QuickBooks Online - Small to mid size companies - Ease of use and customer support. Great interaction with POS systems. Best out of the box experience. QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise not good for new users - Consider hiring professional accounting consultant for training and reconciliation.

NetSuite ERP is a nice system since it is cloud-based. Although the reporting capabilities for NetSuite ERP are much for robust, it can be very daunting to use since there are so many fields to choose from, many of which are hard to distinguish. Having 6 memo fields to choose from is not easy as you don't know which memo field you need! I prefer the QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise reporting over NetSuite ERP.

Bill.com - Because it is the specialised AP Management portal that comes with approval and payment workflow in itself and syncs with QB. Expensify - Because it is the intelligent Expense reimbursement tool that QuickBooks Desktop doesn't offer.

GP may be appropriate for very large organizations requiring strict audit controls. Having supported the product since its Version 1 days, I found it to be clunky, slow, and bug-riddled in its early days. Today, after many upgrades, it is fine, but it is saddled with 25-year-old technology. Once QD Desktop was released, quickly became the standard, and its big brother, QBD Enterprise was released. I moved ALL, yes, ALL of my Dynamics GP customers to QBDE.

The previous version of QuickBooks we used doesn't seem to be listed here. The only negative thing about Enterprise is the pesky updates. They really do slow us down and take quite a while to fix when there is a problem. Hopefully, they will get the updates fixed sooner rather than later. Our tech support said many many companies are having even more problems than we do regarding the updates.

All competitors do invoice and a/p. Many of the listed competitors do better asset tracking and inventory. The larger packages get too complex too quickly and become an administrative burden as well as an implementation burden. QuickBooks is easier to set up the COA and modify the COA. Reporting in the other packages ranges from worse to better with the better providing third-party embedded tools that outshine QuickBooks.

It doesn't even compare to |Sage or Peachtree at all. We used Sage for over 25 years and in all of those years, we had less than 1% of the problems we have experienced with QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop in just 2 years. Wish we have Never switched to QuickBooks!!

Sage is offline, very cumbersome to work with and does not have the type of features that quickbooks has. Sage was pretty horrible to work with. Trying to find reports was awful and running payroll was difficult. Quickbooks is far superior to Sage and would never recommend Sage to anyone.

The payroll features are far from none on QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. The lack of such features on Desktop Pro leave one posting their own remittance calculations, doing the reporting, and maintaining a database for such.

By comparing all these 3 tools. Quick Books approach is more intuitive, educative, lot of insights about yearly/quarterly state-wise changes, may it be forms, etc. while others are like they take a long time to release updates. QuickBooks support team and the tool knowledge base have to be appreciated. Moreover, FreshBooks, Xero, etc., are not corporate-level tools.

Quickbooks is an industry leader and have produced a product that they can be proud of. This takes small businesses and brings them to a place where they can compete on many different levels. It does not require a major accounting background to operate. You can jump in with two feet and be confident.
