Yes, LogicMonitor did increased the usability, configuring and monitoring due its user friendly experience.

1 example of reducing my load of work is, I have to configure 1 service monitoring for all 300+ servers. If any other tool I had then I have to configure 1 after 1 server... But LogicMonitor's universal configure on datastores, data points etc. helped me with couple of clicks and done. All servers were being monitoring for that Windows service.

Too much to learn for me. I have too much on my plate to become an LM programmer. This tool can do a lot if it's your whole focus. We removed an older copy of SolarWinds and have tied this LM instance to Service Now for auto ticket generation. Yeah, more emails and now auto tickets in the middle of the night for the on-call person. Faster to be woken up I guess is a win.

LogicMonitor has allowed us to incorporate in house solutions all in to one single platform and decommission older more vulnerable in house systems. We have taking out the responsibility and costs relating to maintaining the on-prem solutions. LogicMonitor feature set including graphs, dashboards, reports, etc. allows for more troubleshooting and analysis to be done via the platform rather then having to login to the specific resources to obtain this information before.

LogicMonitor alerting has been more reliable then our on-prem tools which makes troubleshooting and reduced MTTR.

As a technician I have not had access to the data needed to answer this question. I believe we have not retired any tools due to LogicMonitor, but we have been steadily expanding its uses and monitored systems.

Yes, LogicMonitor has allowed us to focus more on its capability to get in-depth visibility into our and customers' IT infrastructure. Tool being used before is not fully retired out of the environment but slowly it is getting there since LogicMonitor provides all that is needed thus far. Time to detect alerts is drastically reduced causing a faster response to clients.

We specifically selected LogicMonitor to retire an aging monitoring tool that could not be easily upgraded and was a source of constant frustration for operations teams to care and feed. It wasn't built for the scale we had grown into and had collected crud from years of neglect and misuse. Not being able to keep it current meant that it also was missing capabilities that the industry was collectively adding, e.g. AIOPs. Without much effort, just having a stable platform and modern capabilities have undoubtedly improved our visibility and MTR. In addition, providing great capabilities around tuning and customization has allowed us to constantly improve the signal-to-noise ratio.

The thing that has helped us to do the most is to quickly visualize what matters. We highly leverage the dashboards and it's a great way to see data in graphs and to be able to go through months of data to detect anomalies as well as normal patterns.

You betcha! We have consolidated 4 different monitoring tools with [LogicMonitor] and also greatly reduced our SRE's MTTR since they don't have to log into multiple tools to get important metrics when they are handling issues. Another important feature is ease of creating dashboards, this helps to provide and quick overview of the landscape of our applications and infrastructure for our SRE's.

LogicMonitor has enabled us to replace our previous solution of Zabbix for our production servers. Due to the cost of LogicMonitor we chose only to monitor our production environment. We still need to maintain another monitoring solution for our non-production environment. After hours alerting we still are choosing to leverage Opsgenie so that we can be woken up in the middle of the night when a critical alert comes through. Something LogicMonitor cannot do if an employees phone is on silent. Opsgenie resolves this issue. LogicMonitor absolutely has provided increased visibility into our IT infrastructure most importantly our SAN. We now have complete historical visibility into our NetApp SAN.

Since we use this primarily with our clients, I would say the focus in this answer would be mean time to resolution improvements. When using this for proactive monitoring, it is crucial that we get accurate alerts and solid information that allows us to respond and rectify critical situations as they are happening. Also, with remote access functions built into the tool it makes it easy for our engineers to gain access and restore environments to working condition.

We were able to get rid of several vendor appliances that couldn't get us the detail we needed or if they could it lacked the ability for historical or reports. LM is able to do all of that and more. We no longer have to maintain these other appliances since this is SaaS based.

We are working to replace a few different monitoring and alerting tools to save us OpEx and time. We are a lean IT shop so every hour spent keeping tools up and running and talking to each other keeps us from actually making progress toward and larger goals. LogicMonitor has allowed us to meet our baseline needs quickly which makes it easy to then start leveraging the advanced features like automation.

In our case, LogicMonitor reduces our time to resolution many problems with our servers. This tool helps a lot our IT Department because they always watch all the dashboards we have. Our SLAs using LogicMonitor have been faster because all our platform is under it.

LogicMonitor has indeed consolidated multiple tools into one, and also provides ways to integrate into other tools, for example ticketing systems. We use LogicMonitor integrations for autotask and ServiceNow for example. We retired our SolarWinds implementation and now every customer of ours is monitorable from one dashboard. We can then break out custom dashboards to provide to our customers. LM has increased our response time and overall ticket SLAs drastically.
