.

  • Shorter time to fix a problem.
I can text, inter office messaging.

We have been using RC for many years now, the initial setup was very difficult, making sure the lines rang in the right Extensions, Desk-phones, etc. This system is not scalable. If you have a company with many employees and you want all the outside calls to show the same caller ID, look somewhere else for service, you can't do this with RC. Getting someone in tech support is really difficult, the voice prompt system is terrible, and don't forget your six-digit pin for checking the voicemail because you will go in circles and be unable to bypass the "pin" requirement to speak with someone, in fact, is like they really don't want you to speak with someone, once you have someone in the line they are nice and try to help you. The new desktop app is glitchy, I get missed call notifications after a couple of hours, We have to download images before we can just print or print to PDF, sometimes this creates the app to freeze. Lastly, I write a lot in Spanish to Spanish-speaking clients, I can't write the letter "ñ", No Bueno. You Can't save contacts across all users, each user has to save their own contact, and they do not sync.
  • SMS and MMS
  • FAX (Email to Fax)
  • Reliable Voice
  • Account Management Simplicity
  • Provide a Central Phone System
  • Scalable System
In my opinion, RC is a good choice for a 1 Phone Line/User or maybe 2. But once you start adding users is not a good choice.

RingEX works great. It is very handy when you are on a business trip and you can be reached. In my opinion, the problem.is with their service, it is terrible, in my experience, you can not get past their AI system. I registered my bank account to verify using my RingEX texting system. Whenever I try to long in, the text message never comes through. It has been days I have been locked out of my bank account and there is no one to speak with to see what the problem could be Even tried to reach out to our rep. Maybe I should be contacting sales because there a human talks to you because they want your business.
  • Trying to sign into my bank account and, in my experience, their verification code never arrives either by calling or by text
  • In my opinion, their Service has created to much dependence on their chat box which can not handle serious problems, they should have a way to override their AI to speak with a human. Very frustrating
You are on a business trip anywhere in the world and you receive calls as if you are in the office. Thus is excellent

RingEX is used in coordination with NICE. We use RingEX across our entire organization, including our Call Center. We require an effective telephony solution/provider in order for us to effectively support our patient population and our providers. We also require a solution that works and is reliable. We have yet to find that solution within RingEX.

  • We rarely have an issue with getting dialtone on our hard phones

RingEX is our primary phone system used in both the call center and inter-office calls. It allows us to not have physical phones and only need a laptop when working remotely. This system is used company-wide.
  • Calls and Transfers are easy and intuitive.
  • Ability to text message.
  • The Hud allows you to see who is online and in what status.
  • Constant complaints from clients of echoing back of their own voice.
  • Occasional program crashes.
RingEX is solid for Call Centers other than the echo issues. It would probably less beneficial for a single user or small company.

RingEX is our current VoIP provider and telecommunications system. It is used by employees to make and take calls, by our support team to route calls and act as a group, by our operations team to route and forward calls as well as collect using a group number, and by sales to make outbound calls.
  • RingEX service is solid and resilient to issues.
  • RingEX is easy to manage as an admin. Users, login styles, extensions, hardware, extensions, and more are always configurable and it makes it easy to support users.
  • RingEX offers many hardware options. It is easy to procure new hardware as well as outfit older hardware with the help of an adapter.
  • RingEX keeps pushing people to a user interface that couldn't be less helpful. It is a "collaboration" platform that is fundamentally useless and to get to the actual softphone is sometimes hard to do given that the default is this other option.
  • RingEX is not easy to get support as an end-user. Support often blames issues on "jitter" though this is not usually the case.
RingEX is solid as a platform and does offer a full host of features to end-users and admins alike. It would fit well in many medium to large organisations who need IVR, call routing, answering services, hunt groups, and more. It is not very well suited for small companies or those with large call centres.

RingEX is being used by our entire small business for our phone system. We utilize it both for inbound/outbound communications with clients, as well as internal communications between employees as well. We also use RingEX for faxes and remote call support when employees are out of the office.
  • The RingEX "HUB" is really nice. It allows you to see specifically who in your organization is on the phone at any time, and who they're connected with. Very handy.
  • It's nice how easy it is to login on the app and switch where your calls are directed -makes it easy to move to your cell phone if required.
  • Voicemail transcription is quite useful, and works VERY well. I rarely have to listen to voicemails anymore, which is handy as all get out.
  • You can't see the HUB on your mobile app! As a manager, I wish I could login and see who's on the phone in real time, from my mobile device. It only works on a computer, sorta lame.
  • They have serious issues with how faxes are routed through their call system. If someone faxes a non-dedicated extension, the fax comes through as a VOICE call instead of fax! Super annoying - you pick up the phone to hear fax noises. We've had to adjust our internal processes because of this issue.
  • Call quality can sometimes be a bit laggy. Occasionally our customers will complain of choppiness, despite having a super-fast internet connection.
Great for SIMPLE call trees and user extensions. It has trouble with advanced call routing, in my experience. The "builder" for call trees is clunky and cumbersome and regularly drops changes prior to saving. I'm not a huge fan of that tool. We've ended up greatly reducing our call tree as users complained of delayed button responses and oddities when flowing through the queue. Often times RingEX support will unsuccessfully attempt to recreate the issue and just mark it as "closed" which can be frustrating.

We made the switch from RingEX to Zendesk Talk less than 1 month ago. Prior to the switch, our organization used RingEX for about 3 years. RingEX was used by our customer support and sales teams. All other departments had RingEX installed on their computers and used it as well for internal and external communications. RingEX was our one and only phone system. RingEX provides a quality softphone system for communication with customers via phone, fax, and text. Their internal communication app, Glip is also a useful tool.
  • RingEX's user interface is very easy to use. Just about everything is well labeled and has a purpose.
  • Live reporting. RingEX's Live Dashboard is very helpful to a management team to monitor the daily operations in real time and gain a good understanding of where the team stands for the day.
  • Headsets. RingEX has a partnership with Plantronics, so you have to use Plantronics headsets. Unfortunately there are only a few options to choose from; very cheap headsets with no noise cancelling, or extremely expensive headsets that were not necessary to waste money on. Our employees were not able to use their own personal headsets, no matter how good they were.
  • Limited IVR menu options. Without upgrading to their highest 'enterprise' level, which we did not need, we had very little flexibility with how we set up our IVR menu. It would have been nice to be able to implement a "Customer Call-Back" feature so our customers did not have to choose between leaving a voicemail or staying on hold forever, but unfortunately we did not have this option. Small to medium-size businesses have this need as well.
RingEX is well suited for many, many scenarios and companies. The larger the company gets, the less appropriate RingEX becomes. Reporting/Metrics become increasingly important as an organization scales. The quality of reporting has a direct impact on how well an organization's management team understands the companies strengths, weaknesses, and needs. In turn, this can have a direct impact on how many supervisors/managers a company needs to have on hand to be able to effectively manage the support team. I would recommend RingEX for small to medium-sized companies that do not have a strong need for detailed reporting or customizations. If you are looking for a quality platform that makes it simple to communicate with customers via phone, fax, and text.

We use RingEX as our primary phone, teleconferencing, and web conferencing solution. All of our physical phones at desks and in conference rooms are VOIP lines through them, and all of our team members are assigned a personal phone conferencing and web meeting account, which they use for interacting across our multiple offices, as well as with external clients and vendors.
  • Provisioning accounts per user and being able to get easy reporting about usage helps us to see exactly how much direct-phone vs conference line vs web meeting activity is happening.
  • Giving end users flexibility in managing calls - routing to soft phone instances, mobile app support, call forwarding, and voicemail management are all great.
  • It's really easy to call point-to-point in the organization if you know someone's extension.
  • Teleconference dial-in lines and web-conference dial-in lines are different numbers. This causes people confusion because they're not sure when to use which one.
  • Backend diagnostics for web meetings is weak - when people report having connection issues, or low quality audio/video, we can't troubleshoot why.
  • Their text/group chat/team messaging solutions feels bolted on to the other products. Phone, teleconference, chat, and web meeting are all pretty isolated products, and I wish they were more seamlessly integrated together.
  • Having separate desktop apps and mobile apps for basic Phone vs. Web Meetings confuses end users as to which to use.
  • Their Room-based meeting solution requires a lot of hardware purchasing and has something of a "DIY kit" feel to it.
Their basic phone service is great and high-quality audio. It's well suited to small and medium businesses looking to replace traditional landlines with an easy-to-use VOIP phone system. Their user management and admin navigation leave a lot to be desired and could stand to have a UX refresh. Their solution's admin capabilities, I believe, would not scale well out to hundreds or thousands of end users.

We use RingEX across the whole organization. Each of our employees has his/her own extension number which is very convenient. We use RingEX for phone calls, voice mails and conference calls, sometimes we use it for video meetings with our clients and it is very helpful that it has a screen sharing feature.
  • It allows each employee to have his/her own extension number which is very convenient
  • We are a small organization and RingEX has pretty affordable prices for small companies like ours.
  • Screen sharing feature is very helpful for video meetings with our clients and partners
  • Mobile app is good, but not very user friendly
  • Not all pricing options are shown on their website. When we called to customer service they showed us where to find other price options, but without their help we'd never find them. It'd be much more convenient if they showed all price options in one place.
  • User interface (both mobile and web) shows features that are not available in our plan, it is quite confusing
RingEX is a pretty good software product. In my opinion, RingEX is very well suited for any organization that needs a high quality phone communication system. I see that RingEX is very widely used in different business areas and by different sized companies: enterprises, medium businesses, small businesses and even by very small 2-3 person companies.

The entire company I work for and other companies that broke off of ours use it as their primary phone, fax, and meeting service. We use it for customers to call an automated queue with prompts. It guides them to different extensions and call queues. We do not have any physical fax machines. Everything we do is done through email or the apps to send and receive faxes.
  • Phones that also support fax. This sets them apart from Vonage and especially Microsoft that does not support faxing at all.
  • All of the apps work really well, especially the phone and meeting apps
  • They have a bunch of integrations, like with Google and Microsoft office applications that are useful
  • If you keep reusing users in the system, it will eventually lead to corruption. Whenever you reassign a phone number, it's best to delete the user and recreate it with the phone number.
  • Tracking support tickets could be better and I would like to be able to reopen them instead of creating a new ticket based and old ticket, based on a ticket, based on a ticket, etc.
  • They need to polish up their backend in general. We have random errors only they can fix about twice a month for our company size of about 250 extensions.
  • Their support chat is just text. It would be great to be able to have an email address so you can forward evidence of issues to them, be able to attach pictures or other files.
If you really do a lot of faxing or want one system that can handle both faxes and phones, this is the solution you should choose. You should certainly get away from faxing if you can, but we deal with many lawyers and medical centers that refuse to use emails, so this is our option. If you can break away from the archaically-old faxes, I would recommend getting the version of office that comes with Skype for business. That way you have your phones, emails, office licenses, chat, meetings, all in one solution. It's where we would like to be but can't since they don't support faxing.

RingEX is our current VOIP softphone tech. Our entire support and customer service teams use RingEX all day everyday. I love not having a bulky phone taking up real estate on my desk. As far as VOIP softphones are concerned, RingEX has handily satisfied all of our business needs at present. We have tried using others in the past, such as OnSIP, but they caused more pain points than solutions.
  • Group calling for training/shadowing purposes. As senior support, I frequently have teammates who want to be on the call (though muted) when I call customers back. RingEX makes this incredibly easy to do; dial my teammates ext, click the giant plus symbol, type in the customers number, then click "add." When I first discovered how easy it was to do this kind of group calling, I began leveraging it for more training opportunities.
  • Status updates makes it easy to set myself as available to take calls or unavailable. Often times a post-phone call requires research before I can answer another phone call. RingEX has a status bar update button (much like the old school days of AOL instant messenger), which allows me to accept or not accept inbound calls.
  • Easy to navigate settings menu. The softphone itself is very slim with the classic number arrangement you would expect and all further settings use icons to help configure the phone. I generally do not need to login to the RingEX website to perform basic configuration and can instead use the softphone app itself to do this.
  • Integrations. RingEX has an okay integration with our current ticketing system HelpScout. It will capture a voice transcription and place it as a new ticket in our inbox. Sometimes the transcription is not that great (listen to the voicemail), but the bigger thing is we have to leverage two different technologies (ticket system and VOIP softphone) to complete 1 task.
  • Call barging. To my knowledge, RingEX does not have the ability to allow someone to join your call without them being added to the call by one of the folks engaged in the call. What if I need to get a teammate or supervisor involved right away? Yes, I could transfer the call or dial them in, but that does not always feel like the best experience for the customer.
As I have mentioned before, RingEX has been a very valuable tool in training and shadowing with new and learning teammates. One of the things I believe is easily overlooked with a lot of VOIP softphones is ease of use. RingEX's dialing interface is a very seamless experience and has been an excellent replacement for a desktop hard phone.

I used the RingEX software service for a couple of clients at a specific advertising agency setting. The RingEX tool was a decent solution for call conversion tracking.
  • reporting dashboard
  • easily swap redirect numbers to and from your advertising efforts
  • auto voice features
  • a bit out dated ui
  • basic service that other companies provide
  • more customer service
Its one of the cheaper offerings and handles high volume at a basic level well.

We are using RingEX across several locations for both general VOIP capabilities as well RingEX Meetings.
  • I like the meetings capability. It seamlessly integrates with Outlook to make scheduling very easy.
  • The app works well across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • The VOIP service is a little laggy when we try to use it with other services like ConnectAndSell.
  • It would be great if you could set call recording preferences by state instead of generally.
I couldn't comment on where it is not suited as I'm a user and didn't evaluate this or other solutions.

RingEX is used as our primary telecommunications platform for phone calls via company extensions, web conferencing (audio, video & screen share) & IVR/call queue routing for support and sales teams. Each person in certain departments has a RingEX extension to have a business line/company telephone and a webinar/conferencing platform.

The software has always had little to no downtime. My sales executive was sometimes aloof.
