We use Ultipro for everything but benefits administration. This system has streamlined our payroll process and cut the time almost in half. I have a lot more time to provide more in-depth reports to managers and to take on other projects. Everyone in our organization uses the product.
  • The Business Intelligence module where you can create custom reports.
  • Step by step, easy to follow payroll process.
  • Can easily make manual changes to payroll without enlisting the help of Ultipro customer service.
  • Their canned reports in Core could be better formatted.
  • I wish UTM was a little more user friendly, some tweaks to the system can only be made by a representative
Depending on the type of people you employee, how they are paid is key. I have processed some very complicated payrolls where some employees had up to 17 different job codes with all different pay rates and the system we used could not accommodate that.

We use Ultipro to process payroll and for HR. Our employees go there to review their paychecks, do open enrollment and get other information. In HR we use workflow, BI and open enrollment.

We use UltiPro as our employee management tool. It is the one stop shop for our managers to manage their employees.
  • One place to go for everything- The employee self serve tool makes everything available in one spot
  • User Experience fits everyone-All employees use Ultipro, even if it is something as easy as checking your pays stub or W2.
  • Customer Service- Response times are great for first level issues (which cover 90% of any issues), but if you have to have your problem escalated to another team, you may have to wait a few days.
  • Integrations with outside Learning Management Systems- We use BLR and Skillsoft and have to manually run reports, create new training class codes and import training classes taken each month.
  • Mobile Access for smart phone /tablet users across all products- Older version of Recruitment is not mobile friendly at all and we have experienced delays getting upgraded to R14
  • Business Flow Customization- It would be really nice if we could direct business flow based on certain responses.
UltiPro is a great product for large companies (over 500) and especially if there are multiple locations. It makes management of employees a seamless process.

  • Ulti University provides thorough training.
  • UltiPro consultants who support open cases are diligent and provide excellent follow up and follow through.
  • Ultimate provides timely updates.
  • Current Recruitment product is not user friendly - mobile optimization.
  • Work at home team members receive incorrect state tax form because they are linked to our corporate office as there is not an office in the state the remote team member works in.
  • Having an 800# for general questions would be helpful vs. having to open up a case for the "simpler" questions.

  • Allowing for use for combining the different functionality of time and attendance with payroll

UltiPro has be a great asset to help us streamline processes and procedures. We use UltiPro Recruitment, Onboarding, Time Management and Core. Since using UltiPro we have been able to cut the amount of time spent on applicant tracking and onboarding in half. Additionally, UltiPro's reporting tools have saved us countless hours previously spent on gathering data for required compliance reporting.
  • Reporting tools allow you to quickly summarize employee data to be reviewed. Has saved countless hours spent on required compliance reporting.
  • Onboarding has minimized the amount of time and errors that we used to see on manual paperwork.
  • Customization! UltiPro allows you to customize almost everything to fit your company's needs.
  • Due to benefit deduction setup restrictions we are not able to use all the features available. I hope for more flexibility in the future.
  • Compatibility is limited to certain versions of Windows/browsers.
  • Would like to see a security customization on the E-Verify piece, separate from the rest of Onboarding.
UltiPro works best with a population that is used to computers. While it is very user friendly and you have a lot of ability to "lock" down certain pieces so that employees only see what they need to see, it can be overwhelming to those who don't have a lot of computer experience.

  • Online webinars and resource libraries are great. I like being able to do online seminars and if I am unable to attend I can watch the webinar from the resource library.

I have to update my LinkdeIn as I know work for Asurion and use Ultipro for Canada - customer service is awesome and the system is great. We were on ADP PCPW and would take 2 days to process payroll as we would have to send off for previews and wait and uploading files took hours. Ultipro has cut our process in half. Very user friendly. Currently at Asurion we are only using Ultipro for our Canada process.
  • Customer Service's knowledge is great. Currently using UltiPro for Canada and going thru year end was very painless so far.
  • The system is very quick when uploading and also calucating the payrolls.
  • The Ultipro web function for employees is very user friendly.
  • A little more reports on BI.
  • It seems that in UltiPro Backoffice it is still easier to make changes or update codes.
  • For accruals it seems there is no order or operation if you have roll function.
  • Very friendly and helpful
  • Custom support very knowledgable

We will be trying soon to use the PTO recording function in UltiPro Web as we are currently do this manually - look forward to getting more training on how to process.

UltiPro is our current HR system and we use it for payroll, benefits and analytics. It is used across all divisions.
  • Its ease of use is the greatest strength. Its fairly easy as a end user and an administrator to use the application.
  • It has an independent module for reporting purposes and it can be customized and used for a lot of other things as well. For example, with the help of the BI tool in UltiPro we calculate our complex bonus structure and merit increases.
  • They have good customer support and good documentation on how to use their product.
  • I would like to improve their integration support.
  • I have used their onboarding with my past employer and the experience was not great. They had a lot of changes that had to be made. I would like to see an improvement in that area.
Payroll is Ultimate's biggest strength. The system is very easy to use and it's easy for us to train our administrators and users on how to use the application.

UltiPro is being used by my entire organization as our HR / payroll system of record. We utilize Core, Business Intelligence, Benefit Enrollment and Onboarding and Taxation services. For our employees, it's a one-stop-shop for all of their payroll and HR needs. For administrators, it's a central database that securely holds all of our employee data that can be accessed from anywhere at any time.
  • The Benefits Enrollment module, whether it be for Open Enrollment or Qualifying Life Events, is extremely user-friendly, on both the administrator and the employee sides. Setup and maintenance are quick and easy.
  • Business Intelligence is such a powerful reporting tool. It does take some time to understand and get a good feel for the different studios and reporting packages, but once you have it down, the data you can extract and the manner in which you can extract it is very useful to your organization.
  • System administration is owned by the organization utilizing the tool. There is no need to wait on a customer service representative to update user permissions, passwords, business processes, etc. All of these items are owned by the system administrator within the organization utilizing UltiPro. This means the system administrator can resolve all issues as they arise and implement different aspects of Core services, and they will only contact customer service if needed.
  • The Customer Success Portal is an invaluable resource to system administrators. On the CSP, you can find training courses, job aids, important announcements and How-To guides. Additionally, there are interactive communities for the various modules with UltiPro. Here, administrators can ask each other questions about the system, policies and regulations, and best practices, as well as share processes and reports.
  • I would like to see greater access to historical benefits data on the web. Currently, to get the clearest picture of the benefit history for a particular benefit on an employee record, you must log into the back office. It would be useful to make all of that data available to administrators on the web.

UltiPro is used throughout our organization as well as a few countries (which use limited parts of it). The problems that it addresses for our company and my department specifically (Human Resources) is that we were able to discontinue using other software systems (payroll, recruiting, performance, compensation, etc.), which has allowed for information to flow across all departments and functions smoothly and saved the company money by using less systems.

The latest release for recruiting can use some work, but other than that, it's nice to have a candidate apply, then work them through the system to onboarding them. All information remains the same throughout which is a nice feature.

We use UltiPro as our primary HRIS system. It is used for employee management, in regards to payroll and time management. Having everything related to Time Management in one place helps us streamline our payroll process. We also regularly use it for reporting. Whether we are pulling reports from their built in Report Generator (Business Intelligence) or setting up files to automatically transfer to our other vendors, UltiPro offers an abundance of information. We also use UltiPro for recruiting and our applicant tracking system. Of all the features, the interface is a bit outdated, but it is still efficient and easy to use.
  • Customer Service. We have several different account reps assigned to a particular feature, which ensures they are knowledgable with the problem.
  • Reporting. A TON of reports that they have pre-generated, as well as the option to edit existing reports or create your own custom reports
  • Payroll. Very updated streamlined payroll processing system. Also offers a direct help line for payroll related questions which definitely comes in handy!
  • Employee Management and Employee Job/Status. Allows us to keep track of comp, benefits, time management, and employee information all in one place.
  • Recruitment. Least updated. The interface is outdated and it's not the most intuitive to navigate.
  • Synchronization between platforms. It would be nice to make a change in one place and have it automatically go into effect everywhere else.
  • Time Management for employees. We have some confusion on how to request time off and how to go about requesting time on behalf of employees.
It's a great system to track time management and PTO. However, it would be nice if it could better assist with tracking FMLA and extended leave of absence. Also, while the payroll system is great, it takes someone who understands payroll and how your company works. Not a bad thing, but something to consider.

UltiPro is being used across the whole organization. As a merged organization, we transitioned to UltiPro from two separate versions of ADP. Using UltiPro has given us a unified HRIS and payroll system that we lacked previously. It also gives our organization a place to handle and manage performance reviews.
  • Searchability - find information quickly by searching by name, title, department, etc.
  • Ease of use - very intuitive platform.
  • Dashboard - great quick glance at what you can do.
  • I would love to be able to search and sort by Start Date when looking up employees in HRIS.
From what I've seen, UltiPro is best suited to a large organization. I'm sure there are more parsed down features that can be used for smaller companies, but the product we use is so vast that I think it could be over-kill for a tiny company.

UltiPro is used for various processes in the payroll and human resources departments. While the primary function is to process payrolls for our different pay groups, it is also used for generating reports that are instrumental for tax reporting, human resource functions, and safety reporting to various agencies.
  • UltiPro provides "canned" reports that most industries would find useful.
  • UltiPro's customer service is very helpful and timely when dealing with a problem or issue that may arise.
  • Additional resources pertaining to items in the "background" (ie. sequel) would be beneficial.
UltiPro is suitable for any sizable company with payroll and HR needs.

UltiPro is used by our entire organization for all human resources and payroll needs. Employees use the self-service web portal for access to their personal information, pay and time keeping information, benefits open enrollment, career development and training, performance management, and for internal job posting purposes. Managers use the system as hiring managers and as needed to access information on their direct reports, conduct performance appraisals, and to manage employment and payroll changes. The human resource and finance departments use UltiPro to manage all the HR and payroll processes that are essential to efficient and paperless functioning. UltiPro provides access to every aspect of an employee's cycle in an organization beginning from recruitment, to hiring, and for various needs throughout their employment.
  • The ability to automate employee personal changes is excellent. Employees can update their address, or phone number, access pay stubs, tax documents, previous performance reviews etc., at their convenience with an easy self-service portal. This eliminates the need to process paper or for an employee to be directly at the same location with Human Resources.
  • UltiPro's recruitment and onboarding functions provide an extremely efficient paperless process for the recruitment to hiring cycle.
  • The Time Management product is excellent.
  • The Talent Management function is excellent and extremely valuable to our organization.
  • UltiPro is great. I would like the ability to customize the Performance Management product a bit more to meet our companies needs.
UltiPro is an excellent resource for a company's HRIS needs. As a client, in addition to the basic HR and payroll functions, you have the ability to add various modules and products to your contract so that all information can be in one place and it eliminates the need to use multiple systems to maintain and transfer data.

Our company uses several packages from UltiPro and hope to add more in the very near future. The software works very well for our complex organization.
  • ATS is user friendly for the HR staff and the applicants.
  • Open Enrollment is user friendly for the HR staff and the employees.
  • Salary Planning is user friendly for the HR staff and managers.
  • Performance Management is user friendly for the HR staff and management.
  • UTA is user friendly for the HR / Payroll staff and the employees.
  • Work on ensuring that the software complies with health care audit agencies like Joint Commission and other health care auditing agencies. This will ensure that we are fully meeting all of our compliance requirements when an audit is being conducted.
Nothing stands out for me at this time. However, the software options that I use on regular basis such as the ATS, Onboarding, Salary Planning, Performance Management, UTA-Payroll, BI Reporting, etc., are easy to learn and train team members on accordingly. We are also able to get the core results that we are looking for with minimal modifications when necessary. Overall, the software offerings are very user friendly and competitive with other similar products.

  • Recruiting and applicant tracking is module very effective.
  • The ACA module is not very useful to us right now as our workforce is very seasonal and we keep employees active for 9 months before terminating them in the system; as a result it cannot track hours worked effectively. Also because many of our employees work at sea and do not punch a time clock but are paid based on the value of their catch, we do not have a way to track hours and eligibility for healthcare even if we were to upload hours for these employees.
  • In creating open enrollment, it would be nice to be able to "copy" a previous open enrollment session's details, edit those that need to be edited and use it for a new OE. Currently we have to re-enter all the information much of which may not have changed from one year to the next.
  • It would be of benefit to us if the system were able to send a notification to a designated administrator whenever a new employee is added to the system.

OrthoCarolina currently uses Employee Admin, Benefits, Recruiting, New Employee On-boarding, Business Intelligence, and Performance Reviews across our entire organization with plans to incorporate Time Management, Succession Planning, Career Development and Training in 2016. UltiPro provides a versatile single platform to efficiently and effectively manage human resources. The system is user friendly and easy to navigate.
  • Responsiveness - UltiPro responds quickly to requests for customized reports, systems issues, new company set-ups, etc.
  • Compatibility - partners with other vendors to provide additional services that feed into UltiPro (i.e. training, on-boarding).
  • Ease of Use - UltiPro is very easy to navigate and learn.
  • Performance Reviews - allow ability to manage merit increase pool throughout the year when reviews are given on anniversary dates.
  • Reports - make the report creating in BI easier to create reports.
UltiPro is versatile enough to use by any size company and use as much or as little.

UltiPro is being used company-wide and almost all modules are being utilized. UltiPro allows for one seamless web-based application for payroll, HRIS, time and attendance, recruitment, career development, performance management and much more.
  • With the ever changing rules for the ACA, UltiPro is always on top of the details and innovative in the ways they can help their customers.
  • A reporting system called Business Intelligence allows for a multitude of reports to both run on their own based on a schedule or to run based on an event. This has allowed for payroll personnel to focus on other tasks.
  • Ideas are always welcomed at UltiPro and much of what is put into each release is based on customer feedback. They are also working to bring better things to the system.
  • Not all of UltiPro functionality works in Chrome, likely due to the fact that Chrome is always updating their browser. None the less, it is a common browser and can cause some frustrations.
  • There is an electronic W-4 that when it works is great. However, the form is an editable PDF and Chrome does not work well with Adobe. In addition, special settings are needed in Internet Explorer for it to work.
  • The time sheet opens in a separate window which works fine most of the time. But a user needs to know that their computer may not allow pop-ups and they need to allow them with this. UltiPro is currently working on creating a new timesheet from the ground-up so I am positive that this will be fixed when that is complete.
UltiPro allows for many shift differentials as well as weighted overtime. This can be very complex for some systems, but it works very well in UtlPro.

We currently use UltiPro in my current position at Presbyterian Senior Living to run billing reports, for benefits administration, and benefits enrollment. We also use BackOffice to manage employee records/benefits tracking. It is used across the company. I find it EXTREMELY easy to use compared to other programs I have used.
  • I love the reports!
  • Can see employee info and benefit selection at a glance.
  • Easy to track payroll and attendance.
  • It would be nice if we could have more search options...for instance "search by last 4 of SSN" or by birthday.
It is appropriate for all aspects of my position. I'd never even heard of it before coming to Presbyterian Senior Living, and I must say, it has made my job MUCH easier! It takes a little while to get used to all the nuances of it, and I am sure I will continue to learn, but so far, NO COMPLAINTS!

UltiPro is being used throughout the company. HR and payroll use it to process/update employee data/pay. Employees use it for pay statements, company updates through the web portal and to request PTO through UTA.
  • Quick and easy employee access to their personal data.
  • Accessible from anywhere.
  • Paperless processes.
  • Customer service response time needs to improve - very slow to resolve payroll issues.
  • Provide entire payroll process actions in portal instead of Back Office - keeps everything in one portal.
UltiPro is well suited because it gears to provide employees and employers comprehensive functionalities resulting in improvements of work related facts.

We are using it as the HRIS and payroll system company wide. We are using it for time off requests, time system management, benefits administration including open enrollment. We had separate systems prior to UltiPro. They were systems that didn't "talk" so there was a lot of manual data entry.
  • I like that when someone goes through a life event and they add/change benefits, I don't have to give the information to the payroll administrator. It's all right there and flows to the payroll side of things.
  • For the biweekly payroll, the accrual process is nice. Instead of accruing it monthly, we now accrue it per pay period.
  • UltiPro is much more user friendly than our old systems. Plus employees only have one password to remember.
  • The monthly accrual process doesn't work well. If someone takes a day off after we have run payroll, the system has trouble calculating the correct accrual rate. It's supposed to catch up at some point but in my experience I have to make a manual correction.
  • It would be a wonderful upgrade if the employee's annual vacation accrual would populate so that they know exactly where they are when taking time off. We allow employees to go in the hole for vacation but are unable to stop employees from requesting too much through the system. I have to keep track of vacation on a spreadsheet to help people stay within their allotted hours.
  • There are a lot of screens to fill in as far as dates go such as terminations. In my mind, if you are putting the termination date in Core then it should flow to all of the other items including benefits.

We use UltiPro for our onboarding process for new hires, payroll, reviews, open enrollment and will soon be using it for life events. UltiPro is mainly used in our HR Department and our Payroll Department. It helps us to reach budget goals and run thorough reports throughout the year. We are able to run great Cognos reports for auditing purposes. We Love IT!
  • UltiPro is great with communication.
  • Their team for support is great and it's easy to use the support website.
  • It is user friendly.
  • They are always updating their systems to make it easier to use.
  • Printing documents/pay checks on the employee portal - you have to print one by one, it's time consuming.
It is well suited for our company - works great!
