Workforce Now is being used by HR/Payroll as well as employees via the portal. Keeps everything in one spot for employees so they can find info quickly.
  • Displays benefits so they are easy to read and understand.
  • Allows you to attach docs within the program versus employee files.
  • Easy to create and maintain benefits plans.
  • Reports could be better.
  • Onboarding process could have more detail.
  • Quicker updates for 401k changes (for those who have ADP 401k plan).
Easy to use. Easy to create plans and add new employees. Product gets the job done, easy to learn, gives employees easy access.

It's currently being used for Payroll services. We use direct deposit, wisely cards, and mobile clocking. It gives our employees their information in real time on check stubs, pay data, time off, etc.
  • Processing Payroll.
  • Taxes.
  • Helpful with legislation changes; keeping us informed.
  • Account Managers; you can't ever get a hold of them or they don't know anyway.
  • Support is hit or miss if the person can help you or not.
  • Cumbersome.
I think when you have a local person that can be your in-house expert I would recommend it. I would not recommend it if you didn't have your own payroll person to manage the system. There are needs that come up every day that need quickly resolved and the in-house person can do that. When you are waiting on ADP it can take hours to days depending on issue. I do like the system itself.

Across the whole organization within payroll and human resources. Problems addressed are 401k wages available, wage garnishment completions and tracking them, ADP has given payroll a huge relief in paying over 700 employees within 3 day period. Has made our jobs so much easier.
  • Tracking from where employees clock in and out.
  • Vacation accruals.
  • Employee payment history.
  • G/L postings.
  • 401K invoices availability to give to employees.
  • Account number download verification.
  • Timekeeping machines have many flaws when being used by manager user/seeing employees/adjusting their times, etc.
Only reason I do not give a 10 is because of the time keeping problems. People falling off of manager registry, users not being able to add new employees and such inconveniences that have came up with using time keeping.

ADP Workforce Now is used for payroll, benefits, and some other HRIS functions. It is fairly intuitive and easy to navigate as an employee and for most day to day tasks. It does the job it is needed to fit.
The problem comes when there are errors that need to be fixed. It is difficult to get them resolved as they are often coding issues within ADP and often trying to resolve one issue will cause the ADP rep to delete or alter other data that then needs to be fixed.
When things are going well it is great but when there is an issue it doubles quickly.
  • Integrates with a lot of vendors as it is commonly used.
  • Pretty intuitive user interface.
  • Issues often take awhile to resolve.
I think that ADP Workforce Now is well suited to smaller companies that can audit items and make changes individually. Larger teams may be able to use the file uploads to make mass changes but the system is very particular and formatting will take time. If your team likes to keep management of the system to the top few it will be hard to get assistance for other back-end users.

We use ADP Workforce Now for our payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and recruiting solutions. It is mainly used by our Payroll and Human Resources Departments, but we do allow access to our managers and employees. ADP Workforce Now helps us manage our weekly payroll schedule, employee enrollments, and the tracking of important data within the system that needs our attention. The recruitment module gives us a one-stop location to manage our prospective new hires.
  • We enjoy the fact that ADP puts a lot of control in the client's hand. It can be overwhelming to have a lot of options, but we like that ADP empowers us to organize the system to our preferences, like adding our own deduction and pay codes, importing in data to the Validation tables, etc. They have enough support documentation to really help us understand the best choices to make.
  • Our ADP team definitely is one big reason we stay with ADP. From our Sales Representative, our Payroll Manager, to our Executive Relationship Manager we have a support team that makes sure any issues we experience are dealt with in a timely manner. The experience and knowledge that they have with ADP and our organization helps to ensure that the best decisions are made from the beginning, and if we run into any issues they move mountains to be sure it is corrected.
  • We are big Custom Reporting users, and we get a lot of requests for custom reports from Payroll, Employee, Benefit, and Analytical data. I find it very easy to create reports with the steps that ADP provides, and we have such in depth knowledge of how the system works and what fields are in each area that we can quickly turn around reports for our Executive team.
  • As a system user and administrator, you have to have your wits about you to ensure that everything is going according to plan. Even with the best intentions, system and field setup can occur incorrectly. If you do not understand the system and process very well, users might run into a lot more issues. We regularly have to check up to ensure that new items that have been updated (by us or ADP) are correct to avoid processing errors.
  • It it nice that ADP tries to update the system regularly, but we have experienced a lot of moments when the updates have unintended consequences. In the latest round of upgrades, we had a field in a Standard Report that was no longer populating, and it was mentioned by other companies as an issue. After over a month of errors and technical cases, ADP is finally working on it. The lag in recognizing such big issues is disappointing. When a system is updated, ADP should try to test and review the upgrade to make sure they do not break reports or fields that were working previously.
  • We are not big fans of the new Support feature, Service Connect. It is a nice thought, but administrators are unable to see service requests across the company, so if someone is on Vacation we cannot keep their requests moving or check in on the status. It also makes it hard for the team leads to check that a fellow employee submitted a request.
ADP makes a great Human Capital Management tool with Workforce Now. We are able to run our weekly payroll with greater ease with their features and dashboards that keep us on track. We would recommend ADP to organizations that have the a solid staff of critical thinkers that can review the system and data for errors.

Our company uses Workforce Now for payroll processing and for personnel record keeping. The only issue I find with the product is the timekeeping component. We recently upgraded to new time clocks. However, we still have issues with missing or incorrect punches. Other than that, the product is fine. It could be a little less pricey.
  • ADP recently started virtual assistance in real-time to troubleshoot or answer any questions. It has been really helpful because it avoids being on the phone for a long period of time.
  • The payroll process is very stream line. It makes payroll processing easy.
  • iReports is also very helpful for retrieving copies of W2s and tax filings.
  • The reports could be easier to configure.
  • Password requirements to log in could be simpler. Along with not having to reset them every six months or so.
Great product but not perfect. The price point could be a bit more competitive. Customer service is always eager to help and there when you need them.

We are using it for HR management and full-service payroll and tax. It helps us to have an all-in-one solution for HR as well as helping us to accurately pay our employees and manage our tax returns and liabilities.
  • The interface is user friendly.
  • The help/guides are phenomenal.
  • The taxes are always up to date.
  • SmartCompliance is very helpful.
  • SmartCompliance could be more user friendly.
  • The IR Reports area could also be more user friendly.
I think it is a great application for companies with a large/moderate amount of employees. Especially when you are a multi-state corporation subject to numerous amounts of tax regulations and liabilities. ADP WFN makes it simple to update employee profiles and to see the pay and personnel history. The ability to customize reports is the best I have seen in my 20 years of using various software.

It is being used across the whole organization for timecard and HR purposes. It allows us to manage employee time and payroll records more efficiently and keeps records neat and tidy. It also helps us stream our HR processes and keep things more streamlined and accessible for all employees.
  • It is accessible. There is an app, a computer login, and a punch clock, making it easy for employees to use.
  • The records are accessible in reports and free up physical space in the office.
  • It is efficient since it houses many different components of our payroll and HR processes.
  • The app crashes a lot. Mitigating that going forward would be a bonus.
ADP is well suited for most work environments. I'm not sure that I could come up with many scenarios where it wouldn't be ill-suited. Though, perhaps, in a smaller 1-2 person company the operational costs of ADP would outweigh the benefits of using such a program. However, for most standard work environments ADP seems to be a good fit.

Workforce Now is being used as our primary ATS and sourcing platform through Indeed. It is only being used as an HR tool for the time being but may be used as a benefits and employee portal. It addresses our lack of a formal applicant tracking system and helps us organize candidates accordingly.
  • It allows you to maintain your candidate database. There are many applicants per requisition and being able to touch multiple candidates is a plus.
  • There is a bit of ease to use. Some things you have to get familiar with but it is not difficult.
  • When creating a requisition, it would be much easier to create it and post. Instead, you have to create a job title in validation tools before you can create a requisition.
  • Besides a representative, it would be nice if there was a training avatar or guide to help you get acquainted with the platform.
Workforce now is better suited for the benefits and employee portal, as it stores information and presents it to candidates in an orderly fashion. I wouldn't normally use it as an ATS due to the fact that it may be difficult to create job titles and requisitions for EACH and EVERY position that we are working on in such a large company.

ADP Workforce Now is used by our payroll department. We process all time & attendance and payroll through ADP Workforce Now. ADP files all of our tax reports and makes payments. We also use the ACA program to stay in compliance. I process many reports for different areas of the company from the information stored in ADP and have helped sister companies write reports that have helped them do their jobs better.

We use the time and attendance Essential Time for our associates to enter their time to be paid. We do our annual benefits open enrollment online through ADP. We process payroll for about 350 associates on a bi-weekly basis under 2 different FEINs. Our associates can go in at anytime and get copies of their pay stubs or W-2s as needed.
  • The reporting system is great - I can pull almost any type of report I want or make my own if what we need is not available. I pull reports on a daily basis for many different areas of the company
  • They stay up to date on the latest technology. Our associates can use their smartphones to clock in and out they can change their bank information, addresses, contact information all on their own.
  • ADP stays up to date on the newest laws that affect our business and have been working around the clock to handle all the new things that COVID-19 has thrown at businesses.
  • Our associates can go in at anytime and get copies of their pay stubs or W-2s as needed without having to wait for someone to get it for them.
  • Our associates can do their annual open enrollment online or thru the mobile app.
  • They need more account managers and to train them on how to handle more complicated problems.
  • I would like to have more time with the professional report writers to customize more reports for our usage.
  • I would like to see shared reports with other companies so we don't have to keep reinventing the wheel.
I would say that for companies with 500 or more employees ADP is a great company to work with and ADP Workforce Now would work great. For companies with fewer than 500 people, they may do better by looking to someone else besides ADP to handle their payroll needs. The more employees, the better ADP is for your company.

  • Self-Service portal
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
  • HRIS
  • Approval process streamlining
ADP Workforce Now offers fantastic payroll processing, retention, and tax compliance all in one package. It is constantly being updated. One thing I feel needs improvement is the amount of flexibility in the hierarchy structure and approval processes--needs more.

We use ADP Workforce Now as our main HRIS and Payroll. We use it for performance evaluations, benefits, and time tracking. We love how friendly and easy it is to use. We recently transitioned and it was very easy for everyone in the organization to adapt to ADP. The app is very easy to use and everyone in our organization uses it all the time.
  • Payroll process is very simple.
  • Time tracking is accurate and easy for managers and users.
  • Benefit management
  • More flexibility with some of the features sush as performance categories and process design
I think for an organization like ours, ADP Workforce Now is the perfect solution--all-inclusive and easy to use.

It is being used as the HRIS system for the entire organization. It also is our one-stop-shop for payroll administration, benefits administration, applicant tracking system, and housing personal data. We are soon to be expanding our modules to use ADP for our annual performance management reviews and housing employee files.
  • Easy to use and navigate
  • Easy to update or edit things
  • Reporting is straightforward and can be done quickly
  • System has glitches
  • Hard to use the ATS side of things sometimes
  • Make it simpler to reset users or see when users are locked out of their accounts or need a password reset
ADP Workforce Now is well suited for larger companies as it makes reporting quick and easy. It is also well suited for companies that only want to use one system for all things related to HR instead of having to log into a different system for payroll, records, etc. It is easily integrated into just about any company!

ADP Workforce Now is used by all employees for day to day tasks such as time keeping and managing personal information. It is an easy way to manage these tasks.
  • Updates constantly to improve usage.
  • Easy to maneuver around the site.
  • It has a great support page.
  • Easy to get ahold of a support person when needed.
  • Updates are late sometimes and not keeping up with changing law needs such as reports needed.
ADP is suited to larger-sized companies. It may not seem necessary for a small company due to the expense.

We use ADP with multi-company codes for all of our payroll and HR needs. We use it to produce our weekly temp staffing and production reports.
  • Multi-level approval process for employee record changes.
  • Approvals for time-off requests.
  • When you switch employees between company codes.
  • Calculating state ordered medical & child support orders at the same time with low income. It does well on just child support but will not take the state ordered medical into account.
It works very well with the approval processes but works very, very poorly when switching employees between company codes. The 'another position' feature should ask to take you through a 'new hire' template of your choice. The standard fields in the 'another position' aren't the same fields that we have in our custom new hire template and thus we miss setting up fields when we have to switch employees between company codes. Also when you do this, the old employee position always stays as a 'terminated' employee on all reports and it messes with turn over numbers.

We are using ADP Workforce Now as our payroll and HR administration. The entire organization is using the platform. We began using it just as a payroll system and have since implemented all aspects of it from payroll to employee management to job postings and employee hiring and screening.
  • The digital cloud storage option for employee files is great. We can control who has access to what parts of the files. It has helped us be more green by cutting down on paper printing. Everyone from the employee to management can upload documents and administrators get notification of when the documents are uploaded and complete.
  • The employee review portion has streamlined our review efforts. You are able to set up a review and it will automatically distribute to the needed people and the HR department is able to track it easier. With different branch locations, a digital option is great so that we can cut down on travel time.
  • The recruitment section of ADP has tremendously helped with our employment. We can set up a job posting and ADP will post it across several platforms for us and all applications will filter into one location for us to check. You can then process interview background screenings directly through the platform. That has cut down on the time required to acquire new help.
  • The reporting side of the platform could be easier to use. There is a great staff that can run reports and set them up for you but it would be nice to see a more user-friendly side that we can set filters and design reports as needed.
  • It would be nice to be able to print a copy of an employee check from the pay profile and not have to go into iReports to download one. Yes, you can print a pay detail but it isn't an actual voided copy of the check.
  • If you cancel a time-off request that has multiple dates in it, it will not always come off the employee's time card. We canceled 40 hours of vacation through time-off requests and it went back into the employee's balances but didn't come off the time card. We ended up paying the employee for the hours then had to run a correction.
The platform is great. It helps with everything you would need from simple employee management to processing payroll. Day to day operations are a breeze and easy to work through. Information flows from department to department easily and efficiently. Accessing reports is easy and you can call and get just about any custom report ran. It would really be beneficial make the reporting section a little more user friendly so you wouldn't have to call to have them ran, when you can't find the one you need just build it.

We use ADP Workforce Now across the whole organization. It addresses time and attendance, finance, accounting, payroll, benefits, and recruiting.
  • Time & Attendance - It's easy to navigate, shows the employee weekly and daily hours.
  • Benefits Module - It has been very user-friendly and eliminated multiple paper processes.
  • Recruiting Module - it's easy to use, keeps track of applicants and send messages through text or e:mail.
  • It would be nice if after Benefit Open Enrollment ADP could calculate benefit rates from the old year (based on how many days are being paid ) and rates from the new year on the first paycheck in the new year. I had to manually calculate each employee's benefits.
  • The Termination Wizard does not calculate benefit cost correctly on employees' final paychecks.
ADP Workforce Now is a great payroll system, and I like the different modules. I think reporting features work well, but it would be nice if there were more standardized reports for Recruiting metrics.

ADP Workforce Now is used as the main source of people data for the whole company. We utilize it to process payroll and manage time, but also to feed all other systems with user data, provide employee data to external vendors, and rely on the system to assist in accurate compliance reporting.
  • ADP Workforce Now maintains accurate compliance on state specific taxation situations. It keeps changes and updates to every aspect of state reporting up to date and relieves the pressure from the company needing to manage that.
  • ADP Workforce Now has a multitude of connection possibilities, through API or direct reporting. This has created automation for our company that saves countless hours.
  • ADP Workforce Now seems to keep up on changing technology by rolling out new features, both for accessibility and also security.
  • ADP Workforce Now has some areas that could expand in terms of customization. Many areas are stock/hardcoded and it causes issues when something specific to the organization is needed.
  • ADP Workforce Now runs into some issues that are not accessible by the client and require calling in for mainframe adjustment. Having a bit more access would be beneficial to more advanced users.
The only issue that prevents me from giving this a 10 rating is that the essential time system built into ADP Workforce Now is basic and the enhanced eTime system is chaotic. Otherwise, while most systems I have reviewed provide similar services as Workforce Now, I believe the trusted name of ADP and quality of the system is preferable.

We use ADP company-wide throughout our organization. The main uses are for our HRIS system, payroll, benefits, performance reviews, and recruiting. It allows us to have almost all data in one place so that we can have one source for information. Our HR department is the main department user. We have 100% self-service usage with our employees.
  • Stays up to date on regulations
  • Offers training seminars
  • System updates can take a while
  • Hard to reach customer service (outside of payroll)
ADP Workforce Now has been good for our company size, ranging from 100-300 employees. It works well if you want a system that works out of the box. It does not allow for much customization of the products. We have had to develop alternative solutions outside of ADP for some products that are not fully functional in ADP.

We used ADP Workforce Now for payroll as well as HR. We are tracking variable comp and information for other countries, although, we are not using ADP for payroll in other countries.
  • I think it does the payroll really well--very easy to use.
  • Time and attendance also works well.
  • Employees like being able to log on from their phones.
  • Reporting can be difficult. Sometimes you change one thing and the report doesn't work.
  • Customer support can be problematic. Sometimes I know more than they do.
  • Better GL training for set up would be nice. I make changes and they don't work but I can't get anyone to show me what they are doing to fix them.
Works great for salaried employees who have commissions and bonuses. Not quite as easy for time and attendance but still good. It's hard when you have both in payroll and you need to be transferred to multiple departments to get it fixed.

We utilize ADP Workforce Now as our entire HRIS. We implemented it about 1 year ago and have slowly introduced new features, most recently the recruitment module. We like the potential of the system. Unfortunately, our implementation with the system was very poor. We still are trying to figure out the basics and the "best practices" that were promised but not delivered. ADP Workforce Now is much better than the system we were previously using but we know it has so much more potential and we aren't utilizing it in the most efficient ways.
  • Visually appealing
  • Applicant tracking system
  • Benefits enrollment
  • Support
  • Mobile app
  • Onboarding
I believe it is well suited for a midsized company with a smaller HR department. It may not be appropriate when your HR is quite large where a lot of people have their hands in the system. From our experience, there need to be better workflows for how notifications are done. It could have been an issue for us that was started during implementation that was done incorrectly though.

I have to admit that ADP Workforce Now is very good software and providing good support. But sometime It made me think that big company didn't have enough knowledge employees to help. Sometime that I called support I can get the right answer right away. But sometime I got the wrong answer. Example, taxes withholding for Toledo, Ohio. I called at lease 3-4 times for the same issue that no will help fix the problem. So made the last call and I'm lucky enough to get the right person help.
Sometime i used the Bridge help finding how to use some features, but it's doesn't explain all everything I should do to make it right. So, I have to call in for support. I really like the sample reports that you created for PPP. That's very help full without have to call support. Also one feature that I have hard time understand even I took few classes is Custom report. I never do well on that.

  • User friendly
  • Great learning tool
  • The Bridge, some guideline are not clear and not complete
  • Payroll support, I always found difficulty to set up taxes withholding code.
  • ADP error out at lease 3-4 times a month
ADP Workforce Now is user friendly and reasonable compare to other software in the market.

We use is company wide as our HRIS. However, those of us in HR are the main users.
  • Continual improvements allow for increased efficiency of HR functions.
  • The new chat function has helped us fix issues and/or get answers much more quickly.
  • Screening and Selection Services are unable to verify education consistently.
  • Some workflows could be improved. When certain changes are made, they have to be made in multiple areas of ADP. It would be nice to have those parts speak to one another. For example, when changing an employment status, that has to be changed in multiple areas of the employment profile.
  • I would love to see the chat options available for all areas of ADP.
ADP makes most aspects of my job much easier. It is nice to have the majority of our employee information housed all in one place.

We have looked into the different performance options offered through ADP, and they don't necessarily meet our needs with the way we function. I can see how they would be beneficial to many different industries though. I love the thought of being able to dig into employee motivation as a way to get to know employees better.

We use ADP across the whole organization with time and attendance. We also use it within our department to process payroll and hold employee records. We have several locations so it allows us to collect accurate time records using our own computers, as well as from some employees using the mobile app.
  • Accurate time keeping and collection.
  • Accurate payroll processing.
  • Easily hire, keep employee records, and simplify the termination process.
  • All the frequent updates do cause trouble. When I feel like I'm finally getting a process down, the location or description is changed.
ADP Workforce Now's collection and payroll processing are always accurate and always easy to do.

We use Workforce Now for payroll interfaced with Enchanced E-time. It ties both time and attendance to payroll. This allows us to utilize home and work departments that interface with our accounting systems. We also use the GL services to download and upload to our accounting software weekly.
  • Payroll importing from Etime.
  • GL interface.
  • The timeout feature - Make it longer. Or at least make it sign off instead of giving me a big red bar after I have entered a bunch of information that gets lost!
  • Terminations - The box should not have an employee name in it.
  • Deduction changes - the cursor should be in an editable state when chosen. Not make the user backspace - or highlight it to remove/change the number
  • Clean up the Reporting system... all those tabs - all the folders, can't access them from the same places. Messy ....
  • Two layered verification is ridiculous.. I am already logged in as an admin, but to change an address or deposit, I have to wait for a verification code..... why ?
For doing payroll, it is easy to use. The layout could be a little more condensed. I would love to see them add the self ID to the new hire template so I don't have to go back and update it after I hire and say "done" on that screen. Fix the reporting screen! All those extra tabs are messy, and there is so much duplication on that screen. It takes too many clicks to get where I need to be on my reports. I can't move things to the right folders.
