In my many years as Lindsey's primary web developer, I have not needed to scale larger than what's currently provided. I will say that as more and more products are added to the sheet music site, it can be difficult to keep track of the different products but BigCommerce does provide a clear and easy way to locate, update, and add new products.

I would say the scalability is the best part of BigCommerce, it comes with built in tools like abandon cart recovery for example. Using the abandon cart recovery as an example, it does a good job of automatically reaching out to our customers for us to tell them hey you forgot something in your cart here is a coupon code for it, but by downloading apps that partner with the BigCommerce marketplace we were able to make a better notification for people that had abandoned their carts. BigCommerce has lots of apps but at least it has things built into it so they aren't as necessary as other ecommerce platforms.

BigCommerce Cart offers scalability - the only challenge we have had is the phasing out of existing templates (no support) and the lack of viable templates with full inventory display on home page. We have clients with both paid and basic themes, and upgrading is not an option if we cannot find a theme option with inventory display (NOT CAROUSEL). EStores need to feature 20+ products on home page all the time, the carousel is only viable on desktop and it can only display 5-6 items without scrolling, not our idea of good product display. Home page products outsell all outer products in store, need to have enough display space to feature more than what is available in a stupid carousel.

BigCommerce allows you the flexibility to customer things on the front end and the back end. There are plenty of integrations that are already in place which is helpful but what is more helpful is that they give you the freedom to build your own bespoke suite of tools to help you grow and scale the business.

The product is easy to use, enabling our small business to sell online, while not requiring external support (IT). We appreciate the availability to integrate videos in your product listings. Apps are easy to use with the themes. We have a small business, but feel that, as we grow, BigCommerce is already prepared for our needs.

The platform is flexible and allows sites to be on different plans. For example, we have 2 sites on their Enterprise plan, but kept 1 other site at a lower plan since it was more cost effective. If that one continues to grow, we'll eventually have to move that to the Enterprise level (when exceed $400k/year), but that is a simple change when that time comes and won't require us to redo anything.

It is cost effective from the start and easy to setup without any website coding knowledge, you only need common sense , great platform for e commerce startups or seasoned professionals.

As I've mentioned, it's robust. It can handle what you throw at it. It's flexible and scalable, whether you're a company of 1 or 1,000,000, it offers what you need. It's always seeking to improve and adding new features that are helpful and actually work. There are other software platforms out there that seem sleeker, but in terms of solid, dependable, full control of your business, BigCommerce wins, hands down.

There is so much room to grow with BigCommerce! As my business grows, they have services, plans, and integrations that I will be able to use. The ease of being able to quickly change things on my website, add products, etc. is wonderful. The shipping calculations and ease of shopping cart checkout are fabulous!

The ability to have a separate shop and also a product catalog with the WordPress plugin. All products are in one location and can be turned on or off in the shop, the catalog, or both. It also has a great social media integration to sell products via Facebook, IG, etc. that helps conversions.
