In my organization, we have all our important data inside Zoho Analytics, and it is something that we keep growing every day. With all data in one place it is easier to generate reports and dashboards for all our business needs, and also analyze the performance of campaigns for our clients.
  • Charts and Reports.
  • Pivot Tables.
  • Dashboards.
  • Better UI for query tables.
  • Revision history (to revert alterations).
  • Backup system.
Zoho Analytics is well suited to create quick reports and dashboards for daily use, share with your team, or when you need to give a professional look at that presentation. With the data imported into Zoho Analytics, you can create dynamic charts to get quick insights and put them all together in a presentation or dashboard.

Our organization uses Zoho Analytics to build reports around data that is being captured in our electronic case management system. We generate reports and or dashboards to help further analyze how our programs are doing as well as how our clients are progressing. This includes demographic reports, clients served, # of touchpoints per client, as well as very specifics tied to each client.
  • Pull quantitatives from qualitative information.
  • Visualization of the data.
  • Allows for a good "read" of where your program is in terms of goals.
  • Drilling down within the data.
  • Using the data to then see the end user (client).
  • Modernization of visuals (dashboards).
Zoho Analytics (formerly Zoho Reports) is well suited for pulling reports for things just as demographics. Our organization also loves the ability to customize the reports to fit our everyday needs that may look different from other organizations. Some challenges include needing specific technical expertise to customize the reports.

We initially used Zoho CRM and then after the successful adoption of CRM, we also used the Zoho Analytics BI platform for Business Intelligence and Insights on Deals. We primarily use it for Sales and Lead Generation Insights and our use case is of simple to medium complexity. We use analytics to create some simple dashboards from our CRM data or data from other lead generation and prospect hunting channel.
  • It gives a single unified view everyday for our sales team to look at to track their progress and the progress of their peers in achieving the targets
  • It helps Account Executives to analyse their sales pipeline and find out the score for each deal and any high potential deal that is not getting enough attention
  • Some of our consultants have built very powerful stories on how and what impacts sales using storyboards and they are well understood by senior leadership
  • When compared to Tableau or PowerBI, I feel Zoho lacks the details on design, color palette, fonts, some advanced charts, etc. Tableau has somehow very new-age UI/UX
  • Some advanced AI techniques for customer segmentation (like clustering), etc. using standard algorithms like k-means etc. is not available or difficult to use
We had chosen Zoho Analytics as our preferred BI platform due to 2 main reasons:
1. We were already using Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics integrates well with Zoho CRM and learning curve is not so steep
2. With the cloud version (SaaS), the implementation cost was almost negligible and any smart engineer can deploy it for the entire company (if company size is not huge)
3. It has all the features that we would need

As a Zoho One customer we use many Zoho apps, and use the native reports within each app. However, to gain deeper insights across our Zoho apps, we've integrated many of them within a workspace in Zoho Analytics to blend our Zoho data to analyze all aspects of our business.
  • Integration of data from our other Zoho apps.
  • Report types and KPI options to create insightful reports.
  • Packed with features for all business intelligence reporting.
  • The number of pre-built reports that are generated when a Zoho app integration is set-up is nice, but at the same same cumbersome in the fact that it forces you to scroll through many reports or use the search feature.
  • The sync with other Zoho apps is not real time.
  • The learning curve for me has been a bit steep, but for others this may not be the case. My background is not analytical or data related so I've had to learn with patience.
Zoho Analytics is well suited to blend data together from different Zoho apps. For example; we manage part of our business in Zoho CRM and another part within a Zoho Creator app, with both parts referencing the same customer. In Zoho Analytics we are able to combine data from each Zoho app to gain deeper insights about a customer.

We use this to consolidate data between our admissions process and our SIS(student information system). It helps us to see the life cycle of our applicants and students and to gather real-time data. This product is used between data analytics and engineering to help further our goals and retain applicants and students.
  • Data consolidation.
  • Data manipulation.
  • Data visualization.
  • More visualization metrics.
  • More learning resources.
I think analytics and data can help in every scenario. Analytics can be really detailed so there might be times where it may not be as necessary as more simple products. If a company uses Zoho then adding Zoho Analytics will allow for greater ease of use than in comparison to Tableau.

We use Zoho Analytics to study different types of data and turn them into easy to understand analytics, which are very customizable and comprehensible. Zoho Analytics allows us to import data from any type of service into the platform and it has been a great ally at helping us understand our marketing and sales data, making it more intuitive for us because we are able to create reports and insights in a few clicks and automatically turn it into different charts or pivot tables which can help us view our data in a more simple and fragmented way. I think that this software covers a great range of data and the process is very automated, and we have been able to save a lot of time using this analytics service because it produces reports in a short time and we have been able to take smarter decisions in different marketing-related projects and create a smart business budget that works well.
  • The wide range of charts available to analyze the data makes this software very attractive and intuitive.
  • It has the ability to collaborate with other team members inside the software and it helps take more insightful decisions around different reports.
  • Zoho Analytics has a lot of variety when it comes to supported files type. I can import different data in different file type and I know that it will be supported by Zoho.
  • The smart assistant tool has been very helpful in generating many reports automatically when needed and it has also been of great help when it comes to forecasting.
  • It definitely has a steep learning curve and it can be quite overwhelming, especially with the lack of proper support and tutorials on how to use the features to get the right results.
  • I would like to see more code-free features because some of the tools require some level of coding experience which makes the experience difficult.
  • There is not much customization available for the query tables.
I think that Zoho Analytics provides a great service for its price as it contains many templates that one can use to analyze big amounts of data. I feel like this software is a great option to visualize data in a simpler way and it helps you have a more in-depth understanding of your data by breaking it down into these visually stunning insights and dashboards, and if you use other Zoho tools, I think that it becomes very beneficial to add Zoho Analytics to your plan because it makes the process easier and more convenient.

We review our key performance indicators within the Zoho Analytics space. We currently use data from both Zoho & outside sources.
  • Flexible
  • Ease of use compared to other data visualization tools.
  • Allows further access to the current Zoho Suite.
  • Doesn't push back into Zoho modules.
  • Visualization options are limited compared to competitors.
  • ETL options aren't as advanced as competitors (Power BI for example).
If you are a Zoho One customer, Zoho Analytics is a very cost-effective solution to compile core metrics. For someone working outside of the Zoho Suite, there are other options such as Microsoft PowerBI that provide a more robust overall experience.

Our business is a marketing, sales, operations, and installation business. We have 11 departments and all need to share data to create a single source of truth. We had data in Zoho CRM for our marketing and sales teams, and we also had data in Zoho Projects for our Operations and Installations team. By utilizing Zoho Analytics we were able to merge the data together into a single platform by using data syncing. With all the information contained within Analytics, we are able to report and visualize the front and back halves of the business model. Doing so allows us to gain deep insights into all the milestones of a customer's journey. We have been able to make smarter business decisions as a result of the information Zoho Analytics has provided which has to lead to our company making the INC 5000 list 2 years in a row.
  • Allowing various types of data visualizations
  • Creating reports and dashboards that can be easily shared and accessible online
  • Deliver scheduled reports via email to various email groups
  • Sync with 3rd party software, such as Google Drive, to pull in data tables
  • With so many folders in Reports, it would be nice to have a collapse all folders option
  • A trouble tickets tracker would be helpful to keep up with various case numbers in a central place
  • The support can be difficult to get a hold of at times for real time assistance
Well Suited:- Visualizing data into dashboards - Delivering reports to end-users at a pre-scheduled time, such as the end of day reports- Creating slideshows for TV displays Not Suited:- Real-time data updates (earliest automated sync is 3 hours, unless otherwise manually fetched)- Editing source data from integrated tables as it mainly displays data that is provided from external sources

We are using Zoho Analytics to collect data and analytics from our company, as well as other companies, to know how the market is doing in real-time. What I like most about this software is the live connection of external data and pixel reports and its customizable dashboards, to tailor it to our brand.
  • This software allows us to print the report in pdf format, which makes it easy for us to view and share the reports with clients and partners, without problems and file incompatibility.
  • It also allows uploading files from various sources such as Excel, Oracle, text files such as CSV, HTML, etc., as well as receiving and sending data from the cloud or local database, for the creation of reports.
  • It allows for the publication of the reports made on the company's website, blogs, and applications so that everyone can be informed of the data and analysis.
  • Can be intimidating software, especially for people who don't have a lot of coding knowledge, so it takes some time to learn.
  • I would like to see more help desk support or instructional tutorials to better guide us in the use of the software.
  • I would also like them to present templates to create reports more automatically and quickly.
We highly recommend this software, because it has helped us a lot to grow the company and make the right decisions, based on the data obtained and the accurate reports that the software allows us to make. It will be of great help to companies of all sizes, as it will help them to grow much more.

We currently pair this with our Zoho Desk product to deep dive into tickets from various departments.
  • Filters our specific data point.
  • Helps us make real time decisions.
  • Makes the data more shareable to non IT people using dashboards.
  • There's a learning curve - can be challenging compared to some competitors.
  • Formula editing or customization can be troublesome.
  • Initial setup could be smoother.
Great standalone intelligence product with pretty good data visualization options - just be prepared for a steep learning curve.

I use it across the company to look at customer flows and communications between departments or even different people in the same department. We are working to improve our customer experience through consistency in how information is delivered/received.
  • Dashboard view of various reports.
  • Integrates across the ZohoOne platform.
  • Ability to run automatic reports or ad hoc reports with ease.
  • Additional integrations to pull info from other online networking sites—NextDoor, Alignable.
The ease of customizing the reports for your needs, and having access to real-time data is a key factor in business success.

We use Analytics to track all important metrics and data across our company. Dashboards are [created] by our leadership team, but can be accessed by everyone.

  • Tons of customization options for data reporting.

Zoho Analytics is used by our sales and client relations team to have a running dashboard of all of our sales numbers. [We also use it for] our client outreach data and figures that we would share with clients and also prospects who we are trying to sell. It helps us save time and prevent duplicate work by having one central place for data visualization.
  • I love the amount of ways that there is to view data and create reports.
  • Integrations are super easy to configure and do not take a ton of work.
  • Initially learning the product is pretty easy, at least to get in and access current reports.
  • Initial set up definitely takes some time to be able to configure.
  • The AI assistant I do not think is ready for prime time yet and could be improved before adding this feature.
  • Editing charts and graphs can be difficult and tough to manage.
I would definitely recommend this tool and it is well suited for almost any business that wants to be able to track data and look at what is going on in a report or dashboard.

Zoho Reports is a user-friendly application. There are many reports to choose from a list which allows for quick reporting on the projects and events without too much development work and implementation required. Zoho Reports gives you the ability to automatically email reports to the team, which is very helpful. Dashboard creator is very easy to use as well. it's really great being able to automatically generate dashboards.
  • Integration with Zoho suite of apps and other databases
  • Reporting with many types of reports/charts/graphs
  • Features like report sharing, mail scheduling features are extremely useful.
  • High learning curve if you need more advanced functionality and customization.
  • Post level-1 customer support should be improvised for better turn around time.
  • You can not use "save as" for all reports
We like that it quickly integrates with other applications so we can pull reports together without having to build them ourselves. It is nice that you can create many different types of graphs and charts to visualize your data with interesting contents. Tons of functionality and in-depth analysis. Perfectly met and suit the business need to combine multiple data sources with Zoho CRM. Good customer support network online to help understand the software as well for beginners.

We used Zoho Reports to track project and task progress with Zoho Projects. While Zoho Projects did supply graphs and charts, the easy-to-connect Zoho Reports app made it easier to do in-depth reporting and analysis of Projects data. It is an easy one-stop solution for small to mid sized businesses who need a reporting module connected to a project/task planning app and a CRM.
  • One small but important feature that I like is that I can show dates by ISO week, this is very helpful for multi-year reporting within a business that works and speaks by ISO week.
  • Zoho Reports is a good tool to use for data reporting from Zoho Projects. Very useful if you are already in the Zoho ecosystem.
  • We use this tool to provide reports to leadership and review team goals. This is very helpful for users who do not use Zoho Projects but want information on day-to-day operations and goal setting.
  • UI needs a bit of an update to match the rest of the Zoho ecosystem
  • There is bit of a learning curve, which is not as "steep" as other BI/reporting tools
Good for analyzing data within the Zoho ecosystem, I use it for Zoho Projects however this can be used for the CRM system from Zoho as well. Not perfectly suited for a BI/reporting software that is taking imports from multiple data streams. Reports are not for offline use, which can be problematic based on the physical internet presence

We use the Zoho Reports for two different sales teams, onboarding, account management and support. Zoho Reports allows us to gather data at a company level, but then also be able to break it down to a department and team level too.
  • Easily sync data with our CRM to provide more detailed look into our metrics.
  • Reporting options make it easy to display the information needed for each manager.
  • Scheduled reporting helps free up my time to do other tasks.
  • A bit of a learning curve to begin with and so there could be some additional materials to help get started easier.
If you are already using Zoho CRM this is a given to get the most out of your data.

Zoho Reports is a complement solution we use for our BI (Microsoft Environment). It's currently deployed on a specific project and allows us to create, manage, and deploy data reports for around 30 users. We choose to use the Zoho solution because: 1. It is SAAS, 2. Learning curve is easy. 3. Pricing model is adequate. 4. Support and experience we have had with other applications sold by Zoho.
  • Ease of use and learning
  • Visualization and dashboards
  • Advanced tools
  • Advanced formulas
  • Deployment simplicity
  • ODBC connection is not simple (requires some work)
Zoho Reports is great for teams and companies that are looking for an easy to use, easy to create and easy to deploy reporting solution.

Our customers include large retail chain stores. In our product, we provide some big-data insights to our customers. We use Zoho Reports to come up with customised reports for our customers, tailor-made to fit their needs. With Zoho Reports, we are able to offer a consultancy service to our customers who want more than what our standard reports can provide.
  • Zoho Reports connects with our API endpoint to import data into Zoho Reports. It does this quite well, without enforcing specific schema restrictions on our data. Our data is stored in NoSQL database, and our API endpoint produces JSON data documents, each with different structure depending on the dataset being requested. Zoho Reports automatically interprets our data, and converts into a set of rows and columns.
  • Once our data is imported into Zoho Reports, creating different type of visualizations is a breeze. Zoho Reports enables us to create many types of charts, dashboards, pivot tables and more.
  • Zoho Reports has this feature called "Custom Formula", that allows us to create new columns in the data that are computed by applying various transformations to existing columns. For example, we are able to create a "Is Weekday" column by applying custom formula on our "Date" column. This "Is Weekday" column enables us to create visualizations that compare weekday vs. weekend performance numbers of our customers' shops.
  • The visualizations are "live". Zoho Reports can be set up to pull data from our API endpoint periodically (e.g. once every day). As the data gets updated, so do all the visualizations. We are able to publish these "live" visualizations via permalinks or embed them within another web page, so that our customers always see the most up-to-date visualizations.
  • Scheduled emails is another great feature. Once we set up a tailor-made report/dashboard for our customer, we are able to set up scheduled emails. Once set up, Zoho Reports automatically sends emails to our customers with the up-to-date copy of visualizations as attachments.
  • There is a fair bit of learning curve before you can get productive with Zoho Reports. It is not so steep that it'd scare off users, but it does take some effort to get used to the various features and options in Zoho Reports.
  • A private hosting option would be really good to have, as some of our customers might have data security concerns. Although Zoho Reports takes good measures to keep the data safe and secure, the data still gets imported from our cloud servers to Zoho Reports servers. This can be a concern for some users, for example large corporations or government entities who have their own private cloud infrastructure.
  • Editing of column names could have been easier. At the moment you have to right click on each column > click rename > type new name > Save. On save, the entire table is reloaded and the view focuses on the left-most column, instead of the column just renamed. If there are more than 5 or 6 columns, this quickly becomes irritating because you end up having to scroll to the right to get to the next column you want to rename.
I think Zoho Reports is generic enough to be well suited for many use cases that involve analysis of large data sets. With its ability to produce a wide variety of visualizations, Zoho Reports is a great option for someone who doesn't want to spend a zillion bucks on Tableau or some of the other more expensive business intelligence software out there. And all this without sacrificing too much in terms of features or functionality.
