We use the product to acquire leads for our Premium Suite Business and our corporate partnerships. We can analyze what industries we do well in and be able to pull a list based on industry, revenue, number of employees, and distance from the stadium. We then pull the list and begin outreach.

As a market research analyst for a tech company, I use ZoomInfo many times a day to gather intelligence about prospects and customers. I rely on ZoomInfo for revenue, employee numbers, address, and hierarchy data, as well as contacts. I find it to be very accurate and more up-to-date than some other databases we use.

We use ZoomInfo primarily as a sales research tool for prospecting pipeline development. The business problem that it mainly solves for us is giving us accurate information on existing customers as well as who to target in net new customer acquisition. It provides info on the IT staff as well as senior leadership in the C-Suite.

We use ZoomInfo for a multitude of things. We use the Intent Feature to see who and what organizations have been looking into points of interest that our company can foster or offer a solution to. We use it to gather outbound sales leads. It also helps us gather contact information for those we may want to reach out to.

ZoomInfo is great in the fact that it does give you signals when an organization or individual is looking for something that your business may be able to provide. ZoomInfo is used in our BD department to fetch contact details of prospects leads we fetch after research from Sales Navigator. It is a nice tool on an average for getting details of dedicated people. It is useful when one knows the right people as information about that person can be fetched from Zoominfo. It also gives news of companies and market as well.

  • Often the numbers and email addresses fetched from ZoomInfo are not accurate so either they should upload correct data or should not upload at all
ZoomInfo is well suited only if one has the exact details of the person they want contact information for. If this feature of ZoomInfo is kept aside then it doesn't stand a compared to it's subscription charges. If a company has a big team where a dedicated person can fetch contact information and share with team then it can be used else for a small team it might be too costly.

We use ZoomInfo in the sales enablement department and it is mainly used to support the sales team. We use the tool to pull lists within our Ideal Customer Persona profiles for our cold email outreach. Additionally, we use the feature that tracks website visitors so we can properly analyze our online exposure.

The only concern I've had is with the account management team. As the owner of a successful recruiting firm, ZoomInfo has been a major contributor to the success of our organization currently and at my previous company. Being able to source qualified candidates is the key to helping businesses hire a strong workforce and ZoomInfo is one of the best places to gather up-to-date intelligence for reaching the right people.

  • Most entries for individuals provide company phone numbers, direct business phone numbers, work emails and in many cases, cell phone and personal email information.
  • ZoomInfo provides tracking services, saved searches, and a project function to keep up with your search progress.
  • Live and recorded training classes are offered regularly.
  • I have only used ZoomInfo in conjunction with an applicant tracking system, which works well. However, they have new products that seem to make it a more stand alone application. I have not taken the time to figure it out. I could use some coaching.
Our firm is highly specialized within the insurance arena. ZoomInfo has a most of the companies within our area of expertise. They have the correct titles and most of their work numbers and cell phones. Our industry is a highly recruited area and the more creative mean that are available to reach people enhances our chances of connecting with a passive, yet curious candidate.

[In my opinion] most contacts are not recent as they claim. [In my experience] I have not gotten even a single contact yet and have contacted a lot. [I feel that] Some emails have changed or number or they no longer work there as I get from email notifications.. they do not have shipping companies as they claim to have as well. [In my opinion] most are high rank and only top business. [I feel that] honestly, I have started going back to the basic google and It's not worth it for a broker.

[In my opinion] he claimed to give me free two months and charge the full two months from that.. just two hours after I realized it was going to be hard for me to do that these soulless scams of a company forced me into paying and using the system anyway. [I feel] that I shared my concerns and how it will ruin me and my business but man do they not care. [In my experience] they promised someone would guide me through the portal but no one ever did maybe he is coming from another planet. [I feel] They would not hear reason and only start to act like they want to help after you post a review. [I would suggest] please if you really had a soul you would have helped from day one. I will never recommend them to anyone even my worst enemy. [In my experience] Until now not even one contact has been helpful to me in any way it's like I flashed my money in the toilet.. worse people to ever do business with never never never again in my life!

  • #1 Recommendation I wish I could import to Salesforce and Outreach at the same time!
  • You can sort by moble and direct, but if you select both it gives you contacts with HQ numbers - so I hjave to sort by mobile only, then sort by direct only, and import those people in those segments to both outreach and salesforce ( 4 imports) SO TIME CONSUMING!!!
  • Integrate with SFDC to better update stakeholders who have moved positions or changed companies would be great.
  • SOMETIMES PHONE NUMBERS FROM PEOPLESEARCH ARE MORE RELIABLE THAN THE ONES THAT ZOOM GIVES ME.
  • Not the easiest interface to use for prospecting/ setting up accounts you're targeting. Could learn from the prospects you;ve targeted before to recommend better. Integration with 6sense and Drift would be so helpful!
  • Transferring contacts in and cleansing the contact info is difficult as well - should be easier. - A lot of contacts are imported and their cell numbers arent attached.
I literally only use Zoom for finding numbers after I've located a prospect on Sales Nav - but I wish I could do so much more! I explained all of that at great length I the previous post so you can get a lot of that information from there. You guys are the top of the market, just a long way to go to be better and more intuitive. (AND SAVE PEOPLE TIME!)

ZoomInfo is used as a support for the sales team in the organization. We use Zoominfo to source contact information to reach out to potential leads of the desired persona from pharma companies. A small [number] of leads are sourced from ZoomInfo by making use of the job title filter. Zoominfo has helped us to source contact information thereby [initiating] cold outreach from the Sales development team.

It's being used by our sales and marketing departments to populate prospects into our CRM. The issues that we aim to resolve with this product are incomplete, existing prospect fields, as well as generating new prospects into the CRM. It has been a very useful prospecting tool for us, and has more complete and accurate data than we've seen in any other similar system.

We are using ZoomInfo as a prospecting tool, which helps enrich our data for the AEs and BDRs. It provides clear, updated information at the lead level.

ZoomInfo is being used by our organization to verify accurate sales data, determine companies that are in the buying cycle or expressing purchase intent for products in our quadrant, manage data cleanliness for CRM source of truth, and enrich lead and contact details for a more targeted sales experience. When building account-based campaigns, the audience can be selected by lead score, title, tenure, and industry for a more focused reach out. Missing details important to the lead routing process can be enriched on the back end to ask less of the prospect on the front end, creating faster time to value for the customer.

ZoomInfo is out go to platform for contacts and accounts. We are also using it for data enrichment and it has the most matches and largest database from what we have found compared to other vendors. It is being used by both Sales and Marketing and it solves our problem with lead and contact data completion, accurate company information as well as easy to use within Salesforce itself.

  • Not sure about the intent and how it's configured.
  • More coverage globally but GDPR hinders that to some extent in Europe.
ZoomInfo started off with contact and company database and that's what it's known for. It can also do enrichment as it has this massive database. Not sure what it's not suited for since it seems to have company data, technographics, firmographics and hierarchy of accounts, we use all the features and sync directly to our Marketo or Salesforce or Salesloft depending on the use case.

Our entire organization uses ZoomInfo. Mainly, we use it to add contacts to Salesforce and verify contact information. It helps with our CRM management, as well as our outreach.

  • ZoomInfo will sometimes mark a prospect as having left their current company, when in reality, they just got a promotion into a different role.
If you are in business development or in a sales role where you need to be able to reach out to prospects via email or calls, ZoomInfo is a must-have.

Our Sales Team uses ZoomInfo for accessing contact information, but also much more. We review Buyer Intent Data, follow Scoops, build target prospecting lists, and import results into Hubspot, our CRM. Our Marketing Dept uses ZoomInfo to build lists for import, targeted marketing, and supporting both Sales and Marketing outreach. ZoomInfo solves the problem of knowing whom to call and how to reach them.

  • ZoomInfo makes it especially easy to have readily available contact and corporate insights to support outbound sales efforts with personalized data points
  • ZoomInfo is a breeze for helping to target prospects and companies with a scored likelihood of a current need for our products and services.
  • ZoomInfo provides too much data if not properly filtered.
  • The dashboard or view is not customizable, requiring getting used to seeing more than I might need.
  • There should be a quick view company snapshot enabling users to see at once how to respond to inbound leads.
For outbound prospecting, ZoomInfo is extremely detailed when it comes to filtering and finding specific targets. This makes it especially good for building and importing lists. It's less effective as a nimble tool for assessing an inbound lead, and whether or not it fits the target profile. The user view is not as customizable as one might like to have, though it's not really an issue once you get used to it.

The sales department is utilizing ZoomInfo to help mine for new contacts to reach out to. It's pretty expensive, so we only purchased 4 licenses, I believe. We have designated computers that salespeople are able to sign up for 30-minute slots in order to use. For the most part, most salespeople use it as a supplement to LinkedIn Sales Navigator - not as a replacement.
  • Provides direct phone numbers
  • Provides correct email addresses
  • Help find contacts that may or may not be on LinkedIn
  • Provides history on the contact and previous places they worked and some interesting facts that can be used while contacting them
  • More updates. 6 months is a long time to run an update and often people are no longer at the company
  • Do some more verification steps. I've had people who have passed away, however, since their email signature is still active, it shows as them still working at the company. Awkward phone calls.
  • Lower the price to enable more usage.
It is well suited for mining new contacts in a sales position. Outside of that, it wouldn't be a huge benefit. I'm not aware of other teams, outside of sales, utilizing it. It is well suited as a supplement to Linkedin Sales Navigator - but not as a stand-alone tool. LI will provide more accurate titles, work history, alumni, accomplishments. ZoomInfo is more for the contact information and getting a direct phone number and correct email address.

Using ZoomInfo allows the ability to target the correct prospects within the target industries. It allows us learn the relevant information on the company and prospects prior to outreach. It addresses the issue of being informed and educated about the prospect and company prior to placing a call or email.

ZoomInfo is used by multiple departments inside of our organization. In my opinion, ZoomInfo is the most reliable and detailed contact/organization database that I have ever used. In tandem with our other resources that are specific to our industry, ZoomInfo fills in the gaps where we have struggled in the past to find traction at prospects.

ZoomInfo is well-suited for organizations that have the budget for an enterprise need. ZoomInfo's database is expansive and very well developed. It is best used as a contact info researching tool compared to an organization research tool. For my industry specifically (healthcare), other resources provide more detailed financial data on specific HCO's.

We use it in my department in order to find decision-makers, insight on companies we would like to partner with, and to give us up-to-date information to better target our sales and marketing outreach efforts.

  • Depth and breadth of resources.
  • Ability to type a name and company name together to find a person in the search bar without going to a company page and filtering. Example: I can type in "Jane Doe" and the top 3 Jane Does will appear, but I'd like to be able to type "Jane Doe Microsoft" to narrow it down by name and company at the same time.
ZoomInfo is great for narrowing down a massive amount of data into what you and your team specifically need. It can also give you insights that put your sales and marketing efforts a few steps ahead of the competition by looking at intent, pain points, and org charts at the companies you'd like to do business with. The ListMatch feature saves a ton of time - instead of trying to search for contact information for the right people at my target companies, I can upload a list of companies I'd like to do business with, and then filter the contacts at those organizations by job title. ZoomInfo has automated so many time-consuming processes that allow me to make the most of my time.

Our sales team uses it to grow our target audience and reach the right people so that our message reaches the best person vs. mass emailing an organization this approach is much more targeted and meaningful. I would say without ZoomInfo this would be a much harder and time staking task.
  • Great direct phone numbers.
  • Correct HQ which is huge plus!
  • Email syntax that is correct!
  • Updated information for when someone leaves a company.
+ When someone signs up for a webinar or white paper download and we don't get the correct information or a typo (we are all human). So we can look up this information and get them the right information they requested.

- When someone doesn't want to be added to your system, there should be notations within ZoomInfo to let us know it's a common theme amongst this person.
