TriNet is well-suited to provide the needed support to administrators and employees across the company on any/all matters related to human resources.
Specifically:
1. Defining risk on employee discipline and termination.
2. Support of Leave of Absence (childbirth) process and explanation and direct interaction with employees.
3. Alleviating the daily support requirements normally required of in-house HR team.

I have not experienced any circumstances where TriNet was unable to properly assist me.

Even though TriNet has a few weaknesses, I would recommend it without hesitation as a Cost vs. Benefit comparison! Keeping track of employee timecards and vacations is a breeze with TriNet. Our HR staff was helped by the support and overall help TriNet added as an HR package. Do not hesitate to give it a comparison with it's competitors on the market.

We had a lot of W2 issues with Trinet. They did not correctly enter the stock gains on our employees W2s. This caused so many issues for us, we had to submit multiple forms to create W2Cs. We not only had a huge delay in getting the W2s to our employees but they charged us a lot in fees to get this done.

Definitely well-suited for remote companies who are set up in many different states and want to remove the admin burden of registering, paying taxes, reconciling, etc.
Well-suited for small companies who don't have the time or headcount to manage all of the compliance pieces in all of the different states you're in. Also great for someone who transitions or absorbs HR duties, due to all of the classes that you can take.
TriNet is a more long-term solution with scaling in mind.

Not well suited for companies who are in just a couple states.

When you need a vendor to handle all payroll, benefits, and tax and make it really easy for the business owner, TriNet is great.

It is expensive though, and not appropriate if you are big enough to support yourself.

In my opinion, if you have a smaller company I would not use this company. I believe they are too large and unable to assist companies with simple requests. For example, my employees now need their W2's and are unable to login to the antiquated platform. They have to call and spend over 10 minutes resetting their accounts, and then manually go into the platform to locate their W2s.

For a small organization with limited administrative/HR capacity in-house, TriNet is a great option. They handle so much of the administrative burden and employees are able to communicate directly with TriNet, removing the burden on the organization to manage every employee matter related to benefits, time off, etc. Because much of TriNet is automated, it can sometimes be hard to adapt to unique situations or employee needs, that typically requires some back and forth conversations with a company rep.

TriNet is particularly well-suited for growing companies with limited internal HR resources. Adding a single employee in a new state is very simple with TriNet as they handle everything with the state unemployment and workers commissions. TriNet might not be as good of fit for a company that has all of its operations in a single state and simply needs a payroll and benefits solution. For a company like Priority Power, we need the level of support TriNet offers as we often encounter complex situations in the course of our business.

As discussed, the issues with decision making, access to change things in the portal, payroll support makes me say an 8. If those things were improved, It would be a 10. TriNet is a big company and for smaller companies using this, it makes it feel like we are a small fish in a big pond.

For small, straightforward companies, TriNet is an excellent solution. When companies get larger and/or more complex in terms of employee reporting structures, special allowance requirements for federal contractors; corporate structures, and international staff; I've seen that become more difficult for them to handle.

TriNet allows us to run our business without the distractions of HR management. It has been on cruise control since we began and ensures the "people" side of our business is run to a standard that any large company would use. As our needs grow, our use of TriNet will also grow, and it feels good to know there is plenty of room for expansion.

TriNet is wonderful. My specific TriNet contacts are always more than responsive and eager to help with any request. TriNet is extremely well-suited when it comes to HR-specific duties. These are things like benefit negotiations and elections, hiring and terminating employees, and educational training modules for employees.

TriNet is well suited for small companies looking to outsource their payroll and HR process. Their portal is great and has a wealth of information for our employees, they process payroll correctly and get taxes filed on time and they do a great job keeping up with HR legislation changes.
They are not well suited for larger companies that can afford their own HR department - at another company we moved away for Trinet and saved a bundle

TriNet is a well suited on all payroll processing. Timely reporting and receiving payroll registers and invoice on time will allow you to do the payroll analysis and on time payment.

TriNet is perfect for startups or small businesses. As an office manager of a 10 person team, I have all the support I need to run a full human resources department without having to pay an employment lawyer or spend hours researching the internet for HR/Employment law pertaining to my state. I have peace of mind and confidence that we are running by the letter of the law and my employees have their needs met, such a benefits solutions and timely pay and access to payroll records.
