We use Zoom Info mainly to prospect potential clients and compare contact information and the hierarchy and geolocation of the companies we work with. Some features like the Intent banner are very useful to us since we can focus 100% on companies that are currently looking for the type of solutions and products we offer. Zoominfo's filters have turned out to be quite accurate, which saves us a lot of time.

Zoom info is very good for comparing existing information with databases of contact information, revenue, number of employees and purchase intent. Streamlines the prospecting process so sales teams can focus on their main task. The ease of exporting information to different formats and CRM platforms, as well as the level of customization of searches and information management, make it very efficient, easy to use and simplify the tasks of our sales department.

We just started using ZoomInfo, and already find it really helpful with day to day activities. The sales guys are using it every day to find the right people to talk to. The Salesforce integration is great, as well. We've been in contact with people we haven't had access to before. The sales team uses ZoomInfo as part of their daily routines. We don't have to comb through old data or 'pound the pavement' anymore, but are able to filter down to discover the exact person we need.
  • Finds contact info for upper level managers; we have been able to get in front of decision makers
  • Integrates into Salesforce; it's easy to toggle back and forth between ZoomInfo and Salesforce using the ZoomInfo Chrome Extension
  • Using Engage, we can call or email from the platform; this provides us an easy way to better target the right people
  • ZoomInfo's export to Engage sometimes lags, and can take an entire day to see the contact list in Engage
  • Sometimes exporting to Salesforce isn't always seamless, since the account names can be different, and aren't always found when searched for on ZoomInfo
  • Sometimes, we see an error message saying there is a duplicate contact already in our database, when there isn't one
ZoomInfo is great when it comes to finding contact information with decision makers. We are in the process of implementing Scoops, WebSights, and Intent. Once we do, we are excited to start learning key, early indicators of buying intent within our industry. There were some hiccups when exporting to various platforms, but we are partnering with ZoomInfo to work through these. Prior to ZoomInfo, we were reliant on internal referrals to decision makers within the company, which were not always reliable or timely. Now that we have the ZoomInfo platform, we are able to discover the right people to meet with. We can email or call them directly from Engage, and export them to Salesforce. We are better equipped to cultivate quality deals, and decrease our sales cycle.

ZoomInfo SalesOS helps me fill in the missing gaps with contacts not in our current database. New contacts are updated and added all the time which is invaluable for me building out our account profiles. I estimate 50% of my opportunities were found using ZoomInfo SalesOS. The platform is also amazing with the ability to link and directly add new leads or contacts into our CRM this saves a tremendous amount of time and increases accuracy while eliminating duplicates. The contact database is rich and accurate with the ability to easily filter to find the most relevant prospect by industry, geography, company size, revenue etc. It's I think the best tool out there for finding new business. Lastly, I can only add the training and support are outstanding.

We use ZoomInfo SalesOS to get accurate contact info from decision makers in our target markets. This helps our BDR team be more productive in their outreach and ultimately book more demos. It also helps ensure we have accurate email addresses for email marketing purposes. Finally, we use this data to do extremely targeted advertising campaigns on social media using email matching from business email addresses.

ZoomInfo is not particularly well suited (currently) for companies that operate on an a tight budget as the entry level pricing is considerably higher than similar tools in the market.

zoominfo is a must if you want to reach our to potential clients within & outside your country

Each sales rep has a zoom login. It eliminates the gate-keeper issue while cold calling by getting the direct contact info you need

Larger corporations information is usually more accurate as their employees keep their resumes on linkedin up to date
hospitals with similar names I find that the contacts tend to not be listed under the correct hospital. Watching the email address to make sure that it is with the right org. would be helpful

I do about 95% outbound prospecting and 5% inbound. For inbound, I need to search for phone numbers and verify emails, as well as company revenue. For outbound, I am searching for contacts for select accounts that I work with. I need to identify the personas and contact information.

  • It provides ALL the needed information on one easy to understand page
  • The contacts listed in "Intent" is just a best "guess" who might be interested in your industry.
  • It sometimes provides results for companies I am not filtering for.

ZoomInfo SalesOS was purchased based on the sales agent telling me that the product will provide quality lead generation for companies with 0-5 employees. I clearly explained I am a small minority owned start up business with zero clients at this time and was going to use this to generate sales/leads for my business. He was able to pull up some companies and without going into depth, what he showed me made me feel it was a wise investment. The actual use of the product and experience after that is an entirely another case. I will NOT recommend the product to any SMALL business; in my experience, there is no trial period, and no way to have them honor what they claim is a guarantee. I will explain below.

Upon initial use of the service, I found that the information I was sold on being able to use the product was NOT the case in reality. The information for this size prospect company is either missing or inaccurate. IN THE FIRST 30 days, I attempted to contact and let them know. In my experience, the only people who respond is the AR team when they want money. (or after you pay them upon receipt of the invoice, they continue to contact you until their system updates 3 days later...) My account manager, once he finally responded, offered upgrades. In my opinion, again proving that they are NOT considering what I am saying. In my opinion, their product is NOT providing the quality information as promised for my size prospect. I then attempted to get them to honor their quality guarantee. In my experience, when they FINALLY put me into contact with their legal dept, they used their crafty legal terms to sneak in and make it impossible for them to be at fault. In my experience, there is no recourse or anything you can do even though they are at fault and not honoring the contract as it was sold. Basically, if you sign up for their product, regardless if it is as they promised, in my opinion, you are stuck with the USELESS product and have to pay for it. I DO NOT recommend this for any small business. Apparently, in my opinion, the sales agents care about making their sales numbers and profits and not if their product is actually usable for their small business client.

ZoomInfo SalesOS greatly assists my team's prospecting efforts in Latin America. Though we work with other vendors, ZoomInfo's reach is unmatched and truly provides great contact quality. It provides us great means to establish direct contact with the companies and organizations we want to support.

I use it for prospecting potential pursuits. This solves a lot of issues because ZoomInfo SalesOS provides me phone numbers and business emails. It is not 100% accurate, but most are, and it always points me in the right direction. I use it against some other sales tools we have, but ZoomInfo SalesOS is the main space I live in.

I regularly use Zoominfo to identify contact information and generate alerts for buyers who match my ideal customer profile, and then directly import companies and contacts into Salesforce, then imported into Salesloft for email and phone prospecting/outreach. The connection between Zoominfo and Salesforce work great. I like the email alerts when new contacts are added to my predetermined criteria. My primary concern is that I regularly encounter contact information that is outdated. But overall I like using Zoominfo.

We use Zoominfo for sales intelligence and prospecting. It allows us to narrow our efforts to very specific buyer personas and industry verticals.
  • Vast amount of data
  • UX is pretty straight forward with a little familiarity
  • Ability to narrow target and pull lots of information
  • Salesforce and Salesloft integration
  • Contact info is very hot or miss. Sometimes there are multiple phone # and emails to vet.
  • Information can be outdated, it doesn't seem to update often.
  • Intent signals appear to be relatively unreliable.
  • Not helpful for targeting early stage companies, there just isn't much info, if any
It's a very expensive tool, and we have gotten a surprisingly high amount of bad contact information from it. That said, it is still incredibly useful and the amount of information and customization is really impressive. The system integration is super helpful, and makes prospecting very time efficient...except the amount of information vetting you have to do in the event of multiple phone numbers and email addresses.

The product is user freindly and the salesforce integration is effienct and effective for tracking, The org charts help you identify descision makers that you may not have know otherwise. I use ZoomInfo to research and build a list of potential clients. I have also used it to upload old contact lists into and automatically update where people are now working or if their job title has changed. Uploading lists was seamless, and it updated in the background while I continued to work on other projects. Finding the correct contact at a company has always been a challenge and a real task when you call and ask for a specific position instead of a person. Normally the gatekeeper would send you to voicemail. When you look up the contact on ZoomInfo and call and ask for them directly, most time you speak to a real person the first time. Takes the long cold call task and makes it much quicker.

  • InSite's into who has viewed your company website recently.
  • Ability to load outside information and ZoomInfo searches it automatically.
  • Sometimes the contact information is out of date.
  • It would be nice if you request and update a contact if you got a reply saying it was done or not.
Looking at who has viewed our website has got me six meetings out of the six calls I made to companies who viewed our site in the last 4 hours.

ZoomInfo allows me to quickly find information on prospective clients in a number of ways. If I need to quickly find out who makes purchasing decisions at a business I drove by that I would like to stop in at - I can do that using their mobile app. If I need to build a hyper-focused prospecting list for a call-campaign - I can do that using any of the rich filters. If I have information that I think would be valuable to share with a specific job title at companies in (x) industry, then I can quickly create a salesflow which enables me to, not only email a tailored list using {variables} for things like "name", "company", "industry", etc, but then will also allow me to easily track the progress and success of whatever action-items I create within the salesflow using their engage feature.

I used ZoomInfo for marketing automation and recruiting purposes. It was used to take executive candidates to market in a customized and targeted fashion, based on the candidate's specified requirements. ZoomInfo offered a platform which allowed for target list customization by way of filters.

I use this in order to gain connections with companies and candidates. This platform has been amazing to use and gain insight on industries.
I also love the fact that I can connect with candidates and that this platform works hand in hand with MANY other platforms to allow me an inside look at the companies and candidates I am looking at.

  • Allows you to get most all the information you need all in one platform.
  • A little more up to date as at times I will export a list and some of the numbers do not correspond to the person I call.
  • I would love to see a more friendly filter option for the mobile app as there are more options on desktop.
As far as less appropriate, I must say there really isn't room for this statement. This is a useful tool to have as it has allowed me to gain insight into industry sizes, reputations, and to gain some very strong connections.
It has also helped me in getting candidates into new positions just by giving me the info I needed to make the calls I needed to make and I have been able to make some strong connections in that aspect.

We use Zoom INfo for two purposes. The first is in support of validation of our BI data and the second is for new business development. Our Marketing Department uses the system as well. For development, Zoom Info is used within a cadence of prospecting with the use of content being sent based upon the contacts provided by Zoom Info.

I can directly run my Outreach campaigns and sequences from Zoominfo , secondly it helps segregation of customers Industry wise , employee size wise, Scoop feature helped me secure new customer meetings by giving real time insights of what is happening in the organisation. I can also view interest level of companies for a particular use case like HR Payroll, HRMS which is useful for me.

ZoomInfo is amazing in supplying me contact info for those that i need to reach out to regarding marketing and advertising. Zoominfo supplies a lot of info regarding company industry, revenue, location, funding info etc...all of which is very helpful when prospecting. they also help to find local businesses in my area that fall into certain categories i am prospecting

I am from sales development team, so reaching out to the potential customers is the important part of the job. So Zoominfo helps to profile the prospects from the target accounts. The biggest help that Zoominfo provides is in prospecting the target accounts. Reaching out to prospect whose contact is not there with us, it is so easy with zoominfo. Its advanced filter options makes it really convenient to search from the thousands of accounts. Its tag feature allows to group selected prospects based on criteria, which can be later accessed. This helps in organizing the task.

  • Exporting the contacts or list to external tools like outreach.

  • Search list shows only 25 contacts per page.

Since we have to deal with account prospecting for south India region, cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad have thousands of mid market accounts which are potential customers. So it's not practically possible to have contacts from all the target companies. So, here zoominfo plays a very important role in reaching out to the prospects from these accounts. We are just given the names of the target companies and with the help of zoominfo, we can profile the accounts and reach out to the prospects, giving a huge boost to the business.

I use zoominfo to client prospect. I'll use the intent search to look for people interested or advanced search for a specific category. I'm in ZoomInfo every day making sure that I am able to prospect efficiently. This addresses when I cannot find a correct contact or their net worth to see if they have any money to use for advertising.

Zoom Info is well suited when again, I am prospecting. I need help when I am trying to work on a particular category so I use the advanced search. Advanced search also helps to see if a company has a marketing budget. It is great with intent to see if a company is looking to advertise.

CRM sales data is often incomplete with several missing fields such as employee count, industry, etc. Zoominfo company information is used to enhance CRM data as well as for sales data analysis. I have also used it occasionally for market analysis. The contact database is also often used in demand generation and targeting efforts.

  • In my opinion, search function is a little kinky. doesn't always work well
  • Chrome extension does not work half the time
  • They have an employee range on the company page. For the longest time, I did not realize that you can hover on the employee range to see the actual count. Instead of hiding it thus, it should be more prominently placed
  • I have sometimes seen that the web version of Zoominfo can have different employee counts
Overall, it is a decent system which integrates with various CRMs, making it very useful. It is also good for targeting exercises.
However, it is not the best system if accuracy is important. Also, Zoominfo is good for simple searches but the advanced search functionality is not very good.
I have also found at times that when I search a company through Zoominfo, it may not yield any results, but when I do a Google search, the Zoominfo result is among the first 10 hits. So, the way they tag companies or enter them is not very effective.
