What is Zoom Workplace?

Zoom Workplace brings communication, employee engagement, spaces, and productivity solutions together on a single platform with Zoom AI Companion capabilities woven throughout. It is designed to streamline communications with AI-powered tools that work together through solutions like Meetings, Team Chat, Phone, Mail & Calendar, and Scheduler. A chat can be elevated to a meeting or phone call to get to a resolution faster, and the solution drives productivity with products that are built for modern work through solutions like Whiteboard, Clips, Notes, Surveys, and Docs.

To optimize office experiences and hybrid work collaboration it includes workspace solutions like Rooms, Workspace Reservation, Visitor Management, and Digital Signage. Working at a community college, with multiple campuses, it's a great tool to connect those who cannot be in the same place at the same time. Especially for virtual campus members. Some professors do not even live in the same state, so it's a great way for them to "meet" their colleagues and feel more included.

Nothing can replace face-to-face communication, however, this is a great alternative when that just isn't possible.

Zoom is really helpful for those type of businesses that employee remote employees. It allows for a space we can still feel like we’re working within the same office space. It would be helpful to work on the quality when there are more than just a few people attempting to be in a meeting at a time, as those meetings can sometimes feel laggy.

I think Zoom is a great solution for larger teams with remote workers. It scales well and is friendly for large numbers of users connecting. I don't feel it's necessarily the quickest option if you're a Google user. It's just so easy to go into a hangout without any additional tools or any additional authentication. So, if I have a small meeting, I do sometimes prefer using Hangouts.

Zoom is well suited to provide large or small scale meetings with internal, external, or a mix of meeting attendees with the ability to share content and chat within the meeting experience. Zoom provides better collaboration for mobile users by providing driving mode or full ability to hold meetings when on a mobile device. Zoom is well suited to provide chat capability with searching by keyword or phrase.

Zoom is well suited for our remote team's monthly business update meetings. We are able to share our graphics, and we are able to see each other and even wave to each other! We can communicate clearly with the high quality of audio. Metting managers have ease of use and sharing, which eliminates undue stress.

Zoom is a very brilliant piece of software with time management. Zoom allows its users to expand with excellent collaborations features. After the free version, the user has to pay the same amount, which is a drawback.

I have not faced any scenarios yet where it would be less appropriate, but I guess the whiteboarding experience of MSFT to collaborate is like no other, so if that is needed, perhaps Zoom is not the most relevant option.

I love the fact that I can join from my cell phone or computer and have the same experience and options. Makes it easy so I don't have to search for something I know is there, but can't find, like other applications that work on both a PC and phone but have different options depending on the device you are working on.

It's great for remote-friendly meetings and keeping everyone on the same page. It's really good for pairing or working on code together. It sometimes suffers if there are multiple presenters, as you have to give up presentation mode to allow someone else to present.

Zoom is a perfect solution for having monthly recurring meetings that connect users across the state without having to travel and reserve meeting space. We are still seeking better solutions for a multiple group meeting solution, linking two large meeting rooms with multiple users without having to purchase additional equipment.

Hosting meetings for remote employees. Live streaming a meeting if there's not a large enough meeting space. Teaching courses when some students are remote. 1:1 meetings between employer and employee. Meeting with a potential vendor. Performing sales calls and meetings. Zoom is good for when you have lots of people attending. Zoom is not ideal for constant, quick and simple use for smaller teams. It needs to be simple to use so it can be quick to use, instead, it just intices frustration which gets the mind in the wrong mental state.

Zoom should be the only video conferencing software that you use. It is amazing. It works quickly and easily and it is always great quality. There are very little pain points and are very friction-less. Teams can work and collaborate together with the screen-sharing functionality and be able to cross-train each other.
