We use the WFN platform and have added on the Onboarding and Document Cloud features. We will be sending off our employee files soon for digitalization so I can't speak to the Cloud features as of now. If it promises what they say, we should be happy & more effective paper-free.
  • Honestly, I can't think of one thing they do well and that it no exaggeration.
  • Performance Mgmt product is terrible - not at all user friendly so we outsourced to another vendor.
  • Calibration tools would be excellent as we have to manually do this function during our annual performance reviews.
  • Silly updates, like new dashboards, are continually rolled out, which are senseless when they have much larger issues to fix with compensation particularly.
I wish I knew how many times I've called ADP representatives for help with a myriad of issues - hold times can be an hour or longer, and when your call is answered they either 1) transfer you to another department or 2) say they don't know and to submit a ticket in the portal. The ticket issue is laughable, as they do not have a sense of urgency in getting in touch with any sort of assistance so I usually just go it alone - our payroll dept feels the same.

We use ADP for time and attendance, payroll, and human resources applications. All of our benefits are managed through ADP, and we use their retirement services. Having all of this consolidated in one program has given us the ability to streamline many duties. The employee self-services have reduced admin time looking up information that's easily available.
  • Easy user interface
  • Custom reporting
  • Time tracking ability to allocate time
  • Customer Service is very good
  • General ledger interface is difficult to manage
  • General ledger accounts mapping is highly complex
  • Would like to be able to block changes from being made during certain times (such as no changes to 401k deductions, bank accounts, and other things that affect payroll while creating/processing a payroll).
If you just need simple payroll solutions, this may not be the best fit. But, if you have employees in multiple jurisdictions, need integrated payroll and benefits/human resources applications, this is the way to go. Their support teams are great, and problems are almost always solved while on the phone or in a chat.

We use ADP Workforce Now to process payroll and HR functions for 2 companies. Workforce Now enables us to onboard a new employee seamlessly, and the employee can choose to elect e-Earning Statements once an invite is sent and an account created. Every step of adding a new employee is easy to follow and self-explanatory. The payroll and reporting ends are efficient, without my payroll person having to spend a lot of time to get payroll and reporting done.
  • Employee profiles; pay, personal, and employment are easy to navigate and edit.
  • Sample reports are useful! We used the sample reports to apply for PPP loans and forgiveness and for insurance audits every year.
  • We can easily upload a file with hourly employees' hours.
  • The font size of employees' pay rate on Pay Profile should be smaller. I'm always worried someone walks up to me and I can't minimize the screen fast enough.
  • Assigning a time-off policy isn't easy to find.
  • Vacation accrual policy is set up behind the scenes, I'd like to see the criteria without calling customer service.
ADP Workforce Now takes away the burden of having to make tax deposits and preparing employment quarterly/annual returns internally. Especially with us having employees in 2 states, it helps to let ADP take over the tax reporting. However, the Company must have funds in the bank account 2 business days before the pay date which may be a problem for companies who don't have the extra cash reserve.

It is the timekeeper across the organization. Our payroll processing and human resources software. Reporting used for financial analysis.
  • Time keeper.
  • Payroll processing.
  • Quarterly tax filings.
  • ACA reporting.
  • Training new staff.
  • Understanding organization needs behind requests.
Basic payroll processing can be seamless. Contacting support services and getting answers to questions or requests timely is a problem. Too many levels of service bottlenecks the system. Not enough personal attention.

It is used across the whole company. Payroll, HRIS, Recruiting, Time Keeping
  • HRIS
  • Updates regularly
  • Good Support
  • Performance Review is a little hard to get started
  • Supporting documents be able to be deleted
ADP is well suited for the HRIS and recruiting. The reports are great also, available to create your own is a nice feature.
Payroll seems to run smoothly especially with the benefits enrollment that flows over to payroll.
Also, the uploading of documents and having employees acknowledge thru ADP is a big assistance for everyone, and the employees can use the acknowledged documents as referrals.

  • Payroll
  • ADP could be more personal with their clients
ADP Workforce Now website is very organized and easy to navigate. The only thing that is not the best about ADP is their customer service. I feel like once they get your business they step away from your account. They are more hands-off and you have to do a lot.

ADP is mainly used by our Payroll department to track and distribute employee payment, while also being used by all employees as a resource to view paystubs, sign up for benefits during open enrollment, use and keep track of vacation days, and other functions of that sort. It allows our Payroll team to ensure that all employees receive what they earn, at the correct time.
  • Clear, modern, and user friendly UI
  • Allows employees to sign up for benefits and use vacation days very easily
  • Allows for Clocking in and out easily
  • Loading times can be long
  • Can't search for employees by ID number in basic search
  • Some menu items seem redundant
When you need one system to manage all Payroll and Benefits, ADP Workforce now is very useful. My company is a large one, and requires all relevant info to be in one place, and for it to be user friendly enough that our employees, some of which are not very tech literate, and use it with ease. It may not be a replacement for HR and Payroll teams, but it is a valuable tool for them. It is NOT just a CRM though, if you're mostly looking for an employee database/CRM, this is not it.

Timecards and benefits for HR. GL mapping to create entries for Finance.<br>Reports as requested by department managers, HR and Finance. Tracks Time off for users.
  • Timecards - punches and department allocations
  • General Ledger interface to create Finance entries
  • Time off - tracking of balance available & future accrued
  • Availability to see "Classic" look indefinitely after changes to screens
  • Time off requests - changes to screens causing difficulty for users to navigate; need consistency not just change, change, change
Workforce now is easy for users to navigate with little intervention by administrators. My team is very responsive to my questions and needs. Creating allocations by percentages or rate rules is an easy process. Reporting is great. There are canned reports or you can create you own easily.

It's been so helpful since we change to ADP Across the whole organization. We have been using it for around 4 months and I really like that now we only need to use just one program for everything related with HR, still we are learning but we have a good support with ADP all the way long.
  • Payroll
  • Schedule
  • Time and Attendance
  • Benefits
  • Time Clock
  • Time off request
Sends an email for every single change and notices when there are mistakes as well and lets me know when something is missed that I have to take care of.

Currently, we use ADP WFN for payroll processing. Yes, it is being used across the whole entire organization. We are currently implementing applicant tracking systems and even though I've used it in the past it's an excellent choice. We are also implementing the recruiting part of ADP Workforce Now. This will also help streamline processes and take away the manual process of paper applications.
  • Processing with ease
  • Reports are generated easily
  • Mobile App
  • Glitches
  • Response
  • Training
ADP is very user-friendly. And I can always get an answer they take a couple of times. The car company on with I was using an old version of Kronos and could not afford to upgrade Kronos because they went up on their prices. I was able to encourage them to go with ADP and they have not been disappointed at all.

ADP is our payroll software. We use it for every aspect of payroll. ADP keeps track of all of our employee's pay, also we utilize the tax service.
  • Paying employees on time
  • Figuring taxes and deductions
  • Easy to access information on employee's pay.
  • Customer service - overworked employees
  • Too many upgrades and changes - too many are for aesthetic views
  • Not giving us the option to not change the appearance of pages.
Well suited - Since we have not time to waste, when payroll is in error, it allows me to correct to get back to entering payroll, instead of calling customer service which takes forever.
Not well suited - Having personal customer reps that are so overwhelmed that they can't address any issues until 24 hours have gone by. The whole idea of a personal rep for our company is to have them address issues immediately. We have now find it's actually better to wait forever on hold to get a random customer agent, then wait a whole day to have an immediate need fixed.

We currently use ADP Workforce Now across our entire organization. We are able to complete performance reviews, training classes, and so much more through this platform! We upgraded from ADP Run and the transition was smooth and easy -- the implementation team does a great job and make sure you know how to use the features.
  • Payroll
  • Time & Attendance
  • Homepage
  • Performance Review/Corrective Action housed in same area
  • More control for Employers over control of how functions work
ADP WFN can work for you -- small or large company! We have our company plus our division on the same platform with different company codes. We also have employees in different states and WFN makes all parts of HR seamless with is platform. The platform makes it easier to encourage participation and encouragement to follow policies -- ie. requesting a day off.

Payroll used by Finance department, Time & Attendance by most of organization. Billing practices (by person) make it unpractical to add features or the HR module. Becoming more problematic not having HR and PR using the same software but ADP way to costly to add when other vendors include at a much lower price.
  • Reporting features
  • Dashboard
  • Ease of use and user intuitiveness
  • Ability to turn on and off FICA exemption with same file #, other vendors can do it why not ADP?????, big problem with colleges!
  • Run report with W2 data in excel form at for analysis
  • time and attendance modifications can be difficult
ADP has been spending significant time and resources with updates and improvements that are good but too often when they are rolled out, many problems surface with things not running properly for practitioners and employees at the start which is frustrating.

ADP Workforce Now (WFN) is the exclusive software used to track time, labor costs, costs by department and payroll/tax functions. WFN is our recordkeeper, payroll producer and tax advisor on all things payroll.
  • Calculate and record payroll
  • Timekeeping
  • Cost analysis by project name or organizational code
  • Tax recording is complicated and prone to errors.
  • Customer service is provided by random individual instead of a dedicated representative
  • Onboarding of new companies takes MONTHS!!!!
ADP Workforce Now (WFN) works well for large companies with well defined organizational and costing models. It is overkill for smaller companies that need a product to track time, produce accurate payroll numbers an accurately file tax reports.

We use Workforce Now for our payroll, HR, and recruiting needs. It is how we implement performance reviews from managers to employees, manage time off, and how employees elect benefits. While Human Resources primarily uses ADP daily, our managers and employees use ADP for their pay and tax information, benefits and deduction information, organizational hierarchy, and our performance review cycle. ADP keeps all of our HR functions under one program, making it easy to implement our functions while also allowing space for employees to use self-service and find the information we have in ADP about benefits, pay, and policies.
  • Payroll Services are super easy to use and allows us to double check with previews.
  • Self-Service for employees benefit changes and open enrollment.
  • Data tracking, analytics, and reporting on all HR aspects and employee data along with the ability to make custom parameters and reports that suit our needs.
  • Imports for mass changes that allow me to use spreadsheets to implement mass changes quickly instead of updating each employee profile.
  • The homepage allows us a space to put important employee information like newsletters, major policy updates, and employee recognition. We also can imbed links to external resources like our benefit providers logins for employees who need to make claims etc.
  • View as a user needs to be improved so I can view all aspects of ADP as another user. Sometimes I cannot guide employees or managers through processes because their ADP setup, by nature of not allowed access and permissions, looks vastly different than mine. Also as I am not a "Manager" I have no idea what that potion of ADP looks like for guiding managers to implement goals or manage their team's PTO requests.
  • I wish the message center was searchable. Sometimes I need to find a specific message or notification and I have to filter and scroll to try and find it. I wish I could either search or flag/pin specific notifications I know I will need to refer back to later.
  • For recruiting, I wish the flow of the page was easier to work with. I spend a lot of time going back and forth between the requisitions and applications pages. I wish the applications page was always just a slide out of the requisition page-or that I could see more details of the requisition on the applications page.
  • ADP Workforce Now Performance Review Center is always lagging and doesn't load correctly.
ADP is super useful as a way to manage all HR functionalities in one place. I love the reporting aspect with easy options to customize what you need. I wish it were easier to send out mass notifications to employees. I'd like to be able to push a custom message from HR through to all employees without having to necessarily use our emails or other services. ADP is great for self-service. My employees can elect and change some benefits all in one place in ADP and then on the back end the changes are made. Easier for them to do this than to log in to 4 separate benefit provider websites.

It is used as our HRIS, payroll system, and for benefits enrollment, so across the entire organization.
  • Benefits enrollment
  • Payroll
  • HRIS
  • Reporting feature is not user friendly.
  • Customer Service, wait times can be very long and a lot of times, I feel I understand more than the rep I'm speaking with.
It depends on the company's needs. I think for a small company with a small HR presence, it may not be as appropriate, the PEO option is probably better.

We use ADP for our payroll on a biweekly basis. Payroll is processed by our Finance Manager. I use ADP for hire, termination, and changes.
  • Keeps track of times worked
  • Keeps track of PTO
  • Customer Service
  • Implemention setup
We have been using ADP WFN for about a year and are still having issues with the original setup. We have to call the customer service number every time payroll is run to fix issues. Customer service does not always know the answers and we can get passed around to multiple agents. We are told consistently that the issue was because of the setup.

  • Customer service

  • Employee maintenance
  • Service connect is not very user friendly.
  • On 2 occasions, customer service calls were disconnected and were not contacted back by the person helping me. Had to start over with someone else and redo what we had already done. Very frustrating.

We use WFN to pay people by loading external time data sheets per company. We connected WFN with Concur recently. We implemented the Full-Service Wage Garnishments in 2020. We manage and download the GLI files for import into our ERP system. We also utilize tax services. The only downside is that we need an experienced ADP account manager assigned to us to help with various matters due to our tenure, company size, and expected growth by end of 2022 to over 1,000 employees. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with WFN.
  • Continuous self-improvements!
  • Integration with other systems.
  • Allows employers to manage GLI mapping, etc. on their own with ease.
  • Reporting has improved tremendously over the last year.
  • Integration with Merrill Lynch is lacking ease and is very expensive.
  • Need clarifications on how to use some of the employment profile fields, personalized training will go a long way!
  • Need to have a way to do a file import for net to gross pay instead of manual entry per employee. It becomes cumbersome with 200+ people to pay in one payroll.
It is very easy to use! I had no prior payroll experience when I started and thanks to our amazing ADP account manager assigned to us at that time, I have learned a lot, achieved system improvements, and learned how to properly utilize the great tools WFN offers!

Used for payroll processing for 3 company codes, onboarding new hires, terminations, reporting, employee self-service for benefit enrollments and life event changes, office staff timecards, and timeclocks for warehouse staff. Performance reviews and some training.
  • Payroll processing and tax setup.
  • Reporting structure to customize employer needs.
  • Registration for employee self service.
  • Connection files for benefit offerings.
  • Onboarding: Employers need the ability to (customize)required fields for employee data in the onboarding template. Too much time is wasted gathering data from employees after they are hired.
  • Home page customization-give employers the ability to customize the banners and colors to create the home page for their company.
  • More extensive training is needed for implementation and support specialists BEFORE rolling out new modules to customers. We rely on knowledgeable staff to resolve issues as they arise.
They strive to be an all-in-one system eliminating the need to use several vendors to accomplish the goals of the company.

ADP is currently being used across our entire organization. It is our system of record. It allows us to electronically gather information from our employees so that we can spend more time with them when they really need us.
  • Keeps up with technology.
  • Stays on top of legislative changes.
  • Listens to customer feedback.
  • I continue to hear from other employer's who are frustrated at not having a dedicated rep to call with questions.
  • You can't code an ex-spouse in ADP, seems silly in this day and age.
ADP is well suited to an organization where HR professionals are stretched thin (never heard of one that isn't).

At my workplace, we use ADP for everything. It is perfect for HR Professionals. HR systems, onboarding through ADP, and payroll. Able to make custom reports as well. Also used to clock in, out, and request time off.
  • Customer service
  • Having helpful materials for HR Professionals.
  • Very clean and continually advancing.
  • G/L interface
  • Reporting
  • Online onboarding setup
Appropriate for normal office conditions. Using it for a small small business with few or no full-time workers would not be ideal in this setting. Small businesses that do not have full-time workers may not need all of the great things that ADP offers.

ADP Workforce Now is our current HRIS/Payroll as well as ATS system in place. Human Resources and Finance are the two primary departments that utilize ADP. ADP helps us with everything involving our employees from payroll, employment life cycle, benefits administration, mobile us, and reporting, having an all-in-one system with one log in keeps it simple. ADP helps to keep everyone on the same page and can speak in the system terms without confusion.
  • Reporting
  • Payroll
  • Employee digital file
  • E-Verify filing
  • Open enrollment plan building.
  • Security management for new users.
ADP Workforce Now is ideal for medium to large companies with HR professionals. Smaller companies that do not have the bandwidth should use a PEO to conduct business normally used in HR. ADP Workforce Now is great at accessibility and ease of use for administrators. Being able to generate custom and typical reports with field grabber is a great option to have.

We use ADP WFN as our payroll provider and also as our HRIS system. We are currently exploring the marketplace to find an onboarding product that works with WFN.
