We have been using ActiveCampaign for a year now and it has helped to automate and streamline alot of our communication and processes. We really enjoy the logic automation and form builder! As a small nonprofit we are unable to find alot of affordable and easy-to-implement products, ActiveCampaign provided that for us!
  • Logic Automation
  • Forms
  • CRM tagging
  • Email formatting
  • Integration of other platforms
  • Logic suggestions for automation
We have found ActiveCampign great for small nonprofit, CRM needs including tagging and segmentation, basic automation logic, embedding forms on the website.

We could see ActiveCampaign potentially not best for large CRM needs, more advanced automation logic, advanced email formatting, advanced form building.

We highly recommend trying ActiveCampaign for small business and nonprofit needs.

ActiveCampaign is the backbone of our business for both Fulfillment, Sales, and Marketing. ActiveCampaign has helped us easily and quickly automate marketing emails for webinars and classes and lets our sales team and fulfillment team members view contacts and send out any notices. It is a great tool to centralize our business operations.

ActiveCampaign is a great product for companies who are just getting started with a CRM or have a need for straightforward contact automation. E-Learning companies or coaching companies specifically could have a great experience with this CRM. It is not super complex, so I would not recommend it for larger companies that have a lot of requirements for detailed segmentation.

Easy to use, quick to implement, fast to integrate, [and] outstanding customer support. What else? We use ActiveCampaign in our automation flows, send our [periodic newsletters], and even manage our sales pipeline. My marketing team can use it to send the newsletter with restricted access, so I'm sure they [don't] make mistakes with automation or sales features. I was coming from a bad experience with another automation software. I'm not a newbie, but it was hard to manage, even impossible to use for my employees. ActiveCamapign solved all my issues. The migration team helped us import contacts, and [with] automation, even improving them [for smoother] flows. The onboarding was excellent, and the 1-to-1 on-demand sessions are perfect for solving more personalized questions.
  • Perfect onboarding.
  • Helpful 1-to-1 sessions, [...] are perfect for solving more personalized questions.
  • Easy to set up automation, you have [the] most common template and use case, examples, and support.
  • Email sending, no problem of spam detection or bad delivery; everything is sweet and smooth.
  • I'd love to have more detailed reporting to understand how I can improve my flows to attract more people. Reports need to set up a lot of filters, and you can't save it as a template for your next time.
  • Integration with WordPress plugins like Elementor can go better. Sometimes the field mapping is complicated.
ActiveCampaign is great for efficiently managing automation flows. You can drag and drop elements and make even more complex flows. We are using the Plus version, and it is enough for us just by adding more contacts management. You can use full versions for more structured enterprises to have additional useful features like machine learning, sending options, and more. ActiveCampaign is weak if you are looking for solid reporting features. You can't replace MixPanle with ActiveCampaign and track your contacts' behaviors.

We are using ActiveCampaign as a sales pipeline software and a follow-up automation system to generate new leads for our core offerings. ActiveCampaign has been very useful to follow-up with individual users and large organizations. As it stands the main problems it is addressing have to do with how we process our organic leads to increase the likelihood of them becoming customers.
  • Easy to use email automations
  • Simple sales pipeline
  • Contact management
  • Easy to understand premium plans
  • Reasonable pricing
  • Internal trainings
  • Further tailoring of email automations
  • Flexibility in sales funnel
  • Difficult to tailor emails visually
  • Automations could be easier to manage
In our experience ActiveCampaign is well suited as part of an effective follow-up sales automation, with the different contact lists, it is easy to segment your audiences and create tailored follow-up experiences for your different target audiences. In terms of the sales pipeline, it is good for a simple approach to this, it may be lacking for complex sales transactions.

ActiveCampaign bubbled up as the premier tool for our email marketing. There are so many other options out there, and believe me, our team tried quite a few, but ActiveCampaign stayed at the top of our list and is our only choice now. Integrated with the GroupLeads plugin (Chrome browser) gives us great automation to connect FB leads and email contacts, allowing us to set up an entire campaign for maximum connection to our fitness community. Our problems of glitches and dropped emails don’t happen with ActiveCampaign as it did with several other solutions. Just make sure you use a Chrome browser!
  • Integrates with GroupLeads effortlessly.
  • Catches and administers email campaigns without glitches.
  • A fully developed solution for us, they’ve been around for a while!
  • At first, we thought the monthly fee was a bit steep, and maybe it still is, but we are getting good value.
  • Offer a lifetime subscription option and we’ll be customers for life!
  • Dashboard is a little confusing at first. Maybe run some focus groups to get a better feel for what snapshot people are looking for.
We know it is well-suited for use with the plug-in GroupLeads, and also as a standalone solution for email list campaigns. As far as we use it, we haven’t found it to be lacking (small business environment).

We have been using Active Campaign for only 2 months. It is a step up for us to become more automated in the digital space. We will be using the product to email, text and have a presence in Social Media. The automation recipes are so beneficial in implementing your strategies.

  • data management
  • easy to integrate
  • Would have loved a more of one-on-one approach when initially setting up

We use it to send email campaigns to our mailing list, mainly. We also set some automations for those user who download certain pdf or masterclass from our website and we tag the mails in our list so we know who to send determined emails in specific moments. We would like to use it as a CRM so we'll be working on it soon.
  • Tagging every contact on your list
  • Integrations with different tools as Typeform or wordpress
  • Automations to make sure every contact is treated with care.
  • Emails desing
  • I never use ActiveCampaign forms, as I think the aesthetics is not good enough, or editable, or maybe I just don't know how to do it, but I can't make it look as the rest of my website when I embed it there.
  • It would be interesting to have an easier way to test the automations. Like a faster preview.
  • An structural template to organize your lists and tags
This is the best tool I've found to have your mailing list ready and classified. Integrations with WordPress plugins are perfect, and you will be able to send different emails to your list depending on the contact's behaviour, moreover it's not difficult to use and your employees can learn how to use it quite fast. However, if your list is less than 5.000, or you don't send emails frequently, just think about the money it costs, to calculate if it's worth it. This is the case of some of my clients who are starting their business and find ActiveCampaign a bit expensive.

We use ActiveCampaign to incentivize customers to leave us reviews or to send certain discounts to certain customers.
Actually we use it for this small business most but we are starting to use it also in the main organization that work in the steel industry.
Our objective is to use ActiveCampaign to create a ton of nurturing mail, increasing customer loyalty.
  • mail automations options
  • segmentation
  • usability
  • case studies
  • integration with other platform
ActiveCampaign is perfect for that situation where you need to do a lot of identical operation and after a precise actions, like sending a discount code after the mail subscription or request a review after a certain time or by sending an a soup opera sequence etc.
I think it's useful for every business model, we're living in the information era where marketing reigns supreme and we have always less time for us so why we have to waste it with repetitive actions or what someone else could do?

ActiveCampaign is the core customer database in the business and we use it for marketing campaigns, customer service and follow up.
  • Sequence of follow up for all customer funnels and communication
  • Tracking of customer behaviour
  • Reporting and customer behaviour
  • Interface preferences could be long term - selecting filters to be the default
  • Email creation interaction
  • More detailed analytics
ActiveCamapign is awesome if you are putting marketing funnels into your business to promote and service customers. I love the detail, flexibility and integration of automations and actions clients take.

if you are putting in email follow up and you want to respond to customer behaviours AC is the best. It integrates with other software really well like ClickFunnels and you can easily track between products.

AC follow up sequences is the best and most track able product out there.

I use it for my online programs. They enter the automation via a paying system. Then they get the emails after the sales, during the program and for aftersales.
  • Clarity in setting up a campaign and automation
  • UI
  • User experience
  • steps in an automation
  • Introduction in use of the tool. I bought a 100 euro course to learn how to use it.
  • So onboarding emails.
I love the way it is set up. I like using it. Sometimes the automation doesn't work and I can't seem to find out what is wrong and then the helpdesk is super super fast!

We are using ActiveCampaign as a link generation tool, email campaign tool for our customers and are very satisfied with the tool.
Plenty of automation features that are helpful in our daily business.
We compared AC to other tools on the market and concluded to use AC as it is the clear market leader.
  • automation
  • user handling
  • feature set for email sequences
  • mobile interface on smartphones (app) is missing
Active Campaign is well suited for the automation of email sequences and up/downsells for our products. Also for user handling and email broadcasts, it can be used perfectly. We are using it as a CRM System as well.
Only the user interface on mobile phones is poor (the app is missing )

I'm a very small (soon to be BIG) health coaching company. I used it as well as my web developer over the last year. It was being used to help us set up drip campaigns, send email campaigns, and was starting to be used as a CRM. The goal was to create a funnel to tag clients and put them into list segmentations so we could market from there!
  • I love the drag and drop feature in the drip campaign section
  • I really like the ease of creating good looking emails
  • I liked how easy it was to upload my own media into the email templates
  • I feel like the dashboard, side nav bar is confusing. I don't always remember what each icon takes me to.
  • Theres generally a lot of options on the first page of the platform. I'm not fully sure of the workflows at times.
  • I definitely needed a web developer to help me understand what functions do what. I didn't always know what actions on the backend, reflected what actions on the front end.
It's a LOT more intuitive than Keap. I switched from Keap which was way too far outside my breadth of knowledge. AC not only made it easy to upload my email contacts, make the switch and test emails, but they didn't back me into a contract I couldn't get out of. That's a HUGE plus. As a small business, you just never know what's going to come up and having the option to stop at anytime, is really vital, especially during a global pandemic.

We use it to have a database of our clients and potential clients, and to contact them in a segmented way
  • Segment customers
  • Automated email sending
  • Move from one list to another automatically
  • The interface is not quite intuitive
  • Learning the platform is complex
  • Price jumps are disparate
It is a program that for a not excessive price can be used to program your email marketing campaigns, segment your audience and improve your conversion processes.

We use ActiveCampaign to automate the marketing processes and reach more potential students, so they apply to our university. We have it connected to other platforms that is being used for international student application processing.
  • Easy to use automation builder
  • Great selection of templates
  • Unique list handling system
  • Better tag system
  • A bit slow reaction time sometimes

In our company we started using ActiveCampaign because of its ease of integration with all the areas necessary to carry out its function within the marketing department. It was really easy to integrate ActiveCampaign and get it working for the first time. In addition, the support service is really good and effective, so any issues that may arise can be easily resolved.
  • Easy integration
  • Easy campaign sending
  • Easy marketing automations

Really, ActiveCampaign works well with almost any scenario for any company that wants to do email marketing, CRM or email marketing automation work.

ActiveCampaign has options for all the needs of any business, plus they are very flexible and have many pricing options, so it is recommended for any type of business.

ActiveCampaign is the easiest software for creating regular newsletters for the members of my website. I have used a few other companies for my newsletters in the past but they were always clunky, overly confusing and complicated and the designs of the layouts were less than inspiring. It meant that I avoided writing newsletters and that costs a business dearly!

ActiveCampaign has made it easy for me to talk to my members in just 20 minutes. By creating templates for different areas of the business and having clear and easy to create contact lists I can target different people easily, whether it's to share a job alert, new blog post or podcast or to share a new feature they can check out.

It's also been really easy to integrate it with my website so I don't have to lift a finger. I just set up a email sequence and it's done. Total game changer.
  • Easy to save your settings (fonts/colours) so you can use them again if starting a news letter from scratch
  • They are constantly updating the way it works. The addition of the backwards step was very much appreciated
  • You can easily see previous templates and just rewrite the content to save time
  • I like that you can send yourself a test email to see how the layout looks. It's a quick step but has made all the difference
  • There could me more tutorials and help for non tech people.
I have no tech experience but I found it quite easy to find my way around getting everything set up. There are some more complex areas where I needed to hire someone to do some set ups for me. Perhaps that's my lack of coding knowledge

We use ActiveCampaign to create and manage all of our email marketing campaigns to clients, leads, partners, and internal communications. It's proven to be extremely useful, very efficient, and very easy to use. We create everything email-related, from newsletters to quick announcements and email sequencing for current customers. We integrated ActiveCampaign with NetSuite so it's very easy to access all the latest information from our customers and it makes campaign creation, audience filtering, and list creation so much easier.
  • Email automation that's easy to set up and is very thorough in terms of options, triggers, and actions.
  • Easy to use email builder
  • Track activity of your contacts in your site
  • Very easy to integrate with other tools
  • Could have a few more pre-made templates
  • Sometimes it can be a little slow
ActiveCampaign is very useful for mid to large-scale companies that need help improving their overall email marketing operations. I don't think it makes sense to use ActiveCampaign for a small business and/or if you're just starting. Other simpler and cheaper platforms like Mailchimp can do the trick. But once you master Mailchimp and feel that you're ready to get started with more advanced email marketing strategies, then ActiveCampaign is the best option.

ActiveCampaign is being used to run automations at my organization and to recover add to carts, engage our clients in constant communication with new product updates, payment options and YouTube videos.
  • Recovering abandoned carts
  • Seamless integration with Shopify
  • Detailed reports with marketing revenue from each campaign
  • More customization options on graphic design for emails
  • more affordable pricing
  • Better and easier graphic design in general
Is well suited for ecommerce business owners that already have frequent sales and it is less appropriate for new online businesses starting out, the pricing is not cheap.

We use ActiveCampaign to automate email marketing across all divisions of our company and also as a simple CRM. It helps us communicate with our database manually with single campaigns and on 'autopilot' once automation is set up.
  • Email Marketing Automation
  • Integration with other tools via API
  • List and contact segmenting
  • Email creation can be glitchy and slow at times
  • CRM could have better 'Task' functionality

We introduced ActiveCampaign to help an external marketing partner last year. Our goal was we were building a better onboarding automation for new subscribers than we used before. We would have liked to segment our new subscribers based on several aspects. Then we send automated emails based on different tags.
  • displaying automations
  • reporting
  • clarified administration panel
  • no native integration with unbounce

ActiveCampaign is being used throughout multiple projects I work on and for many client accounts - to keep in contact with a large number of users, to engage them and generate sales. It’s value for money and simple yet powerful interface makes our job a lot easier than it was previously. We use it also to ensure we hit our core KPIs.

  • Email marketing
  • Lead management
  • Track sales
  • Less plan segmentation
ActiveCampaign is well suited for any business that values communications with their clients. For example when running a marketing consulting service, it allowed me to re-engage users to become highly valuable clients. I can’t think of a situation where a business is not benefitted by using its services. Client rapport builds trust, trust builds valuable brands that sell more.

I use ActiveCampaign to simplify my marketing and communication with customers. I create automations to track and engage new customers. It is used across the entire organization. It saves me time and keeps things organized. I don't have to manually track email addresses and current and potential customers. Any time I have an event, I create automations to send out before and after the event to keep customers engaged without much effort on my part.
  • Easy to use
  • Versatile
  • Great customer service
  • Make the reports easier to access
I used ActiveCampaign when setting up a webinar. I set up a sequence where the participants were given information before, allowed to sign up, links to other pages to engage, and had the opportunity to collect materials. It makes it seem a lot less salesy and more personalized. As a novice user, the entire sequence took less than an hour to create from start to finish, which I would not have thought possible.

We use AC for Email Marketing along with the CRM for prospect tracking.
I'm the primary person using it as I'm the salesperson. We started using it for email automation but found the CRM very user-friendly and easy to work with.
  • Prospect / Client Contact Record tracking
  • Email Automation
  • Advanced Campaign flow
I've tested and helped clients with several platforms. Though I do have other platforms that I will recommend much of the time, AC is my #2 choice, which is saying a lot. I'm happy that it's such a powerful CRM and email platform yet still affordable for small businesses.

If you are looking for a platform that gives you the tools to do some advanced follow-up automation, AC is a great platform.

We use ActiveCampaign for our email automation. We give prospects different tags when they fill out different landing pages. This places them in the automation for the particular product they've shown an interest in.
  • Email automations
  • Email campaigns
  • Contact tracking
  • Website tracking
  • Contact management by company should be easier
ActiveCampaign is great for nurturing leads through its email automation. You can map out drip-out emails to your leads in a very visual way. It gives you a lot of control over which branch the lead takes in the automation depending on the actions they have taken (clicking on links in the email, opening the email, etc.).
