Ceridian Dayforce is an excellent product if you have a large budget and can afford every package that is offered. Once things are broken up and patchworked together, the system does not function fully. Clients are forced to come up with workaround solutions that often times add time to projects vs save time/streamline processes.

We have a timesheet process more similar to what is done by government contractors. Ceridian has been very difficult to adapt to our needs despite assurances during implementation that it would work seamlessly.

Dayforce is an amazingly customizable program. We were able to take our policies and procedures and turn them into workflows and forms that can be easily accessed by our employees. The hard part is going to be building future forms and changing as our policies and procedures change. We were able to take a manual system and to build it into Dayforce as an automated HR and payroll system.

Dayforce is great for time tracking. The workflows get really involved and are sometimes hard to follow. Dayforce is very good at handling garnishments and child support. I really like that Dayforce pays the taxes for customers and handles all quarterly and annual tax reporting.
Dayforce is excellent for employees to enter time away requests. We used to have to manually enter requests from paper.

Well suited for an organization with hourly employees and simple processes. We have 360 reviews, a complicated compensation structure, mainly FT employees, and unique org structure so it just doesn't work optimally. Support has been terrible lately as well.

Ceridian is fabulous at the Payroll/WFM and HR level. Recruiting and Onboarding being a newer feature of theirs is still working out the kinks. But their support is great and I never have issues getting any help needed. The ease of use in payroll took processing for 2800 employees from a whole week to just 2.5 days.

I think it has a strong support model. I have frequently needed help with entitlements as they are somewhat of a beast and there are a million places something needs to be set up/created in order for them to work properly (downside there isn't a wizard to walk me through) but support is very knowledgeable. I just wish there was a wizard that took you from step 1 to completion of building out an entitlement.

Great for North America but not great for global countries outside of the UK and Australia. Partnering with other companies is not always the best solution. Our experience has been to make our company the guinea pigs for testing a new global partnership. It would have been nice to know this during the sales process instead of finding out during implementation.

Having all of the schedules roll over to timesheets and the audit trail in timesheets has really helped us. We are now able to look back and see if managers are changing punches and if it was the employee who really did clock in late. Having the system really only one system is beneficial because there is no integration.

Ceridian Dayforce payroll is easy to run. Quick entries make adding unique payroll items and manual checks easy, and totals are easy to review. Imports work particularly well in payroll. Improvement could be made in the benefits module and with the integration between payroll and tax. Tax support for a multi-state company is lacking. The benefits module is not easy to use when you want to make changes to one dependent. All benefits are end-dated and restarted, even if the employee and other dependents are not impacted. We've experienced issues around age-banded benefits that also have guarantee issue thresholds that still do not work after two years on the system.

Ceridian Dayforce is suitable for an organization that is looking for a one-stop shop. It's fast and easy to use for any tech level. You can use as much of the platform as you'd like (e.g., jump all in or build at your own pace). We appreciate that we can grow Ceridian Dayforce at our own pace and add additional features/modules when we have the time and resources to implement them.

Ceridian Dayforce is extremely user friendly. The layout can be customized for each customer. You can set up easy tabs at the front of things you use most frequently to reduce how many screens you need to click into. Customer service answers timely and helps us a lot. I think Ceridian Dayforce is well suited for medium to large organizations (500+ employees).

Ceridian does well with making sure payroll is processed and is compliant with all regulations. I think Ceridian could do better in ensuring PTO accruals are correct so that employees could trust the system with their time away from work and adapting a system or creating a system that will track FMLA correctly.

When making the decision to go with Dayforce or another HRIS/Payroll/WFM solution, make sure the system can handle your business needs. If the business if growing, plan for future needs. Implementing these systems is very detailed and something you should want to stick with for some time. Dayforce offers the complete solution with a fully completely configurable product. This way, when you call for support or speak to other clients, you know they are looking at the same type of screen and similar layout.

Dayforce is fantastic for Human Resources in being able to process payroll, track employee records and timesheets, onboard new staff, and manage benefits all in one place. HOWEVER, it's mobile functions are extremely lacking for 2020 and holds us back from being able to utilize this software completely.

Ceridian Dayforce tries to think of every option and allows for customization in each customer's setup (in all areas - benefits, payroll, WFM, etc.).
With that said, there are also areas where customization could be expanded to include some more options.
Overall, Ceridian Dayforce meets all of our needs and we are able to find a workout when needed.

I think Dayforce is good; it does what it needs to but there is always room for some improvement. For example, we would love it if there were more options to customize employee's information, whether its uploading PDFs with employee information or even having more custom fields, for example, if someone has allergies or not, etc.
