It is great way to organize both our candidate/applicants as well as job orders and client information. The interface is easy to use and will help revolutionize they way you can access and organize data in many streams. It helps us with Process Mapping and Change Management also as we can see trends in activity and adjust accordingly,Candidate Tracking and Management - Easily pull up all required info and exchanges between our company and candidates Client Database building - track orders and forecast clients needs Customization - make the UI work for you not the other way around,The UI could still come a bit further. The new Novo Interface is even better and a lot handier.,The submission tracking of a candidate and where they are at in the process. Resume Parsing, auto populating the information makes the work easy. Bullhorn enables other applications to be linked to it as well, eg- Textus, which makes the work easy in contacting candidates.,I think just the timing, sometimes the candidate information ton the notes section takes a bit time to load unless I immediately click, but this could be a network issue. Mainly, recruiters and branch managers use it. We use Bullhorn to manage our applicants and where there are in the process of being hired or interviewed. We are able to filter our applicants by using shortlists and tearsheets. Even if we don't have a position for the applicant, we can put them on a tearsheet or shortlist for future openings. We are also able to easily search for our applicants with their phone numbers or names making it easier to pull up their file. I use Bullhorn for probably 75-80% of my business functions with recruiting. I am not sure how I would manage without Bullhorn.,Filtering candidates Locating candidates files Keeping track of where everyone is in the process Notes - leaving notes helps our entire company see where we are with each candidate,Shortlist status - it is tedius to have different notes and different shortlist status. It's very fast, very reliable, and user-friendly. I can do a quick search of who is calling me just by entering the phone number in the system. It saves time in resume submissions, contact details, and other data, and the interface that helps with tracking candidates in a timely manner. Interactions between team members through Bullhorn is awesome, as you can send notes directly to email accounts to ensure they're seen.,It fetches the right resumes with the right keywords and filters. One of my favorite features is for mass email. Once you have the right candidates you just have to add them in a Tearsheet and just do mass emails to them. It saves times and effort.,I wish we could see the name of the candidates attached to a job with notes. Instead, we have to click and go inside to check who is the candidate attached to that job.,9,It helped me in going back to my previous candidate submissions to find out any right candidates that I have worked with in the past. There are a lot of unnecessary tools or cards that can make the screen seem cluttered sometimes. It would be nice to be able to delete notes or submissions if they're accidentally put on the wrong jobs. For the TextUs integration, I think it'd be better if there was a tab for texts like there is for emails, rather than being added to the Notes field and making it very difficult to go back and find the information you need. Duplicate candidates in BH -- it would be great if you could combine the accounts and delete one of them.,8,Great CRM tool to ease the recruitment processBullhorn is a great ATS and CRM tool to use. Currently, there's no data mining tool available at no cost, which would allow us to clean the data. Adding notes is very easy and can be categorized based on the type of interaction it is: email, text, phone call, etc. Integrations with many 3rd party vendors that are already widely used by recruiting and staffing agencies.,Reporting: out of the box reporting is not very detailed or easy to navigate. In order to get better detailed and specific reports, you either need their Canvas product or pay for a 3rd party vendor. Customization: will get better with NOVO Experience update, but many users still don't have it. Bullhorn helps to standardize the process and track the progression of roles and candidates. This enables consistent reporting across the organization so as a team, you can look for areas of success and areas that require improvement.,Candidate Management- it is very easy to track and search your candidates. Candidates are the heart of your ATS in staffing and Bullhorn does a great job of making those candidates accessible. Job Order Management-Being able to keep your job orders managed in a way that keeps you closest to money is a one of the best parts of the system. You can filter your lists, schedule your followups and keep on top of the orders that are the most urgent. Configuration- the ability to configure the tool to the look and feel that matches your business. Bullhorn CRM allows Account Managers to do their prospecting without cluttering the Company and Contact List with Company and Contacts that are not buyers or individuals that do not using staffing, not decision makers, etc. Leads allows AM's to pursue those individual within a different entity until they are vetted as buyers. The opportunities allow you to track those longer range opportunities versus storing them in a notebook or on an excel document. They become company IP for down the road. Configuration of the CRM is huge asset. We have changed and configured our workflow several times over the past few years until we have decided on the workflow we want to move forward with. The tool allowed us to make these changes as we saw fit and without the time and cost of having to go through a PS channel. The Lead and Opportunity dashboards help to keep you on track in a visual way so you can see the time cycle of your leads and opportunities.,Submission Management- Although there is a submission entity in Bullhorn that allows you to do a lot of things, this is one area that could still use improvement in terms of the ability to search web responses more efficiently and displaying of the pay/bill rates that are entered within the submission process. More configuration here would be great.,9,Bullhorn has helped with the standardization of data which allows us to track our high, low and in between individuals. It allows for corporate bench marks to be tracked. It also allows for a closer look at all of the data points to make decisions versus making decisions based on perceptions. The data has definitely helped us make better business decisions because of the reporting capabilities. Bullhorn has some great marketplace partners and additional products like VMS Access that help with your VMS clients. This is a real time saver.,One Stop Shop for CRMBullhorn was used on both the Recruitment and Sales side of our organization. It allows both divisions to effectively communicate with each other with no downtime waiting for a call or email back. For onboarding, payroll and human resource related questions it was very easy to navigate and see where someone left off if an issue needed to be escalated. It has definitely increased efficiency and teamwork across the board. There are many features that help the recruiters access information and files at a faster pace. They are able to make a submission to a placement in record time. The notes features really helps keep us all on the same level of information and knowledge of how our current and active candidates are doing as well as our prospective candidates.,Notes features is a real hit with our recruiters. Merging records whether it be duplicate jobs or candidates helps minimize duplicate information. Everything is well connected, for instance a client will show all of the open jobs.,There are a lot of small features I would like to see as an admin such as bulk update en mass on occupation for users. The limit to the amount of "Customtext" options under field mapping could be higher. I would like more options to generate different types of report in different formats.,9,With Bullhorn we are able to work closer as a team which helps bring in more candidates because it increase workflow productivity. We have never come across down time with Bullhorn therefore we can login at any time and resume work. Bullhorn allows everyone from consultants to senior management and the board to see activity, which jobs are being worked on currently, any records which have been added recently, and other useful information. This means we are able to understand our pipeline over the coming months, if we are bringing in new business (or need a BD drive). Bullhorn also prevents awkward conversations where consultants are asking the same questions - all the information is there for everyone to see !,Bullhorn is really intuitive, there is so much capability, but as the database is so easy to use this isn't a problem. The support team are fantastic; I can't praise them enough. I raise so many tickets and they always do their best to help. We have customised our database a lot and integrated various partners to help us be the best we can. Bullhorn has always been able to cope with our demands and help us progress as a business.,It would be useful to have more custom fields available. On placement records, the commissions are automatically split 50/50 - something which bugs our consultants as we often need the commissions to be set to 100% for reporting (unless there is a split). The Bullhorn ATS makes it super easy to get your candidate's information into the system. Bullhorn Outlook Gadget works from inside Outlook to let you easily add resumes or other documents to records in Bullhorn or create new records. It works great and has made this process so much easier for our team. The API that Bullhorn has available is a great way to automate some of your processes if you know how to utilize it. Bullhorn also provides some detailed instructions for other admins like me who want to learn more about it. Support - Bullhorn's support team is phenomenal. They constantly go above and beyond my expectations to make sure any issues are resolved.,Editing resumes from within Bullhorn is not something they do, but it was something we had in our last system and it has been hard to adjust to not having this. Proconnect- a web-based tracking tool used by an organization like Randstad, they do have an extensive database. but it is a bit outdated and slow in terms of technology.
RMS tracker- Extensively used in the Manufacturing Recruiting agency, I liked the tool as it saved my last few activities (Now NOVO has the same feature), really helps. But the RMS tool is tedious and slow.

We used custom match as well, Bullhorn is easier, more modern, and tech savy. I prefer Bullhorn to that because there are more things to see and do with each candidate. I just sometimes forget about candidates, so tasks would be nice to remind me what I need to do next with each candidate.

Any of the products above are better than Bullhorn. Even Jobvite does a better job. They're just more comprehensive and cover all areas. I wouldn't select Bullhorn before these products and there are many more that I'd probably try before resorting to BH. It's a shame because I see what they're going for. As I mentioned before, it just doesn't feel realized yet.

I used PCR for about 6 years and became a master at managing it and cleaning data from within. I had almost total control over everything. With Bullhorn, it's different since much higher level operations are either hidden or inaccessible to the average user. PCR was easier to manipulate, and you are able to essentially use it for free if you host it on your server.

I did not choose Bullhorn at my current company, it was already implemented before I joined.

Bullhorn is our CRM and Applicant Tracking system for the recruitment arm of our business. We have been using Bullhorn for about 5 years, and have seen lots of innovation and changes in the software in this time. Because of the integrations with other software, it is also used by finance / HR and our services arm to manage contractors, invoicing and time-sheeting.

Bullhorn is okay stacked up against the others. Avionte is definitely easy to learn and has a back office function but it is very primitive. Salesforce is not very intuitive. PeopleSoft is great but the reporting tends to be difficult for a lot of people to run. Brightmove is great, easy to learn, customizable, has invoicing functions, job board functions, social media and email integration and is easy to learn.

I am a strong believer that Bullhorn has improved nicely over the years. You do not have to be a technical guru in order to use 99.9% of the functions. It really is a one-stop shop. You are able to edit and make changes as you go to have more of a positive impact on your business needs.

Bullhorn is much faster, easier to use and far exceeds VoltTrack's expectations on candidate organization, reporting, and sales efforts. The only advantage VoltTrack has over Bullhorn is that recruiting is much smoother, you can color code keywords, candidates show up with a preview and highlighting, and they are organized by how strong they are.

We are dropping our legacy system API healthcare because it looks like it comes from Windows 95. Too many company keep buying them out and realizing that it is not modern and updated to new world standards. It has multiple logins which make workflow productivity difficult especially when you get timed out.

However, we have never had the desire to stray from Bullhorn as they have always been able to provide what we need and haven't held us back as a business.

I've only used two recruitment CRMs prior to Bullhorn. The first was a homebrewed CRM platform and the second was SmartSearch. Bullhorn is vastly superior to both in terms of functionality, ease of use, and stability.

Alternatives Considered

Bullhorn works great in the staffing and recruiting industry. Other CRMs take a lot of set up time and can be cumbersome. Bullhorn is easy to set up and customizable to each user's preferences. Bullhorn's support team is very helpful and responsive - very effective each time that I have called them.
