Sage Intacct is a cloud-based financial accounting software system with functionalities for small to mid-sized businesses. Sage Intacct delivers an array of core accounting applications such as a general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and order management to any accounting department or finance team. It also supports functionality for built-in dashboards, real time reporting, time and expense management, project accounting, revenue management, and global consolidations for multiple entities.

We have just implemented multi-entity accounting in Intacct and it has not been a positive experience. Hopefully we can find a third party professional company to assist us with this because Intacct is has provided no worthwhile support.

We use the time and expense module in Intacct. All our employees record a timesheet in the system, regardless of how they are paid. This helps us allocate salaries and wages to the applicable projects that they are working on. We also integrated Expensify with Intacct which uses the expense management module.

We have the time and expense module and the grant and project module and both have been big helps. We have a much better understanding of how staff are spending time, not only overall, but on each project. We are also able to track how each task in a project is tracking compared to what we budgeted which has allowed us to more finely tune quotes and get a better understanding, internally, of where we can improve our processes or where we need to rethink pricing.

Sage Intacct is the real deal application for financial management and accounting. Very effective, efficient and reliable. It is convenient with project accounting, spend management, time and expense management and multi-Entity and global consolidations. I recommend Sage Intacct for financial management and accounting.

we use the project module it has help organize our grants, made it much easier to run reports for others.
we just started using expenses module. It was more of an adjustment. When you put in expenses I liked that each line had a memo that you could add and in this module it doesn't have that, it only has one spot to put everything and if you have alot of expenses it just a little harder. The approval process and nice and its very easy.

We were mislead regarding the capabilities that Sage Intacct's multi-currency module could provide us. It is helpful that the integration shows the current day's currency translation rate and that we can receive payment in multiple currencies, but in regard to the invoicing needs that we have, we were left disappointed.

At this time we do not needed the more advanced modules like multi-entity & global consolidations, project accounting, time and expense management, contract revenue management and spend management. We're only using Sage for our local entity, everything else is done in Canada on a more consolidated level.

The multi-entity module has been especially valuable as we deal with 7 companies currently. Before we had lengthy manual processes to report on multiple entities and frankly it did not occur that much. Now it just takes us accounting for it in the accounting system and then running the consolidating reports. We also use Project Accounting. We are still trying to make full use of the module but what we have been able to do thus far has been helpful as it allows us to track revenues and costs by project in different companies.

Global consolidations help out immensely as we have multiple entities. Contract revenue management also helps, as we have a decent amount of clients, and being able to easily manage their revenue and billing schedule is important.
