Treasure Data is a great product if you know how to use it. The fact that the CDP really doesn't do any training besides Treasure Data academy is frustrating. I inherited the platform and wish there would have been more documentation.

Treasure Data is well suited for an organization looking for a full-featured data warehouse/lake solution with additional functionalities like a Customer Data Platform, Predictive Modeling, Data Integrations, and Reporting. Treasure Data allows organizations with strong technical teams to support the marketing team with an all-inclusive platform. A scenario where this may not be as appropriate would be for organizations without internal technical resources.

Treasure Data has resolved the customer database problems, where it has established a unified central system, where data collected is well connected and processed. Besides, for the marketing segmentation, Treasure Data helps the business in analyzing all the processes that customers conduct in a company. The recording of the events conducted in the company and outside the organization is another beneficial role from Treasure Data.

Treasure Data is well suited for pulling in multiple data sets, to help define and understand your audience, business, predictive scoring and having a central platform for doing data analysis and data science.

What it's not well suited for, however, is heavy charting and data visualization. We've had limitations using Treasure Reporting.

My favorite is that Treasure Data offers flexibility in connecting to various platforms. If there isn't an out-of-the-box connector, we can write custom scripts that run in Treasure Data and we can take advantage of other platforms' APIs. Then, we have the easy to use queries or connect to any other query editor. We can schedule queries, workflows, connectors. Clean data in Treasure data or bring it in clean already. Basically, anything is possible in Treasure Data.

Treasure Data is well suited to integrating multiple data sources, including online and digital sources. It is also well suited to trigger audience activations to known customers based on their online activity, integrating 3rd party data, and activating target audiences to ad platforms.

That was a good platform to create a worldwide read product in a short time. It was easy to start, as it cares about all infrastructure and gives us a ready to use place to develop our dataflows. The issue is where all that easiness turns into a lack of flexibility.

Treasure Data is well suited to integrate all consumer data from disparate data sets, build real-time audiences based on behavior, connect to different channels to drive execution, and safeguard a company’s consumer data for privacy and governance. It is not used to actually distribute content for marketing purposes or build marketing automation journeys.

Treasure Data is a great tool for companies looking to centralize their customer information, create audiences base on various criteria, and then activate on those audience across various platforms. It may not be ideal for companies who already consolidate & manipulate their customer data elsewhere (e.g., a cloud-based data warehouse) as some functionality will be redundant.

Any company that has a large data source would be an ideal candidate for Treasure Data. I think a company that does not have full buy-in on implementing this tool for all their data should consider waiting until they do.

Any time you need to process and store very large volumes of data at scale, Treasure Data will aways be at the forefront of my mind. Especially if the data being handled is constantly changing or evolving, rigid schemas just wont do. Treasure Data has the ability to adapt as your product needs change over time. Having the storage and processing flexibility is a huge win.

Menu categorizing seems to be in the right order when viewed by the developer. In the first menu, there is a function to load third-party data and to manage the workflow so that the data can be updated regularly, and in the second menu, there is a function to manage and control the loaded data. Thirdly, there is a menu where you can perform marketing actions using the loaded data, and check trends after activation. This overall flow seems to have been well made based on the flow from loading data to action.

However, from the perspective of developers, the flow felt natural, but from the perspective of non-developers, it seems that the third menu is considered higher when viewed as a priority. Therefore, rather than showing the default page displayed when entering the first time as a job, it seems to be more familiar to show the dashboard of the master segment they are using. In other words, if you can customize the first screen for each role, you will be able to use the Treasure Data more for each role, and this will help you focus more on important donations for each role.

Treasure Data is well suited for organizations who (a) do not have a centralized view of one customer, (b) are manually pulling lists for marketing purposes.

Treasure Data is not well suited for smaller organizations that are not doing automated marketing at scale.

Well suited: Customer 360, easy of access for non technical people (out of the box features), segmentation is quite powerful also, speed to market is impressive

Less appropriate:
For technical advanced features, another is required. Advanced processing like heavy algorithm for deduplication or fraud detection.
