We use Ultimate for payroll, payment services and HR. It has allowed us to use one service to meet multiple compliance issues.
  • Ultimate allows recruiting, onboarding and payroll to be a one stop shop.
  • Payment services handles all our wage attachment payment needs completely and seemlessly.
  • UTA handle our timecards and diversity.
Cons
  • Service needs to be improved upon - the response time is slow.
  • Ultipro needs to test their new offerings better with the ACA product implementation they failed.
The product is great their customer service seems to be improving.

  • Payment Services does a great job with filing my taxes and wages. I
  • hardly ever have problems with these.
Cons
  • Payment services needs to let us check the W2 file and W3 form before they are filed and not after the fact to where we may have to file W2C's

UltiPro a customizable payroll solution.

We are 'Live' in Canada (effective April 7, 2014). We are implementing Core HR, Recruiting, Onboarding for U.S. in October 2014.
  • I think the Core Payroll processing is a great tool. You can customize the payroll model to your company needs
  • The onboarding process is a great tool to allow you to "move" applicants to the Core application
  • BI Reporting offers a powerful tool to perform business analytics.
Cons
  • Onboarding paperwork into the Core application needs to be created
  • Canada payroll/payment services/check printing needs improvement and/or creation.
  • More basic setup to be in the .NET side.
I think the Core Payroll is excellent however, the .NET needs to be enhanced.

Across the whole organization, working specifically with HR & Payroll, and with any reporting needs for both.
  • Customer service is outstanding.
  • Features for both Admin & Employee are easy to use.
  • Always has training available for any aspect of the organization. i.e. Payroll, Taxes, Reporting, etc.
Cons
  • The back office needs to have the visibility enlarged.
  • The back office is rather plain - no color.
  • I do not like entering garnishments in the portal because it is cumbersome.
Very pleased - can't think of anything.

UltiPro is used by all employees for their employee record. They access pay stubs, punch in and out, request time off, complete reviews, and utilize the Learning Management System. The employee journey starts with UltiPro Recruiting, moves into Onboarding, then once the employee is fully hired - they are in the core site. Training Managers in departments have access to manage Training courses in Learning. But, for the most part administrative duties are in Human Resources. UltiPro wraps all parts of the employee journey into one platform.
  • Customer Service - quick turnaround and great service
  • Diverse group of platforms
  • Maintenance and technical support
Cons
  • Full functionality of products before the roll out. Usually takes a while for a new product to fully offer what was promised in advertisements.
This system is well suited for companies that plan to have one system to hit all needs - talent, payroll, employee admin, etc.
