We tried it as one my developers swore up and down how good it was at the startup... well it crashed in our office, since we didn't end up working the way they did. We are more of a dev ops company than a social media or open source

Asana has all required features that I was looking from the above product that is; project management
Team collaboration and great functionality. Asana also allows integrations with other products such as google calendar which is not applicable with GlobalMeet for instance. Asana has a reasonable pricing while offering all these features.

Trello's look and feel could be more attractive for the creatives but Asana provides a more "logical" approach which is appealing to the technical types. It feels like Trello provides more degrees of freedom of use which could make collaboration a bit less structured and could make it harder for a new team member to effectively contribute.

It's been several years ago that I used it, but I didn't like Trello. I see why people like the visual layout, but I prefer the list view of Asana. Additionally, as a writer, I like being able to bold/italics/underline/bullet the formatting within tasks. In Trello, I couldn't do that, and for whatever reason, I felt like I was always commenting in the wrong place/project for Trello. It also didn't have the repeating tasks. And it wasn't as streamlined to create tasks and add them to projects. Overall, I just really didn't care for Trello, and even if that was the only option, I probably wouldn't use it. But I love Asana and have recommended it many times to peers.

Asana is a great tool. We moved from Asana to ClickUp because we felt the user interface was better for our PMs and for our clients. The product itself worked really well, but we were spending a lot of time training our clients how to use it so that we could then work smoothly.

We searched for a new product in ClickUp and have been happy with it.

Asana is the best for task management, it’s easy to use and streamlined for team members to use with minimal intervention. It’s a lot nicer to use compared to similar products like Projectplace although there is some difference in features. It has much better features in terms of tracking and task assignment than Microsoft Teams which is the alternative, but does lack the seamless integration.

I like Nifty as this has time sheets, however we preferred the clean interface of Asana. Nifty was a bit overwhelming when we tried it. Their app on Android wasn't anywhere near as mature as Asana's app.

Plutio is great and has many features, but we preferred the look of Asana.

When we were researching project management systems for our small business, Asana gave us the most for free. It really allowed us to dive into the product before we committed to it. The features allowed us to customize aspects of the system to use it for projects as well as checklists and reoccurring task lists.

  1. Asana is cross-platformed and is easy and quickly reachable via a web browser.
  2. It has permissions, filters, reports, tags, comments, etc. All these features allow tracking day-by-day activities of the team as well as weekly/ monthly milestones and reporting.
  3. It is quick, responsive, user-friendly, and has unicorns who appear randomly when you resolve the task. This really motivates and adds some cuteness to your work process :)

We selected ASANA based on the feature set, and ease of rollout. monday.com had very good workflow automation but we found that ASANA was quicker and easier for staff to build a task eco-system that worked for them.
Zoho Projects was a very strong contender but was much more expensive and so ASANA was the more effective choice across the board.

Asana had more useful features, is a more mature product and a better interface than Microsoft Planner while Microsoft Project was harder for the average person to learn and hit the ground running due to it complexity making Asana that nice middle ground for most persons to use, learn and be productive.

I have used many tools for project management but Asana is the tool that has fulfilled my all requirements and given me satisfying and reliable services at a good price. I easily manage all projects and track them in advanced ways. [I] highly suggest [this] tool, I assure you it will help you a lot in improving the productivity of your organization.

I used Wrike a few years ago. It was just okey, less configurable, harder to navigate than Asana. Maybe they improved their user experience over the years. I have also used Jira Software (not being on a development team) to structure projects and work sprints. This tool was great, easy to configure for admin [teams] and it has tons of analytics.

Wrike is similar but JUST a bit more cumbersome in every way. So if something takes 1-2 clicks in Asana it will take 3-4 in Wrike. Just enough of a lift that it makes it hard for people to just get started working. Instead, you must change your employees to think the way that Wrike wants you to by giving them dedicated training.

[In my experience,] Jira just plain sucks in comparison. If something takes 1-2 clicks in Asana it takes 10 or more in Jira. Jira FORCES you to enter everything right away and just is painful and cumbersome. There is ZERO chance I could have deployed Jira to the marketing, design & finance teams and had them use it in any serious way because of how painful it is and how specific it is to a particular type of software development.

Asana is the best of both worlds because it allows multiple views of your tasks and dashboards for project managers to review. Some of the competitors only allow one way of working, which can be a roadblock for users who are less flexible in their workflow. Getting all users to buy in and use it to its fullest is where apps like this shine.

Asana is by far the better system for us. Both Basecamp and Microsoft Teams flood you with reminders and email updates, whereas we are specifically trying to reduce emails. Asana is also very affordable and scalable for small teams.

Asana generally takes less time to set up, so for my small team that has limited experience working with project management tools, Asana is great. We didn't need anything with lots of bells and whistles so Asana works well. ClickUp takes much more time to set up initially, but has many more bells and whistles (i.e. custom statuses, the ability to comment on subtasks, time tracking, etc.). Basecamp is also straightforward to setup, but has a slight leg up on Asana because of the document management feature.

Asana hit our sweet spot of easy to try, appropriate pricing for our mid size non-profit team, flexibility, and features. Lots of other platforms have very similar features organized in other ways, but Asana made sense and was fun to work with right off the bat. there were other good options but I'm glad we're with Asana
