We use Ultirpro HR and Payroll products. We do not utilize Talent Management rather are using 3rd party vendor iCIMS to import new hires via web services.We hire hundreds of employees monthly. Ultipro is being used across multiple organizations.

  • Not all Backoffice functionality is available in Ultiweb
Ultipro does HR and Payroll really well. I think it is in other areas like Talent Management that needs improvement. I think for a small size company Ultipro is well suited due to the level of customization.

We currently use UltiPro as our HRIS system throughout the entire company. We use UltiPro for reporting, payroll, time tracking, time management, performance reviews, Open Enrollment, Benefits, etc. Human Resources uses UltiPro on the administrative side, but all departments use UltiPro for performance reviews, reporting, time tracking, requesting time off, going through Open Enrollment, and helping new employees to pick their benefits. UltiPro has been a huge time saver across the entire company. We were able to implement UltiPro and get rid of manual paper processes throughout the entire company. Payroll is a much easier process with the implementation of UltiPro. Open Enrollment has been overhauled and has been a huge time saver.

Cons
  • System functionality. It would be helpful if you could copy a previous year's Open Enrollment instead of starting from scratch.
I mainly deal with the benefits side of UltiPro and reporting. UltiPro is extremely helpful when wanting to build different reports. It also makes it seamless for employees to pick benefits when they are a new hire and to go through Open Enrollment. We have implemented UltiPro in all categories of Human Resources and it has saved us lots of time in return.

We went live in 2016 to use for this for payroll and our HRIS system. Now we use it for time management, recruiting and performance management. We are looking into the file management/case management in the near future and wish to move to Benefits Prime.
  • The payroll program is very user-friendly and we never had issue paying associates.
  • Great reporting tools including standard reports to BI.
  • We can empower our associates to control their data and also managers can easily navigate info.
Cons
  • The Support team and timing. Before we came to Ulti, we had one person designated and handled all the issues and question. With Ulti, we have to wait for someone to respond to the cases we open. It's not really timely.
  • Tax. As even Ultimate people know, we have received quite few delinquent notifications from different states.
  • UTA program is very limited with support and the mobile App UTA is just not working.
It's definitely great products for the payroll and benefits aspects for midsize to a larger company. Rapid response teams are very helpful for any urgent issues and questions.
However, normal support with cases, response time drops down significantly.
Also, some products are great for themselves but don't talk to each other. This gets problematic when we run reports.

UltiPro has be a great asset to help us streamline processes and procedures. We use UltiPro Recruitment, Onboarding, Time Management and Core. Since using UltiPro we have been able to cut the amount of time spent on applicant tracking and onboarding in half. Additionally, UltiPro's reporting tools have saved us countless hours previously spent on gathering data for required compliance reporting.
  • Reporting tools allow you to quickly summarize employee data to be reviewed. Has saved countless hours spent on required compliance reporting.
  • Onboarding has minimized the amount of time and errors that we used to see on manual paperwork.
  • Customization! UltiPro allows you to customize almost everything to fit your company's needs.
Cons
  • Due to benefit deduction setup restrictions we are not able to use all the features available. I hope for more flexibility in the future.
  • Compatibility is limited to certain versions of Windows/browsers.
  • Would like to see a security customization on the E-Verify piece, separate from the rest of Onboarding.
UltiPro works best with a population that is used to computers. While it is very user friendly and you have a lot of ability to "lock" down certain pieces so that employees only see what they need to see, it can be overwhelming to those who don't have a lot of computer experience.

It is used primarily by the HR/Payroll department as administrators, and employees as users. It streamlines our Recruiting, Onboarding, Payroll and Benefit Administration processes.
  • Intuitive user and administrative access.
  • Customer support.

Cons
  • The Time Management system could have significant improvements in customization.
  • The Reporting feature is not intuitive and requires a high level of focus and technical expertise to utilize.
It is a great solution for streamlining recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration for the employee experience. Less appropriate for a company that needs a robust timekeeping system.
