Zoom is used by our organisation at times when we have to engage with clients who are Zoom Business Customers. We are not, as we have another solution we use, but we use Zoom when needed and required. Zoom enables us to connect with key clients who have very fixed requirements as to the means that they communicate. Zoom is primarily used within the IT, product development and marketing departments.
  • The automatic quality adjustment algorithm is brilliant. It allows seamless calls and video without any drop in the actual quality of communication.
  • The ability to join a meeting from a browser allows clients to join calls when they are not allowed to install software on their computer.
  • Recordings of meetings can be stored in the cloud and reference kept of all calls for future use.
  • It is sometimes difficult to get to the button to leave a meeting.
  • Some call-drops have been experienced, but not common at all.
  • I have to dig really deep to find problems with Zoom, and I cannot think of any more.
Zoom is really well suited in the following scenarios:
  • Where clients do not have access to download physical software but are able to access the Zoom client in their browser.
  • Where personal and business clients enter the same calls.
  • Where flexibility is needed with regards to having from 1 to 1000 meeting/conference participants.
Zoom is not well suited to the following scenarios:
  • None!

We use Zoom for all customer calls as well as internal communication. We are currently evaluating moving all of our support center to Zoom. If their support solution is half as strong as their call solution, we'll be very excited about this solution.
  • Simple to use
  • Call quality
  • Rapid log on
  • Contact center solution is less robust (initially)
  • Setting up a call for real-time can take a bit of work if not pre-scheduled/set up
Zoom is great for scheduled calls. Could use a couple of refinements to be better for ad hoc calls.

One of my clients uses Zoom as a web conference tool to connect multiple suppliers across the country. I have no problems using the tool. In fact, I find it very practical, since it has a mobile version and I can access it while I am at the home office, for instance.
  • Easy connection.
  • Mobile version.
  • Clear sound and video.
  • The mobile interface could be easier and more intuitive.
Zoom is great for any business communication needs! I can't see it being very well suited for any personal use.

Our entire organization uses Zoom to communicate internally for everything from sales meetings 1:1's, all-hand events and more. Since the majority of our organization works remote, Zoom is critical for collaboration and communication between individuals, teams and even great for company-wide meetings. Zoom allows us to have a strong distributed workforce but still work efficiently and effectively the with tools and capabilities it provides.
  • Ease of use - You can quickly start a new meeting and invite participants via email or with a URL link. You can also easily share your screen, annotate, record, create breakout rooms and more. The app and interface are laid out perfectly and is simple to use, can be mastered very quickly.
  • Integrations - Zoom integrates super easily with a number of different tools. The ability to schedule calls/meetings right from the inbox saves a ton of time from having to manage and schedule with multiple logins or send an updated email invite with meeting information pre-call. Help to eliminate errors and coordinate more easily.
  • The overall suite of features and functionality is really great. Audio, video, chat, screen sharing, recording and more. There isn't really anything that is missing from Zoom and has all you could want in a collaboration and conferencing tool.
  • The ability to see chat conversations when in presentation mode/fullscreen.
  • Sometimes it won't recognize what audio options I have set up or will switch to one that is not the default. Might just be something with my computer setup but recognizing the in-use or default audio options is occasionally confusing but easy to fix.
  • When your internet connection is unstable you will receive a message that this is the case. There could maybe be a message that provides suggestions to help this such as turning off the video component or other app cues/ suggestions so doesn't continue to delay.
Zoom is perfect for any scenario where calls, meetings, demo's, or conferences are needed. Whether it be something internal or external, 1:1 or a webinar, it can cover a wide range of audiences and meeting needs. I have yet to find an area where it doesn't work well. I have mostly used it for 1:1 calls both internal or external and small team meetings or sales call with 3-4 people from either side it always performs flawlessly.

We use Zoom to deliver content and training to our customers as well as to conduct our meeting as most of our team is remote + spread across NA + SA. The business problem we have been able to solve using Zoom is that we are able to deliver a seamless experience to our customers throughout the world.
  • Screensharing
  • Video-sharing
  • Computer to cell-phone and vice-a-versa calls
  • Low bandwidth consumption
  • Ability to store recordings on the cloud
  • Android App UI is confusing.
  • It opens multiple windows and there are several unwanted options.
  • Google Calendar integration is from Zoom to Google, which is tricky as contact sync with Zoom is not that good.

We use Zoom across our organization and have encouraged the partners we work closely with to adopt use as well. We have a remote workforce and clients that are located across the US. Zoom helps us keep colleagues connected—whether it's through an immediate call or in-depth collaboration. It also allows us to save money on travel, as the interface is so reliable and intuitive that we can often simply use it instead of needing to present in-person. Granted, some of those are benefits of traditional web-conferencing, and we do use Slack as an internal web conferencing tool as well. But Zoom is the most intuitive large-scale web-conferencing tool we've found for connecting.
  • Provides every team member with a Personal ID and link for "instant meetings". This is awesome to use with clients where there's a need to connect quickly, and eliminates the problem caused by so many conference lines/services: that you're not sure if anyone else is already using it.
  • Zoom integrates beautifully with Calendly to assist with seamless scheduling of meetings.
  • Zoom is incredibly intuitive to use, even for our clients who aren't the most web-savvy.
  • Zoom's recording functionality is intuitive and seamless.
  • Occasionally, Zoom can cause your computer to freeze as you're trying to open it and log into a meeting. This seems to be a result of not having downloaded the latest update.
Zoom is incredibly well-suited for any meeting of remote groups or teams, and for large online conferences (e.g., 10+ people). Screen sharing is easy, as is changing hosts. It's less appropriate if you already use a collaboration software—like Slack—and don't frequently have a need to loop in parties outside of that software. In that case, it's easier to use Slack's call functionality if the call is between a limited number of parties who all use the software.

We use Zoom for meetings during UAT and remote sessions for our multiple sites as well as with remote users outside of our standard office ecosystem. Most are for sub-20 person discussions using both Screenshare and Video. We are using this mostly in web development and I, however, Marketing and Sales use it as well for internal webinars with outside parties.
  • Good video conferencing quality and is easy to deploy
  • Lightweight system needs versus skpye lync communicator mean a responsive user interface
  • Can handle large groups and has telcon features not found in some basic business messaging apps
  • Make a longer screen share time for personal
  • improve settings to control auto video chat
  • UI can be a bit difficult to use at times.
Zoom is good to use for remote sessions or multiple sites as well as with remote users outside of our standard office ecosystem such as freelancers, agencies, etc. who need to be part of internal meetings but may not be on skype/etc. It excels for meetings that use both Screenshare and Video. Good for teams in web development and IT, however, Marketing and Sales use cases work as well.

Zoom is used across the whole organization for remote meetings and calls. We use it for one-on-one meetings, larger meetings, all-staff meetings, and board meetings. Zoom allows our organization to have a reliable and easy to use system for any meeting type, as some of our staff works remotely from all around the world.
  • Reliability -- the video and audio quality is good and steady.
  • Recordings -- Zoom allows meetings to be recorded in the cloud and downloaded at a later date.
  • Meeting options -- Zoom allows you to adjust meeting settings to meet your needs, such as having a waiting room, automatic muting, and more.
  • Expensive at scale -- Zoom requires each user have a separate license, instead of allowing an IT team to centrally manage and arrange meetings.
  • No automatic meeting transcriptions on the Business Pro plan.
  • Sloppy code -- Zoom has had a couple of privacy snafus due to the poor code quality of their software. This leads to a lack of trust between Zoom and their customers.
Zoom is well suited for a small to medium-sized team, especially if that team includes remote workers. Zoom works best when its users have some technical ability and are able to adjust audio and video settings on the software. Zoom also works well for meetings in which a presentation is given, as the host can easily share their screen to all meeting attendees.

We are using Zoom for our sales calls, customer service calls, and internal meetings as well.
  • Screen share is great
  • Love the ability to add different backgrounds.
  • More reliable than other apps I've used. Including the big guys.
  • Making it easier to find the join audio and screen share buttons. People not used to the tool almost always seem to have trouble finding those buttons.
When you need to do a screen share our audio call, it works great.

We use Zoom in my department when we need to share screens during a meeting that includes more than one location. This typically is used during training. It is helpful to be able to see a user's screen to show them how to use a system. This is much more productive than trying to complete system training via phone only.
  • It is user-friendly; easy to use.
  • It's intuitive; easy to navigate.
  • Using Zoom increases productivity; saves time.
  • I can't say that there is anything that is hard to use. The only issue I've run into is having the connection drop and having to get reconnected. I don't know if that happens as a result of an issue with Zoom or whether the issue is our internet connection.
Zoom is super for remote system training. Before we used Zoom, we would do this via phone and people had to try to verbally describe what they were seeing on their computer screen which can be very frustrating. Now, we can share screens and see what people are describing—just point and click while having a verbal conversation. This is a great timesaver and makes training so much easier.

We use Zoom for video conferencing and screen sharing. Our executive leadership team mostly uses it for interfacing with clients when we cannot meet in person. It's an easy solution for connecting with people, does not take a whole lot of expertise to make work, and is generally plug and play for everyone.
  • One on One conferencing is quick and easy.
  • Even free options offer robust tools and options.
  • Screen share and user controls make collaboration simple.
  • Connecting peripherals is a little cumbersome.
  • The interface isn't beautiful. Minor quibble though, everything is functional.
We use Zoom for video conferencing with clients. We like it because it's really easy to start a conference, invite someone to it and get rolling without much setup or technical know-how. More complicated needs or setups might run into trouble connecting peripherals or administering larger meetings, but for our everyday face to face communication needs, Zoom shines by making the process simple.

Zoom is currently used throughout our organization to provide a virtual meeting room which helps in online collaboration of cross-functional units from offices scattered geographically. We also use Zoom to have meetings with our clients and prospective clients regularly. By using Zoom we increase efficiency by cutting cost and saving time.
  • Simple and intuitive home screen.
  • Easy scheduling for a recurring meeting.
  • Integration with email clients to send meeting invites.
  • Ability to use a more intuitive meeting ID will help improve meeting identification.
  • Finding a meeting recording sometimes can be challenging.
  • Limited toll-free dial-in number.
Zoom is well suited for organizations which require collaborations from cross-functional units which disperse to multiple offices with significant geographical distance where each office has access to the internet. The use of virtual meeting room can also resolve meeting space problems which for some organizations with limited office space availability.

A large number of our outside vendors use Zoom as their web conferencing solution of choice. We regularly get invited to Zoom meetings to collaborate with those vendors. At first, I was hesitant to deal with yet another conferencing solution, but Zoom has been one of the easiest to use. It seems like there's much less to join and collaborate efficiently with our vendors.
  • Easy to onboard new users.
  • Easy to join from pretty much any device.
  • Good call quality.
  • Zoom has been great, and I don't really know anything that they could do better.
Zoom works very well for screen sharing and conference calls. I've had great experiences working with consultants using Zoom and never really had an issue with Zoom. I can't say the same thing for some of the other competitors and in fact, have a few coworkers that regularly struggle with Webex that haven't had any issues joining/using Zoom.

Zoom is a great software for meetings and call conference that makes the life easier with a click. It provides a wide range of audio options inside the software, and you can choose if you want to do only video call or audio. I could describe this software as very interactive.
  • Web conference.
  • Video call meetings.
  • Group chat between peers.
  • Connection stabilization when doing video calls.
  • It needs a message inbox, as that does not exist.
  • It has a very dim interface. It needs more colors.
Organizations that have several meetings throughout their day are meant to have a software like Zoom. This can also be used by persons, no need for a business account. It's great for video calls and conference calls. Its purpose is to communicate while having flexibility; you can call by your cellphone, laptop, ipad or desktop.

Zoom recently replaced GoToMeeting as our company-wide virtual conference platform. The quality of the calls and interaction features allows for improved meeting involvement amongst all parties. This resource helps team members to connect from many remote locations from jobsites, home office, client offices to maximize meeting time and reduce travel expenses.
  • The annotation feature allow many options from linework, text to highlighting where user cursors are.
  • Screen sharing is simple and has options to share specific applications.
  • The video conference capability is smooth and i like how it highlights the current speaker.
  • Tracking meeting attendance after a meeting is done is hard to locate.
  • Sharing just a link to the meeting copies a lot of extra info not needed.
  • Ability to see who a phone caller is only shows a phone number and doesn't relate to a screen attendee.
Zoom, like many video team communication tools, helps organizations keep travel costs down by getting everyone connected with great visual and audio features to review meeting content and allow everyone simple ways to interact.

We use Zoom primarily for teaching synchronous online language courses (e.g. Research Writing for International Graduate Students). We also use Zoom for bringing in faculty and\or students who are offsite (e.g. on sabbatical or something). Although it started out being used just by the International Composition program, we ultimately got the College of Arts and Sciences to adopt Zoom as well.
  • Zoom is a brilliantly streamlined, lightweight but powerful videoconferencing solution that makes it easy for users to connect and to interact with one another in all the ways necessary for an online classroom.
  • It also makes it easy for lots of users to connect from virtually any platform.
  • In language teaching and learning, authentic face-to-face language interaction is crucial, and this software has allowed for an almost one-to-one approximation of face-to-face language teaching.
  • So far, there's very very little that Zoom could improve.
  • Scheduling can be a little bit tricky, as Zoom doesn't always integrate flawlessly with Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
I'm using this software in a graduate-level online course called Academic English for International Graduate Students. In language teaching and learning, authentic face-to-face language interaction is crucial, and this software has allowed for an almost one-to-one approximation of face-to-face language teaching. We've also used this regularly for bringing in offsite users for meetings, and it's always worked great. Frankly, again, there's very little that Zoom hasn't worked well for.

I'm a remote employee at an organization where everyone else works on campus, so I use Zoom frequently to meet face-to-face with my colleagues. The free version is great, though it does have some restrictions that we haven't found to be dealbreakers. Others at the school use it as well, but I use it more than almost everyone, I'd expect.
  • Easy to use: I have the software, but you can join a meeting from a browser as well.
  • Virtual background: It's super fun to play with green screen backgrounds. No fancy software is needed, and it actually works better than most green screen software I've tried!
  • The video quality is top-notch!
  • I honestly can't think of anything that Zoom could do to improve. All of the limitations with the free version go away with the paid version, which is totally fair. I am very impressed with the product, and haven't used a better web conferencing tool.
Zoom (basic) is free, so there's nothing to lose giving it a shot! Our school has a few paid accounts, but most of us just use the free version. It really does work great for every scenario I've tried -- video conferencing and screensharing, large group calls, you name it! I highly recommend Zoom!

It is used in the front end sales department, when we attend the CRM related training or webinars. We are the participants in the meeting invite sent via Zoom by our CRM vendor. It is an easy to use tool with good features and simple installation. Also, the very handy Q&A section is available for webinars.
  • Webinars are very easy and quick to use.
  • You can mute all users.
  • You can provide features like 'raise hand' and 'Q&A.'
  • Screensharing can be further improved.
Zoom is perfect for big group meetings and webinars. It is very simple to use, all the meeting audience can be sent a link -- they can do one-click download for the first time, and can use it for multiple meetings. The webinars I attended on Zoom were hassle-free, no interruptions. Features like Q&A and 'raise hand' were impressive.

Zoom is available to our entire institution, both employees and students, at no additional cost. Any user can schedule or join meetings from any device, including personal devices. It is our sole videoconferencing solution, and is occasionally used as an ad-hoc recording platform. It also delivers content to our long-term video storage and distribution platform.
  • Zoom is very intuitive for first-time users to join a meeting.
  • The scheduling extension in Outlook makes planning future calls simple and easy.
  • Sharing your screen is both high quality and easy to do.
  • Zoom has some features like the whiteboard that are difficult to stumble across, and many users are unaware of them.
  • The cloud recordings are of high quality, but there is no warning when you start recording that it will only be available for 30 days.
  • It would be nice to record tracks of individual video and audio for post-production later.
Zoom is the best system I have used for videoconferencing, both scheduled ahead of time and dropping in as needed. I wish it was updated less frequently. It seems like every other time I open the app it needs to update. Zoom can record your webcam or screen, and many users use it for that, but since that isn't really it's purpose in these scenarios, users often wish it had features that aren't available, like mouse effects or editing.

Zoom is an audio/ video conferencing platform that is used within our organization by each of the employees. So for any back and forth for Instant Messaging or if we need to have one-to-one or conference calls, Zoom is a seamless platform. This tool is not limited to a single department; rather, it is used by the whole organization for all of our communication purposes. Although there are a number of tools available in the market, Zoom is the latest platform which offers a very smooth connect, which is not offered by all the other available solutions.
  • Amazing Mobile Application: Zoom's mobile application is the best so far that I have used for connecting in conferences or one-to-one calls. No voice drops, and a smooth transition from mobile data to wifi connections. Never will you feel that voice quality is bad. Even if there is a serious disruption in the Internet, still the tool manages and quickly fast forwards the whole conversation so that you do not miss on any of the topics.
  • The screen can be viewed and controlled from the Mobile device itself: This feature is one of a kind, and is nearly impossible to find in any of the other conference platforms. No matter where you connect the call from, the screen presentation works across all the platforms without any lag.
  • It does not require sign-in to connect: You can simply dial into the meetings without actually signing in anywhere. Simply click on the link and you are in the meeting. This is also a one of a kind feature that simply pulls your credentials from the device you are connecting from. It is super easy, and works perfectly every-time without fail.
  • There are no cons that I have come across for this platform. However, a very small change that I would recommend is to keep some distance in Mute and Video on/off buttons, because someone can accidentally click the buttons, and then it is a very difficult situation to manage. Everything else is up to the mark in this platform.
Zoom is well suited for all sorts of communications. Whether it's a personal call or a business call/ conference with leadership, this tool will never fail you on anything. Even if you are working in a place with bad Internet speeds, still this tool will never disappoint you, and always manages to maintain A class voice quality at all times.

Our entire organization uses Zoom per department usually. We utilize the software to provide recorded, screen shared training, as well as sales calls or any other conference call with current or potential clients. We use Zoom for calls with just one other person or multiple people. It really serves us well all around.
  • Recordings - These are vital for us for training. We cover a lot when we train a client on a new project, and because of the recorded zoom calls, we have saved ourselves a lot of time from having to answer follow up phone calls when someone forgets how to do a particular item we trained on because they now have the recorded zoom call to refer back to.
  • Screen shares - We love utilizing screen shares for training and analytical calls. Screensharing is a must for training, but to be able to have screen sharing when explaining an analytical report to a client is such a bonus for the client. We can look at reports together and go over exactly what each section means without having to verbally describe a graph or statistical range.
  • Integrations - Being able to integrate with Outlook makes booking meetings fairly seamless.
  • Reliability - This has gotten better over the last couple of years but this is one area you don't want to have technical issues. Usually, a technical issue can be audio or spotty visual. Visuals have been great lately but every now and then we have technical difficulties with audio connecting that is not related to user error.
  • Integrations - It would be nice to see zoom integrate with more platforms. This is probably already in the works, but the more the better in my opinion in order to cover the needs of a wider audience.
  • Creativity - It would be an added benefit to having the platform utilize some more 'fun' options like emojis or screen effects. These are not always appropriate but when it is, it's just a great way to brighten the atmosphere in the business world.
Zoom is well suited for conference calls. Specifically in our area for training and current client report explanations. It's less appropriate for one on one calls with fellow employees and managers. We utilize Zoom whether we're screen sharing or not, recording or not, it's truly beneficial for most of our needs.

My company uses Zoom for meeting with clients in our conference rooms and when we use screen sharing from our various desks. I mainly use Zoom when we have meetings for ad buying and ad placement agencies. We can easily screen share and go through Decks with clients and their partners. Everyone can easily join.
  • Ease of use for first-time users.
  • It works across multiple devices so we don't have to just use our macs.
  • Recording meetings is very easy.
  • Large group meetings can get chaotic and the muting options don't allow for a lot of customization.
  • The user interface is not particularly smooth.
Zoom is great for any team looking to make communications more personal. It integrates well with a number of vendors such as Slack. It is also well suited for companies performing demos or support as it is easy to use and gives users a much better experience with video and screen sharing.
