Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

We use ADP Workforce Now across our entire company. It's used for time management, record keeping, payroll processing, benefits/retirement. Our company has over 40 locations across 8 different states so using this system has helped manage employees information easier. We use self-service a lot, which allows out employees to update their own information (to a limit) and frees up having to do it from corporate. Using the system for our benefit enrollments and retirement has also streamlined reporting and allows employees to have one central location to review their enrollments.
  • ADP Retirement has been a huge benefit since it's integrated with our payroll. We have little to no errors and reporting is easy.
  • The system is generally easy to use on a day to day basis.
  • I think making the different departments more accessible within ADP (i.e. reporting, benefits, etc). Having to call in and go through prompts, to wait on hold, can be difficult when you're busy. The chat has helped some but I still see delays.
  • I'd like to see better functionality of the Open Enrollment tool. Being able to link up information or have it available in the system. If the capability is there, we aren't aware of it.
I believe ADP is really good at payroll and the retirement. We have little issue there. We've struggled a bit with managing time and attendance, and the benefits but it is still easier having them all under one umbrella then separate systems.

We use ADP to tracking our time and attendance, process payroll, performance reviews, and employee self-service and training materials.
  • Time and Attendance is easy to use and has not tracking features.
  • Self Service portal is easy to use for our employees to make their own updates.
  • The performance review platform could use some more attention.
  • Security - It would be nice if things were linked together better instead of going through multiple sets.
ADP is great for time and attendance and process payroll. Areas that need more attendance are performance reviews, wizards for new hires and terminations. There are a lot of different pieces that have to be updated that it would work better and be more time effective if they all updated as you make one update.

We use it across our whole organization. It's been nice when it comes to audits to be able to run the reports that they need regarding new/terminated employees and time cards.
  • Their customer service is great. They are always available to answer questions that we have and walk us through how to do things.
  • The reporting function has been a exactly what we need. We've been able to create custom reports to fit exactly what we need.
  • The approval process for time off has been a struggle for us since we switched to ADP.
  • We used to have a specific account manager and that was taken away from us for some reason. We now have to call customer service for everything. They are great, but have a designated person for us would be better.
I feel that ADP Workforce Now is better suited for large companies rather than small. It has more features than a small company would need. It's been great for our company with the reporting, time cards and PTO process. We've been able to simplify processes with approving time cards and PTO requests.

We use ADP Workforce now across our 5 businesses for all of our payroll and human capital management. We have about 3,000 active employees that we pay through ADP Workforce Now. ADP Workforce Now allows us to streamline our productivity in the HR and Payroll departments to better serve our employees.
  • Handles banking and taxing situations very easily.
  • It's easy to make adjustments and submit extra payrolls when needed.
  • Some reporting fields are cumbersome and need some fine tuning to get them to work properly.
  • I wish field grabber was able to use more fields.
I have used different payroll systems in the past, and ADP Workforce Now is by far the most comprehensive and complete tool that you could ask for as a payroll professional. I use it every day to process payroll adjustments, track employee pay and run reports. For smaller companies that don't need as many resources it might not be as appropriate, but it is well suited for ours.

  • Menu items.
  • Employees can enter information and it will reach payroll.
  • Too many steps to get something done.
  • A lot of apps and menu items aren't for small companies. I want something compact and to the point. All we use the service for is payroll.
I love it because I don't have to have two separate accounts with ADP. Both my personal information account and the payroll processing account are under one login. That helps a lot.

The problem I have with Workforce Now is that it has too much information. There are too many steps just to process payroll. We don't use it for anything else but payroll, so the other menu items are just distractions because I have to click on each until I find the one I am looking for. Some of the menus I have not even been in. I would have loved a more compact, custom page.

It is used for Payroll, Human Resource Management, and Employee Self-service. It is used across the entire company. It helps our financial team and human resource team.
  • Organizes information.
  • Time-keeping.
  • Customer service/implementation.
  • System capabilities.
Being only 6 months past implementation, I feel as though we have faced more challenges with adapting to the functionality of ADP WFN and discovering that some options presented during implementation do not function as described. Overall, the system will get you to the desired outcome, but sometimes the process or steps to get to that outcome are not efficient.

ADP is a company-wide payroll software, and we use to manage all employee files, payroll, and more. ADP is being used corporate-wide. The main business problems it addresses are to the ability to be paperless, and digital. Employees can access their personal information such as benefits, and pay statements with ease.
  • Ability to be paperless.
  • Easy on-boarding process.
  • Some software glitches.
  • Long process to upload employee documents.
ADP is well suited for a company that has specific shifts. ADP is not appropriate for a corporation with less than 100 employees.

I use ADP Workforce Now for payroll and time clocks.
  • Organize information.
  • User-friendly layout.
  • Rehire/edit process being so different than the Wizard.
  • Widgets changing or being inconsistent.
ADP Workforce is great for tracking employee punches and managing time, however, it is less appropriate and user-friendly when it comes to the hiring process itself. The information and layout of employee profiles change too often and consistency is lacking.

Our company uses ADP Workforce Now Self Service portal across the whole organization. Our employees request time off and enroll in benefits through the online portal as well as any personal information updates. The majority of our benefits are connected to our benefit providers to make reconciling invoices very easy. We process our payroll through ADP Workforce Now and have had time tracking in the past but no longer require it. We chose not to use the recruiting functions, however, they do appear to alleviate a lot of work/issues when a candidate is hired. Unfortunately, a lot of our upper management does not use it as often, so forwarding candidates through the system would currently be a bottleneck for us. And since we are a small company, it's more efficient to discuss/communicate directly.
  • They currently respond to issues/troubleshoot quickly.
  • The Open Enrollment process is a time-saver and eliminates a lot of paperwork.
  • Updates/changes are made more often and training of changes are not sufficient.
  • The Bridge is sometimes helpful, however, you need to search several companies' questions/responses to determine if it may apply to your issue.
It is much more efficient than paper tracking of information. The ease of looking up information is nice. The transition of the HR and benefit information directly into payroll is a breeze. In the case of upper management not having or taking the time to review/approve time off, it would be nice if there was a way to delegate their responsibilities to their administrator/assistant to make the process easier.

ADP Workforce Now is primarily used as a payroll system. It is used with 3 of our legal entities and we are planning to implement it at a fourth very soon.
  • It is relatively easy to onboard and offboard employees.
  • It is very easy to create your own quick reports.
  • It is too much of a hassle to preview payroll.
  • I find the system lacks intuition when making payroll changes in paydata batches.
I think it is well suited for people that are not payroll savvy and lack experience. I think the system is not very intuitive and can be frustrating to use if you are used to more advanced systems with more technical functionality.

I use ADP Workforce Now to process payroll for a church with about 20 employees. I use the payroll features which are more than adequate. Being on a tight budget and a small organization, we do not utilize the HR function in ADP. I know that Workforce Now offers a lot of modules that we do not currently use to its fullest.
  • Very user friendly
  • Lots of support available
  • There are so many features that it can be overwhelming
  • User friendly, but it takes time to learn it all
Whether you have an accounting background or not, ADP Workforce Now is usable to a variety of businesses. Large companies will benefit the most with all the great features that they can utilize to make their business run smoothly.

Our organization uses ADP Workforce Now for payroll, benefits, time off (PTO). ADP is used across our organization for reviewing annual statements, pay statements, updating personal data, open enrollment, and entering in time off (PTO). ADP helps manage and house all of our processes from payroll to new hires and terminations.
  • ADP provides good customer service.
  • ADP helps keep you aware of state law changes.
  • Talent/requisition.
  • I would like to see more chat now options.
ADP Workforce Now is well suited for our small organization. I can manage payroll, employee information, training, onboarding documents, and I-9's all on one platform. I can process a new hire, scan all of the documents into their profile, manage direct deposit, print an employee's W2 or pay statement, and download state and federal 941 forms for an audit - and all of this can be done on one platform.

ALI uses ADP Workforce Now across our whole organization, which consists of three entities. Workforce Now allows us to easily monitor and analyze data for reporting purposes. It also allows ALI to have one true source for all of our employee's data with its wide variety of modules and application options.
  • Easy data collection through a wide variety of report options.
  • Time and Attendance.
  • Job transfer/changes.
  • Worknumber.
Workforce allows us to easily monitor and analyze data for reporting purposes. We love the Time and attendance, Compensation/Payroll and On-boarding modules. These modules make it easy for us as a company to effectively and efficiently track our employee's time, as well as pay our employees. We use the onboarding module to process new hires, complete new hire paperwork, federal paperwork and have the employee sign off on ALI policies and procedures.

We used ADP Workforce Now to process payroll and manage new hires/terminations. Most of our corporate employees use the system to review hours and pay.
It helps manage employee pay and personal information in a timely manner. We are aiming to have our entire organization use the time and attendance feature in the future.
  • Processing Payroll
  • New Hires
  • Confusing layout
  • Reporting is difficult to navigate
The system works well with the majority of payroll related items but their are aspects of the interface that lack efficiency. The layout of the website is difficult to navigate and can be frustrating when in a time crunch for payroll. I often find myself looking through 3-4 tabs to find the one piece of information.

Overall, in the actually processing of payroll it works very well just a few nuance issues.

ADP Workforce Now has allowed HR and payroll functions to become seamless which has strengthened the relationship between the two departments. We are now able to conduct open enrollment online, house our company policies and procedures, and keep track of a lot more information rather than having to keep many spreadsheets which takes more time.
  • Timekeeping.
  • Benefit enrollment.
  • Time off accruals are challenging.

We are currently using ADP Workforce now for all our US companies. It helps us with be compliant with our taxes and also notifies us of any changes in the states we are currently doing work in. This is a major up side for our company since we are currently active in many US states.
  • Tax Services - Helps us keep compliant with taxes in different states
  • Knowledgeably employees - ADP always helps answers any type of payroll question that we come across
  • Adding additional support around tax season
  • More user friendly report tool

We use ADP Workforce Now as our system of record for our almost 9,000 employees. What has been interesting in our companies case is we have a constant stream of acquisitions and mergers so we are always having to get new divisions onto ADP from their previous payroll system.
  • Easily view timecards.
  • Easily view paystubs.
  • Practitioners need the ability to edit (more) of what employees submit to us for approval instead of just rejecting it.
  • I'd love to be able to login as an employee or manager and see exactly what they see.
I've used several different brands of payroll software and ADP Workforce Now is the most comprehensive while also easy to use. I think the bigger your employee count the better suited ADP Workforce Now will be for your needs. A smaller company may not get as many benefits from ADP Workforce Now compared to one with a large workforce. The employee self-service in ADP Workforce Now is great.

My entire company uses ADP for payroll.
  • Customer Service
  • Prompt Delivery of paychecks
  • Customer Service
  • Difficult to navigate
I would like an individual rep for ADP that I can call when I need help. Instead they give a Central Core number to call and most of the time all reps are busy and have to call back. I don't appreciate the waiting when I need an answer quickly.
I do like the details that are available on the pay profile screen for each employee. Everything I need to see is right in front of me.

We use it for team induction and benefits management as well as for payroll. We are looking to go into more enhanced features in the future.
  • Benefit Open Enrollment - They hold your hand if you need it along the way. It can be primarily self-service, or ADP will walk you through every step. Then you have benefits reporting you can use throughout the year.
  • There are rarely problems, and when there are ADP is very helpful.
I like the employee self-service options, especially for time off submissions and approvals.
Our team tends to get confused with the interface in some areas, but once I explain it they are good. I would like to see if our team members could be notified when they are close to their maximum vacation accrual.

Our owner uses ADP across multiple companies and states for about 500 employees! We use it for the HR system, time & attendance, and payroll processing. Our main office is located in Latham, NY so ADP greatly assists us in processing payroll for our other locations downstate and in Vermont - particularly for the time & attendance features.
  • Time and attendance is seamless.
  • Payroll is easy to process. Everything is streamlined on the "Payroll Cycle" page.
  • There are so many different ways to get to the same areas - This can get kind of confusing when you're looking for something in a hurry or trying to direct someone!
  • We previously were able to call ADP and get someone right away who could help you. Now we have a "dedicated" account rep who I find never answers the phone and takes at least 2 days to respond to my e-mails. When you do get someone on the phone, they aren't as knowledgeable anymore and always end up having to confer with our account rep for an answer anyway. Our company does not care for this business model.
ADP is great for our organization since it's so large and helps with a ton of general record keeping! It's great for companies with many employees who need to track different areas like goals, skills, drivers licenses, I-9's, etc. I don't think it would be suited for a smaller company unless just using for payroll processing and T&A.

We have tried to implement it across the whole organization for a company intranet portal to keep folks updated on company events, etc. We have used the talent sections for all employees and the system is clunky and hard to navigate often with many technical hiccups. It was put in place to address our concerns around performance management but it has just been a very expensive payroll processing tool.

You have to buy the total package otherwise you are doing a ton of administrative work pushing changes through manually. This applies to Workforce Now's tech-only platform. What I find most frustrating is the archiving of employees where if you terminate them, they still do not come off your bill but you have to do a few extra steps. Every time, it is a different issue. Then you have to unarchive them when its time to process W-2's so yet another charge. We had years of charges for employees who had been terminated as far back as 2014 when I started in 2019. This was thousands of dollars lost by our organization due in part to lazy hr staff from months past and possibly a lack of training from ADP on everything that they had to do. It's like running all the back-end tech stuff by yourself.
  • Payroll.
  • Learning module.
  • Tech and system functionality.
ADP is good for payroll processing and timekeeping and terrible at most everything else. Customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes you will get a rep who loves their job and will work to fix the issue for you and identify the root cause and ensure it is fixed going forward. Other times, you get an inexperienced rep who "fixes" something to rush you off the phone and then 2 weeks later when you try to duplicate it, you find they did nothing to avoid the issue from reoccurring.

  • They are cost effective which allowed us to add more modules which work together.
  • Sometimes when you are asking for help with writing a complex report you have to call two or three times to get the information you need.
  • While it's getting better, sometimes the modules working behind the scene don't always talk to one another.
I think ADP was the right solution for our size company. Our previous solution was ill-equipped to handle a company of our size. So when we converted to ADP it was like you were driving a Cadillac. Plus with the additional modules, we were able to free up HR time for other projects. I can't think of a scenario where ADP would be a less appropriate solution.

It is being used across the entire organization for timekeeping/payroll, performance reviews, and benefits enrollments. It keeps everyone in a unified system without causing confusion between what systems should be used to do certain tasks.
  • Customer service.
  • Customization of product.
  • Time and attendance solutions for unique state laws.
  • Holiday program functionality being linked to pay classes.
It is great as a payroll processor because the functionality is very straightforward. However, I think the permission levels get confusing with who can have access to certain things.
