Zoom's quality and reliability is better than Skype's. Skype tends to have more buffering issues than Zoom, especially when meetings include a lot of people. However, Skype is more affordable for larger teams and does not come with the same security and privacy concerns. Microsoft takes security very seriously.

Zoom works great for meetings, trainings, and demos. We use it when meeting physically isn't possible, but we still want to have the experience of seeing someone's face or sharing a computer screen. I like how straightforward it is to invite someone to a meeting whereas Skype and Google Hangouts can present challenges by forcing a user to login to their accounts. If we were to have a large group or webinar, we would (and do) use a different product, but for what Zoom can offer, I think it's top-notch.

Zoom is definitely a challenger to more established Cisco WebEx. With a more attractive pricing model for individuals, Zoom is the best options for freelancer professionals and small enterprises as opposed to Cisco WebEx which is well-known and already has an established market among large corporations. Cisco WebEx has a definite advantage in terms of integration with corporate infrastructure.

Zoom has been one of the easiest to use and if I had to make a recommendation between them I'd recommend Zoom since it seems to have one of the shortest/easiest learning curves for non-technical users. Webex seems to have ongoing problems with getting some of our coworkers into the right conference, but I'm not sure that's a technical or a people problem. Those same people seem to be able to figure out Zoom though.

Zoom has a unique particularity that makes me want to use this software rather than the others. This is how neat and clear you can hear and see the meeting. It has an HD option, but we barely use it. I'm not sure if it automatically turns on during meeting, but is a very nice option to have.

We've also used Skype for Business (formerly Lync), and frankly, Zoom blows it out of the water, for a MUCH lower price, and with much more versatility and efficiency. Microsoft Teams is a slight improvement, in my opinion, for working within the same organization, but doesn't afford as much usefulness for working with people who are not members of the organization.

Zoom was chosen for me, but I do occasionally use Jabber. Jabber is MUCH more finicky, and doesn't work consistently. I think we don't use GoToMeeting because it's more expensive.

Zoom is simpler and has higher quality video streaming than either Webex or GoToMeeting. There is no ability to upload large files before a meeting and view in sync, so if there is something with a lot of fine detail or an ultra-high quality video, they have some (more complicated) options for sharing that Zoom doesn't offer.

Zoom provides a much better experience and working satisfaction when compared to Skype for Business. Even the mobile applications for both the platforms differ in tons of ways.

Zoom was much more intuitive and worked much more often than Webex. I have many problems with Webex from both clients ends and our ends not being able to connect or hear us once we connected.

Zoom provides all the features at a much better price point. I can also attest to the quality over Webex. GoToMeeting is a premium product but it comes with a premium price. Zoom fills all the needs and is constantly improving and that’s why I like them the best.

I have used GoToMeeting and Zoom extensively and I think Zoom stacks up better in almost every way. While both are strong products, Zoom has a more manageable user interface and better quality audio and visual. I've also noticed more in the industry are choosing Zoom over GoToMeeting for what that's worth.

We've always had issues with GoToMeeting which is why we looked into using Zoom. GoToMeeting didn't allow us to host 2 or more meetings at the same time. We also had issues with video conferencing on GoToMeeting. Zoom was cheaper per month or more features than GoToMeeting offered and has been great so far. A client of mine used to use Fuze so my experience with it is limited.

Join.me is like Zoom's kid brother. He's a nice guy, similar to Zoom, but ultimately hasn't matured to where Zoom is today. GoToMeeting is like the neighborhood kid that eats glue. There is no comparing Zoom to Glue-Kid. Zoom will continue to get good grades, excel in sports, and become Prom King.

Once Zoom offers a browser version of their software that doesn't require users to download their software, they'll be unstoppable, considering the plethora of features and great User experience.

I have used quite a range of these tools over time. Some work pretty well if all parties are using a laptop with high bandwidth. However, Zoom works extremely well when people are on different devices / media (like some on phone, some on computer). Others services either can't handle mixed device type calls at all, OR the quality suffers. The most common problem is a lag is introduced when you have a combination of computer and plain phone callers. This does not appear to be the case with Zoom.
