Great lightweight project management tool
Asana is lightweight and relatively inexpensive. For our marketing and advertising team, it works great. For teams with stricter needs (development teams, product teams, and other scrum teams), looking at other options might be worthwhile.

Workamajig builds timelines and in Asana you have to do it manually. It would be great if we could build templates to see what days we will need certain projects by.

A very easy to use project manager
Both software are very similar to each other, even in the economic factor, the reason we choose Asana over the others is because of its usability, the software is very easy to use which helps to get the most out of it, in addition to the integrations that provide Asana with other devices is greater than these.

Trello has an interface so confusing that we ended up tracking our tasks in Excel or Google Sheets. The project management was poor, I think it's designed for companies that are not involved with so many clients like mine, and that don't need to track a lot of projects at the same time. Asana is more user-friendly in every aspect.

The new trend of user experience project management tools
Comparing to other not so complex project management solutions (which does not include Primavera, for example), Asana is way better due to the experience it provides to users and the alignment with the new trends of project management approaches such as Agile. Therefore, the solution is a real improvement on current software landscape for project management.

Asana has won me over -- eventually!
Personally, I didn't have a say in this as I had not started at the company when the team decided on Asana. That said, I have used monday.com, and we also have JIRA, which is used by our dev team, and us occasionally if we need to. JIRA has too many bells and whistles and is just plain complicated. I enjoyed monday.com, but Asana has won me over.

Asana offers simple management with powerful features.
Asana is simpler and easier to manage than Teamwork Projects and Wrike for smaller teams, but still offers more features than Basecamp and requires a lot less customization than monday.com.
I liked Trello for a long time and it's a tool I don't mind using today, but when I found out you could create subtasks and add deadlines to them, and then create subtasks for those... Well, I was immediately sold!
The ability to break down huge projects was transforming to my work! Suddenly, we could link a single piece of content to a broader marketing goal or business objective, and it was all there for people to see! :)

Asana, project management at a great price....Nothing!
- Trello and Wunderlist
We tried Trello, Wunderlist, and Producteev, but at the time, none of them had the feature set that Asana offers. The main requirement we had was the ability to create projects and subtasks with individual due dates and assignments. Asana was the only one that allowed us to assign each individual task to anyone within the group...all for free!
Asana has a task list, Trello doesn't. Asana has different views, Trello only has one. The Asana mobile app is amazingly easy to use. Trello can be confusing for some people. Trello is free for unlimited users, Asana requires payment for more users and integrations. Trello also requires you go premium to get more integrations.

A great tool for tracking to-dos and projects
Asana has a lot of great free tools and makes it easy to create projects and add team members to the project. I think it's a good value compared to others and is the most straight forward to use. I find it to be the most helpful for both personal and team projects.

Asana -- Almost there, but too much effort required
Within our organization, most have fallen back to their old way of tracking tasks, which varies between paper and pen notes on sticky notes to OneNote to Microsoft To-Do, to Outlook Tasks, to Windows 10 Sticky Notes.
These other tools have familiarity, ease of use, and integration with existing workflows and notifications/presence that Asana lacks, making them much more comfortable and appealing to use for our organization.

Truly a team effort!
I think Evernote has been helpful for my individual task-tracking. For example, my day-to-day to dos but also a place to keep my notes! I take a lot of notes, organize them, etc., for future reference. For Asana, it allows the added capability of bringing on the entire team to work together and collaborate, which is something Evernote does not. In the past, the team has used Google Sheets and Docs to track team assignments, etc. While it works, it's not that well developed and it's hard to assign "progress" or "priority" the way Asana does.

Asana is a killer app for all businesses
Asana is so much better than Wrike. Wrike has a lot more customizability, but it's too much. Asana keeps things very simple and can include a litany of integrations to help me get the most out of my needs. Wrike, from what I remember, also uses more resources from my computer. Not something I need when I need every iota of power from my computer.

Asana Helps Us Get More Done
Asana is extremely easy to use and gives us all the functionality we need in order to stay on task and meet deadlines. Trello seemed a little elementary compared to Asana, and Wrike seemed a little more complicated than our team needed. Asana is a good balance and has been simple for us to implement and use.

Asana is much better than the competition. It's free to use, and relatively affordable with premium plans. It's more flexible than the other tools on the market, lending it to be useful for companies in many different scenarios, industries, and sizes.

We tried using Slack but had more than what we needed. We already use Google Suite for the day to day interactions. Asana makes it easy to build long term.

There were a combination of factors that led us to decide on Asana, including ease of use and external system integrations, but primarily we could use it across geographically distributed offices successfully and incorporate a variety of end user work flows based on global geography, team constitution, and market focus.
