We don't get the support we need from UKG Pro or if we do, it's not timely.

We do understand that we are going to have to change Time management because it's no longer supported. We also need to add a scheduling tool.
  • Good source of Employee data;
  • Reports are fairly wasy to use
  • Our Executive Account Manager is great to work with
  • Time to respond to cases
  • The buck being passed to other areas of the business
  • Lack of personal attention, feel like your request go to AI or a black hole
Again, the tool is good, user friendly but its the support that is lacking.

It would be a great system if you're a larger company, with multiple state/country payroll and have a do-it youself mindset. If you are smaller, or don't have the bandwidth, UKG Pro might not be the best fit

I am an HR Director, and I use UKG Pro every day. UKG Pro is our HRIS system of record for nearly 625 employees. In addition, we utilize the UKG Pro recruiting and onboarding. UKG Pro gives me the ability to drill down into the organization and create helpful reports for measuring turnover, retention, etc.
  • Security is very good at keeping the date hard to access if you do not have proper authentication to access it.
  • Relatively easy to run organizational reports ad hoc or scheduled.
  • Can combine various functions together, time keeping, recruiting, etc.
  • The reporting is robust but can be frustrating at times when just trying to get an ad hoc report created quickly.
  • Navigation is a bit clunky, reminds me of older ERP systems at times
It is a strong system made for large organizations, definitely not a small business tool. UKG Pro stands up well to other systems in its class and, if set up properly, can be a very useful and successful system for most organizations. Do not try to over-customize it and make it do things that it was not set up to do; this is where the system gets a bad rap but should not since it is not being allowed to operate optimally.

We use UKG Pro for HR, Timekeeping, and Payroll. We moved from using three separate products to UKG in order to streamline.
  • UKG Pro has allowed us to better automate our payroll processing.
  • UKG Pro has helped us become a more paper-free organization.
  • UKG Pro allows us to customize the solution to meet our growing and evolving business needs.
  • As UKG is aware, the support for customers needs some improvement. As the recent changes to the staffing/support hierarchy take effect, I hope to see some relief to the current frustrations.
  • As the UKG Pro products evolve, they need to become more integrated and less segmented. Having to purchase multiple products that then need to coordinate for processing leads to issues.
  • As users, we have a lot of options for self-service and customization, but some simple fixes still require assistance from UKG support. Give us the power to help ourselves whenever possible.
Overall, UKG Pro has been a worthwhile investment for our company. It fits our current needs and has the functionality to continue to improve our business processes, given the time to learn and implement new pieces. I wish we could be on one system only (instead of Pro and Workforce Management for the time), but I've been told with our company size, that would not be wise. I hope future developments and releases will allow all customers to have a unified experience.

UKG Pro is the HRIS platform that manages our people data across the organization. We were seeking a unified solution to eliminate issues with disparate systems. UKG Pro helped simplify processes, allowed the HR team to become more strategic, automated workflow to reduce data errors and introduced self-service to our associates.
  • Training is offered at no additional cost. You have 24/7 access to webinars, quick tours, documentation, etc. which really helps you become more invested in UKG Pro.
  • Customer support is superior. You have access to knowledge experts who are interested in your successful use of UKG Pro.
  • The UKG Pro user interface is intuitive allowing for ease of use by both managers and associates.
  • UKG Pro has an amazing user resource called UKG Community that offers a wealth of information.
  • Tax Filing can be tricky. Be sure to understand the process and keep on top of any action on your part.
  • Using a new system can be intimidating. Take as much training as possible to fully understand how to best leverage all of the features of UKG Pro.
  • Try to plan for the possibility of future growth upfront. Think about where you are trying to be in 10 years - will your HRIS platform sustain your growth plan?
The UKG Pro offers key HRIS features to support the lifecycle of an employee and beyond. While most HRIS solutions have this functionality, there are unique differentiators around this product, services and on-going support with UKG that are remarkable. UKG as a whole puts people first in everything they do - that not only influences the experience you have with the product and services, it also positively impacts your experience as a client. The UKG Community is such a valuable resource that puts knowledge articles, learning, and more at your fingertips. We use UKG Pro for several aspects of our Human Resources. I mostly use it for timekeeping, tracking my payroll, and setting up annual goals. It allows us to have all of our HR and Payroll needs in 1 convenient place. We are also able to access UKG Pro outside of the physical building in case we need to access our records outside of working hours.
  • Maintains a full history of employment for an employee.
  • Accurately keeps track of time clocked in and out, as well as any time off or overtime.
  • Allows the user to input goals to reach towards with their supervisor and track them as they are completed.
  • The URL to access the company-specific portal can sometimes be confusing.
  • The username/password isn't linked internally, so separate information is needed.
  • It would be nice if UKG Pro synced automatically with Outlook or specific calendar programs for easy time off tracking.
UKG Pro makes it very easy to track time off. It allows our company to put in requests for time off and keep track of when an employee is clocking in and out. My manager can also see my time sheets and approve them wherever. It also helps us keep track of our annual goals. It allows me to put in comments as well as my supervisor. These goals go to management for annual review. I like being able to go back and review old goals to see how much I've developed.

UKG Pro is our main timekeeping and payroll solution for our organization. Our needs in a payroll system involve several different types of employment, including temporary and contracted in addition to full and part time. We also have needs to manage payroll across multiple business units that are all part of the same EIN#. UKG allows us to be able to navigate different earning types as well.
  • UKG is user friendly. The interface is easily accessible for all employees.
  • Open enrollment has become much easier now that it is processed through UKG
  • Approvals and hiring process flows are streamlined.
  • We currently struggle using the scheduling platform in a way that suits our needs.
  • The tax compliance support has been a struggle over our time with UKG.
  • Setting up filing needs in new states can be cumbersome.
UKG is well suited for an organization that has a muti-faceted workforce that is not a one-size-fits-all type of organization. We have everything from retail to manufacturing, and the features allow for us to accommodate all of those needs. If you have needs for project accounting or allocating wages to different clients, UKG Pro doesn't seems to have great solutions to accommodate those needs.

Since implementing UKG Pro, our employees are able to access their vacation time and personal information with much more ease. It is also an effective tool for our HR team to ensure recruitment activities can be carried out efficiently.

Our company moved to UKG Pro in 2019. This was our first successful joint HR and Payroll solution. UKG Pro streamlined our practices in so many ways. We were able to have one system of record to store and maintain employee information. We were able to streamline our resources, which allowed us to have more time to focus on other HR initiatives. We transitioned our company from paper forms, to online workflows which reduced time and limited document loss. We were able to add additional modules to our core HR and Payroll product, and fully integrated performance management, learning & development, benefits, and compensation management. UKG is always updating their product so that it is the best on the market and we really felt that. The system was easy to use and has a modern look and feel. I loved my time using UKG Pro and would suggest it to anyone looking for a new HRIS.

We use the core system as well as UTM (UKG Time Management) and Onboarding. We use it for onboarding, process hires, workflows, performance reviews, timekeeping, payroll, reporting, dashboarding as well as many other HR functions. We use it to help our processes in HR become more efficient and accurate.
  • Cognos Analytics provides live data reporting with 1000s of reportable fields.
  • The product is aesthetically pleasing allowing for users to learn more efficiently.
  • You can create processes either extremely high level or with more granularity, depending on company needs.
  • More fields in the onboarding BI package would be great.
  • Salary/Performance planning should be included in the base package in my opinion, not as an additional cost, this is a basic HR function everyone needs.
  • More consistency in support teams, we are constantly getting a new account manager and they have to re-learn our company needs, it gets exhausting.
I enjoy the look and feel of UKG. UKG also does a good job with the R1/Spring and R2/Fall releases, usually they listen to customer needs and try to make updates based off of some of those needs. I don't like that not everyone has BackOffice, the web is still nowhere close to where it needs to be to have the same access and abilities as backoffice.

We use UKG Pro for all our reporting, Human Resources and payroll needs.
  • People Analytics---customer support reps. are knowledgeable and helpful
  • Import tool--valuable asset for customers to have the ability to import files without having to create a case
  • Mass Updates--another tool that allows customers to make their own updates en mass
  • Case selection items--there is no clear distinction for the customer as to which item to choose when creating a case. I.E. When do we choose system administration as opposed to HR administration?
  • UKG Learning--There should be a way to add someone to the area to take classes without allowing them access to cases, sign up for classes that were unassigned
  • Demonstrations---UKG allows customers to give webinars on how they use the system. At times, UKG reps. do this as well, but would like to see them do this more often
Recruiting module---The onboarding, creating of opportunites meets most of our business needs. However, it isn't easy to create a report to capture the length of time a candidate has been within each step. This would be beneficial as we would be able to tell where the bottlenecks may be. If it takes awhile for the manager to review a resume or application, then the time to fill a position is increased. We'd like to easily show this problem to management.

I personally love using UKG and love to show our organization better ways to utilize the product. Yes, everything costs money and as a hospitality industry HR does not make money but what we do have to do is ensure our associate's are being paid quickly, correctly and accurately. I was part of the original project team that implemented UKG Pro (then UltiPro) for our company in 2017 to 2018. We were also a beta customer for the Benefits Prime (now Benefits Administration) system. We have since added additional modules to our platform, including Performance Management, Compensation Management, LMS (integrated with LinkedIn Learning), and UKG Dimensions (in progress now). We have integrated UKG Pro with our SuccessFactors succession planning system and our iCIMS Recruiting and Onboarding system.
UKG Pro manages all of our associate HR, Payroll and Benefits data seamlessly and integrates our multiple platforms that I support as part of the IT Corporate Applications department. We have found that the system is easy to navigate and use for our business customers, and also provides excellent training and documentation materials for customers.

  • Difficulty in configuring security for managers who require visibility to more than one Org Level hierarchy in UKG Pro
  • Platform configuration fields are difficult to add to queries and do not interface to other modules/systems
Prior to working with UKG Pro (UltiPro), I was a software developer and analyst for the PeopleSoft suite of HCM products and thought that they were the best on the market. UltiPro (now UKG Pro) was my first exposure to SaaS (cloud-based) HCM systems, and I must say that I now prefer this platform since I no longer need to handle never-ending tax and regulatory updates, but just receive the bulletins of changes as they are applied, as well as receiving 2 major releases per year, which are much easier to handle. I also like the frequent Newswires and Customer Community which provide ongoing information regarding system updates and great ideas shared by other UKG customers for creative ways to utilize the system. I have been a big fan of the online training and targeted webinars (especially for BI reporting, payroll functionality, etc.) that have been provided in the past and hope to see that continue under the UKG Pro merger.

We use UKG Pro for payroll, tax payments and wage garnishments, HR record-keeping, recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, surveys, timekeeping, performance reviews, reporting. We currently have 13 component companies on [the] UKG Pro Platform and three different payroll frequencies. We also use UKG Pro as the system to feed employee status and employment information to our active directory, IT set-ups in Service Now, and other 3rd party systems the business units use to manage employee user access.
  • Streamline payroll and tax payments
  • BI reports and analytics - via scheduled delivery
  • Consolidating all employee data on a user-friendly platform for easy navigation and administration
  • Products are holistic, and all geared towards helping HR and companies manage their teams and team members
  • Include SSO links in notification emails for users that work in the field that use the mobile app, as well as the standard links that route back to the desktop. e.g. PTO request approvals, job requisition approvals, people assist notifications
  • Service requests in Ultimate Community have a serious lag. Provide more resources to get projects completed in a more timely manner. Most steps are stalled in our internal projects that require data feeds, UDES, or interface builds waiting for a UKG resource assignment.
I love that UKG [Pro] is open to new ideas and implementing changes based on client feedback. UKG [Pro] has a very robust reporting and analytic database with BI reporting. I use UKG Pro to process payroll for our employees and independent contractors. We use UKG Pro for our HR systems to store our employee information. We use WFM to log in employee hours and use Time off system. In 2023 we will begin to use the Performance tool, for our annual reviews. This feature also includes goal, and goal setting to monitor progress. We also UKG to post company bulletins and handbooks, any information that is useful to the employee. We also use reporting system to pull reports needed each day to assist us with Payroll or HR needs.

  • Recent server issues has cause slow time in using the system. Better and faster access to UKG Pro is helpful.

  • Unable to have our employees access 1099 NEC forms on their UKG accounts as well as t4A for our Canada contractors
UKG Pro is user friendly and mostly reliable, its a better system than ADP previously used. Its not 100% the best but its user friendly and easy to learn. The system may not be suitable for 1099 NEC payroll/reporting and Canadian Businesses that we were able to use in ADP to pay our businesses.

We use it for its HRIS, Recruitment and Onboarding capabilities. We also use Business Analytics to pull employee reports and analyze data. I love how all integrations work together seamlessly.

I use it to do my timecard, any pay inquiries including paystubs and to handle administrative tasks like changing bank accounts for direct deposits.

Furthermore, we use the site to carry out mandatory trainings per quarter and keep track on all trainings. This helps the company to be able to handle most HR inquiries and trainings in one consolidated website that is very easy to use.

The reason I say that, is for the cost if your under 2,500 employees there are a lot of software options that companies can use that are definitely cheaper and can provide the same amount of functionality that UKGPro does. However if your company is more than 2,500 employees this is definitely the way to go because of its easy to use UI, its mobile application, and other top notch features.

To my knowledge, we utilize UKG for Time Management, Pay, Time Off/PTO, UKG Pro Learning for Trainings and I believe we will soon start internal goals and reviews through UKG. I utilize UKG Pro as an employee that is not in the HR department so I do not see some of the implementation and back-end reporting. However, I think its ability to be all encompassing is a quality in a software tool that all businesses need.

We currently use UltiPro as our main HRIS. We process payroll and benefits as well. Since our conversion last year, so many HR/Payroll functions have been streamlined and improved. Reporting in business intelligence has been tremendously helpful.

UKG helped our company go paperless in the hiring and onboarding process. It has also made transferring employees from departments extremely easy. UKG helped us create alerts and triggers to notify the correct teams when actions take place in the system. This helps notify IT when employees are terminated to keep us secure.

We use UKG Pro for Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Recruiting, Performance Management, and Time Management. I have used many different Payroll and HRIS systems in the past twenty years and UKG is by far the best. The functionality is so expansive and the system is very user friendly for both the employees and us Administrators. Their reporting functionality is very good and easy to use.
  • Recruiting is very in-depth and there are a lot of options to customize it.
  • Payroll is very user friendly and comprehensive.
  • Business Intelligence Reporting module is a little difficult to edit reports to add or remove fields.
  • Would like the option to import deduction corrections that do not overwrite their current deductions.
I have not found any areas in which the functionality was sub par. From my experience using other systems, UKG is leaps ahead of any of the others.

Good products. Customer Service however in the last 2 years has fallen short of expectations. Cases sit idle for weeks with no one responding to them, even after contact your Acct Mgr or Rapid Response to assist in moving the case forward or getting assistance.

I use UKG Pro for checking in/checking out/lunch etc. I also use to prepare our payroll for all of our employees. We run many reports that help us with our payroll & HR departments. We haven't had any business problems since we obtained UKG Pro in October 2019. UKG Pro has been great thus far. No complaints on our end.

UKG is used for everything from the moment a candidate applies until after their separation and everything in between across our entire organization. It is used integrated with our most common job posting services (Indeed and LinkedIn), it encompasses our entire recruitment effort and module, all of our onboarding, hiring, benefits, payroll, BI for reporting purposes... I'm not sure what functions exist that we are not utilizing within our organization.

I use UKG Pro mainly for Benefits Administration. It helps with handling everything from open enrollment elections to managing vendor file feeds. The company as a whole uses it for payroll, recruiting and general HR tasks. Without UKG Pro, there would be more manual processes that would take away valuable time and resources.

UKG Pro helped us through Open Enrollment with very little issues. As someone who works in the benefits field, I highly recommend anyone looking for an HCM system to check out UKG.

Currently use OKG Pro for HR/Payroll. Also use Kronos WFC for timekeeping and are in the final phases of implementing UKG Dimensions. I am a system admin in all these systems. UKG is used for all Payroll processes including time and attendance, accruals, pay, and all HR aspects.

  • Implementation groups that have knowledge of both WFD and PRO, not just one sided.
I think the 2 sides, Kronos and Pro, are the top knotch on each side. Kronos does what it does, the best Time system, and I also feel the UlitPro side is the best HR/Payroll system. However, they are not combined together yet. The process I am sure is a difficult one, but it is creating headaches for customers that do use both sides. Integrations are not complete, and employees the Business Structure to Org Levels is not a match yet. Plus the updating of any job/org level/locations is not integrated yet. Position Management will be a great addition and we are signed up to be on the controlled role out. Looking forward to see how it all talks togeher once rolled out.
