Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

As an employee, we have used many communication systems in the pst such as Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, etc. I believe the reason why 8x8 X Series is better than all its counterparts is due to the one-stop solution it offers along with better quality. In my opinion, the other products that I mentioned were never as smooth to sail as 8x8 X Series.

  • Comcast Business VOIP (VoiceEdge) and Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager)
In my opinion, Cisco is just way to hard and over priced for the features we needed. I believe Comcast was a good system, but required additional onsite hardware and their mobile and desktop app needed some improvement.

Admin interface is much more intuitive with 8x8. I was able to easily train my team on user administration and day to day support of our end users. Even our non-technical contacts are able to handle the simple day to day tasks.

Meeting platform is easier to leverage with 8x8 outlook plugin. Makes scheduling meetings breeze.

I put my signature of approval on this product due to the fact I trust the internal process and the people at the enterprise, business, and organization, Majestic, that we were doing something good for everyone and making everyone's job easier, better, and hassle-free as we pivoted when the pandemic occurred and several teammates were able to work from their homes and or travel and work.

We came from an on prem Cisco service that was old, clunky, hard to configure, on prem recording storage, and reporting was a nightmare. 8x8 had a solution for an updated experience that was easy to use and robust in features for all of these complaints and problems from the Cisco system.

While I was not part of the 8x8 selection process (solution was in place when I arrived to my company about a year ago), the 8x8 product gives us a robust, flexible solution to meet our present and emerging customer needs. User set-ups and permissions are straighforward and reporting is sound. As compared to Genesys, 8x8 has demonstrated a much higher rate of on-line reliability.

I have not utilized any other products similar to 8x8. The closest would be Microsoft Teams, which we use to message other individuals and groups within the company. It has similar features as 8x8, including calling, instant messaging and video chatting functions. We utilize 8x8 in addition to Teams, for when we wish to contact individuals outside of Caruso.

Zoom, RingCentral and Microsoft Teams provided a better UI than 8x8 Series in my opinion, but our primary factor for selecting 8x8 Series was due to the overall price. It was cheaper when we made the decision to use 8x8. Unfortunately, not all of the features that we used were available with 8x8 Series. Overall 8x8 Series is a decent product and if you don't need all of the extra features, it is a great product for the price and doesn't lock your phones so they can't be used with another product. Also can support older phones. They also handle the updates on the phone once provisioned which is a quick and smooth process.

We used the ShoreTel phone system software and phones. They worked very well together - calls could be made with either the software or the phone and they interfaced well. Phone calls answered on the handset could be manipulated with the software. However, there were no shortcut keys and the software was outdated. Setting up audio files for voicemail greetings was cumbersome as was setting up schedules. We selected 8x8 because of better security, software that would be updated regularly and hopefully improved upon, for the enhanced customer service and for the price. We also chose it for the features that allow us to work remotely whenever necessary. The Teams integration is especially valued by our firm and that also keeps cost down. All in all, we do appreciate the 8x8 system, but there are improvements to be made - as with everything.

Fax, landline, mobile option are the best features that provided by 8x8. Toll free number & DID Number inventory for customer, time to time training session for administrator free of cost. Call distribution ACD works great, auto attended functionalities, call forwarding from one channel to another, support multiple platforms for telephony.

The products are basically the same - cloud based, remote provisioning, VOIP based. 8x8 is a superior product in terms of scaling, however the downside in this particular comparison that due to the global nature of 8x8, issues of deployment are not as easy to resolve and time taken is a lot longer which can impact on customer satisfaction if issues become immediate during the "Go-Live" process. Whilst the testing should iron out these issues, there is always the fact that in the real world, clients will want something changed, or an issue will occur.

8x8 X Series offers tiered pricing plans that meet our companies needs. Some of our employees currently use teams for messaging and conferencing. i prefer the functionalities that 8x8 X Series offers such as adding a background or blurring the background. I also like how 8x8 X Series updates and synchs everything across all platforms; desktop and mobile devices.
