We utilized ActiveCampaign to help replace the current CRM platform we had been using. It allowed us to reach a larger customer base without interruption and seamlessly integrate our new files.

The tagging ability helped us keep better track of who was actively opening up our emails so we can create new marketing techniques to make sure we were able to attract them. It also made creating automated sequences even easier to maintain.
  • Super easy to search for leads using the tags.
  • Email sequence creation.
  • In general, it’s a pretty easy and straightforward platform that isn’t too complicated but gets the job done.
  • The email builder itself could use some changes and updates to make it a little easier.
It’s really great for someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of time having to learn the platform but can learn as you go. If you’re just going to use it for simple email sequences, I’d suggest something else. ActiveCampaign has so many opportunities to build and grow your business and provide insight.

We decided to swap from another Email Marketing platform to ActiveCampaign in order to get more tools to track our Email Marketing activity and always improve it to give our prospects and clients the right information at the right time during their buying journey. We needed a good product to use for our weekly newsletters, targeted to both our clients and other external stakeholders. We had already used much software, which we found difficult to use, with not many good templates, and full of bugs and issues with DKIM authentication. ActiveCampaign has solved all of these, giving us an easy, complete, and efficient product, at a terribly competitive price, with the constant availability of an account manager!

Great to manage huge contact lists and it also has great and numerous templates for any company struggling to find the right ones!

We use ActiveCampaign to manage sales and marketing automation, from their embedded forms to email sequences and website personalization. It's a good way to handle all our automation in one place and make it easy for team members to work on them. While the CRM feature is good, we use it in conjunction with a separate CRM.

  • Interface can be quite slow and clunky.
  • Some quirks - e.g. duplicating automations - make it time consuming.
  • Our form validation requirements needed external development - other platforms offer this built-in.
For small and growing businesses looking to get all the key functionality of sales/marketing automation, ActiveCampaign does really well for the price. It can be a little involved to get everything you need from it, but so far there's nothing that I've tried to do that can't be achieved eventually. For larger teams with larger marketing databases, there are other tools that might be more appropriate.

I use ActiveCampaign to manage my business - all information to clients, or potential clients, goes through here. The time I used to take to follow up with prospective clients has been freed up through automation. I'm able to create my regular newsletters and get an idea of the responses. I am a sole trader and investing in ActiveCampaign really made a difference in how I'm able to engage and develop relationships with people. I published a short ebook earlier this year and it is managed through AC and provides me with insights into what appeals and what doesn't in follow-up automation.
There is a learning curve and there are still areas to focus on and utilize for my benefit. It's not a cheap product but it does provide good value if you fully leverage what it offers.
  • Newsletters/campaigns - I've found it easy to create the newsletter I want to send out.
  • Contact information - particularly the tagging facility which really is useful.
  • Reporting information - great to get insight into what is working and what is not.
  • Deals - I'm finding that this area doesn't yet reflect how I'd like to work. WIP.
  • Campaigns - I've praised this and rightly so, but there are still improvements to be made in formatting and flexibility.
  • Pricing - particularly for sole traders.
For a business with multiple employees, I can see how this can be such a critical piece of software. For sole traders it is useful, but harder to justify financially. Like all software that has flexibility, it requires time to invest in it to get it working and mistakes will be made. I've certainly 'gone back to the start' once or twice in certain areas.

I use ActiveCampaign to keep in contact with my email subscribers, deliver training programs and organize my prospects. I need to be able to quickly and easily send emails as well as have customers purchase programs and automatically be sent the relevant content. It integrates well with other platforms such as ThriveCart which makes it easy to organize.

If you have an email list that you send regular messages to and want a way to develop these relationships, ActiveCampaign is excellent. The automation is excellent and makes creating autoresponder sequences easy. The platform is perhaps less suited to small businesses who are only looking for a way to email contacts occasionally because there are cheaper (or free!) solutions out there that would do this.

I use ActiveCampaign for email automation, landing pages, and forms to capture leads with opt-ins. This helps me create nurture sequences with every new contact added to my list. I use the templates feature when creating emails, which saves me time. I use the tagging feature to segment users based on interests.

I’m a relatively new user of all technologies and know I’m not utilizing ActiveCampaign’s features even close to what I could be. They regularly send me emails asking and suggesting ways they can help me grow my business, and even remind me to schedule my free calls with them. They also offered a free account review to see where I could be improving my stats and usage. The customer service reps have been very helpful and patient on calls and through text chats.

At Worship Sound Guy, we use ActiveCampaign to manage all of our sales email campaigns and to facilitate customer engagement via email. ActiveCampaign allows us to custom-tailor a customer journey that’s engaging and provides value to each individual on our email list. The automation functions in particular are crucial to operating our business successfully.

Active Campaign makes one-to-one email marketing, automated email campaigns and sales follow-up tasks much easier to manage than without. A lot of information regarding what a customer is interested in and what they are not can be saved and used in order to provide personalized and more specific emails to current and potential customers. We provide 360° Product Photography software and photography equipment. Active Campaign's ability to tailor and customize how we use it is very helpful. Many mundane and repetitive tasks are done with their platform while having helpful sales data and usage info to know what works and what needs improvement in our email marketing. The customer service has been as good as I've ever dealt with. The excellent help center has answers to almost everything you ever want to know. Their YouTube channel and tutorials are very helpful. Highly recommended.

I use ActiveCampaign in my organization to create my newsletters and help me with creating an email list. ActiveCampaign is very focused on user experience so it wasn't difficult to get what I wanted. You can do everything you think about! I am going to use it as well with my online program to send emails with learndash automatically. It doesn't need me to do that so I am spending more time on creating content for example.

  • inbound recruiting: community generation and activation (through lead generation and marketing automation)
  • implementation of sales strategy for a software - inbound marketing
  • Automations: really easy to understand and implement
  • Landing page and form: template are great and then really easy to use
  • Client services
  • CRM part of the tool could be improved, tracking, task and meeting management
We are currently using ActiveCampaign to manage all our inbound strategy for our financial software addressing the B2B market.

ActiveCampaign is a great email service provider, automation, and contact management platform. This allows you to integrate other platforms and software with ActiveCampaign to create the custom automation and steps in your marketing funnels easily.

Active Campaign is used to grow the company's email list and stay in contact with the members of our community. It is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle when it comes to building a strong brand and community.

It is simple to use, has GREAT customer service, and they'll go above and beyond to show you how to properly use the tool. In our company, it is the only solution we recommend when it comes to email marketing.
  • Their onboarding process is off the charts! They have a great customer journey that teaches you how to use their product.
  • Incredibly complex, surprisingly simple. Usually, complex software is difficult to use or has a long learning curve. ActiveCampaign is very intuitive and simple to use.
  • They have a great support system. Their customer support is easy to get a hold of and they have plans in place to answer any question you may have.
  • For what we use it it might have a little "too much", but it doesn't really affect our performance. It might just create a temporary distraction.
So far ActiveCampaign is the best email marketing software we have tried.

It has all the solutions that we need and more. Their customer service is ff the charts and will help you quickly with any issues you may have.

Lastly, their education program is great. Thorough resources and opportunities to get on calls with experts that can show you how to properly use and leverage the software to grow your business.

Totally recommend using ActiveCampaign as your email marketing software of choice.

Over the years we've used a variety of email marketing tools. None have given us the power and flexibility of ActiveCampaign. The automation, deliverability, and ease of use for the platform are unlike many other tools which are either too complex to use or too simple to be useful. We trust the tool so much that we exclusively work with it in our agency and recommend it to all of our clients.
  • Marketing automation is straightforward, powerful, and became the backbone for all of the marketing funnels that we build for clients.
  • Reporting is robust enough to give our team an idea of what campaigns are working but without overwhelming them with useless details.
  • Advanced CRM features have allowed us to use ActiveCampaign as more than just an email tool but to drive sales pipelines.
  • In the past, the email composition tool started to feel a bit dated and what appeared on screen wouldn't perfectly match the emails as they appeared in the email client.
  • Sometimes the CRM feature became a little distracting from the core function of the email service where clients would get frustrated in using it for sales.
  • When scheduling broadcast emails it would be nice to have a calendar view where you can see what content is scheduled and a better way to collaborate with the writing team.
Can't imagine a better well-rounded tool to trust your business with. If you're looking for an all-in solution that will grow with your business this is a great choice. For select businesses that are looking to collect funds or track products within their ESP, however, might need to look elsewhere if you're looking for that kind of functionality that you won't have to use half a dozen tools to bolt on to get that to work.

Active Campaign works amazingly well for me. It enables me to track contact details as well as place them in a pipeline. It integrates amazingly well with other apps and allows for the easy setup of automations. I have used Active Campaign for a couple of years now and have no intention of moving away.

We use AC to email various lists daily. The platform has worked relatively flawless compared to others that we've tried. The editor is somewhat glitchy, but otherwise I've not seen any issues with AC at all -- deliverability has been great. Tiered pricing makes it an easy recommendation for clients that have smaller lists.

ActiveCampaign is an essential tool in our marketing and sales department. We are able to gain valuable insight into how our campaigns perform and how we can better connect to our clients.
  • The automation builder is a huge timesaver. I am able to automate many tasks such as alerts to sales which keeps the marketing team and sales team all on the same page.
  • The campaign builder is easy to use and makes beautiful emails that are consistently rendered correctly across multiple email service providers. The drag and drop functionality really makes creating emails a breeze.
  • The reports I can generate from campaigns are detailed and have everything I need to analyze and adjust for future campaigns. The reports can also get very detailed based on what information needs to be reviewed.
  • The CRM has some limitations, that make it difficult to use. We use another CRM in addition to ActiveCampaign so it isn't a huge deal for us but it is a sticking point for some. For example, users don't have the ability to assign more than one email address to a contact which makes organizing communication a bit of a stress.
  • Some bugs pop up here and there in the email builder like the undo button not functioning properly or text boxes/images not being placed where they should be but these are minor inconveniences in the scheme of things.
ActiveCampaign is suited well for small businesses who are looking for a service to provide email marketing, automation, and reports all in one place. The dashboard is very intuitive and easy to navigate making it easy for people who use it every day to those who check in occasionally to find reports.

We're using ActiveCampaign to capture initial lead information and then automate content sharing and progression through the sales funnel. We've been able to automate nearly 90% of our processes using ActiveCampaign and can focus our human efforts on the real value-add steps within the process. We've only scratched the surface of what it can do so far, and we're using the free raining to keep building knowledge amongst the team, so we can continue to leverage the product to the best advantage.

  • A little more flexibility and functionality on email templates would be the icing on the cake.
ActiveCampaign works really well for managing traffic from social media adverts, or for triggering a marketing campaign to a distribution list and then managing all the steps that follow. The CRM part is still appropriate for all clients, but for some client types, the automation may not be appropriate, depending on the sector and client relationship.

I use ActiveCampaign as my CRM and my email automation solution. It is used across my entire company, although my company is a small company of only one--ME! I was looking for a solution that would help me track my multitude of various clients while simultaneously allow for automation and email management. After looking at HubSpot and having used MailChimp previously, I found ActiveCampaign to be a solid solution for this purpose. It allows me to track my sales funnel, send out regular emails, and serve as a CRM with automation that reminds me.

I find ActiveCampaign to be very well-suited for working as a [life] coach with many clients at various stages in their process with me. One of the most important parts for me was finding a solution that allowed me to not let anyone fall [through] the cracks in the sales process. This catches everyone no matter where they are. This solution is not a good CRM for someone that is a product-based business because it doesn't allow for inventory. If you are in a people-based business, this should work fine for you.

I use ActiveCampaign to manage email marketing campaigns and automation. It is being used for sales and marketing purposes. It has allowed us to generate leads, automate nurture sequences and sell services through special promotions. Overall, we've been very happy with its functionality and email deliverability. After trying other systems, we've found ActiveCampaign best meets our needs.

ActiveCampaign is a great email/CRM choice for businesses at any stage. It has basic features for the business just starting out and is robust enough for corporations that need more advanced features (especially if you're using software like InfusionSoft/Keap). I would especially recommend it for businesses that want to increase efficiency with marketing automation.

Active Campaign is being used by the company executive to write informative emails to attendees of our events. Before and after the event happens. Also, to collect names of those interested in specific events coming up, signing up to get on a 'waitlist'.

  • More explanation as you pick a task for an automation on what that will do for the automation. I made sooooooo many simple mistakes in the beginning that caused quite a few an hours to fix.
  • Emails in campaigns can only be found to 'duplicate' or review by getting into a campaign. Would like to access all emails I have sent from one location in the platform.
  • It's big and complex. I am only using a small percentage of what it offers. Feel like a guppy in the ocean and wonder what I am missing out on. It can be really overwhelming for a small business owner starting out. I wish there was a more basic, entry level to Active Campaign that had just 10 things you can do. The top 10 things you can use the platform for to jumpstart your business. And then add on from there.
My recommendation would depend on the skill and experience of the intended user. Active campaign is great for automations and tagging. Assigning task to contacts as well.
